I love the friendliness and honestly that you find at great bear. Ive been a customer for a few years now and they are the best. Audry will always greet you with a smile on her face and Cedric is a top notch mechanic. I love the idea that women are ian important part n this repair shop. But most importantly is the honesty and integrity.Love you guys
Great Bear has always provided excellent care of our Jeep Liberty, helping our oldie but goodie vehicle keep driving at its best. Whenever we need a fix, small or large, they always provide the best service. Audra and her team are great professionals and will continue to bring this and any car there for their care.
I am an auditor for Zipcar and the service GREAT BEAR AUTO Is the greatest the staff is professional, and courteous I bring my personal vehicle here and is the only shop I will recommend to everyone. I LOVE THIS PLACE. Audra and Carrie are the best. And their mechanics Cedric , Brain Sang, and MR MOON RULE.
Great Bear Auto is professional, reliable and communicate with you along the way. They will help you with current auto issues and let you know what you’ll need coming up so you can be safe on the road and prepared. They reply quickly so none of your time is wasted and they also open early!!!
Impossible is nothing with The Great Bear Auto Team. I live in Upper Manhattan, Harlem to be exact, which is a 30-35 min drive from their shop. I havent had the best experience with the neighborhood shops working on my 1997 Cadillac Deville. It seems like in 2021 mechanics arent interested in tackling challenges with cars. Thats not the case here. They rarely say no and always deliver a great finished product in a reasonable amount of time. Thats becoming harder to find. They care about their customers and the work they do. I encourage you to take your car there the next time you need maintenance or major repair work done. You will be in GREAT hands!
Mechanics have No connection with customerOwner is great, awesome. Her explanations were lessons to me. She must be a wonderful instructor. But her employees 👎 some of them need to learn customer service and how to be friendly, more humbleness and more honesty for the people in the front regarding the works of the mechanics. It will be awesome if she can have women working for her too and not only men as mechanics.
A regular here and love the shop, but had an off experience.I was quoted a certain price over the phone. I then approved it with them and approved it with my team as its a company car. When I went to pick it up, I was quoted a higher price. I explained my situation and they did bring it down a little, but I still had to pay more than what I was initially quoted. Money aside, it left a bad taste and for sure didnt seem like a good practice. Should have just been fixed as the mistake was not on the customer.
Went for a Pre Purchase Inspection, was in and out in less than an hour with detail + evidence of what they inspected!! Safe to say I’ll be making the trek from Brooklyn because I think I’ve found my go-to reliable mechanic. 10/10 would recommend to all my car-owning friends.
Always fair, efficient service. Knowledgeable, competent mechanics who take the time to explain the problem and offer suggestions for repair without taking advantage of their customers. I always leave the shop pleased with the work done.GOOD JOB!! SPREAD the word.... There are honest mechanics👍😁
I moved to Flushing a few years ago and needed my oil changed. What appealed to me about Great Bear is they seemed to have really great reviews (compared to other auto shops in the area), it’s a local business, and woman owned!Since then my car has been brought in for a variety of services and I’m never disappointed. Staff is always professional, courteous, and honest and I’ve even had them follow up with me on the work they did. In my experience, quite simply, you don’t get that type of hands on service in New York State, let alone New York City. Great Bear has absolutely become my go to auto shop if anything happens with my car because the people there care, and so long as I live in New York I cannot imagine going to any other shop.It also helps that a doggo is in the waiting area (well, pre-COVID) to keep you some company while your car is being worked on. Thank you Great Bear!
After just buying a used car from a dealer, I can’t thank Audra enough for her help in dealing with the shady dealer warranty, she called them herself & firmly asked them for the paperwork they “forgot” to give me to prove I had their warranty. I then had her shop do a diagnostics on my car which reassured me that I had bought a good car! My friends have been going to her for years & she now has me as a new customer! It is a great feeling to find an honest car mechanic!!
I have been living in Flushing , NY, (10 walking distance from Great Bear Auto Repair) since 1998. I know them for about 20 years. I know 2 generations of people owning this business. I can say only good about them. Over the years, I changed 5 cars: there were cars old and new, imported and American. I do not remember the case that they did not help me when a problem arose. In this auto repair shop, they work efficiently and reliably. All workers are friendly, polite, and really helpful. Sometimes, I come to them for 2 minutes, just to ask why my Bluetooth stopped working or why something is clinking in the left front tire. I always receive a good advice and a quick help if needed. I do not even say about difficult problems which may appear -- they are always ready to help, and do their work very well. They value their clients. They always take seriously their clients needs and problems. It is very pleasant to see that there are businesses with traditions in our in hurry and such a fickle society.
Great shop! Ive had a lot of work done with them now (I really need to buy a new car) and all their work has reliable and professional and they never push me into repairs that I dont need. A lot of shops do that but Great Bear is among the honest few.In addition, the attached body shop are also excellent in their work and make a great effort to work with the customer in making things cost effective. I had two repairs from two separate accidents that were not my fault and a third that was my fault (my insurance doesnt pay when its my fault) and they were able to work with the insurance companies such that I only needed to pay my insurance deductible.
Great Bear had serviced my car, which is 23yrs old, last year in which I was impressed with their service. So when I broke down out of state and had it towed and serviced by the nearest garage to find that it again broke down 2 days later, I had it towed to Great Bear (66 miles) who fixed the bad electrical job the other garage had done. Its been 2 weeks with no problems. HURRAY FOR GREAT BEAR!!! Definitely a must use for any of your car issues.
Great Bear Auto did a good job of fixing my 2004 Acura RSX, which had a check engine light, power steering issue, and a faulty window switch. In addition, the people working there are very nice and will do their best to explain your concerns. I will definitely be coming back to this shop in case my vehicle needs any further repairs or maintenance done. Thanks Great Bear.
I recommend Great Bear to to everyone. After getting jerked around at a dealership these guys dealt with me openly and fairly. Cedric walked me through what was needed and took the time to explain the process. The price was fair and the service was done quickly. Great experience!
Employees or owner (whoever they are) didn’t really welcome their customers. They rushed me when I visited and tried to tell them. They told me I had to get my wipers (front and rear) and other stuff changed, otherwise I wouldn’t get my car inspection passed. They charged me over $200 for inspection. They probably know I know nothing about a car. I wouldn’t recommend or go back.
My favorite place to take my car.Prices are fair, the prices are always based on what you need. You never feel cheated or like you are being taken for.She is an amazing mechanic, owner and down to earth women. They work fast and are so professional, you come here once and you will become a regular.FriendlyAwesome work*best prices*Trusty
I have owned my car for years and every other mechanic was telling g me to get rid of it. It needed new everything. I met Audra (the proprietor) through a friend. I immediately lived and trusted her. I brought my car in and she told me what needed to be done. 2 simple things and VOILA. Just like new! Here’s to a few more good years of no car payments!! Thanks Great Bear!
My experience here was absolutely phenomenal!!! The people here are the most amazing, caring, and professional people I have ever dealt with. They handled my difficult situation with care. I recommend anyone considering this establishment to no longer consider it and just make this your shop!!!! I will be coming here for as long as they are open. I love these people!!! Thank you staff!!And my car is working better than ever!!!
Terrible. Owner Audra is very rude and seems not to care about employees and customers. Place is very run down, the shop ceiling looks like it’s going to cave in.I brought my car for an oil change, it didn’t take long but they said I had to replace a whole bunch of stuff, I asked for the price and the owner tried to charge for installing the gas cap (meanwhile I install it myself every time I go to put gas in my car)When I said Ionly wanted to do the oil change and leave. Audra started acting differently and became very rude and tried to talk to me into buying the services and told me I couldn’t have more of the soup in the crock pot.Terrible customer service. And I paid $80+ tax for a oil change on my Toyota. Price is terrible
This place is fantastic! Finding a good mechanic is as stressful as finding a good doctor that can work with you on multiple levels. The work that they do is top-notch. More than that though, they understand the importance of communication and peoples emotive connection to their vehicle. No one wants to have to repair their vehicle, but unlike any other place, every time we leave here we feel as good. They hear your concern, explain to you the issues, and provide you with all the information that you need to make a decision on the repairs. Unlike other mechanics which take your vehicle into their back black box and then talk down to you or act defensively about the work, Great Bear will take you into the back, show you the work, and they always respond openly and with care when you express your concerns.I cannot say enough about this shop! They are definitely worth making your local auto repair shop.
I have a tendency to be OCD, therefor i do my due diligence. After getting estimates for things needed to be done to my car as well prices I was recommended to Great Bear and Audra. I decided to choose them. My car was fixed beyond what my expectations were and the price was extremely fair and reasonable. I highly recommend them.
Best staff ever. They are professional and courteous. Ive compared prices in the past and great bear is extremely fair. I have mechanics closer to me but i drive a little further to have all my oil changes and inspections done through them. Ive worked in hospitality for nearly 20 years and i would like to thank the staff for the excellent hospitality they offer with a great attention to detail.Ill be seeing you in another 3000 miles. Thank you
It’s been a pleasure coming to Great Bear for all our vehicle needs. Audra, Julia and the rest of the team have been very helpful in addressing and explaining the issues we have on our vehicles. We’ve been coming here for a long time and our vehicles have always been taken care of. They always make sure that we’re informed about the repairs or extent of the repairs and they’re always mindful of the costs involved.
Great place to get your car fixed. Friendly, reliable, service. Reasonable prices. Relaxed attitude. Car is always fixed when they say it will be. They will go the extra mile to offer you less expensive alternatives. And they will take care of minor matters on the spot, often free of charge. Cant recommend Great Bear enough!
Excellent service and very welcoming staff.I recently moved from Texas and had to register my 2012 Hyundai sonata to New York. I read some tips from DMV but still didnt exactly understand what the process was. I came into great bear after reading their reviews and I couldnt be more happy. Julia was very helpful and explained the NYS inspection requirements and the steps . The mechanics were also nice enough to put on my new registration sticker into the right spot. This will be my go to auto shop
This is one of the best most trust worthy place I have ever been to in my life. Open honest and very helpful. The people are friendly informative and assure you your car is in good hands. Could not be happier with the service and worth the 30 mile drive for a place so trust worthly. Thank you guys so much.
Came in for an annual inspection, oil change and tire rotation and left within 45-55 minutes. I have been coming here a few times and its nice that they have breakfast/snack items and coffee available in the service area. The mechanics had no problem answering some questions I had even though they always have a line of cars waiting for them to attend to. Price is pretty standard but it’s nice to support the local business who you can trust and also know they will only suggest fixes if truly needed.
Great store, great price as well! They have some Women Auto Know certification. Only bad thing about this place is that they have a long wait... So call ahead and schedule an appointment. They fixed the scratch on my front bumper, the scratches above my right rear tire and the scratches on my rear bumper all for $1,500. Other people quoted me the same for one third the work! Of course, this is not a guarantee that you will get the same price, but they appear to take pride in their work. So I definitely recommend this place.
Went there because I had some problem with the fuel tank and they quoted me to replace the whole tank which cost several hundred dollars. Then I went to the shop next door to get a second opinion and they said all I needed was a new sensor. Got it fixed for less than a hundred buck. Great bear is overpriced and doesnt care about your pocket. I see lots of government vehicles there and I assume they dont care about the price tag. If I were you I will look elsewhere. Oh they do get there job done since I been there several times thats why they get two stars instead of one.
I had similar experience with the other reviewer and I find the lady manager very rude. All that response about customer service being priority is complete bs. I was charged $50 +tax to re-thread an $8 bolt on top of everything I needed to get done to the car. Im not korean and most likely that is a huge factor for trying to screw me over like that.If I can deduct the stars they currently have, I would in a heartbeat. I NEVER in my life had seen a mechanic put a custom wheel FACE DOWN eventually scratching the surface that cost me $180 to repair. Unbelievable!! I know hes not very bright for doing that and can only imagine the repairs he does on customers vehicles. The way management handled the situation speaks highly of what this establishment stood for which is absolute garbage. Do yourself a favor go to a reputable mechanic, this shop is not it! Youll thank me later.
I want to start with I love the fact that it is female owned, and found out later that a young lady was the one who worked on my car, its totally awesome! You go ladies!!!VERY PROFESSIONAL!!! This is the place I will always bring my car.. They are very helpful and polite, and dont like to make you wait! They do an amazing job!! I love it here! Such a friendly environment!!
Ive gone here in the past because the great reviews and had an issue with overpricing here before. Recently I had a family member that had their car stalled nearby. I decided to give this place another shot. Got a $300 quote for an alternator. I knew I could get it cheaper but didnt want to pay for the tow. Ultimately, they charged $400!
Putting the words honest and mechanic next to each other might feel like an impossibility but with Great Bear Auto, you get just that, an honest mechanic. I live in Whitestone and I purposely drive here to get all my work done because theyre honest.A few weeks ago I needed to get a flat tire fixed and because one of the bolts was stripped, the mechanic near my house wanted to charge me $90...I kid you not. Saying things like he has to use fire or something to loosen it up. Whatever, its my fault for going somewhere I didnt trust so I drove to Great Bear and they took the bolt off and I got a new one for like $15.If youre looking for an honest mechanic, look no further! :)
I trust Great Bear with my car. The office staff is always incredibly nice and accommodating. The mechanics are nice and dont talk down or overwhelm me because I am a woman. I like knowing that my mechanic isnt trying to swindle me, and is actually trying to help me out.
Wow. Such horrible customer service. Went there to get a little advice on a my car as I needed help. The Asian girl at the front desk was very rude and quite snippy. Didnt care to listen or hear what I had to say. If only is she took the time to hear my concerns and offered a little advice other than to tell me to just tow my car in. I would have given them my future business. Thats how you build a following and customer relations. Not just simply tell the customer to tow their car in so you can make a buck. I will make sure I and neither of my friends or family patronize this place.
The minute I walked in here I knew my car was in the right place; Ive never felt more at home in car shop before; the most attractive quality about this place isnt the ladies(yes, I know theyre such sweethearts), but rather the atmosphere that surrounds this place. Audra and her staff are very friendly, ethnically mixed(so anyone can be comfortable here), and they have a nice Korean dog.Despite all their acclaim, their prices are pretty good; they even checked my car out on the diagnostic for free. I feel more comfortable leaving my car in their lot with my keys inside than out on these NYC streets.See all these reviews? Treat your customers well, and theyll return the favor!Did I mention they let you go to the next door gym while you are waiting?!As a car owner, it can be easy to take out your frustrations on the repair men/women, but trust me these people only want what is best for you and your car.
I brought my car here to get the check engine light looked at and was fairly happy with the service they provided. I think the price might have been a bit high, but car repairs arent cheap, so who knows? The staff were friendly and accommodating and answered all my questions pretty well.
A total waste of time and money. I brought my car in for possible transmission problems. I was assured it WASNT the transmission at all and was made to feel confident by the owner Audra and her expertise. I paid for other parts to be changed and was out almost $1K. When I picked up my car, to my surprise it had more issues than when I initially brought it in! Then I was told it may be the transmission after all and would have to pay extra for them to order other parts!I was all for a woman owned auto body, but Audras friendly demeanor turned nasty and unprofessional once she realized that the work her mechanics had done did not fix the issue and that I wasnt going to pay extra for a job poorly done. I will NEVER bring my car back. I see they went from 2 stars to 4.5 stars, so maybe something changed but Ill take my business elsewhere.
Moving out of state, I unavoidably needed to make a 650-mile drive with my 17-year-old Honda. A gas leak, rusty exhaust pipe and catalytic converter, aging brakes and failing rotors were just a few of the problems with this car—as noted by other garages, all of whom charged more to fix them than I could afford.Enter Great Bear. Audra Fordin, locally famous for her top-level auto knowledge, solved ALL my problems affordably, replacing the brakes/rotors/pipe and fixing everything else in remarkable turnaround time! Im writing one week after having taken the drive; my former junker made the 650-mile trip in a single day with no problems, and continues to perform just fine.Ms. Fordin and her team deserve all the business they can get. Thanks for everything!
This shop is excellent, it is my go to shop for anytime I need my car repaired, for both maintenance and auto shop!! This place is excellent for Koreans too!!! There are Korean workers and they are all so friendly!! The workers are great!! They are so kind and so trust worthy!! They will help you for whatever you need!! They will be there for you!!
I have a 2000 BMW 528i that was long overdue for attention. The Great Bear team was extremely informative, and they got my car back on the road for another few years (fingers crossed!). The services provided were affordable and justified, and Im so grateful that Audras team was not intimidating and nurtured me through the process. Thanks Great Bear!!!
Honest and caring automotive mechanic shop. Brought my car in for a battery assessment - they diagnosed and found a drain. Turns out my auto-start was draining thr battery, since I dont use it any more, I had them unplug and deactivate. Was able to use my battery for another year before replacing.
My experience with Great Bear Auto Repair was a show of true character and care for customer experience. I took my car in for an alignment. The mechanic took care of the alignment and took the car for a road test and got in to an accident with my vehicle. A driver was backing out of his driveway and hit my vehicle damaging the side of my upper bumper and denting the lower part of the rear door and wheel bay and numerous scratches stretched across the rear and passenger side door.I came to Great Bear on the recommendation of a friend who had his Camaro serviced years ago when he lived in Flushing.Getting back to the accident, Great Bear Auto Repair took care of my bumper, dents, and scratches from the accident free of charge and showed a sense of care and urgency, especially with this being my first experience. Shari, Johnny, Kenny, and the crew are a delight and I am recommending this Auto Shop to all of my friends and co-workers.Only bad news is that unfortunately Im taking my vehicle to Ford for a 4 wheel alignment and to check the suspension, springs, shocks and etc.. since the alignment didnt work out and to make sure no additional damage was done after the accident.
I had an experience about two weeks ago I took my car to Nissan for a service engine light and it had a code p304 , so they pulled the plug and found that it was fouled out. They replaced the plug and I had left then service light comes on again p300, took it back to Nissan they had my car for 4 days. They told me I needed a head job ,so I replied is that going to fix the problem, yes I said ok how much is that going to be ( sorry 02 maxima btw) 4,200.00 and if u need timing belt and valve guides its going to be 5,200.00. So I left then I remember watching on you tube about this female mechanic in Queens named Audra so I said let me do some research and looked at the reviews all positive, so I said to myself let me check them out. So on Tuesday of last week I stopped by and talked to John I believe the guy inside with Julia. He explained that so many things can turn that light on. I said well I want to bring the car in on Thursday. He said ok no problem , went in on Thursday morning and found out that the engine had carbon inside he had used a camera and showed me , then he did a compression check and found that two of the cylinder was low in compression. So Julia inside had found me a used engine with 69,000 miles on it . I had replied ok order it and long and behold the engine was delivered with in 2 hours, they had also told me the old engine would be out and new one installed by late Friday evening but to give them a day to check and make sure that everything is OK. I said no problem , u will have ur car on Tuesday because Monday was 4th of July, I said ok long and behold Julia call me Tuesday morning at 830 ur vehicle is ready. No service light and the car performs good. Nissan would of charged me all that money and the problem still would have been there. Thanks Audra, John and Julia and staff for ur services.
Ive been going to Great Bear for many years now Ive always found them to be honest and very reliable. Audra and her staff are the best they explain everything that has to be done and they totally stand behind their work. The price they tell you is the price you pay. There are no surprise charges. I wouldnt go anywhere else
These guys are terrible. Do not believe any of the 4 or 5 star reviews. Like Rocky said in the other review, Audra the manager is scummy. They tell you that they’ll take care of it and they always find faults with this and that. These guys are your stereotypical crooked auto shop who will find fault with your vehicle every time you bring it in. Avoid this place.
My wife brought her car in there to have some maintenance stuff down. She also asked them to check on why the check engine light is on. The mechanic, Andres Salazar told her that she needed to replace the oil pump and it would costs about $700 to $800. She brought the car home. I had another shop look at it and they replaced the gas cap for less than $100. Dont go to this place. They prey on women, hoping to overcharge them for unnecessary work.
Hello Guys,I had my car check engine light on after I filled my car with gas. I went to many Auto repair workshop located on Northern Bulvard . Just to look at the problem, they were asking $99 ......I checked Internet and people recommended Great Bear Auto Repair. I drove to the Great Bear : The reception was super fast and very happy invironment. After giving required info, a young girl asked for my car key and came back within 5 minutes and said: Seems like there was a minor problem ......, I reset check engine light, you should be fine ... and if it comes back , bring your car back.Astonishingly, in addition to offering a drink, No, a panny charge!!!😄Aaron
Horrible. If I could give it zero Stars I would. If you come here be prepared to overpay and still not have your problems resolved. The mechanics dont know what they are doing, I paid over $700 and my problems were still not resolved. I went somewhere else and was told I wasted my money, low and behold it was something entirely different that was wrong with my car and it only cost $100.00 to fix!Avoid this place at all costs, youve been warned!!!
Came here from a recommendation that I got from my cousin. She told me that there’s a female-owned auto shop nearby my house and the owner hold free workshops at the location to teach about cars! Thought this was great and decided to give them a try, their work is always excellent and never fails to disappoint me
Wow...so many women and oh so talented. I came in and saw Audra - that in itself was great for me - then she did her interview of me, which was great. I got more info then I ever got before and felt really good about it. The icing on the cake was the person she turned me over to. I think her name was Caila and she was dynamite...The experience was one that was great for me and my car. I will go back again...for sure.
I had a bad experience in this place. They were supposed to fix my car but they damage other part of my car. When I went to the shop to tell them, the lady in the front told me that they didnt broke the part. And I had to spend 500 to fix my car, because I had to bring my car to the dealer.
Julie and the owner Audra are very nice and they are very knowledgeable and know what they are talking about and are honest. Julie was extremely helpful every time and does her best to try to provide excellent service. I would definitely recommend this shop to other people.
I would give it a no star if that was an option. It looks like several complaints were made about this so called manager Julia who speaks Korean. The fact that this rude person is still there shows that company has done nothing about previous complaints made about this girl.Appatently her name is Julia and says she is the manager. She comes out ready to attack as if all customers are there to fight her. She cuts you off and if you respond to her rudeness, she will tell you to get out.If you get upset and ask for the owner, she will tell you that he/she is American and speaks no korean. When you say that is fine and that you would still like to speak with the owner, she will then say he is not not here right now.We used to utilize them until we experienced this rude girl today. Never going back.P.S. Julia if you read this, i suggest you go and check your own website. Unlike what you said, your website indicates that you guys take appointments.
Be aware!!! weird things happened. wipers rubber blade teared off like someone cut it with knife. my cabin air filter looks like garbage all of a sudden.I changed wipers a month ago and used them few hours ago. my cabin air filer was mostly clean few weeks ago. all happened during insfection.
I took a workshop with Audra Fordin of Women Auto Know and the 4th generation of Great Bear Auto Repair. I know *nothing* about the mechanics of a car and after I took her workshop, I learned so much about the inner workings of my vehicle. Audra teaches you in clear, easy to understand language what goes on under your hood. I highly recommend the workshop and Great Bear Auto Repair for all your automotive needs.
I lost my money going to other places to try find out what is happening with my car . And a young guy , I dont know his name look my car and find out the problem is with the system upgrade . And he didnt charge nothing because just a Audi can do this upgrade . They did the appointment for me on Audi . They was honest and helpful.
Not honest. Not negotiable. Don’t have good skill for repairing. If you are not sure and repairing is not worth than value of vehicle, please give second option before you try something. Don’t guess for repairing. Customer will lose the money and time for your training.
This place will rip you off and make you come back by breaking other parts Literally. If you dont believe me try this shop.I went there 3 times in a week. They broke other part of my car the 3rd time so I am fixing it with someone else. STAY WAY! Its a scam, dont go there. just expensive Cars keep breaking down.
Go in at least 25! Pay attention to car inspection ⚠️! Unscrupulous in order to make money! Talk nonsense with your eyes open! Go in and find your brake pad and brake disc fault! You will be charged 25 inspection fees if you do not take the car! Cant do it! Flushings most garbage repair shop!

2021-09-30Great Bear on Sanford Ave is the Best experience I’ve had ever at an automobile repair shop. They are super friendly and honest. They fixed my car in a timely manner with great communication. Jenny is the mascot who greats you at the door, she’s a super sweet dog, love her!

2022-01-03Great Bear is a small shop that takes pride in its work. I was really impressed by Cedrics automotive knowledge and the professional attitude of the owner/managers. I felt they were honest and charged a reasonable price for the repairs I needed, which were extensive. Overall, I highly recommend them.

2022-04-30More friendly than going to a chain shop. They will actually listen to your concerns about your car and will bring things to your attention, but they weren’t pushy at all about it, they just did what I brought it in for and simply provided a quote for recommended services. Everyone I spoke to here was personable and informative.

2022-06-04It is good to be back. I used to come here from 2012 to 2016 until I sold my old car and bought a new one.Fast-forward to 2022, my warranty is expired so I am back to Great Bear Auto.Audra and her team are great. On May 28th, 2022 I had a noise coming from my front axle. Audra had one of the mechanics test drive it. It was an issue with my brakes one side was wearing faster.Audra explained that they would try to free up the brake and if that didnt work I would need new brake pads and rotors. What I like about going to a place that is honest and trustworthy is that you can actually see the work being done. You can ask questions and they can actually show you the parts that have been taken off I replaced.

2021-09-16Very thorough mechanic with a great customer relations philosophy (see photo). Love that it’s been in the family for 4 generations and is now run by the great-granddaughter of the founder!

2022-06-20Avoid this place when you need to get nys inspection, 900$+ to replace brake pads and rotors. I agree I’m need to change pads, but rotors are not worn out and rusty, it is 3 yo Toyota Highlander with only 25000 miles not aggressive driving on it.

2022-04-30I brought my 2018 Mercedes SUV here. There was some computer related problem that was difficult to diagnose. German cars are overly complicated LOL. They figured it out and got it resolved. No problems since.

2022-05-03One of the friendliest and most reliable shops youll come across, they prioritize informing the customer instead of just upselling them and they give really good advice on maintaining your vehicle.

2022-02-12I took my Subaru 2012 forester for a second opinion after the Subaru dealership service stated that my car need an estimated recommended repair of $11,000. Great Bear checked and inspected an all the recommendation repairs that was listed by Subaru dealership service. Great Bear mechanic was very honest and upfront about whats needed to be repair. Great Bear mechanic show me the what was going on under the hood and underneath the car. Overall my car didnt need the $11,000 quoted by Subaru dealership service. There were some part that might need future attentions to since it is an old car. Great service once again from the Great Bear Staff.
