SUCH A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!! I hired Great Green Cleaning after being sorely disappointed by several other cleaning companies--so disappointed, in fact, that I hadnt had one come in for years. Great Green absolutely rocked it out. They cleaned my house thoroughly and with very little input from me--and our cleaner, Caroline, did it with a smile and a kind word for both me and my three-year-old daughter. Love them and cant wait to have them back in! Ill be calling them much more frequently, especially since were expecting a new little one!
I had Great Green Cleaning come and prep my house for an extermination. They did a phenomenal job with the cleaning, packing and moving of my stuff. They took time and did everything correctly. The cleaners they sent over were very professional and had a lot of experience in this type of cleaning job. They came in under estimate and did a great job. I will continue to use them moving forward for other cleaning needs.
Ive used two other cleaning services in the past couple of years. I tried Great Green Cleaning for the first time earlier this week. The person who came by to clean my apartment did an excellent job in the 3 1/2 hours he was there. The floors were clean again, the carpet looked great and most of the dust was gone from the furniture. The previous company I used (cant remember their name) was pretty good also. But the person who cleaned my apartment was on her cellphone for an hour as she worked. No such problem with Great Green Cleaning. My only gripe is I wish they were a little less expensive.Four and A Half Stars. I highly recommend them.
I highly recommend Great Green Cleaning services. I was in search of a company that uses eco-friendly and non-toxic products. This company provided exactly what I was looking for. My apartment feels super clean without smelling like bleach. I love the feel of my home and can breathe easy now. Customer service was very accommodating and attentive throughout the process. Vernice did an excellent job with the cleaning and made sure I felt that happy with the results. I am satisfied customer and plan to schedule with them again in the future.
I am very happy with Great Green Cleaning. Ive used them three times now. Both the office staff and the cleaners are very professional and thorough. Its wonderful to feel that you can hand over the cleaning of your home to someone else - Ive been hesitant to do that for a long time.I can be very specific about what I want done and the cleaners are very conscientious about listening. And they do a fabulous job - difficult tub stains disappeared, hard to get to areas get cleaned and I like that they use environmentally friendly products. And they follow up with you after the cleaning is finished. They truly care about their clients experience. A pleasant experience all around!

Opening a preschool was no easy task and throughout the process I encountered many professionals, unfortunately some that did not have our best interest at heart. Discussing our post construction cleaning needs with the team at Great Green Cleaning was a breath of fresh air. From the very first phone call I could detect the care with which they approach every cleaning project and I could tell how serious it was to them that their clients were left with a safe home or business. Cindy made every effort to offer the most comprehensive plan at the best possible price in order to suit our budget. Her dedication was heartfelt. I would recommend this company to anyone seeking competent honest service and I look forward to working with their team time and time again!
I bought a house which was a known fixer-upper ... but one never knows just how much of a fixer-upper such a house is. Its a small house and so every square foot of cleanliness was cherished since I had to live in it during the renovation phase. The entire house was under construction for three months. I had Great Green come in during the construction once a week to keep my personal space livable. Without them I would have had to spend *thousands* of dollars on hotels and would have been displaced from my home-office. Great Greens people were courteous, respectful, and worked around the various trades, and saw their work dirtied even moments after they cleaned. They didnt whine or complain, just kept cleaning to keep me sane. While it might seem strange to clean during the construction, they managed to keep the dirt and dust to a minimum. The post-construction cleanup was a blessing! I had my first business meeting at the house three days after construction was completed and a family party a week after that. Tops of doors, fan blades, moldings, even folding piles of clean clothes ... nothing was too much and Im very grateful. What I liked best was that any time I had a request or noted something with which I was not satisfied they were more than willing to work with me toward resolution. For this alone (and doing so under difficult circumstances), I give them an A+.
Great Green Maids was wonderful! I was out of state and worked with them, via a distance, to discuss cleaning my one bedroom apartment. Mary, who helped me and managed the process, was thorough, specific, instructive, and full of questions which helped me determine the care my apartment needed. When I returned home, my apartment was in excellent shop; tip top. Terrific! I highly recommend Great Green Cleaning.
My experience with Great Green Cleaning was tremendous. They were courteous, highly skilled, and professional. Those with whom I spoke on the phone as well as the specialists dispatched to my home were all exceedingly patient with all of my questions, were meticulous regarding the plan we adopted, and always followed through. I have called on them for a range of services and in each case, they have exceeded my expectations. I am grateful for having found Great Green Cleaning.
I called Great Green Cleaning because I needed a thorough cleaning the next day. I was thrilled that they had professionals available on such short notice. The customer service was great and the professionals showed up on time ready to go. After I suggested that I was not happy with the floors, they did them again and so thoroughly they have never looked so good. My roommates were really impressed with the level of quality of the cleaning and so was I!
I really enjoyed my experience with Great Green Cleaning. It was given to me as a gift. The office staff making my appointment was wonderful. The owner, Cindy, taught me how these things work-what tasks they can do and about how much time different tasks take. Im a bit inexperienced with these things and it was confusing for me the last time I had someone clean my house. Having those questions answered really made the experience more relaxing and enjoyable. She also helped me choose someone to come to my home who matched my preferences and priorities. It was important to me that I felt comfortable with the person so I wouldnt feel embarrassed or stressed. It was great that the office also called before the start time to tell me in advance that she would be arriving a bit late because the train service by my home was shut down. The woman who came, Qhadijah, was kind and friendly and competent and good with my daughter. Everything she cleaned was done well and I liked the way she asked if there was anything she missed. She was very cooperative and open to anything I asked for. She put me at ease and made it an enjoyable experience. I would use her again and I recommend this service to anyone who needs cleaning or housekeeping or anything else and I intend to recommend to any friends or family who are looking for a great experience with reliable service.
I had to clean after they left. I was told that moving furniture would not be a problem but was sent a housekeeper with bad knees, who called the office to complain. The housekeepers brought Popeyes chicken and ate it during their shift. I found chicken crumbs on the kitchen counter! What is so great and green about that? When I called to complain, the customer service rep only offered excuses for the housekeepers. They did not discount my service, only gave me a credit for the next cleaning. There will be no next time!HOUSEKEEPING MADE COMPLICATED AND OVERPRICEDUpdate:Since this review I have had 3 different company reps call me to make excuses about the service. They offered credit on my account for the next cleaning. What account? Thats a clever way to keep my money.I finally decided to take them up on this credit. I had a vacant apartment that had recently been painted in preparation for an incoming tenant. I called to make the appointment and was told that vacant/newly painted apartments have a different rate that would not apply to my credit. Done!
I have been going to Great Green Cleaning for many years. Over 4 now since I moved to NYC. I have had a lot of different cleaners and all been very good. I have Diane now and she is terrific. The office team is great-just helped me with a big project on my new condo. I would highly recommend them.
We had an absolutely fantastic clean for our first cleaning with Great Green. Diane was our cleaner and she took care of the apartment after a roomie moved out. She had the whole place deep cleaned down to the baseboards and the shoe tray. Love that they use natural/ non-toxic cleaners as well. Thank you Diane! Thank you Great Green!
We had a very disappointing experience with Great Green Cleaning. First, our oven was left on for several hours after the cleaners left our apartment (and it was never cleaned.) Next, our stovetop was inoperable when we returned home. We called an appliance company and paid $200 to fix the stovetop. Their report stated that large amounts of soapy water spilled into stovetop disabling the spark module. Great Green denied us reimbursement or credit. We do not recommend this company due to negligent actions and poor customer service.

We were dealing with a roach infestation from a prior building that our moving company had brought along with us, and had no idea where to get a proper cleaning done before the exterminator that our new building dealt with came to nuke them from orbit. On doing a search for cleaners that handled bed bug prep (bed bug prep is worse than roach prep, right?), we found Great Green Cleaning. Laura turned what would have been the fortnight from hell that was getting rid of the infestation into something manageable, even helping with the unpacking of some boxes when we were just too overwhelmed to look at them. The work that the team work did in my house and my garden was stunning. They manage to reorganize all my house and really know what they are doing. The best of all its the fact that all the cleaning product they use its no. Toxic and green. I highly recommend them for a spring cleaning garden. I hired Great Green Cleaning for a private event at home [before and after] and they did a superb job. Clear communication, their cleaners arrived early, and did SUCH a thorough job. I cant recommend them highly enough!
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. I just finished reporting this business to the Better Business Bureau. When we arrived home to inspect the cleaning job, the cleaners were finishing up; not only were they being extremely loud and dropping the broom countless times, but there was dust everywhere (when we had specifically told them this was a concern), and part of the ceiling in the common hallway had collapsed. When I called to voice my concerns, they claimed the guarantee only entails sending new cleaners to come clean the place and was refused a refund. I was charged over $800 for this clean and I didnt get a clean space.FOLLOW UP - the response below completely manipulates the situation as Great Green Cleaning didnt actually follow up with any phone calls and I never said I was satisfied with the clean. At this point they will not return my phone calls and have even hung up when I say my name when they answer the phone. They have not worked to resolve my complaint with the BBB, and I still have a charge on my card for hundreds of dollars. I cannot believe the lack of attention, responsiveness, and professionalism of this business.
I highly recommend this service; besides the promise to use natural cleaners, I found the customer-service/organization/communication excellent. The quality of my cleaning was great, and my cleaner worked really hard to get the most done as possible within the time window I’d requested. No complaints.
Fabulous job! Both the cleaning crew and the back office staff were very helpful, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. I hired Great Green Cleaning to assist me with some difficult cleaning chores that were either out of reach or required more strength than I had and was very happy with the conscientious manner in which the work was done and with the finished product.
Great Green Cleaning is by far the best cleaning service I have ever used. I have 5 Bedroom house in Brooklyn and these guys brought it back to life. Having 3 children in a large house makes it a but messy and you find things that you never though you would and hoped you never would. There were 2 maids that cleaned and also they used green cleaning products which is great b/c I have children and regular cleaning products can be extremely harmful to them. When they finished ( about 4hours) everything shined and you couldnt find a piece of dust in the place. I booked them last month and since then have signed up for a regular cleaning every month. Not only do these guys clean but they offer services that are beyond any maid service I ever used. I have 2 dogs, Nikki, and Max - they will walk daily and feed them when we cant make it home. Living in New York can be hard when both the husband and wife work but these guys have helped us so much and I have to say they are well worth the price.
Amazing service!! Were at our apartment within an hour. Spent 4 hours cleaning up a huge mess left from Airbnb guests. Customer service was top notch! Great communication! Really an all around amazing experience! That is hard to say now a days.. Will 100 percent use them again and will tell all my friends about them! Thank you again!!!
Great reviews on line . Found them to be Prompt and courteous.Had a vacant condo and needed cleaning for a new tenant (had no cleaning supplies available.) They provided them (at a charge of course) but explained they do not use equipment from other places in order not to cross contaminate. (Appreciated that.)Dealt with Geena and had a call that due to the marathon there was a delay for their arrival (which was much appreciated). Had the real estate agent go in afterwards to report on the condition and he said it all looked terrific.. so based on his report and my phone calls with them, I would recommend. Very professional
Ozzie did heavy duty cleaning in our apartment. He was excellent, friendly, strong, fast we couldnt be more pleased. The agency was very helpful, cordial and went out of there way to accommodate us in every way. Iwe highly recommend them.
I’ve been a Great Green customer for several years, and would strongly recommend their services. They aren’t the cheapest option, but they are the best I’ve worked with in NYC. The cleaners are punctual, friendly, and detail-oriented, and the front office team is competent and responsive 24x7.

When you need a great cleaning service on a short notice, look no further. I needed someone that wouldn’t use harsh chemicals and had good reviews and went with these guys. I was happy I did. I can vouch that they are fast and efficient.
They seemed very friendly and professional on the phone when I set up my cleaning appointment. I ended up having to cancel my appointment but they told me it was no problem and I would not be charged. A month later a charge from them for $315 appeared on my credit card. When I called back to ask them to reverse the charges, they were very polite and seemed concerned, and said the manager would need to get back to me. That was last week, and no one got back to me, Ive called again three times, each time someone seemed very concerned and told me the manager would get back to me, but this has yet to happen. I will give them a few more days and then file a dispute. Very frustrating.
Great Green is top notch, very professional and trustworthy. The cleaners they sent did an amazing job. Scheduling is easy and effortless and everyone that works there are helpful and caring. I highly recommend.
Worsè company ever they are a joke. I dont know why ppl even bother to work or book with them they are very unethical no one is on there A game. Lie a lot have no work for you and pay dirt cheap. all they do is smoke cigarettes and order food. the staff attitude is very nasty on the phone talk to you anyway and they run a dog daycare out of the office how can you hear when a dog is always barking in the background while customers call so unethical. I will never recommend them for customers or employees they pay is dirt low and they charge $400 for a put together IKEA and Amazon kit and used cloths. how can they promote a so call Green cleaning company and have such a nasty smoking habitI wish I had not even wasted my time. they need a whole new staff no one dont know nothing and will lie a lot. best advice go work for another company I see why they can not keep no employees I heard and they are very messy. that is why I was not going to give my valuable time to them full time I saw how unorganized they was and no knowledge what to do if they will stay off the computer watching YouTube and get more training and some work done what a down grades place it is nothing like I expected it to be a bunch of lies. better yet get someone who knows the business wish I read all the negative reviews before I stepped foot in this place people please believe all the negative reviews they are true and some
It was a month ago -As a first time client I would say this have been the worst cleaning service ever. Very rude staff and very expensive. I was yelled at for correcting the mistake and the cleaning was not 100 percent.Cleaning - Dust left everywhere , toilet bowl not cleaned properly and everything was absolutely horrible. For great reviews it dont show it that way .Price - very very expensive . For the price there should be great work.In reality I am not thrilled of the cleaning and this place lost a customer. I could find better cleaning services than great green cleaning.

WORST service ever. The apartment cleaning was overpriced and took way too long for the square footage of my apartment--it was clear the cleaner just wanted to stay longer so that I would get charged more. Moreover, she may have smoked in my apartment--it smelled horrible, like smoke, after she left. The cleaner also used ALL my paper towels (I had a lot!)--you apparently have to provide paper products (the mop I understand, but PAPER PRODUCTS??), and she left paper towels wadded up on my towel rack in my bathroom. It was disgusting. I contacted them about it, and they did NOTHING. STAY AWAY. I will never be using this service again.
I was very happy with the cleaning service provided by Great Green Cleaning and the expert assistance from Shavonna. The place was sparkling clean even before she completed the job and I would not hesitate to use Great Green again.

2022-05-11My experiences with Great Green Cleaning are always superb. They arrive on time, and with all necessary cleaning tools. They get straight to work and almost always finish ahead of schedule while maintaining an excellent level of care and detail in their cleaning. I highly recommend them for all different kinds of cleaning needs. I have used them for everything from a standard apartment cleaning all the way to cleaning out a basement space with a good amount of built-up dirt and grime. Every single time its PERFECT!

2022-04-21Great green is not only quick to respond and always able to fit with my schedule, they’re also thorough and quick. They work quietly and leave everything the way they found it - but clean! My fridge and freezer is shiny and my beds don’t have a carpet of dust underneath anymore. Ive used them 3 times and will definitely use them again.

2022-06-10The cleaning is great, and the customer representative is very responsive and on top of things. I was moving, so I did not have any cleaning supplies, and for a very reasonable fee they brought everything necessary including vacuum, mop+bucket. I also liked how they use all green-friendly chemicals so there was no lingering odor of harsh bleach.

2022-04-25Update 4/25- The response from the owner is entirely untrue. I have records of pest control services finding no signs of spiders and beetles - if that were the case Id except his cleaner to call me and change the price or at least provide photos of the infestation. They continue to lie and try to scam new customers into their business but all they did was steal my money.I really never feel the need to write reviews, but I am so disgusted by this company that I felt like I had to take the time to warn other who might consider using them.I will preface by saying, I know they will likely respond to this and say that they did everything they could to try to fix it but that is not the problem, the problem is the lies they told me from the start about the level of cleanliness I would receive for over $100 an hour. They trick people into going with their services, only to end up charging an insane amount for a barely surface level clean. They are truly stealing from honest people and have the most horrible customer service ever.I reached out to great green cleaning for a deep clean and a clean out of my pantry and two cabinets. My first impression was awesome, they seemed thorough in asking what I would like cleaned and upfront about pricing. I was comfortable paying $100 since I thought I was going to get an amazing deep clean.My cleaner arrived and was perfectly friendly, I stayed out of my apartment for four hours which I was told by the cleaner it would likely take that long, I started traveling back to sit in my lobby and called them for an update. I was told she was on the last room and I could come up soon to inspect.Upon first look, it did look clean. I am already a clean person so it’s hard to tell just how much was missed until I started looking more and more. After she left I called the company and told them I was really disappointed, my cleaner didnt even vacuum, mop, use the supplies I left out or dust some basic spots. For $100 an hour I expected to be SPOTLESS.Was it my fault for not looking closer while she was still there? YES I wish I was through with my walkthrough and I wish I never provided a $75 tip so quickly. I was sick to my stomach to see how awful it really was after she left. The only solution offered was to have her come back and finish the job, which would cost me even more. At that point I did not trust them to be in my home and restart the clean would require me moving from my desk and around my apartment to watch her work, the whole thing would be awkward.I was very fair asking for at least an hour refund or my tip money back, they refused both. The only solution was to have the cleaner come back, or a free hour on my account when they have a two hour minimum anyways.It seriously pains me that I paid so much for something I could have done better in an hour, with actual cleaning products. On top of that, the original instructions were not even followed. This was the FARTHEST thing from a deep clean and I wish I never made the mistake of trusting them after reading some of the other bad reviews.I really feel like I have been stolen from. Please take the bad reviews seriously, these people are just out to rob you and trick you into paying more.

2021-10-21I contacted great green cleaning after a bathroom renovation. Our place is not terrible - weve lived here through the renovation and have cleaned ourselves throughout. We just wanted someone to do a deep clean to make sure we didnt miss anything and to get behind the furniture before we put our rugs back down. I had a terrible customer service experience when trying to get an estimate, so I didnt book. First, they will not speak to you via text or email. Then, when they speak to you on the phone they wont give you an estimate without you texting or emailing photos. The only reason they get you on the phone is to ask you how you found them which is of benefit to the business and not the customer. Then, theyre weirdly invasive with their questioning and ask who currently cleans the space. Answering that we clean the apartment ourselves is not a good enough answer. There are follow up questions: partner? roommate? Why does that matter? Super creepy. And then theres the price. I live in a typical 1 bed, 1 bath 700 sq. ft apartment in midtown east. At $100/hour with an estimated time of 15-20 hours (low range) and 40-45 hours (high range)... the estimate is between $1,500.00 - $4,500.00!! This is literally insane.

2021-03-29I highly recommend Great Green Cleaning. We hired them to do a deep clean of our apartment after 4 years of constant traffic with two adults, two kids, and a dog. We have our place cleaned regularly, but wanted a team to get the really hard to get spots (walls, baseboards, cabinets, etc). Daniel was super patient and thorough in getting an estimate pulled together. He walked me through their COVID protocols and their commitment to their long-term staff. The cleaning crew did a thorough job in less than the time estimated. Because they missed a few spots, Daniel sent another cleaner to finish the list of remaining items, in under the total estimated time, and refunded us the extra time. We would definitely use Great Green Cleaning again!

2018-07-22Needed a full clean prior to moving into my new apartment in Brooklyn. My 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath duplex was just filthy prior to moving in - dust and dead bugs everywhere from a long vacancy. It was too much work to do alone and would have taken days to clean properly. Great Green Cleaning gave me a very reasonable estimate of time and price - and I actually ended up paying a little less than I expected to because the cleaner worked so efficiently. The office staff were incredibly helpful and very accessible (always answered my calls and responded promptly to my emails). The cleaner, Diane, was lovely and incredibly efficient. She did a wonderful job. The apartment looked beautiful and even smelled clean! I am so relieved Great Green Cleaning came to clean my apartment prior to moving in. I will definitely be using them in the future...

2019-04-19Great Green Cleaning came to my rescue after I spilled nail polish all over my bathroom earlier this year. It was an overwhelming mess that got in between the floor tiles, on my bathtub and all over my cabinet, and I didnt know where to even start. Im so thankful I found Great Green Cleaning - they were able to come in 24 hours and spent two hours diligently working to get it off of every surface. When we discovered that the nail polish remover would chip the paint on my cabinet, my specialist was considerate enough to ask me if I wanted to continue knowing this, which I appreciated. Overall, I was really impressed with Great Green Cleanings work ethic, responsiveness and effectiveness, and I definitely plan to use them again for my cleaning needs!

2019-12-16I cant say enough positive things about this company! I was in last-minute need of a post-construction cleaning for a loft space and Great Green was beyond accommodating! All my interactions with their staff were not only efficient and professional, but also enjoyable...not to mention the actual cleaning job was spotless.A rare and welcomed customer service experience from start to finish.
