I ordered Jerk chicken mac and cheese with candied yams. The jerk chicken was raw inside😳. The other order was Stewed chicken, Red rice and cabbage. The rice was under cooked and hard. The sides was pretty good but the rest😔. I went out of my way to patronize a black business and was very disappointed😒😔. Please do better 😑
Stopped by Friday before 6pm for takeout. No waiting (first sign). Fried chicken, mac/cheese and collard greens. Chicken was horrible! Re fried wings sections (just like frozen from Costco). Mac and cheese and collard greens tasted off- more sweet than savory. Too many good options in Harlem. No need to dine here!
Great food and welcoming atmosphere, I’ve been quite a few times and you ALWAYS smell the great aromas upon entry. My favorites are the Jerk Chicken (best in the city), the Mac and cheese (extra cheesy) and the yams (taste fresh and not overly sweet). Excellent price for the amount of food you get as well. I’ll definitely be back!

Pros: Good Portion and Fast deliveryCons: the oxtails, rice and peas, and Mac and cheese was tasteless. The oxtails lack seasoning. No spice whatsoever. The Mac and cheese was tasteless too. Im literally typing this after eating the food. I am so disappointed. The people who was raving about this in the reviews either dont know good taste quality of food, theyre used to reasonless Caribbean food or probably had a good batch. But I will not be ordering from here EVER Again. Sad. This is the 3rd Caribbean spot I tried in NYC and the disrespect.
Greedy restaurant/owner. Online pickup order, the restaurant automatically charge you 15% tip without advance notice or choice. Owner is very rude and refuse to cancel the order. Very bad business, stay away!
Food was really good. I have gotten the Catfish with Mac & cheese and cabbage. Everything was hot and seasoned well. Cant wait to return.
Ordered delivery from this place the other day, will DEF be ordering again. Great portions for the price, my only thing is that I wish there was some kind of sauce or gravy for the rice (Ill just ask for some next time) but other than that it was great. I live right by Sisters on 124th & Mad, and while I loveeeee Sisters this place is def going to creep as a close favorite because of price to portion.The Mac was actually baked, the yams bomb, the chicken was cooked very well and not dry (yall some of these places be cooking their chicken to death). Cant say enough good stuff about this place, hope theyre around for a long time.
I had the oxtail, mac and cheese, and yams.Excellent! I recommend all three. I tried to still eat more even though I was clearly full and had to force myself to stop and put the food up for later.
I was charged $9 for a medium curry chicken. Portion was very small. Only 3 very small pieces of chicken was not enough. Lunch special is $6 you get the same amount of food. The food was good though. I wont be going back here.

This was by far the worst meal I have ever ate in my entire life. To be frank they should not ever offer a meal that they don’t physically have it’s no excuse as to why they run out of food and yet are open aren’t you supposed to be selling meals all day long , during business hours. I originally ordered Oxtails yet was told at 6:40 that oxtails were sold out yet I was offered Catfish which was Digusting my food came 1 hour and 30 mins later which was cold and the rice was like boxed rice from uncle bens like if you are going to sell food make it good don’t have people waiting and then offer no solution. I WILL NEVER I REPEAT NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER ORDER FROM HERE I WAS Persuaded by the false reviews of this establishment. I am totally shocked and taken back by what I just attempted to eat that I threw away the whole meal thanks for nothing greedy pot you left me Hungry and annoyed. Another Harlem establishment that I will not be patronizing.
Just visited Harlam for the first time and this was the best Jerk Chicken, Fried Catfish and Collard Greens I’ve ever eaten( not a big fan of greens). Good man and his wife are providing a great Caribbean experience for all customers!
Decent place to pickup some island food. A little pricey but the food is worth it (I had the oxtails rice and peas). Restaurant is clean. staff is courteous.

2021-12-11So damn good! Had the collard greens, Mac & cheese and the fried chicken. Everything was so very good. Worth the wait. Theyre not letting g guests dine in though so we walked to a bench outside Central Park to eat and the food was still hot.

2018-12-01Lots of options around, but this is a good quick lunch spot with good food and a bit of seating. The changing menu might be confusing, but guy working there said it’s still mostly about feeling out demand. Lunch special was $6 for a select main (ask them what it is), a specific side and one additional side of your choice vs the usual $9.

2021-10-12I need my people to get their business sense together.I purchased $25 worth of food, from what they had available, not whats on the menu.And I get one napkin in a fork and spoon packet. This thin single piece of paper that tears as soon as you wipe your hands, isnt enough to sustain, curry chicken, oxtails, yams, mac and cheese...When I request extra napkins to go with this chicken curry, mac and cheese and yams. I got another fork and spoon set.Please be consistent with the food. And it would actually be nice to come in there just once for bar be cue and you actually have some. Also, do you have consistent days of the week that youre open? Every time I call theres no answer and no recorded message to let me know when youre open. That would be a nice added touch. The food that Ive had was good I would just like to have something different. God bless you.

2021-04-26This was my first time visiting I had collard greens, mac & cheese I didnt like it. My sister had the oxtails and cabbage she said that was pretty good. Shrimps are huge you get 6 theyre all right. 3 course dinner $17.00

2021-10-01Good food but really bad service as of late. I previously rated this place 5 stars but after today I dont plan to eat there ever again. They are rude and unapologetic about it. Cashier just wanted to be unnecessarily difficult and it cost me almost 1.5 hours of needing to drive back and forth several times to correct an order. Never did give me the correct order after all that (probably just to be spiteful). Make sure whatever you order you explicitly ask for everything: cooked edible food, a plate to eat on, a fork, a knife, bag to carry the food in. Write it out. Draw pictures. Use sock puppets if you have to. Really disappointing because I used to really love this place.
