Grew up in plainedge. Was walking to shoprite and stumbled across this gem. Had to stop in and knew I was getting bacon ranch fries the second I saw it on the menu. Could not be more thrilled to see a 100% plant based menu at this location. I’ll be back to try the rest of the menu every time I’m in plainedge to see family. Welcome to town.
Such good healthy food ! And it is run by the most beautiful accommodating people. Their kind attitude toward our annoying modifications alone is such a breath of fresh air.As a new mom with unexpected and sometimes debilitating health issues, our family has depended on this place for meals often and they never disappoint.
The concept is good but the execution is not. My food was cold French fries were almost inedible except for the toppings and sauce but the fries were cold and dry so bad combo … cauliflower was cold .. when I was asked how the food was I told them it was cold and the answer was sorry to hear that … not oh let me get u a hot plate … it should have been good because the toppings were nice … its too bad because I wanted the place to be good
Absolutely delucious! My son had the Grilled Mac and Cheese and he totally loved it. I had the Vietnamese Taco, which was great, with a side of the Roasted Korean Cauliflower, which was SPICY, but delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Southwest Bowl. There was more than enough food. There is limited seating indoors, but, plenty of seating outdoors, where we enjoyed our lunch. We will definitely come again and leave room, next time, for some sweets.
I heard a lot of good things about this place, so I decided to try it and go all out. I ordered the chili cheese fries, the Vietnamese fries, the loaded nachos, the quesadilla, and the grilled cheese. The food was very fresh, and clearly made in house with real ingredients. However there were downsides. Most of this food is supposed to be considered comfort food. But its too healthy to be called this- it doesnt satisfy that craving. I think thy could do better with the fries. There isnt enough flavor and they come out pretty soggy to begin with. The quesadillas are also incredibly small- theyre on the kids menu yes, but they only serve two small tortilla rounds in one order. I just think they could do better overall with the options. They only have non dairy creamer, not nondairy milk for the coffee. Aside from that, the service is exceptional and they definitely aim to please. The sauces are also delicious and the desserts are a must try!
Found out about this wonderful place a week ago, and have gone twice already! The food is delicious, clean, and flavorful! We are so happy to have a go to place for vegan and gluten free eating that actually uses fresh and clean, homemade ingredients! Thank you guys so much for opening and making such delicious and amazing food!
I’m so thrilled and blessed to be so close to this awesome spot!! Long time vegetarian always looking for variety! So far I’ve tried the Mac n cheese/grilled cheese with tempeh bacon, Korean yum yum fries, and the breakfast nachos and lemon blueberry pancakes from the brunch menu, the nachos and mac are tied for favorites!!! You can really tell everything was made with such love and care. I look forward to seeing what else is in store for yall:) keep up the great work!
After waiting too long at the Peach & Pine food truck for Vegaween, I ended up at Green Street. Owner was so kind. They were closing up and he still served us and made us a drink. The brunch items were both delicious and creative - apple cinnamon empanadas and bacon, egg and cheese donuts. Love their work ethic and mission. Will absolutely be back.
My husband & I finally got to do a lunch date here, we drove out there yesterday when it said it was open… and they were not. So we went back today, we’re weren’t too happy with the food. The pros: the establishment is nice looking, the variety is decent (the pictures I saw online were not offered), and the food is done nicely. Cons: we were disappointed with the tastes of a lot of items. I got 3 tacos, the 3 that were “not spicy” and one was very spicy which does not sit well with me (can’t do spice) My husband almost couldn’t finish his bowl because the sauce was not good. He also got fries which were undercooked & very disappointing. Hate to be the first not so good review, but we’re being honest and did even buy extra items for our child to bring home to try. We eat at many vegan places around the island, this was not the best.
The energy right when you walk into Green Street Eatery is literally infectious. The entire team is extremely personable, helpful + always so sweet. The chili is dare I say…life changing? Coming from someone who can just swim in it at this point (yes, it’s that delish) if you haven’t tried it yet, highly recommend with their mac + cheese (add their sriracha mayo or buffalo sauce for a kick!). This along with their iconic brussel sprouts and the outstandingly fresh baked goods are one of many reasons it never disappoints!
Overall esthetic expirience of the dishes is great....... Exceptional taste. Ive grabbed rainbow bowl, Seul bowl and plantain tacos. Every single one was very tasty, with his own character. Every single one surprised me in a very good way. Im really happy to have Green Street Eatery in the neighborhood. Well done and good luck !!!!!
One of my clients gave me a cupcake from this place so I decided to try their food since Im vegan. I went to this place on June 9th at 5:34pm. The ambiance of the place is very nice. I ordered 3 tacos and waited a long time for it. After 20 mins I asked update about the tacos and a male staff member said they are making them. During that time I noticed groups of 2-3 people ordering food after me and they received their food BEFORE ME! A female staff member told me there were orders in front of me and asked if I was told a wait time. I told her I was not informed that there was a wait time but despite all that it should not take over 25 minutes to make three vegan tacos. So the woman told me that another lady in the kitchen is in the process of making my tacos at that moment. By then I waited for about another 10 minutes and I sore other people still getting served before I did by then I had enough and I requested my money back. There was a woman who appeared to have either an English or Australian accent (she might be the manager) explain to me that the wait time was based on the food that was in the back and the food that was in the front whatever that meant. As Im waiting for her to give me the money back a customer walked in and told the staff that he did not order the tacos and was holding the play the three tacos. A female staff member with large knitted hat stated that she realize she gave the tacos to that customer where technically those were Mike tacos. That being said, that particular staff member did not check to see whos order that belong to in the first place which delayed in receiving my order further. By then I just wanted my money back and I was too discouraged to stay there a minute longer. The staff was friendly and they were apologetic and gave me the tacos (the food did not have enough flavor) to take home and I suggested to the manager that they have to reevaluate the point-of-sale ticket items as well as the speed of assembling the food together so we can go out in the timely matter. Theres not too many vegan restaurants on Long Island so I was very motivated to trying this place only to receive A 45 minute delay on a simple meal followed by multiple excuses. And the most confusing part of it all was that there were about five staff members working behind the counter and in the kitchen so I still cannot understand why there was a delay in getting the order. The manager was shock when I showed her the time stamp on my receipt and compared to current time when I request the refund. Not looking good for the business and I do not have interest to come back.
Came here for brunch for the first time yesterday and was super excited about the menu options. Ordered the burrito special-super fresh and filling- and the chunky monkey smoothie. I like that everything is made to order and that you can take out ingredients if you don’t like them-peppers don’t sit well with me so I was able to take them out of my burrito. They also had live music going on which was refreshing. I will definitely be back to try out some of their other menu options!

2022-03-05Discovered this place by doing a Google search looking for vegan spots in the area and decided to try it out. Love the ambiance, its very welcoming and the stuff was super friendly and helpful, I heard them assisting someone with a food allergy. The soup was awesome and one I hadnt seen veganized before (new England clam chowder w/hearts of palm and potato). Mac n cheese was delicious and i love that the cashew cheese sauce is house made. It seems like most, if not all, of the sauces, cheeses, patties etc are all house made. The sweets in the fridge are also delicious. I had the peanut butter pie jar, so good. Like a peanut butter mousse with hardened chocolate on top. So velvety and fresh. The owner/chef came out and checked on the customers asked how the food was and made sure everyone was happy. Will definitely be back, the brunch looks AMAZING and i have to try it.

2022-01-21Awesome place! It’s like hidden vegan gem in Long Island. Tried Vietnamese fires - mix of three different sauces and seasoning turns out to be combination. Tacos are creative and you can mix and match the tacos when ordering more than 1. Chocolate dessert is nice personally never tried chocolate dessert with sea salt but actually liked it. Small and cozy place. Mix of traditional seating and cafe inspired seating. You get laidback feeling with seating space. Team is wonderful.

2021-12-22Hands down the most phenomenal food spot I have been to. Not only because the food taste so rich and amazing (especially since its gluten free!) but the team they have at Green Street are the most kindest, caring, down to earth people ever. Matt & Caroline harvest good food and people!I have tried a little bit of everything on their menu and my favorites are the Seoul Bowl/Yum yum tacos, Mac n Cheese, Oatmeal Whookie pie, ALL doughnuts and on Brunch Sundays their French toast, waffle bowl, pancakes along with their chia latte & soft serves are a MUST TRY.Thank you Green Street for great food, company and showing love for pups! :)

2022-01-28First time here. Friendly helpful team. Fast service. Tried jackfruit , plantain and Vietnamese tacos. Super fresh and flavorful. Very messy. Needed a pile of napkins. Also had Vietnamese fries that were also tasty however they were kinda chewy which was odd. I did t mind. I highly recommend and would come back again.

Will definitely be back for the award winning Chilli, brunch, and those yum yum tacos. We have two specials (new England clam chowder and the Hawaii 5-0 sandwich) as well as the Mac n cheese and a pb desert thing. All excellentDidnt take pics except for halfway done with a cup of the chowder. Too good to stop eating to snap pics

2021-10-06So delicious! I got three tocos. Two Vietnamese, and one plantain. Both were very tasty. However, I preferred the Vietnamese ones because they had a nice crunch with the sprouts. I also got the chunky monkey smoothie - SO creamy and very yummy!
