Green’s delivers fantastic customer service! I called them in a bind because a refrigerator at one of my apartments died 2 days before I had a new tenant moving in. Maddie was able to get a new one delivered the very next day! Mr. Green himself delivered it along with another gentleman. They were right on time and so nice. They delivered and set up the new one and hauled away the old one- (on the third floor!)- quickly and efficiently. I worked at one of their big box retail competitors for 16 years, but I still chose Green’s because their service is unmatched!
I really enjoy doing business with Greens. I’ve gone in three times in a crunch looking for appliances quickly. They always know exactly what is in stock, have never attempted to upsell me, and have had it delivered within a day. They are super professional and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend them.
Our dishwasher had sprung a rather large leak and emptied into our basement. I contacted Greens (who were amazing during the purchasing process a few years ago) and unfortunately it was over the warranty. They helped me get a repair person and it turned out it couldnt be repaired. Now most places would have said sorry and moved on. Maddy at Greens was nothing short of amazing. She contacted GE herself and not only did all the leg work to get a replacement at a super reduced price, she also organized the install as well (who was knowledgeable, efficient, and personable). We first went to Greens because it was local and had a good reputation and deals. Weve bought over 4 large appliances over the last few years from them because of the amazing service. Great customer service, delivery of GE fridge went smoothly. Originally ordered appliances through Home Depot and it was a nightmare. We ended up never getting our fridge, so we went to Greens instead. They had what we needed in stock, delivered within a week, cleaned up after themselves and were very pleasant to deal with it. Before leaving they even cleaned the front of the fridge to remove any fingerprints or sticker residue. Would definitely buy from them again and recommend to other people. Goes to show its always better to shop at local, family owned businesses than big box stores.

I poked my head in after my oven died last winter and discovered that replacement parts for it had been discontinued. Their gas oven selection looked nice, but when I mentioned to the salesman that I saw a five-burner GE stove that really caught my eye, he went to the back to check. They didnt have any of those in stock, but he ordered one from the factory and we arranged a time for delivery. The installers put in the new oven quickly, hauled away the old one, and even installed a new gas shut-off valve right behind the stove. Very pleased with the whole experience! This was the first major appliance to fail in the 1 1/2 years Ive been at my current house, but I will be back again when I need something else replaced
My experience:When looking for a washing machine with an agitator we settled on the GE 4.2 Cu. Ft. Top Load Washer. Model:GTW335ASNWW based on reviews. Yes, the high tech look is very cool, but I dont need to put my dirty laundry on a pedestal. To have that look we would have to spend thousands and then leave the door open so the machine doesnt mold out. Say what? With many choices on where to purchase, we decided a local business was the best option as we have learned over time that merchants based in the community provide the best service. I also know from past experience with Greens Appliances that if I have any kind of problem they are ready to discuss it and come up with a mutually agreeable solution. We purchased the washing machine yesterday and today in less than 24 hours it is already installed and the third load of clothes is just ending its cycle. My husbands jeans from a very messy plumbing job came out great. Maybe it is partly because theres plenty of room for the clothes to move around. The tub is huge! Greens doesnt carry every make and model on the market, just the reliable ones that perform. That is fine with us. Keeps things simple. Price $579
We recently purchased a stand-up freezer from Greens. We ordered the applicance online after seeing how competitive their prices were. We received a prompt call after placing our order to set-up delivery. Their customer service was polite and professional. The next day, Al delivered the freezer on time and took the time to discuss the features of the appliance and give us some pointers. We were extremely pleased with their customer service and the price we paid. Next time we need a home appliance our first stop will definitely be Greens.
They were wonderful. My washer a dryer broke .I went there a little after 10 and purchased a washer and dryer. They delivered it around 11:15 and installed it. Wonderful job. Highly recommend them.
I love Greens! Several years ago, I bought my refrigerator there. And this week, I got a brand new GE washer and dryer from them! Maddy is the nicest salesperson! Very knowledgeable about the products she sells and not pushy at all. Charles and Big Mike delivered and installed my new machines. Both of them were professional, polite and went right to work! They even did a test run to make sure the new machines were in top working order! And they took away my old machines for me! Thanks, Greens!!
My wife and I just had a great experience purchasing a washer from Greens Appliance. Their website was easy, price was great and delivery service was outstanding. When I called with a question, I was talking to the owners daughter. When the delivery truck backed into my driveway, promptly at the beginning of the two hour delivery window, the owner was one of the delivery people. It was a very tricky removal and installation due to our small laundry space but Mr Green and his assistant did a fantastic job. I was also taken thru the new machine and Im confident that they will stand by their product way better than any big box store would. Actually Im also sure that neither Home Depot nor Lowes would have gotten thru the installation let alone the on time delivery. For appliances,we will never go anyplace else but Greens.
We have used Greens since 2000 for all of our appliance needs and upgrades. I recently needed a new washer and dryer and I was able to do it over the phone from start to finish. Maybe not everyone does it that way, but finding time was not easy. I was able to look at my choices online and it was super easy and quick. The delivery guys were efficient and knowledgeable and double checked the balance of the machines and also the waterline to make sure all was dry. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Greens for many years, their prices are great and I love that it is a family business. Thank you all!
We purchased a living room set from Greens. I have to say the service was extraordinary. We have shopped at different places but at Green’s you get top notch personal service. Maddie helped up pick out the style of furniture. She made sure it fit our needs and we were comfortable in what we were purchasing. Maddie assisted with colors and with the layout of the room. Friendly, knowledgeable family run ......very helpful, no high pressure. Stopped in around noon to look at a dishwasher. They were able to deliver and install the same day by 4 pm. We have bought a lot of appliances in our 53 years of marriage but never in one place and NEVER has the personal interest and service been so refreshing! You have to try it to experience it but Greens actually will try to solve the problem and suggest home remedies. Example...Vaseline on a 7 year old freezer gasket before replacing the gasket to see if it helps rejuvenate it for a while. I believe a repair place would have replaced it. By the way...it worked!! We downsized our home and bought all new appliances and beds for our new home from Greens. We werent at all sorry and their pricing is very fair. Recently our lower basket in the dishwasher got rusty spots and they saved us a lot of money by helping us get a used one that was perfect! These are just a couple of the few things that they have helped us remedy but the bottom line....if they cant home remedy it or save you money in some way, its because the option doesnt exist. In which case, their repair men are terrific!! Try them out! You wont be sorry!!

Our refrigerator stopped working on Saturday. We went to several appliance stores. Either they didt have our size or could not deliver for 5 days. We went into Greens and were greeted immediately, we got a refrigerator and it was delivered on Monday . The delivery people were great.
My family has been doing business with Al Green for many years. Theyre a friendly family owned business. They always have whatever we need in stock, and ready that day. If ever theres an issue which is rare its resolved immediately. They have it all over the big box stores, where if theres an issue with an appliance its not their problem. Greens stands behind their products, which is nice to see.Ive recommended and will continue to recommend Greens for any appliance & furniture needs.
I am very happy with my electric stove .The salesperson was very helpful , unfortunately I do not not remember her name. My stove arrived on the date and time given. I really like and appreciated that I did not have to wait the entire day. We were given an hour delivery window timeThe delivery men (Mike and Marquese) were polite, courteous and very efficient.I would surely buy from Green s again.

We just purchased a mattress and box spring for my daughter. It was such a pleasure to go to a store and actually have a very informative conversation with the sales person on the products they carry. This is my second big purchase from greens appliance in the last 2 years. In 2016 we bought a flex steel furniture set from them and the staff spent countless hours with us helping layout the new furniture for my living room. You just cant find this type of customer service in the big box stores. The staff at Greens Appliance are very knowledgeable of the products they sell and always greet you with a smile. I recently ordered a new refrigerator at Home Depot. I had to wait 3 days for it to be delivered. When it finally came the guys who brought it took it out of the box and it had 2 or 3 dents on the doors. I wouldn’t accept it and they couldn’t get another one for 4-5 days. I couldn’t wait that long but one of the guys told me I could only get one that day at Greens in Colonie.So I got on the phone and spoke with Maddy. She said to come in and see her and find out if I could get one that day.when I got there she got me just the refrigerator I needed. Within about 1 1/2 hours Greens truck was out in front of my house. I didn’t realize that the guy delivering the fridge was Al Green and he was all by himself. He was one of the hardest working guys I have ever seen. He didn’t even want any help with even the smallest thing. He took apart the old fridge for me because it wouldn’t fit through the door to get it out . He set up the new one and he did alot of extra work. So if you’re ever in need of any new appliances the only place to go is Greens . Great products, Great service, and most importantly Great People !
Im a home owner in Albany and have done business with Greens Appliances several times. Most recently a new dishwasher and dryer, both were installed professionally and everyone at Greens is nice. I want to commend Greens for their great delivery and service. I kind of stumbled across the fact that they sold furniture, and upon going there, purchased a sofa from Madeline who was courteous, professional, and personable. Had the sofa delivered a couple of days later, and I want to thank Greens for their excellent service and delivery. They are now at the top of my list for future furniture or appliance purchases.

My washer died on Thursday night, called Greens at 10 am Friday, had a washer installed and washing by 12:30 Friday. The service was outstanding. The two fellows who installed the washer were professional and cheerful. Could not have had a better experience. Mike & Mike just delivered a refrigerator I bought yesterday. Those guys were incredible!!! They worked so hard getting it through a small space, lifting and carrying it over their heads!!! I own several rental units and have purchased most of my kitchen appliances from Greens. I have been consistently satisfied with the GE products, and -- more important -- I find the members of the Green family and their delivery personnel easy to work with and willing to go way beyond national chain store service with personal interaction and accommodation.
Maddy was incredibly helpful in getting my husband and I the perfect washer and dryer for our apartment! We did not want a stackable unit, but live on the second floor. Maddy recommended great side by side units that would not cause structural damage to our apartment nor create too much noise for our downstairs neighbor, but would still allow us to do all kinds of laundry - including our pet laundry! The gentlemen who delivered the units were polite, helpful, and even funny! They made friends with my dog and were very respectful of my space! I would absolutely recommend Greenes for your appliances. We got THE BEST prices on our washer and dryer and excellent customer service beginning to end!
Within the last year we’ve purchased a mattress and a pullout sofa from Green’s. When you start working with the employees, you quickly learn this is a true family-run business. We’ve loved working with them to select items for our home. We also ultimately chose to purchase from Green’s because they offer high quality, made in America furniture. We’ve had our Flexsteel sofa for a few days now and already can tell by the look and feel of materials used that we’ll have this piece in our family for a long time to come. The pullout mechanism on the sofa bed is also incredibly easy to take out and put away which was important for us. The fabric selection was immense and it probably took us longer to select our fabrics then to choose which sofa we were going to get. Thanks for all the help Maddy! We love our new sofa!
I needed a dryer and was able to get it delivered within two hours! They have exceptional customer service from management to delvery drivers! Their prices were way below what i wanted to pay and made my holiday season alot less stressful then it could have been. This is the second item that I have purchased from Greens. The first was a recliner that I purchased several years ago and recently a sofa. Maddy was most helpful in helping me select the sofa. I wanted a tight back sofa and a sold feeling when I was seated. She was able to point me to the item that I purchased. It was delivered today and so far I am very pleased with it.

Just had a refrigerator delivered from Greens, the delivery guys were very nice and cordial. The refrigerator that was delivered and installed was NOT the one that I looked at and paid in full for at the store. The one at the store was a 20+ cu ft. I received an 18 cu ft. I feel there may have been a switch made at the register. In any case I have bought my appliances from Greens for over 30 years and when I spoke to Al Green about it he was extremely rude, condescending, and just downright not nice. I always made it a point to buy from them but this will be the last appliance I will EVER buy from them.
Last night, our 20 year old above the stove microwave died. My wife called your store, spoke to Maddie who said that she could have it installed today. By 10:30AM the micro was delivered, installed and the old one removed by two very professional and helpful technicians. Great job, Greens! Proud to be a customer!

Madeline was awesome with helping us decide the perfect colors for the upholstery and pillows(I had quite an eye on one particular pattern on the pillow)...It was delivered within 6 weeks and the customer service between Madeline and Al was amazing!!! Weve been through a lot including a tree falling on our house. We were able to finally replace our broken microwave, but due to Covid all the professional people who do this job wont go into peoples homes. I do understand this and Im not knocking them for that. What my problem is, is with the owner of this place. He showed up being gruff and unprofessional. He didnt even want to try. Thought we had an unusual set up, which we dont, its standard. They were the ones who put this installation in to begin with. They even had done other replacement work for us in the past. There is no reason for not doing this job! We are done with this company.

So I LOVE Green’s! I have a stove that is amazing! I was worried about clean up on porcelain surface vs stainless but Madeline assured me 100% I will love it and I do!! It is better and easier cleaning spills and I spend so much less time in the kitchen as a result! WINThen I went shopping for a new living room.. Bought a four year insurance plan on my GE refrigerator. After 3 years I used it for the first time to fix a light and broken drawer. The light was ok but he did fix the drawer. Greens called and said I needed to pay a $172.00 fee because they were charged with a consultation fee. Saying that since the light was ok he needed to charge a teaching or consultation fee. Can you even believe it. So they ended up canceling our insurance. I didnt argue about it because they must need it more than we do.

Im a landlord with 24 apartments and I buy virtually all of my appliances from Greens. While I am always on the lookout for a great deal, in many cases the best deal is buying from someone that has it in stock, that knows the product and can recommend the reliable brands, that will carefully deliver the appliance with their own employees and is there to back up the purchase if anything goes wrong. I usually get the great prices from Greens but I also place a lot of value on the other things. I have purchased appliances over the internet and had to return them, I have purchased from Lowes and HD and had their delivery guys damage the walls in the stairwell. Not worth it.
My first experience with Greens was when I was working at a Law firm that needed a dishwasher in a tiny kitchen in a basement of an old building in Albany. My boss wanted it ASAP. I called everywhere and because of the size, late in the week, and weather no one could help. I went to Greens and told them I just started this job and needed a win. Al drove the truck himself following me to my work. Then it started to snow, hard. This guy is 20 years older than me and put me to shame. Install was a PIA. Al refused a tip, shook my hand and left.I sent my grandmother there to get a new TV. I could have paid less at a big box or online but someone at the store talked to my parents and grandmother for hours and answered every stupid question they had.Since I have made other purchases, they all didnt go as smooth as the previous examples and yes, I have seen Al on a bad day. Maybe its an attitude I can appreciate being a father and former business owner myself.I wont go into the pros and cons of the Big Box stores.Greens will be gone someday. I will miss the good and the bad.
I couldn’t be more pleased with Green’s Appliances! Their service, delivery and product(recliner) are superior! My piece of junk motorized Lazyboy recliner has been replaced by a FLEXSTEEL motorized recliner which is all hardwood and metal - a far quieter and sturdier product.Thanks!Mike W.
I have a 20 inch stove from here and have had it less than a year. only 3 burners wOrk and the oven doesnt work unless those 3 burners are on and lit high. Even then the pilot light is still low and the oven only heats up to about 285. I called them and they were disgusting in their tone of voice yelling and screaming at my husband and i and i do not reccomend this nasty business . DISGUSTING PRODUCTS AND SERVICE UNPROFESSIONAL

Completely unprofessional, short tempered, and may I include, racially offensive. During the year of COVID, they didnt even reach out to their previous employees to tell them to come back to work. Some even got let go without any notice. I highly recommend you do NOT work here. Al is untrustworthy and rude for a Family owned business, I expected better.
Called this morning after our old freezer died yesterday. We spent all day yesterday driving around trying to find one in stock with no luck. Today we decided to not waste our fuel and to call around for one. My girlfriend talked to a gentleman first (I believe it was Al, the owner) and he said hed call back with prices as they were figuring them out for the sale. At this point I was already put off because he tried telling my girlfriend what size freezer we want. Excuse me, but I know what size freezer I want, but thanks for assuming you know the space in my basement or my size requirements. An hour later and no call, we decided to call back (were desperate at this point.) A lady answered the phone (assuming his daughter) this time. I explained we called earlier and we were waiting on a call back and that we were interested in seeing if they had any freezers in stock and what their prices were. I was told that they were busy and had to deal with the in-store customer first (even though I have been waiting for a call-back for an hour now.) I explained to the lady that was fine. She then told me to stop in and they would see what they could do. I explained my situation to her, that I had spent all day yesterday driving around with no luck and that I really needed to get some info over the phone, at which point I was rudely interrupted and sarcastically told that she was so sorry but Id have to come into the store to be helped, then she hung up. You think Im going to come to your store now? Over my dead body! Should have read these other reviews first, because the 1 star reviews are spot on. Id always rather spend my money locally, even if the prices are a bit higher. But Ill give my hard earned money to corporate box stores way before this rude family. Good luck lasting with todays competitive market.

I hadnt had a working oven, in over 3 years! After searching and calling a few places, Maddy, at Greens was SO helpful, that I drove over, ordered a WALL oven, and IT WAS INSTALLED the next DAY! Please let me begin by quickly explaining my background. I was an Customer Service Manager (for a national business) for 9 years in an extremely competitive marketplace. I understand that every interaction with a potential customer is vital and crucial to the viability of my business. I walked into Greens for the first time and spoke with Al who I believe is the owner. I asked him if he sold a specific dishwasher which he did. I used my smart phone to display the model # from home depots website to confirm I had the right one. Al immediately became sour and said how much are they selling it for? I took this question as he wanted to meet the price. I was astonished by his mood swing when he learned the price was $50 below his sale price. Al quickly said I pay to store the item in-house (which I fully understand) and he would not match Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy, and Sears price on the same item. I asked if I could view the item as i still may purchase it from him. His response was extremely rude and said, What have you learned about it online so I dont have to explain what you already know... wow Al, relax!! I also asked him a basic question about what kit do I need for it (i was going to buy it there to try to show some support for the small business), he responded that he would not discuss any of these details until after I purchased the dishwasher... He then walked away from me (walk away from a customer - major red flag).. I walked out and purchased the same item for a $50 savings. If you have to shop there, I suggest you ask for a different associate. Al seems very old school and not understanding of a modern competitive marketplace. He has Sears, Lowes, Best Buy and Home Deport all within 2 miles of him and if he is not willing to understand modern business... well Jack Welch said it right... “If the rate of change on the outside exceeds the rate of change on the inside, the end is near.”

It seems like everyone who has a chip on their shoulder, or only the irate cusomers post to these reviews. well I have done allot of business with greens, I have a few appartments, and all of the appliances are from greens, and all of the appliances in my house are from greens. honestly they are the nicest people you will ever meet, they try to accomidate my needs as best they can every time i go there, and if I ever have problems with the appliances hey take make it as easy as they can for me.
I went to greens to purchase a Hotpoint washer, dryer, and an air conditioner. The young lady who I delt with was kind and courtious and very helpful. I enquired about having them delivered to my home in Greenwich ny and out of no where AL Green jump up from no where and yelled across the showroom that there was no way he was going to deliver a Hotpoint to GReenwich. He began to rant about its too far and in this heat wave he wasnt going to do it. I Told him that he was unprofessional and out of line. I was embarrassed and could not believe this adult was acting in this manner. I left and went to lowes and made the same purchase of the same items for 200 Dollars less. I wouldnt go back to this place even if things were free. Al Green is an old crotchity blowhard who shouldnt be around people let alone being a business owner. I plan on telling everyone about my bad experience and will make sure he doesnt get any business. What an ass!!!!

Uncle Pete was looking to purchase a new washer and dryer. The women working the sales floor was nice and very imformative . Uncle Pete wanted to have the delivered , a old douche bag with salt and pepper hair started yelling from behind the counter I am not Delivering a Hotpoint washer and dryer to Greenwhich !!!!! ... Then Uncle Pete stated he naught from them a few times in the past ... The old douche bag starts yelling again I do t have the time to deliver your washer and dryer .... The the sales associate changes tones and says she does not want to sell uncle Pete a washer and dryer since he already is having a negative experience !!!! This Father and daughter need to slow down and check them selves there are plenty of other appliance stores out there and uncle Pete chose to shop at the mom and pop appliance store worst experience ever !!! stay away !!!

No high pressure sales. got exactly what i needed. the delivery guys, charles and kadeem, couldnt have been more professional. they were on time and did an amazing job hooking up my gas stove and refrigerator. my house was spotless when they left.
I went in needing to buy a a mattress and have never bought one before. The staff were so knowledgeable, friendly and most of all helpful. I am surprised by some of the negative reviews here concerning poor service or rudeness. My experience here was stellar and they bent over backwards in an attempt to satisfy me. In the end, I did not make a purchase because of the product, not the owner, who was gracious and understanding.
Extremely rude and indignant. I wish there was a zero stars. Refused to take back a Microwave that began to make a loud shrill noise, only 2 weeks after purchase. Told me, no refunds and that its posted on their counter, but customers are not told about that when making a purchase. BEWARE! Stick to the box stores, at least they are friendly and have sound refund policies.

2022-06-27We purchased a refrigerator from Greens and had it installed in our home two days later. Everything went smoothly from purchase to installation. After that we bought new living room furniture. Again, Madeline was great helping us to choose exactly what we wanted and finding the material for each piece. We highly recommend their products and service. The are all very pleasant to deal with and knowledgeable about what they sell.

The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable—and funny too. They continued to be great when I changed my mind on the stove and easily worked through switching my original choice with one that suited me better. Incredible!! 2022-02-03I have purchased a stove, microwave, and a washer and dryer from Greens. They were super friendly and knowledgeable both times I shopped there. The items were delivered in a timely manner and the owner does the installation. Its also a giant plus that their installers work with natural gas. Other appliance stores said we needed to hire someone to do the hook up. Not at Greens! They take the time to make sure everything is installed properly. That the appliances are balanced and no finger prints are left behind. They are efficient and a great company to buy from! I wont buy from anyone else!

2022-06-28From start to finish I am so pleased with Green’S Appliance. The salesperson was knowledgeable and helpful. The stove was delivered as promised with communication informing me of day and time. The delivery team were careful to protect my floors and put cardboard down. They went above and beyond installing the oven including cleaning the places that had stickers on it. Also they had to locate the gas shut off in the cellar because the shut off behind the old oven would not turn off. I am done with the lousy service with the box stores. I am team GREEN from now on. 2022-01-29Besides purchasing Flex Steel furniture and a garage refrigerator/freezer in the past from Greens Appliances, which I was extremely happy with the customer service, I just recently purchased a GE washing machine. I was so confident in Greens that I purchased the washer over the phone. Again, customer service was great from beginning to end. The washer was delivered when promised and delivered by the owner, Al Green, and his stellar assistant, Owen. They both took such care in the delivery. I even received a follow up phone call from Al Green, a few days later, asking if everything with the washer was okay and if I had any questions. You dont find that in todays world. Thank you Al and Madeline Green, Maddie and Owen. Its a pleasure doing business with such a fine establishment! Its a no brainer -- Greens Appliances is the place to go!

Mrs. Green was amazing with helping us find a refrigerator for an odd size space without us ever stepping foot in their store. When we went to the store to finalize our purchase, Maddie Green was incredibly helpful- I felt absolutely zero pressure and she definitely knows the family business. Mr. Green delivered our appliances (I liked them so much we added a new stove and microwave) the very NEXT DAY! The installation was flawless and Mr. Green and the gentleman with him were meticulous. We will absolutely be recommending Greens to our friends and family! It also felt incredibly satisfying to buy from a family owned business. 💚

2022-04-11Just purchased a GE dishwasher from Greens two weeks ago.....and yes, they have them in stock! Maddy briefly explained different fuctions of dishwasher and answered all of my questions. This dishwasher is very, very quiet and does a great job of cleaning dishes. Completely satisfied. We just ordered a French door refrigerator. We highly recommend Greens. Thanks Maddy!

2019-09-07Went by Green’s on my way to another store, needless to say I never got there. We had inherited a stove with the house we bought and have hated it every day for 7 years. We were looking around at stoves but hadn’t decided to really buy one. On a whim we stopped at Greens just to see.... well walked in to find beautiful furniture and appliances. Madeline was so knowledgeable and believed in her products we bought a GE 5 burner stove. It came so fast and the delivery from Mike so good we went back for that furniture!!! We made at least 6 trips trying to get everything right and the upholstery to match a very busy rug we have. Greens went BEYOND to get us our furniture and Mike &Mike even did a Saturday delivery and are THE SWEETEST!!! So gentle and considerate to move it right where I wanted it!!! Picking out more furniture soon!! We have bought furniture all over the capital region.... this place has THE BEST WARRANTY AND PEOPLE! We are customer for life.Thank you customer service still exists
