It’s been a little over a year now since having Greenspark install our ground mount system at our new home. Our home was designed with the idea of having a solar array. There have not been any issues with the system. It has performed perfectly. We have not had an electric bill at all for the home. Shawn and the rest of the Greenspark team were great to work with from beginning to end. There was a slight delay in the beginning with getting material but it was only a minor delay. They answered all of our questions in a timely fashion. The install team was very respectful of our property and kept the job site very neat. I have recommended them to other people who are going through the process of having a system installed.I am a highly satisfied customer (not an employee of the company) who recommends them to anyone who is interested in going solar.
Right from our first consultation with GreenSpark, we were very impressed with their knowledge, experience, and professionalism. Everything was explained well and the construction was done as expected despite challenging winter weather conditions. Kudos to the construction crew, all of whom were always considerate, courteous and very professional in their treatment of ourselves, our property, and even our pets! With their online monitoring app, we are able to watch in real time exactly how much power our solar panels are producing, right down to the performance of each individual panel. That production is already impressive -- even in early March! Cant wait to see what it looks like during the summer. We highly recommend going solar with GreenSpark!!
This is a review quite a long time in coming as Im not one to be hasty with reviews, at least until the service or product has proven to be properly functioning for a reasonable time frame. Our installation had been delayed through an equipment supply issue, one that could not be foreseen by GreenSpark. Ours was not one of the simpler installations related to the distance between the freestanding panels and our home. At any rate, the system if working perfectly. Any concerns we had during and after our panels were installed have been dealt with thoroughly and with professionalism. Thank you GreenSpark for restoring our faith in quality workmanship,
Had my solar panels installed summer / fall 2019. I have enjoyed all of the service I have received from Green Spark from the sales staff to the installation crew. Everyone was and has been super helpful and accommodating. Emails / texts and phone call are returned promptly and all my concerns and questions answered. I recommend them for your solar needs.I also enjoy the Solar Edge app so I can see the amount of energy I am producing!All in all, I would do it all again.
I had GreenSpark install two Tesla wall chargers. This involved putting in a subpanel since my existing main panel was full. They did a great job and the conduit looks fantastic. They also helped connect the charges to my wifi network. The best part - I now wake up to a full tank every morning!

Everyone at Green Spark was very kind, patient and professional. We really appreciate that this is a small local company with roots in the Rochester, NY area. The staff is very knowledgeable and took their time to make sure we understand each step of the installation process as well as the functionality of the system. The installation team was professional and non intrusive. Even after installation the level of customer service has continued to excel.
After signing a contract with Greenspark, they repeatedly lowered their agreements on what they could provide, culminating with an 8% reduction in energy production estimates at the eleventh hour. They have refused to fully refund my deposit, leaving me high and dry to the tune of $3500. Avoid this company at all costs!

From start to finish, the GreenSpark team did an excellent job helping us understand the considerations surrounding a solar power investment (past electric utilization, installation options, installation sizing, tax incentives and payment options), select an appropriate design, and work through the installation (including handling all interactions with NYSERDA, town inspections, etc.). Thank you to Shawn, Ernie, and the GreenSpark team for their partnership! I would highly recommend GreenSpark to anyone considering a future solar installation, the GreenSpark team definitely exceeded our expectations.
Greenspark Solar is Rochester’s best option for solar panels. Shawn was great to work with on the design and Ernie and James were great for the installation. The placement didn’t decrease the aesthetics of the house and left additional room for future expansion. My electric bill has already fallen substantially and having battery backup provides a sense of security in the event of a long or prolonged power outage. Couldn’t be happier!
GreenSpark Solar made the exciting opportunity to have solar electricity to my home a breeze. The process was simple, explained thoroughly along the way, and executed well. The panels they use look good on my roof. Also, when problems came up, they are quick to respond, and fixed the issues quickly. If I were to do this again, I would pick GreenSpark Solar again!
First of all, our ENTIRE experience with GreenSpark Solar was terrific. Solar Shawn Lessord, their Rep was knowledge, professional and took his time explaining the process and all of our questions and concerns. Shawn kept us updated on the entire process.The Solar panels arrived about a month ago. The installation crew were experienced polite and a great group of guys. They were there for two days and were very neat and tidy.Our energy provider, RG&E came out and replaced our electric meter. Shawn came back to explained how it works and set us up with the app so we can monitor our Solar savings.That said, we would like to thank Shawn, Ernie, the crew and the whole GreenSpark Solar team for making this a positive experience. We couldn’t be happier and look forward to our Solar savings for the rest of our time here.

A friend recommended GreenSpark after getting an installation last fall. Consistent with her experience these guys did it all with good humor and top quality work while I peeked over their shoulders. They arranged financing, inspections, the works. I’m watching my iPhone to see the KWh streaming off the panels anticipating a nice break on my electric bill and more cred in the sustainability course I teach. Im so pleased with GreenSpark. I was a Community Solar customer for years and Ive recently put panels on my roof. The switch between Community and Residential was seemless and they are really fun people to work with. Also, they are the best float to walk behind in a parade!

Held off on writing this review until we had few good solar days and now Im glad I did. It will be a while but I can now see how these will pay for themselves. In the meantime I can look down on those burning fossil fuels for their energy.As for the service and the install I have nothing but good things to say. They got the project in early and saved me a ton of money before the tax rebate went down. They were respectful and prompt and finished their install in the middle of a snow squeal!
Salesman for Greenspark was extremely knowledgable, clear, and explained things in an easy, understandable way. Throughout the process Greenspark and their employees maintained a highly professional manner from the salesman to the installers. The installers never leave a mess, pick their stuff up and know what theyre doing. I would highly recommend going with greenspark if you decide to go the solar route and want to have an enjoyable, easy, and professional process.
I couldnt be happier with GreenSpark. They made the entire process so easy by taking care of the details from getting permits to scheduling inspections and sending me a thorough explanation of the forms Ill need for the tax incentives. They answered every question I had along the way promptly. Im thrilled with our new solar panels.
I had solar panels installed in 2018 by GreenSpark (they were SunCommon originally, but changed their name halfway through the install process). Their electrical subcontractor put a lien on my house because GreenSpark had not paid them. GreenSpark came to a settlement with the subcontractor and paid them, and the lien was removed. I just think its ridiculous that the company allowed this to happen.Also, the installation was supposed to take place in May, but in reality was not completed until August, causing me to lose the highest producing months of the year.As a side note, at least two of their 5 star reviews are from their employees. I was going to leave 2 stars, but instead I reduced it to 1 star to compensate for fake reviews.
Our installation took longer than expected, but only due to the Rochester Weather. Made the process very Easy for my Husband and I from choosing a system, to financing and installation. We love watching the App to see all the energy our home is producing from the SUN.Thanks from the Leibecks

We had our system installed by Suncommon about six months ago, now they are Greenspark. Our system went down three weeks ago and now they are saying UPS says the parts were delivered, but no one knows what happened to them. Says the re-ordered parts should be here in another 7-10 days and then they can schedule to install. This will put it at over a month during the prime summer charging months. I believe their warranty/repair supervisor is in over his head. To be continued...it is now 8/27/18 they came to the house with the wrong part, laying blame, the company sent the wrong part. I am having a hard time believing them anymore, did they order the wrong part? was the wrong part shipped? Did they check the part in to see if it was the correct part? Oh and now the part can be shipped over night whereas both times before they had to be programmed first and 7-10days shipping. ... Well it is Sept 2nd and we are officially generating power again. Yeah! In Aug. it worked for one day.

Installation was easy and system works wonderfully. The crew were very friendly and professional. All of the tax documents were prepared for me and explained well.

2022-06-13I would absolutely recommend GreenSpark for you solar installation because: professional and friendly sales team, prompt communications during and after the installation, great customer service, access to monitoring software, great looking solar installation, and it is a local company. We chose to install the panels on our barn instead of our house and that process worked flawlessly. Our panels are producing enough electricity to power our home and my electric car. And we are just really proud to be doing what we can for global warming. Go for it!!

2022-07-03First, we didn’t take the decision to go with solar lightly. We did a lot of research into both solar and wind technology. After deciding to go with solar, we began the research process all over again, except this time it was for the company we would ultimately use to install our system. We met with seven companies, and GreenSpark stood out from the pack in every way, beginning with our salesperson, “Solar Shawn.” Shawn was excellent right from the start; he knew his product through and through, answering every question we had and many we hadnt even considered. However, Shawn didn’t stop after the sale; he remained in contact with us throughout every step of the process. I’ve called him on a few occasions over the past five years, and he never once made me feel like I was bothering him. In one particular instance, I didn’t understand how to use the online monitoring system properly, and this was two years after the project was complete. I called Shawn, and he came out to my house that afternoon, sat with me in front of my computer, and explained the entire process. I couldnt have been happier; it’s the best customer service I’ve ever had. I should also mention what a fantastic job the installers did from start to finish. They were polite and professional and left my place cleaner than before they came, lol. I’ve dealt with several people from the company, Buster, Jonathan, Shawn, the installers, etc., and every one of them believed in their product, believed in what they were doing, and most important, being a local company, they cared about the community which I found to be quite impressive. If you are considering installing a solar system on your home or business, I highly highly recommend GreenSpark. I ran my own business for 18 years, my wife still runs her business after 27 years, so we know the importance of customer service in relation to the success of a business, and GreenSpark obviously knows the same. Having lived in this area for most of my life, I can honestly say that I have never worked with a company that was as dedicated to the customer and their product as much as GreenSpark.

2021-09-29I would recommend GreenSpark to anyone looking to install solar on their home. They were clear, professional, and easy to work with, from the initial contact to the installation. We had one issue when the panels were first turned on, and they responded immediately, resolving the issue without cost to us. We got quotes from a few vendors; GreenSpark wasnt the least expensive, but it was clear that some of the people selling solar panels didnt have the expertise, and just wanted contracts that they would pass off. I was pleased to work with a company that handled the installation from beginning to end.

2022-06-13We had our solar system installed by GreenSpark in October 2019 so this is the third year of solar generation. Greenspark handled all of the regulations with NYSERDA the town and RG&E which was very nice and painless. They were great to deal with and we were impressed with their quality of work on the work on the installation. The system has worked flawlessly over the last 2.5 years generating enough power for the house, charging the electric car and creating enough credit with RG&E so we only have to pay for electricity 2.5 months of the year over the winter.We will probably look to increase the number of cells on the roof to get closer to cover our annual electric usage.

2022-06-20Without a doubt, this is the best solar company in Rochester. They worked with me for two years to get our Home Owners Association to approve it (one of the first in Monroe County) and the performance has exceeded their projections. Furthermore, I drive a Prius hybrid, so I almost never have to go to the gas stations. Thanks.

Had a few minor issues over the past 7 years, and in every case they directly worked with me and even came out to inspect things as needed. 2021-02-01I was very pleased by the work GreenSpark performed on my home solar system. Everyone from the sales team to the installers were happy to help with all of the questions I had. The install looks great, and the customer service was fantastic. They are even great carpenters! They had to do a repair on my ceiling, and it honestly looks way better than it did before. I cant recommend them enough.
