Greenwood Park in other cities:
All the staff should learn ADA laws pertaining to serivce animals what saw happen there was beyond unacceptable.First they allowed a little dog that was barking then when this individual came with service doggreat Daen not only didnt barking was one the most well behaved dogs I seen then they tryed spin the story to cops that they are allowing the dog not the owner as private business they are allowed
We had the loaded nachos, white pizza, margarita pizza and fries. The loaded nachos were good everything else was ok. The service was slow. They did ok when it came to social distancing. They were stern about the tables being 6 feet apart but didn’t notice children running around to other tables. I would try it again. Hopefully it would be a better turn out.
My favorite after work place. Music, games, food and drinks. Food prices are sometimes not worth it. My blue cheese fries $8. Dont get it get the regular fries. The lamb burger was gooood. But those chicken strips....NO. and not a fan of the honey mustard sauce. I need to stick with the wings and fries. Music always on point. They have space to dance and move with games and fun.
The place is pretty cool. They are social distancing with signs and hand sanitizer before you walk in. People sit outside and it is a large open space. They do have outdoor heaters. Now the beer selection is pretty good I enjoyed my IPA and cider beer. I did not really eat much food outside an order of onion rings. It was tasty. This is cool place until it starts to snow or if it is blow 40.
Beer Garden and Kitchen, do I need to say anything else. The odd thing I was in the area for a funeral but one of the guys said lets get something to each afterwards. The wings and beer was good I ate the sriracha and honey wings (Im a bad speller). So good and I recommend. The 22 oz beers so you will not have to get up for another drink until your don with your food. Setup is cool indoor and outdoor door seating and bars. Smoking section. Check it out.
Its a wide open place, lots of space, great for groups. There are a bunch of picnia tables with umbrellas which is great for groups. Big bar with a wide selection of beers on tap. You can get food separately. Good amount of bathrooms that at the moment look well kept. Great place to drink in the sun when its out. Relatively easy to get to if youre down with taking the bus or walking. Staff is attentive and professional.
The bar is great! Large outdoor area to meet up with friends and enjoy a bite and a sip . The service was a mix of really dedicated hardworking people people and those who appeared to be more interested in socializing with friends than earning their pay. The overall experience was good but would encourage management to more training for servers.
Impressive space and menu. Prices seem more suited for Manhattan though. It hit my wallet pretty hard and cleaned out all my cash since it is cash only. I ordered 2 KCBC IPAs (great beer had before for less) for my girlfriend and I. They do have a higher abv and are not full pours, $18. I saw a wall menu for food and not the full paper menu, Spicy Shrimp Salad, $16. I was hungry enough for the price and ordered it but when it came out it was loaded with bacon which I can not eat. A treat for most I know. I tried to bring it back and was met with a server that was more upset that I did not read the paper menu than anything else. There was no effort to make it good even given my error of not reading the whole menu and referencing the wall menu. Bacon does not equal spicy.
Was there for lunch after service in the cemetery nearby. Group of about 35 people. Wait staff were nice, responsive, and accommodating. Food was good but very slow. Appetizers of pigs in blankets, tomato and mozzarella, and guacamole with corn chips. Was ready when we got there. Waited a little while for pizza (margarita, and pepperoni). But main course of hamburger sliders, French fries, tacos, macaroni and cheese, and Caesars salad, although good, took too long. The fruit for dessert was fresh and delicious. The covered outdoor setting was surrounded (and protected) by a wall of wooden pallets. It looked unusual, but did a good job of minimizing the noise from the street.
Might have been the night, but the food I ordered wasnt the best. Had some mac n cheese, which while cheesy and tasty, had the consistency of soup, not really the mouth feel I expect frommac n cheese. Also had a sausage pizza which was disappointing. It was edible, but the spicy Italian sausage didnt seem to be, or there wasnt enough of it to tell, it also had a broccoli rabe on it which dominated the flavor profile by being bitter. It was saved, barely, by the cheese, I guess; it was some of the saddest pizza Ive ever had. I guess I should have tried tried the pepperoni. The beer was good, at least
Greenwood Park has been a savior during COVID and before! Its the perfect spot for a big group for parties and gatherings. The food is good, the drink selection is good, the service is awesome. I want to only have any large gatherings there until the end of time. Its close enough to Prospect Park and an all-around great spot for outdoor gatherings. Love you, GP!
Great outdoor space- happy to see that they are actually distancing their seating and following protocol-makes me feel more inclined to return! The drinks are tasty-uncomplicated and fun. Frozen drinks are legitimately awesome ( perfect consistency and flavorful till the last drop-so many places get it wrong) and their wings are crispy, generous portions. Hospitality is on point too- had a lil charge discrepancy and the staff and manager (Amelia??) were super friendly and helpful. Go hang out on their patio and get your drink on, you wont regret it!
Amazing experience all around, from the host to the server down to the food. If you’re getting a drink get a dark and stormy! Hands down amazing. The host made sure to give me the menu and explain everything and made great recommendations. Very professional and welcoming. Maddie got us sat quick, and even checked up on us frequently. For a night out this is the place you want to be! 5 stars !!
Food and service is great. I came here because I saw a post about this place on Instagram. I always passed by and never gave it a second thought based on the outside appearance. Inside and out is very spacious. The food menu seems a bit limited, but prices are good. I got the Grilled Lamb Burger and it was flavorful and juicy. The fries are perfectly salted and tasty. I would definitely come here again.Edit: They are no longer cash only. They take all credit cards. I came back and did the outdoor seating due to the pandemic. This place does a great job with maintaining cleanliness and social distancing. Food and drinks are great!
Beautiful outdoor space, great for groups and families. The plants and gardening they do here is like something out of the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. It’s really nice.Unfortunately in our experience they pay more attention to their plants than customers. We were sat after the hostess figured out the seating situation (6 of 50+ tables were occupied.) we then waited 20min. Nothing. Asked several times for a server nicely. Still nothing. Bummer. We spotted what appeared to be two servers talking to the bartender the entire time. Still nothing. We left and went to Farrell’s and had beers in 1min 30sec after sitting down. Pretty straightforward. They even gave us a free beer after we told them what happened at Greenwood. “This is what real service looks like!” They said.
So I visited this place for lunch with a friend and was expecting a bier hall atmosphere with some middle of the road food options. WRONG! I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and was absolutely blown away. They also had an unusual Berliner-Weiss style mead on tap that was a perfect match for the sunny day. Plus their Covid setup was quite comfortable. Will be back for sure!
It was a great bar before COVID-19, its an even better bar in these interesting times given all the space outdoors they have and their ability to comfortably accommodate you and your party within a safe distance of the other patrons. The food is top-notch, the ever-changing beer selection is fantastic, the staff is awesome, and its always clean. Highly recommended.
Cool place with a ton of outdoor seating. I went on a Sunday on one of the first nice days of the year, so this might not be reflective of their usual service. There was about an hour long wait for food, but we werent in a hurry, so we just chilled with a beer until the food came. I order their Impossible (veggie) burger and it was pretty good. Yummy bun, not soggy, crisp fries. I didnt feel like I was going to have a heart attack after eating.
Horrible service. I went one Friday, it was not crowded at all. In order to get in we had to show our IDs. Once we were seated we ordered our drinks and our waiter asked for our ID and debit card. He left with our cards! I asked him why he did that and I wanted them back. He stated that it was policy to take Id and debit card to insure we pay because alot of people run out without paying. He said hell bring them back but they are going to be mad at him. He brang them back. The beer was nasty and my nachos were disgusting. Never going back ever again!!!!! I felt discriminated!
This is a super fun and lively environment especially to watch sports. Its kid friendly and the food is pretty decent. The place is fairly large so it isnt too difficult to find a place to sit. They seem to have options for pretty much any dietary need. I had the shrimp salad which was very good. The fries and nachos are tasty too. The sangria is tasty and strong.
Food was good, service not great, bouncer at 2pm asked for IDs when no one going to drink, and hostess didnt help to seat is in shade as she said there were tables reserved, only after we were seated did she put reserved signs on tables, and no one showed due any of those 4 tables while we were there, not good given the very hot sun.
Went here for the 2nd Annual Oysterfest. It was run by a third party event company and a chaotic mess from the beginning. They were trying to retro fit it to work with COVID regulations and eventually found their footing an hour into the three hour event but the start was not great. Paul, the owner of the actual restaurant at GP, came over to every table to apologize and offered us a free drink on the house. He and the wait staff did a great job trying to make the best of the situation and made the experince really pleasant. The risotto balls were also delicious so highly recommend checking the place out. Kudos for the great customer service and transforming the experience fot us!
They are only good for their wing Sriracha sauce. They have a full bar but dont sell certain drinks like long island Iced tea due to past issues with customers. To me I think thats absurd you are a bar tend to the bar. The fries were terrible it looked like they gave us scrap fries you know the small chopped up pieces no one wants. The waitress was a hot mess she even admitted to us she was doing a terrible job which she was. The place itself is perfect for social distancing but thats all. Its hard for bar food to suck but it did. Frose tasted like juice. Definitely will not return no matter how nice the interior looks its not worth the food or drinks dont bother......NEXT.
Very cool and chilled atmosphere. They have games for adults and kids. Kids need to be out of the place by 8pm. The drinks are alright and the food is good. Cant complain about this place at all. Parking might be a little difficult depending on what time you get thwer.
Place is sweet! They only take cash but they have $2 ATMs right next to the bathrooms. The food is pretty expensive you have to pay for a burger then separate for fries. I’m sure the margins are high on bar food. It would be nicer if they actually had food combos like a normal bar. The place is fun in the summer time! Great place to drink and hang with friends.
I used to like this place but ...First of all the management is extremely rude. I came there with a group of friend . After spending a couple of hours there I was suddenly presented with the bill and a visit from security asking for us to leave at once. This was quite strange since we were just regular customers enjoying a few burgers and pizza . Security came at that time asking for a group of 5 of us to us to leave . This was quite strange as we weren’t drinking or acting obnoxious or anything . It just seemed as a regular visit after work. They presented us the check saying that we were “unruly” . Note well , we were a group who normally spend time there . The management appeared new as I didn’t recognize them when they came . Management refuses to present thier name when asked but asked repeatedly mine when asked what mine was . This was totally inappropriate based on the circumstance. We then proceeded to leave ,being completely disenfranchised by their attitude . Upon leaving I saw a line of customers waiting to be seated. Now I know that they only wish for customers to hurry eating or drinking and get out within a certain time limit. This is extremely distressing considering as I quite liked this place before . I hope that thier owners seek better management soon . Will not visit this establishment ever again . Very disheartening given the attitude of management
This place has a gigantic outdoor space which is great in warm weather, except for the fact that they allow children and dogs in during the day. I prefer my drinking to be child and dog free. Luckily they do not allow scooters or bikes, so the place doesnt become a complete playground. They also only take cash. The bathrooms are usually a disaster - low or no supplies and garbage everywhere. The staff is nice though.
Stopped in for a few beers and to watch the Cup. It was a little warm inside but it was also 96° outside and very crowded so no foul on the bar. Fantastic beer selection and above average bar food. Plenty of seating outside but a little packed inside. Great place to catch a match.
Great place! Large outdoor and indoor seating, and a good place to go to with large groups. Pitchers of beer are affordable, theres a good selection of different kinds of beers, and the food is reasonably priced and tasty. Only complaint Id have is at times the music was so loud I couldnt hear the person talking next to me. There is no table service and it is a CASH ONLY bar that has an ATM. Definitely worth checking out if youre looking for a fun place to go to with friends.
Greenwood Park is a neighborhood gem that easily accommodates the “entire crew” for nights out, birthdays, and other festivities. The crowd is respectful and everyone seems to get along. There is always an excellent selection of beer as well as a full bar in the event that the beers do not strike a fancy. The menu is pretty accommodating for a beer garden and service is quick. The lines for games can be long but the atmosphere is good enough on its own to enjoy the company of your friends. A great, chill local spot that is perfect for summer nights.
Great place, open and generally uncrowded when its not a bocce league time. Very crowded with babies during weekend day times. They have a lot of TVs in the indoor area and seem to show a lot of non-North American sports frequently. A lot of picnic style tables so it’s usually pretty easy to find space for however many people.
Love the indoor vs. outdoor bar feeling. Great for groups since it it spacious and has a ton of seating. Small but really well done menu of food. Great selection of tap as well as bottle beers. Specialty cocktails served by the pint and an amazing and knowledgeable bar staff.Definitely plus for when it is more packed is that there are a ton of stalls in the ladies room...its the little things....As its been said if kids in a bar isnt your thing youd want to stay away until after 6pm when they stop letting them in..
I had a really nice and really chill time here. I wasnt really all that sure what to expect but from before you even walk inside for the first time, you can tell its going to be a great spot. Huge outdoor seating area (smoker friendly too, always a plus in my book), great bar food, great drinks, friendly staff. Basically... Go check it out! You wont regret you did.
This place has a great ambiance, and they even have live bands here on a regular basis (some of them State students). I love that they have cider on tap for those of us who dont like beer. The prices are cheap and you can grab food from one of the vendors right underneath the bar. Great place to sit and study with friends!
This bar is totally fine, decent beer/drink selection and food, unless you have to use the bathroom. Half the stalls don’t lock or have toilet paper and everything is wet. Literally everything. Pretty gross. Made me kinda wish I hadn’t ordered food but haven’t gotten sick so that is a plus.
Great for groups and parents with kids who want to kick back and drink, eat, watch a sports game, and/or play lawn games including bocce and cornhole. The outdoor space is huge, so it’s great for parties when the weather is nice, and they have a decent interior space.Like I said though, it’s super kid-friendly, so if you’re looking to get away from little rugrats, perhaps stay away on the weekends before 7pm.
I had been invited to a birthday party on October 2nd at Greenwood Park with a reservation. When we got to the entry way, the security who was inconsistent with checking IDs of people entering had turned away a invitee of ours because he lacked ID. Even though we werent going to drink he was turned away. Also the waiter was not being attentive to when we were ordering while having a condescending tone and the management did not enforce wearing masks when the state requires it. Terrible service and horrendous treatment of your reserved guests. I would not be returning or recommending this place to anyone after this.
Greenwood Park is my favorite establishment for going out with my family and friends. Great service, drinks and food. Since they’ve reopened, their outdoor space allows for social distancing, the staff is masked, and when not seated, everyone is else wearing a mask as well.
Big space with lots of seating. Lot of selection of driks. People can bring kids apparently -running around the place. Line for restroom moves fast regardless of both sexes sharing facilities. Can be difficult to get something to eat because of their system. Their burgers & fries are really great though. Would go here again.
An awesome addition to an otherwise mostly-barren neighborhood. Really love the indoor/outdoor aspect of this local beer garden. The food is great too -- just make sure you order before you actually get hungry - the kitchen is always swamped! Show up early on the weekends to get a good table, or wait until after dark when the children are asked to leave. Anytime of day/night this is a great spot for groups.
Great place to come with friends or on a date. The vibe is great and friendly. Theres an outdoor section to enjoy eating. Theres also some games to play. As for kids, its a great place to come before 7 pm since after 7pm its for adults. Theres ample parking. The food is delicious.
I dream about Greenwood Park’s chicken cobb salad. SO GOOD! I went there during Covid-19 on a Saturday in August around noon, and it wasn’t crowded at all. The staff wears masks and is taking all safety precautions, and it felt safe to be outside there. Fantastic service and great food experience!
Greenwood has a solid vibe and great food. There’s a family vibe so there are a healthy amount of kids running around on the weekends. The prices are good and the food is your typical bar food. Fries, wings, sandwiches. However, its definitely some of the best in the area.Make sure to bring a debit card or some cash. Both the bar and food are cash only.
This bar has obvious benefits. Huge outdoor space, tons of indoor seating, bocce, plenty of bathrooms, delicious and reasonably priced bar food, and a big beer selection. The outdoor area is so nice that Greenwood park is one of the first places my wife and I go on those early spring days. All of that being said, our experiences have been a little mixed. Mostly the service is good, and while never actively bad, it can sometimes be kind of chaotic and slow. Also, while this is not always an issue, Ive had beers that tasted a little off here in the past. When it gets busy, and sometimes when its not busy at all, the beers are served in plastic cups which is kind of a pet peeve of mine when youre paying $7-8 for a craft beer.Lastly, it is cash only which is a huge annoyance. Generally I do not frequent bars and restaurants that are cash only as a rule. The space and uniqueness for the area are what bring me into Greenwood Park anyway, although I would say I definitely come here less because of it. There is absolutely no excuse for a place like this, with as much business as they get, to be cash only.Overall though, decent and fun bar.
This is my favorite beer garden in NYC. Theres a lot of space and they have a good selection of local beers. The beers are decently priced, $6-8. There is a happy hour but only on weekdays 12pm-7pm where drinks are $2 off. It used to be a gas station that they converted into a beer garden. The food is pretty tasty but a bit overpriced. You have to order at the counter and they bring it to you. I like the honey sriracha wings, blue cheese fries, and the lamb burger the most. Theres a lot of space but it does get crowded on weekend nights. Also, this place is cash only and they have an ATM inside.
Drinks and atmosphere: 5 stars, lovely space, good beersFood: 2 stars, extremely overpriced and mediocre. The burger in particular: $15.50 of thin, tasteless, poorly textured frozen burger patty with the most absurdly over-fried, tiny, hard onion ring on top. All together a very unpleasant eating experience. Its pretty hard to mess up a burger this badly but they manage. Chicken fingers fine.
Really awesome outdoor beer garden. Great place to go in the summer. Lots of good beers. The food is pretty mediocre, but its not expensive either. Lots of seating outside, and some inside. Its a bit out of the way, but its a nice neighborhood place that doesnt get too crowded. One downside is that you can smoke in the outdoor areas.
A great bar for a warm day, but a bit out of the way (thats just my opinion though, Im still not used to the bus system in Brooklyn). I went for a friends birthday party and we enjoyed the fresh air and good beer selection. The place was cash only so its best to have some money on you or use the ATM nearby. If you need to eat, dont fret; this place has some decent bar food. I recommend the fried pickles, but what can I say, Ive always been a fan of them!
Had security and staff almost attack me for standing up when i had a major leg cramp.did not care about my health only that i was standing. And again when i was paying bill they said i had to sit.Only reason they came fast is when i said i was walking towards door. Staff is not friendly.wont be back and have spoken to many many others about this place.
Its a very different place. If you like to experience different things/ places. Youll like it. They dont have crazy drink menu. Its more of a beers ams pitchers type of place. Fun activities fron what I heard. Cant say that I did much because I was just talking with my my l friends and stuff. Bath room its big but you share with the opposite sex. Saying that to inform people if they care.
Great large outdoor where youd least expect it. Great specialty drinks and drink specials, $11 for a huge All Day IPA and a shot of Jameson or Hornitos. Get there before the stroller brigade does, it must get crazy! The food looked awesome. Def going back to try it very soon. Bocci ball and cornhole games available for some drunken fun.
Cool atmosphere; I particularly like the stacked pallets used as exterior walls. Bocce courts are fun, but not for serious players given the uneven surfaces. They always have a large number of beers on tap, but unfortunately, a lot of the usual suspects. Nice bathrooms. Generally very relaxing given the open-air design. Would like to see them crack down on people smoking, however.
I absolutely loved this place when i went about 2 weeks ago. food was amazing!! had the most delicious brussel sprouts with BACON lol who doesnt like bacon?! The froze was delish and hit the spot that summer afternoon. Also loved that it was family friendly! Looking forward to possibly bringing my girls with me next time for lunch.
Its a great outdoor beer garden space. I came here for the World Cup to watch Germany win. There were some annoying patrons who got there late and then decided to stand in front of the seated folks. Most of the people are very polite and mindful of others. Some are not.The servers refuse to come back if they missed a condiment; trust me, I asked. There should automatically be ketchup with a hot dog, no? Call me old-fashioned. The two separate lines for ordering food and ordering drinks makes sense to me. It keeps the lines moving. Its really the kids that knocked this from 4 to 3 stars. I just dont get why theyre allowed in, and why some people think its appropriate to change diapers in front of eating patrons. Its NOT. This was gross negligence for the bar to allow this health violation!!If Greenwood Park, fixed this hitch, then it would an even better environment.
Nice atmosphere, and a very nice place to hang out with friends and have a good time while enjoying a drink. Bar service was not so nice, the bartender was rude and kept responding to question with questions. Maybe we were just unluck with with the annoying bartender.
Shiesty, underhanded cash only stop with high ATM fees (when its not empty) and causes a massive disruption in an otherwise peaceful, residential area. A family bar thats essentially a playground where kids throw rocks and you can get an overpriced drink. I cant think of a single redeeming thing about this place. The people who wait for food make me feel very badly for them. Youd pick up the ingredients faster from Key foods and cook them faster than this dump ever could. Especially if you have food allergies. Cease and desist. I would imagine if youre a fan of this bar then you dont live in the area and deal with the fallout of the noise. Were all working class here with families, show some consideration ffs. and for those of us that just live around here because of the cemetery to be closer to our deceased loved ones, there is a fine line between being tacky and catering to tourists. This bar doesnt seem to know the difference.
Awesome place, great environment, however its pretty expensive. I guess thats what is to expect at a place like this in an area like its in. Also.... Kids. This can be good for people who want to bring children but not me. My whole group left because there were so many toddlers running around, throwing rocks and stuff, kids climbing on the pallets. Not the vibe were looking for.
This place is amazing. Its an awesome bar with great drinks and food. Plus the space is huge, there is a really cool and friendly vibe, and the bocce courts are super-fun. Well worth the short walk from Park Slope/Windsor Terrace, or from the subway. Highly recommended!
Great local Sunset Park Spot, yes the neighborhood is Sunset Park, not Greenwood Heights or south slope. Those names are basically made up to make real estate more appealing. On to the the review of Greenwood Park, I love the beer selection and the atmosphere, its kid friendly and inviting and the hot dogs are tasty. Its my go to place for a Sunday afternoon beer, sometimes we bring the kids.
Good mellow place to hang out with friends. Huge outside seating area, by NYC standards. They have grapefruit beer, which most bars snob :) Food is ok for a bar food but not something to be very excited about. They dont take credit cards, so bring cash. Tap beer is served in singe-use plastic cups, which is rather wasteful.
@danilo stjfepanovic @Bruce Bowen @John P @Alex HNot sure if you know but we are currently in the middle of a global pandemic. NYC was hit particularly hard and restaurants/bars were closed. Any restaurant that is open is hanging on by a thread. These businesses are owned by people with families and employee people with families. They are doing their best to serve people (with families). It is hard, it is stressful, and customers are often not compliant with the ever-changing covid rules. You have to be really devoid of compassion and lacking common decency to give a bad review to a restaurant/bar during these times. This restaurant/bar doesn’t suck, you do.

A raucous bar with an awesome tap selection and a few knowledgeable bartenders. If you like beer then be selective. For me this place is a long trek from the beaten path but worth it when they have rare beers you cant get anywhere on the east coast like founders KBS or even the highly rated CBS. Lots of outdoor seating surrounded by a wall of shipping pallets which gives an almost carnival atmosphere. Inside it sounds like a junior high school cafeteria. With beer.
Place is good for its purpose, but the indoors area was way too hot to get relief from a brutal NYC summer say. Asked the staff more than once if the AC had problems and they dismissed my request. There is no way the indoors areas AC was working well and nobody seemed to care.
This place is great. Awesome facility, good bathrooms, clean, good food, etc. However, no cash. No cash is stupid. Its a brand new place with new technology, and theyre worried about saving 1.6-2.9% at most for credit card transactions, yet mae $3 per atm transaction. Dumb logic. 3 stars.
My first experience as a POC was unsettling. These people didn’t allow me and a few friends to walk around and explore. These people followed me around the bar antagonizing me while we were drinking and looking for a good time. Lastly, we weren’t greeted with open arms and all We got was negative vibes. This is not it.
First let me start off by saying I checked in and got my free bubbly lol.I came on a Saturday evening and the place was packed. It was for my friends birthday she rented out the third floor room for a few hours it came with open bar for two hours. Yassss lol.I wish I could remember he name of the two people who were are bartender and server. They were awesome.Decor: absolutely amazing nice chic and classy.Food: Yummy. I got the chicken and majority of the other guest got steak. We got macaroni and cheese, truffle fries , and a vegetable to share. It was very good. Omg how can I forget the sourdough bread it was truly amazing.Rooftop: we then had a great time listening to music and dancing on the rooftop. It was amazing
Spacious indoor/outdoor beer garden with a huge selection of good beer and a small selection of bad food. Outdoor space is out on a concrete walled in front yard, half of it under a large tent. Inside is much more interesting visually speaking. Friendly staff and open late.
Ok this place is very cool and a lovely day drink for a Saturday or Sunday. But beware, it’s effing Romper Room. And I get it, parents want to go out, too. It’s a tough call. But honestly when we couldn’t have a table cuz a group of 11-year olds needed it to hold their coats and a place to visit and play a video game on their phones every 45 mins, I got fed up. In the heat of the summer expect to see parents holding entire tables for a small child’s birthday party. Still, it’s a cool place and one is f the best “big open places” in the hood. Just be prepared.
I cant tell you how excited I was when they first started building Greenwood Park last year. Finally, a destination for so many folks in the Park Slope, Windsor Terrace and Kensington areas!Greenwood Park is a huge indoor/outdoor space with enough beer and activities to keep you busy for days. With high boys and a long bar inside and tables with umbrellas outside, youll be able to sit AND enjoy the space. The beer options are endless and Ive vowed to never drink the same beer twice. They also have some mixed drinks, but Id recommend you stay away from the bourbon lemonade unless you drink bourbon often. Whoa, that packed a punch! They also serve food which is conveniently ordered from a separate counter. You have to bring a number back to your table for delivery, which I imagine is hard when its packed, but the delivery time is pretty quick. Must order? Wings, of course!Note: If youre not a fan of kids in the bar, you may want to avoid Greenwood Park until the evening because during the day, there seem to be just as many kids as there are adults.Note2: The bartenders dont really care about you, which is unfortunate. I ordered the same beer three times and got different beers. Meh.

2022-06-25Gorgeous and large outdoor seating area. Very beautiful at night when the lights come on. I got a personal margherita pizza, a frosé (both pictured), and daddys little helper. Both very refreshing drinks for a warm summer evening. Fun place to go to watch games.

2022-06-19Great huge patio with some really good bar food. The tots and fries were on point. Good nachos. Fish tacos were massive and tasty. Excellent beer list. Warning, kids arent seated after 7pm.

2022-06-30Nice outdoor seating and available to accommodate larger groups. Go during off peak times when it’s less crowded. There is a sign that is posted that says your kids must stay at your table, so maybe not good if your toddler is a wanderer. :)

2022-04-14I like the pay on your phone feature, outdoor area was lovely on a gorgeous day. Looks like theres a semi open room you can reserve/take over as well for parties. Menu felt a bit limited. Chips and guac was really good. The fried steak was too heavy for me (should have known)

2022-04-15I went with friends and they told us they had no tables but that they had empty ones inside.. We went inside and there were no tables the hostess found an empty table that looked like it was just holding some cleaning supplies.. She cleared it we all went to sit and the chairs were all broken. I had to go around asking patrons if I can borrow their stools. We waited 15min and not one waiter/waitress came to our table. I asked a kid that worked there and he went outside to ask the staff. He comes back and tells us we have to order at the bar. The bar was pretty full took us another 15min to just order our drinks. The best part of the night was when I had to play waitress and take food orders from everyone. Then I had to stand on a line to put in those orders.. I miss the old Beer Garden..

2022-05-14Sort of like a slightly classy Chucky Cheese type place for parents to drink beer while their noisy kids run around. Food and service both mediocre. They demand a credit card to hold when you arrive then automatically add a 3.5% credit card fee to the bill. Charged us for extra fries no one ordered (all our food already came with fries). If you want cheddar on your $19 burger instead of tasteless American cheese it is $2 extra.

2022-05-13Dont under estimate that impossible burger, its incredible how far veggie burgers have come. That was the most banging burger Ive ever had. We also had mushroom risotto balls, and a brownie sundae. Well be back 100 more times!

2021-07-09July 2021 edit: would still give this place 1 star for the service. I don’t know why kind of system they are using with their fancy iPads etc but there is no communication between the time we sit down to the table and when it’s time to place an order. We had to hound down someone 15min into sitting for get an order in. Why not just allow us to order on our phones if we’re scanning the menus anyways. Also blue fries 😅😅😅😅😅Came here with reservations for 8. It’s been about 40 min now and our drinks have been forgotten, and still not here. After letting two employees know we are still waiting.

2022-03-19Listen. This place is near and dear to my heart. Great food , great selection of beers and cocktails. But I noticed recently how their staff has changed up and they are not like the OG staff. I still enjoy the vibes tho

2020-09-11Love this place. Excellent outdoor seatings with great choices of beers. Foods are fresh and delicious. Easy to find parkings. We had a party for 9 people and it was comfortable because there were enough space. Wonderful place to hang and chill.
