Gregorys Coffee in other cities:
Gregory’s is synonym of good coffee. This is not your average posh over sweet Starbucks. The layout feels a bit tight due to their location on one of the Main Streets of New York, however the experience is great for make a quick stop to enjoy some coffee in the horrible winter weather in New York haha. Jokes aside , this is one of my favourite places to stop by always im in New York ❤️
Great experiences time after time. Hall and oats is a life saver... so delicious. Especially for night owls like me. Stephanie and Itzel were angels today and offered these roses when they saw me and my friend in MSK scrubs on our lunch break. Made our day!! Can’t wait to come back
What a treat! yesterday i had just left doctors appointment, wanted a bonus of great coffee and was directed to Gregorys. i walked right into an amazing selection of beautiful donuts, choice of several sandwiches, and i think a few cakes. i bought an amazing croissant sandwich (A+), yogurt w/ oats and terrific coffee. THANK YOU!! (ill be BACK!)
My pumpkin latte was great but Im going to have to give two stars just because the guy who assisted me started to chat instead of making my latte. I was like hello Im here waiting. So sorry Gregory is not you is your people that needs to be more costumer service oriented.
Tried:- vegan lemon poppy seed pound cake (decent, kinda dry)- old fashioned vegan donught (surprisingly solid, which is saying something without any toppings)- Vegan breakfast burrito (really satisfying comfort food)- espresso (i dont know coffee but I guess good)- Vegan delux - really delicious and indulgent, croissant was excellent- vegan zucinni bread - great, moist- vegan pb cookie - delicious- green smoothie - delicious, bit pricey at $9 for a smallWould be great to see more vegan options on the menu in the future!
Ok drip coffee and vegan bar (maybe 3 stars) but terrible internet speed. Why did you bother putting tables around if you won’t service at least 1mbps internet? I was getting 200-500kbps, like dial up speeds. It wasn’t like a lot of people were sitting inside either. Like 5-6 people were there and yet this is the state of internet. Totally and utterly unusable. You can’t even check emails with that kind of speed nowadays. At least put a sign on the door so that people can pass on to other places. If you want a good coffee just go to the 787 Coffee like 50ft away and if good internet is what you’re looking then go to Starbucks which is like 30ft away. I don’t see why I would come here again or anyone else for that matter.
Gregorys Coffee has always been a go to for me - in warm weather Im a huge fan of their cold brew drinks (Honey Badger!) and generally love how they offer healthier food options and smoothies for breakfast on the go. Theyre currently developing more vegan products, and I am OBSESSED with their new deluxe vegan breakfast sandwich (I am actually not even vegan, I just cant eat too much dairy and regular BECs make me feel like garbage, so this is the perfect solution because lets be real BEC sandwiches are essential to NYC life). I just moved to the UES and this location is my closest one and it clean, brightly lit, and has good service!
A typical Gregorys coffee cafe, the same as any others in the chain. The drinks are fine, if quite expensive, and the service was decent. There is adequate seating and power outlets if you need to do some work, provided its not too busy (avoid the middle of thee day crowds). Overall, if you like other Gregorys Coffee shops then youll like this one, but there are also plenty of better options in the vicinity.
The espresso drinks are delicious and smooth and consistently prepared! The cappuccino with lavender syrup, extra hot is my go to option. The strawberry almond butter toast is filling and amazing as well. They always have an ice cold self serve water station and an array of tasty and healthy baked goods. The service could be a bit faster but I keep returning!
Love this place! I come here every time Im in the city. It can definitely get busy but the service is always on punto. Plenty of vegan options (turmeric latte with a shot of espresso is my go-to). For my non-vegans, try the hot chocolate with heavy cream. Its like a holiday party in your mouth ☕🎅🏿
Ive been on a quest to find the best coffee shops in the Upper East Side that allow me a comfortable place to work/study while enjoying atmosphere, food, and drink. Gregorys coffee has been one of the best, no question. Their coffee is great, their staff is warm and friendly, and their setup is ideal for people who dont mind being relatively close with other, and yet still having plenty of room to work. The only downside at Gregorys that I can find is that their wifi has been horrendously slow the few times Ive been. Dont expect to be doing anything more resource intensive than email, because youll be in for a frustrating ride. Not a huge gripe, but worth noting!
A super standard Gregorys - AKA great. Same consistency of drinks and food youll find at Starbucks but always better quality and usually less crowded in my experience. Espresso drinks are always done well (I have visited the Gregorys down by Union Square and Hunter college more frequently) and their Cold Brew is really nice.
This place is always packed and for good reason. The employees are always multitasking, they seem to rotate between stations and be talking over each other in the name of speed. The coffee is great but they always seem to be out of one thing or another. I always ask for oat-milk and only sometimes do they have it.

When I’m working at NYU or Rockefeller, I sometimes end up coming here 2/3 times a day in between meetings. The food is great and the coffee selection is pretty big - their selection of cold brew is untested as far as I can tell. The ‘Honeybadger’ and the ‘Hall & Oates’ would be my personal recommendationsThe main reason I always come back here is that it’s never too overwhelmingly busy and the staff are always really friendly (sometimes hard to find in NY).
Some of the staff are very friendly and professional, others are a little absent-minded. They dont seem to have mastered their communication behind the counter, and a few items or things can sometimes fall between the cracks, but almost always picked up. For the most part, they do an excellent job, are friendly and lively, and have good coffee. Also, a Dirty Chai , which was a revelation (delicious and more caffeine with an expresso shot). The red eye is also well made. I recommend a small hot red eye in a medium cup to have room for milk.
I was at the local park nearby with my child, thought Id pop in on a Saturday around 6ish to use the restrooms. The barista I asked said it was for customers only, which I totally understand, but it was practically empty and I am 8.5 months pregnant so I thought a bit of compassion wouldnt hurt. I asked a couple of times and the same time she gave the same response, very rudely. Most places Ive been to have had no issues with non customers, especially when they see someone heavily pregnant. Ive had their coffee before and its not the greatest, the customer service has also put me off, wont be returning and will tell other colleagues as I work nearby.
I like the coffee and the ambiance. The three stars is because of the god awful WiFi. I’m sitting trying to connect to my email or load a simple image on a website and it just takes so long. Would get significantly better reviews if their WiFi was just better. The WiFi is my only gripe with an otherwise great coffee shop.
They have no experience in making latte , cappuccino etc! Is the same taste like the DELI in the corner or McDonalds))) Try more lessons guys , no disrespect for the hours you work but by not doing it right you will destroy the reputation of Gregory’s coffee ! Try taking some lessons , there is plenty on YouTube and is also for FREE ! Show some respect for the customers!PS: Try Think Coffee, Bluestone or LaughingMan (not to mention others), you will see the difference!
Their dirty chai is so good! I normally would get mine from Starbucks but now that I have tried theirs it is hard to go back! Gregorys dirty chai is not nearly as sweet in a good way and I like that they have the option on almond milk which I enjoy more than coconut milk. Only flaw I have seen is they do not have late hours like Starbucks does. So if you are in school like myself it is a bummer they are closed anywhere between 6-8 depending on location.
Placed our order via mobile app. Got to Gregorys and order was not ready. Waited 10 minutes and asked where our order was. Thats when they made it. Why bother to have this app if the employees ignore it. Not the first time this has happened. In fact, it seems to be a recurring problem, in more than one Gregorys.

2022-06-08I come this branch of Gregorys often to study. The vegan bar is my favorite, goes well with latte. It is crowded most of the times but there is almost always available spots because they have plenty of seating. The tables are always clean. The staff is nice and the restroom is clean as well. The interior is little chilly which is really good in summer. Also, it is pet-friendly.

2021-12-28This location makes terrible drinks. We ordered 2 drinks and both were the worst we have ever had. The turmeric latte was all milk ( see pic) and lukewarm at best. The cappuccino (pic with brown foam) was also all milk and didnt have any coffee taste at all. One would be better off ordering coffee from the nearby Dunkins or McDonalds.I visited this location again recently as it is close to Weill Cornell hospital. I again had the same experience. Avoid this location.

2022-03-19I Just want to start out by saying that this store has one of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced! I was greeted by who i believe was the manager cause she was the only one dressed differently she was so patient with me. I asked about the vegan scrambled which at the moment they had ran out but she didn’t hesitate to talk about the other vegan options. I had the vegan burrito which was AMAZING! Not to mention that my latte was ready for me in seconds. The store looked well put together the team looked busy but working. To my surprise The bathroom was also super clean! Wifi was great! I sat down for some hours and everything was swell. Definitely recommend definitely will stop by when in town!

2022-05-16Best Gregory coffee shop I have been to in the city. My salted caramel cold brew was perfectly done. Being a teacher I need all the caffeine I can get. Along side my warm banana nut cake. Simply heaven :)

2022-05-25This location is my absolute favorite. The service is great; I’m greeted as soon as I enter. I also love the fact that the staffs already know my order. The manager Mariel is very personable and always asks how my day is. The store is very big and clean. I love it.

2022-07-06Live in the neighborhood, wanted to give Gregory’s a shot. Go around the corner (either corner) and you’ll find better coffee and service.Came for an espresso. First shot was syrupy, lukewarm and tasted heavily of chocolate (not in flavor profile but as if the machine was not clean from another drink?) Like the flavor of hot chocolate powder.Brought this up and was passively offered another shot. Manager didn’t seem to believe or care. Second shot tasted normal (which is to say, average) but was the smallest shot of espresso I have ever received.Could be an off day, but the uncaring service is enough for me to continue walking the extra block for far better espresso.

2022-08-12Probably the cleanest and spacious coffee shop in the UES great for studying or work. Coffee is okay, their breads are a bit better.
