Over-all great experience, from start to finish the office staff was very friendly and helpful. Brian was very insightful and educated my wife and I on what needed to be done to replace our current roof. After meeting with Brian the communication was from the office was very consistent, although rain delayed our project a bit they never skipped a beat. Highly Recommend
Greg the Roofer was wonderful to work with, Brian was up front and honest about the process, The Offices communication was fantastic. They Updated us about material/dumpster deliverers and our start date . With in 2 Weeks we had a brand new roof and we are thrilled! Highly Recommend
We recently had our house sided by this company & we are so pleased!! The price was fair & the quality of their work is outstanding! I have already recommended them to my friends & neighbors. Our sales guy Tony was very knowledgeable & checked in regularly. Dave & his crew were fantastic! They work so hard & kept me informed every step of the way. They would keep me involved in the details & went above & beyond to make everything perfect! They take pride in their work & it shows. The owner even came out to check in & see the progress!! Just had a new roof replaced. Working with them while coordinating with a new driveway at the same time. Anyway, they were able to get in and out in two days. Great job....
When they came onsite the quoted me about 13k to do the roof and skylights, they had the prices of the other roofs on the quote too so I asked for an updated quote and it came back 5k more. Emailed them and received no response for 5 days, called them and they said Brian would call me back, he never did. Then they replied saying the 5k more is because he did not have the scope of work in front of him. Seems a bit shady. Decided to go else where. They also never got back to me on a few other quotes they said they would for interior work. As you can see from the picture (if it loads) all of a sudden the tear off was another $2700 and the standing beam went from $10,500 to $15,000. They were at my house and on my roof, but yet were not aware of the scope of work? The best place to get a response from them is google it seems, they dont call you back or respond to emails. Also love how the owner comes out and attacks potential customers. Really shows the type of company they are. I never asked to change the scope of work. That is a flat out lie from the owner.
Hired them to replace a few roof shingles that I even provided for them. Not only did they over charge for such a simple job but they botched it entirely then refused to come back and fix it. There were two sizes of shingles that I provided them, since different parts of my roof had differently-sized shingles and they put the wrong ones on the spot that needed repair. When I called Greg to tell him that the shingles looked off and that there was still some exposed roof, he said that was absurd and that my problem was I needed a new roof, despite other roofers and a home inspector telling me the roof had 5-10 years of life left.Learned my lesson and hired another local roofer with much better ratings and they effortlessly fixed it, noting that Gregs team used the wrong shingles and that the job looked rushed in general. Its been over two years since the repair and the roof is still in great shape. Thought Id wait a while until submitting a review, just in case Greg was right and that my roof would need to be replaced. Turns out he was dead wrong.
Contracted greg to fix a leaking roof in the beginning of April 2017. After they did the repairs I promptly paid my $750.00 bill. In early July there was leaks from the same area. Tried repeatedly to get someone to talk to with no response. A week ago I started calling daily. Brian called me and said he was at the house and where was the leak. An hour and a half later he called back to tell me the repairs were complete. When I questioned him about what he had done he misrepresented the extent of the repairs . He told me he would have Greg call me. Never hear from him. All he did was caulk between the J channel...part of the siding and the shingles. He didnt fix what was done incorrectly from the first time. When I called back and said I was lied to I finally talked to the office manager. I was told they didnt warranty repairs. News to me. The conversation ended with their office manager telling me if I knew so much about roofing I should do it myself. Zero customer service. Still have not heard from Greg.
So far Greg has done two of our roofs and has done a complete siding on a large 2400 sq ft home in the South wedge and 19th Ward area. I am about to use him for a third time. Fair pricing so far and good workmanship. Oldest roof is 3 years old no complications
Unfortunately, Greg did a less than stellar job on a roof that was replaced for a client. First off, he uses a contract that includes language that precludes himself from cleaning up after a job. Why on earth would any contractor leave a job site in disarray after completion?? He damaged a gutter, left an enormous mess inside and out wasnt very pleasant to deal. Try and do better for all of your clients, Greg. Especially, real estate firms that sell in excess of 60 million dollars annually.
I couldnt be happier. I needed some roof repair. Greg the Roofer was very responsive, price was fair, and they were great to work with. I would recommend them to anyone. I will definitely use them for anything I need in the future.
Excellent from beginning to end. The communication from the office was outstanding. The workers were amazing. They were fast and efficient and cleaned up after themselves. On top of it they were super courteous. And they followed up to be sure job was done right. I would highly recommend them. Greg should be proud!
This company simply never did what they said they would do. Didn’t return phone calls - ever. Didn’t follow up. Didn’t forward the estimate... Very unprofessional interaction. The good news - I never signed a contract for work. Whew!! Dodged a bullet :)2) you guys never once returned numerous phone calls. I was told by more than one of your employees that I would get an estate - never happened. I was told I would get return phone calls - never happened. I was told by your employee that the job was PRECISELY within your scope. I’m just sorry that I wasted time with you guys. But, I’m so glad to learn this BEFORE the projects. Whew!! New to the area, but I’m learning
Work was done professionally and onsite crew was respectful. Owner and office staff are exact opposite. Only advice, dont ask for a payment plan, they will deny rememberingajing any arrangements and hold you to the contract you signed. Verbal changes with this company can not be trusted and they will become verbally abusive. Will even make treats to collect money you told three you will pay. Not with the time of you cant pay pay pay cash. If you pay by credit be prepared to pay a 3% fee. My advice negotiate a discount to make up the cost of additional charges.But the way they will say we checked our records and have no record of any conversation. So easy to put only what they want med to record. Too may communications issues. I would only recommend it you can pay in full after job is completed.
Wouldnt touch this place again with a ten foot pole. Suffice it to say, Gregs Custom Exteriors Inc. couldnt get anything right.Also, watch out for the belligerent trolls theyve got working at their store front. Just as ugly on the outside as they are on the inside.
They did an excellent job on my siding, doors and windows, and at a great price. I am very happy with the work. I will use them again when I need a new roof.

Terrible. They never actually got to my home. We had one of their guys come out for an estimate who was nice and helpful but after that it was one of the worst business experiences I have ever had. The estimate was done in early Oct. they gave no exact date for the project but stated 2-3 weeks before they could get to it. End of Oct. no phone call or anything, So I call and I am told due to weather blah blah blah, but that defiantly by end Oct.,understandable, Oct ends again no phone call, no anything. I call again now at this point they tell basically they will get around to it when they get around to it. End of Nov, again nothing from them, I call and I am told if you can get someone else go ahead. I had high hopes for this company and heard good things but found out they were not true. so very disappointed
Person came out to look at my roof. Here we are over a week later and still have not gotten an estimate. Called the office they said the would send it over. Got nothing.
Gregg and team came nine Am did my house and garage five Pm they were done .Highly recommend his company .
The service was excellent with the job being done in the amount of time that was quoted and the clean up was excellent. The roof looks really great.
I will use these guys anytime price was great work is excellent, workers are professional, clean friendly and very experience.
They gave us a worst case price and it ended up being considerably cheaper. I appreciate that.

2022-08-24I had this company side my home about 2 1/2 yrs ago. They did a beautiful job on the siding BUT BROKE 2 windows on my home. At the time it happened, I was told what happened. They immediately admitted responsibility and promised to come back and fix them. No one came back and when I called they told me the one window was special order and everything was backed up due to COVID. I started calling trying to find out when the windows would be replaced. Every time I was told theyd lookinto it and call me back. No one called me back EVER. Ive lost count of how many times I called and never got a response. Even as recently as a month or so ago I was still being given the same answer and never received a call back. In good faith I paid them everything I owed them because I thought they would be true to their word but they were not. Since its obvious my windows wont be replaced I would not recommend using them but if you do PROCEED WITH CAUTION.In your response you state the windows were originally installed incorrectly. You also said that you had to reinstall the windows after putting the siding on. In your statement you say there are gaps in the interior trim wood work yet you personally have never been inside the house to see it. Your employee took the responsibility to show me the damage and said someone would be back to fix it. There are not just gaps. The interior window frame is broken in several places. How can you state there are gaps when you never came inside the house to see it for yourself ? The reason we contacted your office is because your employee said someone would be back to fix it. You also say in your response that you told us to contact the window company. If that was true why would we be told by your office that an order has been placed but its been delayed due to covid? When no one came to repair the damage, we then contacted your office numerous times only to be told that they would look into it and get back to us but we never received a return phone call. As owner of the company, I expected you to take responsibility and fix the damage that was caused when the window was reinstalled.

2021-07-15I was recently away on vacation and came home to a large amount of water in my home which I was puzzled by as my roof was only 10 years old. I will add that Greg did NOT do the roof replacement. I contacted Greg and within 2 days he came out to give things a look. He identified that the roof work that was done was done properly, ne never once tried to bad mouth the previous contractor but instead praised the good work that they did. He did however notice that the trim metal on the facia of my drip edge on one of the roof dormers was not secured efficiently enough and that was where he believed the water to be coming from. He quickly fixed the situation and would not take any compensation when offered. The best part was the follow up I received the next day after having additional storms come through dousing us with more rain. I let him know that there was no more additional water coming into the home. It is nice to see a contractor that cares about the situation at hand and is not just out there looking to make a quick buck. Thanks again for all of the help and knowledge.

2020-01-06I love the new roof; Brian who came to give me the estimate was nice, thoughtful, kind and very knowledgeable. I thought getting a new roof would be as dismal as buying tires (boring, no choices, no fun) but was proved wrong. This was a great experience. I loved the selection. The job was far less noisy than I expected; the crew was fast but professional and very good. the clean up was well done. I would give Greg the Roofer a five out of five. I am so happy I did this!.

2019-07-26I was very pleased with the estimate that Greg gave us for a re-roof and new gutters. Greg came out numerous times before, during and after the job was complete. I was impressed with his knowledge with my problems with insulation and ventilation in my home. Greg’s crew did outstanding work during the hottest time of the year. When completed, the crew did an outstanding job cleaning up. I would highly recommend his services to anyone, which I have already done. Do yourself a favor, get a bunch of estimates, then call Greg, you won’t be sorry. Thanks Greg to you and your crew to a job well done.

2017-06-06Greg the Roofer came highly recommended by someone I trust in the construction business. They did a wonderful job on our roof. We had a re-roof done about 7 yrs before with such poor workmanship it was like not having done it at all! Gregs explained what the problems were, how we could fix the damage that was done, and ensure it didnt happen again. The crew was very professional, they worked quickly, and did a good clean up job after. They werent the cheapest (weve gone that route), but the price was fair and well worth it.

2020-05-10I contacted 3 roofing contractors and Greg the Roofer had the most reasonable price, and I had a recommendation from my neighbor across the street. A week after detailed estimate with Brian from Gregs, Gregs crew was at my house replacing my roof (total tear off of two layers of roofing and reroof). The dumpster was removed the day they finished the roof, and Brian stopped over to double check the work(which he oversaw and communicated with the crew while they were working). He went up on the roof, inspected and explained everything they did. Brian also made sure everything was cleaned up properly. It looked like they were never at my house. Very organized company, roof is perfect. Highly recommend!

2018-05-18Within an hour of my inquiry I received an appointment for the following day to assess my 25 year old roof. Brian arrived as scheduled, surveyed our roofs condition and then provided a detailed estimate along with roofing samples, an attractive catalog showing how the various samples appear on finished roofs along with references and proof of insurance. He didnt upsell me on replacement skylights as others had and spent time with me explaining what and how the work would be done - promising the utmost care of my shrubbery and surroundings. The price was very fair and I signed the contract the following day with work beginning only a week later.The dumpster was brought in 1 day before the first workday. The first workday, the crew of 6 began putting protective tarps around the work area and enclosed smaller shrubs with plastic containers. Soon tear-off work began and by the end of the day 90% of the roof had been torn off, damaged plywood replaced, new engineered roofing installed, tarps removed and grounds cleaned up - including the use of a rolling magnetic pickup for nails. My neighbors and I marveled at how quickly the work was done - clearly the crew was a well oiled team. The next day was very stormy with downpours but the crew worked under tarps and completed the remaining 10% - maintaining the same level of cleanliness and professionalism.Brian was onsite at the end of each day to assess completion and then returned to survey the job with me and made sure I was completely satisfied before payment was made.Working with Greg The Roofer was an excellent experience: high level of professionalism, excellent work ethic and a very fair price.

2017-07-26We are thrilled with the recent work that Gregs Custom Exteriors did on our house. Brian came out a couple of days after we contacted them to provide a thorough and comprehensive estimate, and he was very available to us as we asked questions and weighed our options. The crew that came out to do the job worked very quickly and efficiently, and i was impressed with the time and care that they took to protect our landscaping and to scour the job site afterward to clean up even the smallest bits of debris.Gregs did an excellent job at a very reasonable price, and Id highly recommend this company!

2020-10-09Gregs did an excellent job replacing my skylight and that entire section of roof. From beginning to end they were courteous, on time, and informative. Quality workmanship. They also did an excellent job cleaning up afterward.
