By the time the Greyhound bus was thirty minutes late, they told me and my mom that the bus was full and couldnt get anymore people on the bus although they let the people behind us get on the bus. When we went back to the terminal, the people working at the time were incredibly rude and inconsiderate.
The only thing thats bad about Ithaca. Ive read about the comments before arriving, and had no idea why an innocent bus station can have such bad reviews, but now I cant agree more about the comments. They insist on charging me extra 20$ because I bought ticket for my boyfriend (who ride with me), for thats considered a gift ticket. So let alone the difficulty in conversation, why on earth should we charge a gift receiver extra money for printing a goddamn ticket?
Waiting here currently and its one of few times I have felt compelled to write a Google review. The lady at the front desk is extremely condescending, incompetent and rude. She should be fired if this station cares at all about the quality of its service and its reputation as I see many other reviews on this same topic.
Purchased a ticket on my phone in the station, then was alerted there was an earlier bus available. Ticket agent couldnt offer a refund/transfer, referred me to their support line. Thirty painful minutes later, the support line told me only the Ithaca station could refund me - I was already on my bus having left the station.Avoid Greyhound.

2015-05-24The staff at the Ithaca Greyhound Station is incompetent and rude. I had already purchased a ticket online, and the worker at the front desk told me quite nastily that my ticket didnt mean anything unless I had also called in to reserve a seat on the bus. When I called the bus company to confirm what the worker told me, the person I spoke with said that they had never heard of a problem like that before and that it was common knowledge that the Ithaca Station staff are completely clueless. When the bus driver showed up, he told me that there was nothing wrong with my ticket at all and let me on the bus. The bus ride itself was just fine, but avoid interaction with the station staff at all costs.

2017-08-13Every single time someone visits I warn them to print tickets at home. The woman at the counter is insufferable, and seems to love stressing out passengers who dont know if they will be able to get on the bus.How she keeps her job is beyond me. Shame on Greyhound and the city of Ithaca for having such a vital service be run so poorly.

2016-07-30I am grateful to have a bus station in Ithaca, but the lady at this counter treated me like the scum beneath her feet. I asked her politely whether or not my Adirondack trail ways ticket that I had printed from home was the same as the greyhound trail ways she was announcing and she rolled her eyes a and said yes in the most condescending way possible. It costs nothing to be a decent human being and shes getting paid to be mean

2017-09-17Wow... I have never been treated so poorly by a customer service person it my entire life. I also watched the worker abuse most people that came through her line. The older gray haired lady that works here truly makes this world a worse place met alone the bus station. She should be fired.

2017-11-26Have not had problems at any other bus terminal. Poor service, rude staff. Also they should get with the times, why do they make such a fuss about printing out your ticket? Support better alternatives like ourbus when you can

2018-05-31I have never been treated so poorly in life. The woman at the front desk is RUDE and STUPID and USELESS. I saw reviews two years ago saying the same thing. Why don’t they just fire her? There are definitely much better choices like OurBus or campus to campus.

2017-04-07I have to use my replacement ticket on the 21st to go to NYC. I am so anxious about something going wrong, Im trying to arrange it now from Florida 2 wks prior. I dont know why they cant get some reliable employees in this bus station. I thought I was the only one having issues EVERY TIME I go here it cost me another ticket either going to or back from NYC. The customer service rep even said she has had issues with this office in Ithaca....what shame. There is no reason for this ongoing reputation. WISH ME LUCK. Trying to schedule my free tix to NYC...I will update good or bad once I survive the trip.

2015-06-29The service is not credible and is outrageous. I booked a ticket at 4:30am to the airport from a small town where no taxi is available. No bus showed up for no reason nor notice in advance. I missed my flight because of that. The customer service line is always occupied all the time and of no use. I WILL NEVER TAKE GREYHOUND AGAIN!!!

2014-05-09I am sorry for you. No one should have to endure such rude customer service as displayed at the Ithaca bus terminal. If youre destination is NYC, spend a little extra and take campus to campus. Well worth the premium.

2019-07-18This lady that working at the facility has no customer service smh I went their on July 18 -2019 @ 8am she was very rude if I know the area more and know where else sell tickets I wouldn’t walk out . I really feel so embarrassed smh . She seems to have domestic problem and she take it to work !!
