I love stop in shop . buy for years. love the sales everything is fresh. But I give zero to the meat department. the employees there very very nasty and rude. with all the customers. I want to get ribes. the employee said to me no. take it home like that because I am not cutting for. the 3 employee are nasty are lazy. I tell can u cut the turkey nech the employee said no I cut my self at home. I report them still there. I miss sandra she was the best in employee there.. All customers need to report the employee work in the meat department.
THIS SITE IS NORMALLY WELL STOCKED, CLEAN. THE WORKERS NICE AND VERY PROFESSIONAL.
It was great going there with the family! Great choices of food and the prices are fare!! We bought some pre made chicken tenders and when we were eating them they was kinda hard!! Besides all of that!! I like the super market. 5🌟 if the chicken tenders werent so hard!! 😂

Havent been there in 10 months since Covid-19 started. Today the store was packed with people as expected but also fully stocked with fresh produce so I was able to get all my groceries and more. I was surprised by the level of organization they now have in place for the checkout process. Not only did this ensure that social distancing was being followed but also led to a fast, smooth running checkout.
A great place to find quality foods and major brands at affordable prices. The aisles are wide and easy to navigate. Staff is friendly and eager to help. Be sure to say to Marty, the stores autonomous robot that checks for spills, debris in the aisles and other safety concerns.
The staff was helpful and the lines moved quickly. They had almost everything on my list (except for the gingerbread mix and the Mrs. Dash!!). My only real complaint is that none of the 3 stores in my area have Fancy Feast cat food in the creamy variety. There is more than the one flavor they carry. You should order different ones. I know Im only one person but I can hope!!!
Prices are good. Food is fresh and can always find what youre looking for. Produce is good. Some items are bleh. Best part is the rewards card. USE IT! makes a huge difference. Customer service is always good.
I love this store especially, after Pathmark went away.
Go to Shop Rite. This place fell off. Un acomodating and incompetent employees. Left a whole bag here because the cashier never gave it to me. Tried getting credit for that and I was met with opposition. Wont be shopping here again

I got a lot of nice sales but forgot my chocolate on the counter after the lady scanned my 2 candy bars. I forgot to pick them up and put them in my bag. They were suppose to be a treat for my mother but when I got home I remembered that I didnt pick up them up off the counter. Dam!
This location is one of two that serves a large community of really decent people and they carry a multitude of product which is very pleasing to see not to mention the environment is well kept.

From my experience the store is very nice to visit. There are times I will go into the store midafternoon and certain shelves are empty and I find myself going to shoprite because they are always fully stock
My children cleaned me out of my snacks when they visited for a few days so I had to restock my snack game.
I love this store,almost everything can be found,fruits,vegetables and seafoods.A variety of drinks and munchies.The staff are also very helpful and kind.
It has what I need. The shoppers are in a bubble and have no situational awareness, though.Get what you need and get out.Wear your mask properly, not like a chin-guard.Its still a pandemic.Be safe, smart, and most of all, respectful of others, people.
Always my go to place to shop. They have mostly everything.. Never had any issues with the staff or anything that I bought. Nice size produce section, endless varieties of soooo many different things to choose from and always have amazing sales. Better when you upload your coupons on the app prior to going. I like to check the circular online or via app too, it helps a lot once you get there. Overall, its good for picking something up quick on the go or just taking your time strolling and looking..
I hadnt visited this Stop & Shop previously. We were out of towners on a business trip. My one and only visit here was to pick up an item and leave. My husband was doing business at the Peoples Bank inside this store.This is a huge store. If you are unfamiliar with its layout; it can be frustrating. I am handicapped so walking distances presents its own challenges. No motorized carts were available or functioning.Restrooms werent conveniently located. But I will say the ladies room was clean, bright, fresh and well attended.Unable to locate the item I was seeking, I finally located a stock person who took me directly to the natural food section and the item I wanted. So THANK YOU for the assistance and great customer service.I opted for self-checkout. BIG MISTAKE. I must have gotten the one scanner that kept repeating, Your item isnt scanning... assistance is required. Help is on the way.Help never came. I had one item and waited for another self-checkout to free up. They were all constantly busy and moving. I was afraid to step in front of the wrong person with so many customers looking annoyed or put out.When I left, that one self-checkout was still flashing. That was 15 minutes with no assistance to clear the error.
I tried calling to ask a simple question about additional services they offer before making the trip there, I was met with some ghetto employee who thought it was cute to hang up the phone. Sounds like they don’t like their job too much and couldnt be bothered this morning.
It was fine. I had to buy a bunch of fried chicken at the last minute so I took the packages if the 8 pieces...the gentle said your supposed to order it if I needed that much. I told him I forgot to call in advance but he reassures me that I could have called even if it was last minute. I appreciated the fried chicken is so good.
Its a good supermarket. It has a pharmacy inside. Its nice and clean. The staff are friendly enough. Ive been going for years and never had an issue. Even though the last time I couldnt find a basket. It worked out in the end as I really needed a cart in the end.
This location is a good place to come if youre looking for a calm atmosphere. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. Everything is always clean but there is usually a bit of a wait, at the registers but not something too dramatic. It is a decent place to do some shopping
I originally gave them 5 stars but I gotta knock it down to 3... I went in there about an hr ago after a 4month absence and the PRICES of the SIMPLEST things are through the roof. I bought today the usual things I normally buy n my bill was $50 higher. 😩
Very clean. Usually not too busy. I always come here to find items that arent in stock at the Bay Plaza store.It it were closer, Id make this my default store.
To be so big and yet feel so empty is weird. The meat section was surprisingly small. The best part was the bakery. The muffins was delicious, especially the pina colada flavor.
Our cashier was Brian a young man no older than 18.. Well very helpful Nd mannerisms from first hello.. He also needed prayer becuz he told me his heart was heavy after a phone call he over heard.. I was calming a younger cuzzin down but not realizing calming my cashier down as well.. God works over time.. Great experience
In local area one of 2 S &S since Pathmark is gone from nearby Bay Plaza. Its my parents closest supermarket. Not mine. Place needs refresh. Selection is good, serves the local Bronx community. So I think some premium product which is is in suburban stores are not here. I would be able to find enough to keep me satisfied in general because it is a large store. Also it look like the structure way up high - open steel joists etc.is dirty.
This is a good Stop and Shop. I like the managers. Very nice and personable. Very down to earth and help you with whatever is needed.Pharmacists is a VERY NICE GUY (respectfully saying)!! Very helpful and sweet. He helps, even to the point of going to the isles and helping you with any medication you need. Very aware of peoples needs. I really have nothing bad to say.However some of the cashiers are a little bit immature and have a little bit of an attitude. But all in all is a good store. Nice people
Clean and organized with lots of stock and choices. Prices are pretty good as well. Parking lot in the mall is free parking. Sales are good, the food is usually fresh. Staff is usually helpful and always friendly. Bakery items are plentiful. There is a pharmacy in the store plus a Peoples Bank.
The inventory at the Stop & Shop spectacular. The Manager and customer service reps our very helpful. The selection here is very diverse for this community and the pricing is moderate. When they have sales and run out the manager is very well accommodating and quick to offer a substitution or a rain check.
Love this store , it is better then the one in my own neighborhood with fresher fruits and vegetables
The store has improved over time. They may have new management although I have never really seen the `old` management. Plenty of parking space. Relatively clean and shelves are stocked. Just one small gripe-I wish they would put more short ladders out for us short folks. It can be difficult to reach the top shelf especially when the products are further back on the top shelf. I personally try to remember to bring one of those long `grab-it` sticks， the kind with the curved rubber ends and the handle you squeeze to close the ends to pick things up with.
They had everything I was looking for no crowd well it was 8:30AM
Its a pretty good store with somewhat high prices. Very good selection of food items. Its a shame that the Peartree Mall location in Co-Op City no longer has a fresh fish section. They used to have a very good one. The workers used to be very friendly and helpful but not anymore. At this location they are horrible. They often scream at each other like children and frequently scream out curses . They have no respect for parents with children and any shopper for that matter. I dont know how the management permits this behavior from workers.
All I could say that I love stop & shop they have nice prices and I enjoy buying my meat and other things that I need they are always have good quality of food thats my place

I love this Stop & Shop l am practically in this supermarket everyday. The service is excellent The staff is friendly the food is fresh their vegetables the fruits you name It is one of the best supermarkets here in The Bronx located in Co-Op City .Please whenever you get a chance go to this supermarket. This is the 1st Stop & Shop in Co Op City, and its a good one (I may even dare to say this is the 1st one in the Bronx). My only issue is that the self service machines are almost always having issues...when Im there, otherwise its the same good place to go to get fresh fruits, veggies, and flowers (theyre like a commodity in this area). I recommend going to this location.
The staff was curtious and receptive to courtesy. I have no complaints at this time. It is my opinion that Joy set the tone of a higher level of professionalism. Thanks to all the staff..
I went to buy flowers for my wife. But they did not a florist on site. Which I wanted to arrange a bouquet.
Its too big. There are no clear indicators for where things are, and the prices were the same as my local c town. Nothing super about that. One of the workers was very helpful, but there were only 2 checkout lanes open. 2 open lanes in a store the size of a football field? 😕

Like the store and the prices. Although a few of the people at the deli department are rude and dont have any customer service skills. They make the shopping experience downright unpleasant. I stop buying anything from the Deli as not to have to get into am argument with them and to keep me from punching one of them in the mouth
Hate the place. Carts dont work. Roast beef sign says $13.49, but scale is set to $13.99. Lots of workers, but too many not working or wandering aimlessly. Go elsewhere, it will close soon.Ok. The check out person was great.

Cool but not enough cashiers lines were packed but being I had only 5 items I did self check out but that caused me even after swiping my stop n shop card to miss out on the discount they had on my strip steak machine charged me $11:43 when the discount tag clearly said $7.91 I didnt feel like going to get someone so I just left but they do have great products.
Love everything besides the racist/insulting grocery manger named Alex I believe. (Update March 7th 2020): This store has horrible code check, meaning there are out of date products randomly found. Some I have personally seen over a whole year old. Years ago they did have a young man doing code check and the food was fine but that was about 5 years or so ago. Better off with Walmart or Fairway!
The lines are usually always long and slow and instead of opening more registers so we can pay for our items fast and get out, they like to close registers which sucks and contributes to the long line waiting. The employees at the register should move at a fast pace and make the waiting time less instead of talking, staring and scanning items like a turtle.
The supermarket is a dream come true for me. It always has what I want and it has even more than what I want. It always has new products that are very exciting and the staff is courteous the aisles are wide and I just wish I lived across the street from it LOL!
Counters are dirty. Donuts are half bitten and touched. And the workers dont know anything. Food dont look clean.double check your produce, I have found dead mosquitos in the lettuce.
Always fully stocked, flowers are always fresh and lines are usually short. Only problem for me is that they never have enough carts. I usually have to wait for someone to give me their cart or walk around the parking lot looking for one.
The sales are generally very good I wish this particular Stop &Shop had more electronic carts ( I call them zoom zoom carts ) most of the staff is friendly most of the time all and all its a good place to shop 👍🏽
This Stop N Shop feels more like a neighborhood supermarket than a chain supermarket. Prices are okay despite thee pandemic.
Wanted boneless skinless chicken breasts but only family packs available. Too much for two. Some sale prices were good, but regular prices are higher than in other stores.
They ALWAYS seem badly under-staffed. Their self-service registers are not available most times, except for one or two. Today they only had one self-service register working, and, of course, ...it only accepts credit or debit cards. No cash. This, while there are 3 other self-service registers shut down. To top this off, they only had 3 cash registers open, which is the norm, which means there is always a line, and a wait at this Stop & Shop. I try really hard to avoid this supermarket. The worst Stop & Shop I have experienced.
Love this stop&shop but there is always a but i dont like the cashiers well some of them in the front theres a lady called evelyn and shes a very rude lady she want costumers to do her job! And more if its wic ... Now i like a lady with last name Figueroa but i think she to sweet....Young ladys in the front be disrespecting i think she can give more of her but alittle respect in the floor can be good...
The disadvantage with franchise chain establishment is that you have other sister establishments to compare too. This location does not measure up to the other Stop & Shop location I have visited. The deli staff came across as cold & indifferent. The quality of product & services was not in part to the other Stop & Shop I have visited,

The prices are ok but the food quality is low and you have to be careful because they have a tendency of putting the outdated intem in front. Also make sure you check your items before leaving the store

I find it hard to believe that this supermarket chain spends the millions of dollars that it does on advertising and TV commercials and then have this particular location not follow in the examples that it is presenting with said advertising and commercials.Om my last visit, I grabbed a container of Simply Orange orange juice with calcium and noticed the the expiration date had passed by two weeks. I checked another one and it was expired also. I left six containers of juice that were all expired on the floor. An employee checking for outdated items seemed unbothered by my actions.On May 18th I returned to buy a few things and saw a quart of milk that expired on May 17th and noticed that the Pillsbury Crescent Rolls had an expiration date of May 11th. I was so upset and vowed to never return.This location needs immediate follow up by not store managers but by higher ups who can get this location up to par with the way we are led to believe it should be with its commercials and advertising.I will not be returning to this location and most likely will be looking for a supermarket that lives up to the standards they are selling us, the clients, with their advertising and TV commercials.I wish it was possible to rate 0 stars.
There are two Stop and Shops in this area. This is hands down the better of the two. Roomy, great selection and never crowded.
Horrible customer service on the floor, stock boys are always nasty!! The ppl on the register are nasty always, and the couresty desk is equally as nasty ! Only 2 or 3 decent ppl working in this place...omg and the aisles are filled w/ garbage!! Stop and shop NEEDS more fresh fruits and veggies...just cause its the bronx doesnt mean we dont want good quality service and produce!

The stop n shop theres one in co-op city. And theres a good one on waters place. Right across the street from 1695 eastchester rdbronx NY. There asubway store and a wholesale liquor store on the corner you can take the bus bx21 bus. U can take the bx31 bus there too. Both directions..
Wide variety of stuff but I dont like buying meat from this location. Its not fresh to me.
I just purchased lamb chops at this location..$15 wasted. When I got it home the meat smelled like rotten eggs. I cooked one chop and it smelled even worse..The chicken also had an expiration date for 6/8/2017 I passed on that for the lamb. Ill never buy meat from here again.Ill stick to place that cares about the patrons.
Eh, Its okay. The lines can be very very long. Service is okay and the food is usually in good condition. Since Path Mark closed, the prices at Stop & Shop increased significantly. I suggest using Aldi instead.

I have great experiences at Stop & Shop via it serves a few rare food types that major supermarkets dont like Caribbean type of food items. I also like this location via a Redbox machine is located inside. I have seen many movies that were in the movies 3 months prior on DVD via this Redbox. So after grocery shopping I am leaving to go home with a DVD and smiles.I the lines are very long at this location. Dont you ever think you are going anywhere fast here. Really trust me. For the last few months I have noticed that Stop & Stop doesnt have Mexican Avocados anymore, dont try to fool us with Avocados from Peru, they just dont taste the same, they are watery instead of oily.If we pay for quality we want quality.
I went today to get a cake for my sons birthday party at school. Im not a picky person, after all its for a bunch of 4 & 5 year olds. They are going to eat it regardless. The lady that was helping, or rather not helping, did not greet us at all. In fact she walked over as if we were bothering her. When I asked if she by chance had any cakes in back that had boy colors for frosting, she told me we should go to Pathmark or BJs because they dont have any. At that point, I consider leaving but I have never been to Stop & Shop before and Ive heard good things about the cakes so I decide to make it work.Being that I was short on time, I told her I would take the graduation cake that was blue and green flowers but asked if she could take the graduation deco off. She shook her head to reply yes. I then asked if she could write on the cake and wrote down Happy birthday Amari. She asked if it mattered what color frosting. I said no, just whatever looks good with the cake. She walks away.She comes back a few minutes later with PINK frosting. Mind you, I realize I said it doesnt matter but since when does pink go with blue and green? Then she proceeded to remind me of what I said and then took the cake back to tell the other lady in the back there was a problem with the pink letters. The second lady sucked her teeth, rolled her eyes at me and mumbled under her breath. The second lady then proceeded to write over top of the pink frosting with blue frosting.I walked out.Thanks Stop & Shop for hiring sub-par employees who will ruin the experience and have me never patron your store again.

Please be very careful with the raw meats that they sell for the last 6 months I stopped buying raw meat here because every time I picked up a piece of meat it was dated the same day I was in the store and that was every time which is scary please be careful
I love stop & shop but the lines in this place are ridiculous! All the employees are slow, out of all the registers they have only 2 or 3 of them are open with about 15 people on each line!! Dont come to this stop & shop if you are in a hurry!!

The worse ever right now just getting off from work only 2 registers open and over 20 people waiting on each line spoke with manager and all he could say was there is nothing he could do about it and went right back in his office. I give this stop and shop a thumbs down.

As far as the supermarket is concerned I give it 5 Stars Ive been shopping there since they opened up Stop & Shop at Peartree Mall the only thing I am not happy about is the Riff Raffs that hang out in the front pedaling DVDs or begging for money

If you go after 11 Ami guess you think get help but before 11:00 a.m. dont expect too much from anything or anyone I was at the deli I was trying to get a rotisserie chicken and some fried chicken And the people were rude from the person that was frying the chicken to pricing the rotisserie chickens she acted like I owed her a job or a favor Im sorry Im the customer Im there to buy something tell me its gonna be a while and I will walk away and I will go to a shop rite or someplace else

This supermarket doesn’t have enough carts for there customers and about 10 baskets. How do you expect your customers to shop? Horrible!

I tried calling to ask a question at the seafood department, but the woman that answered my call just hung up. I again called and got customer service and was put on hold. I just hung up.

2022-05-01I love shopping at stop and shop.. I go in for one or two items and I end up leaving with an overflowing shopping cart with loads of food .. love to buy in bulk..love the quality of their poultry..beef..salmon if they have a sale ..you have to go the same day or else theyll run out!. I love to shop when there is a sale..

2021-01-26The store was fully stocked with food, masks, handsanitizer, paper towel, toilet paper and antibacterial soap. There was no lactaid 2% milk. The store was clean and followed social distancing guidelines. I didnt go into the aisle with the cleaners because it was empty.

2022-06-30Pretty clean and mostly orderly. Sometimes very busy. Doesnt have the modern convenient mobile apps working here. You cannot use scan it. It does have free parking in the attached payment lot. The food is usually fresh. Sales especially with the app are good and they app keeps the coupons for you. It now allows pick up.

2021-11-11So, yesterday I went to stop and shop, the young man that cash me out was so pleasant , we actually share the same birthday , he even came around and help me put the 20 lbs. rice on my cart, that what my husband would have done had he not pass away, I got water lucky me , the reason for the 4 star there was not one plastic bags for the vegetable or fruits, I cant throw fruits/ veg in the cart without a bags, now tomorrow i have to go to Boston road to get my fruits and veg. Extra trip, i guess we have to start brining bags for veg too.

2018-07-27This is my store to shop for what I need when I go and shop here I spend a lot. This trip was enough for the month. The workers are friendly and knowledgeable about some food in their area and they are helpful. I do wish they have more variety in the produce ile like in fairway but the selection is fine. I will be back next month.
