Guitar Center in other cities:
Dont often post reviews but I have to sing the praises of this store! I have been coming here since I was 7 years old (bought my first electric guitar here) and have been a customer ever since. While some employees have stayed and some have gone, there is always a kind person here to help you out. The management is awesome (shoutout to Danny) and the employees are extremely knowledgeable and good people to know. If you need help with an electric guitar, Pat and Matt are your guys. Great store with a great vibe all around.
Recently tried to return a Zoom camera that i received as a gift 2 months ago. Just got around to getting to Guitar Center and was told it cant be returned. NEW NEVER USED IN BOX. Told cameras are now a 2 week return policy. REALLY???? Never using Guitar Center again.
Fantastic store, loaded with music needs, I took my bass guitars to be set up. The repair guys are great, great service. I highly recommend this music store.Update: Im sorry to say I spoke too soon, both of my bass guitars had to be setup again only this time I went elsewhere, the original setup over a short period of time bowed my necks, if I went to Chris in the first place, I would have saved 200 bucks.I just saw the Guitar Center response to my review , they added insult to injury with their ridiculous response. If I was taken care of, which I wasnt, I wouldnt have to write negatively, I paid for setup on two bass guitars, both were not proper setups, they couldnt get it right on two, by the way I had them setup months apart.....taken care of, really???Highly disappointed.
My husband frequently shops here. He loves the place, great prices and great customer service. All the employees are helpful and knowledgeable of their products and services. They have a wide assortment of inventory, and if they dont have it on hand, theyll order it and ship it to you (I think for free). They have a wide range of instruments and all the necessary accoutrements - moderately priced (for beginners) to higher priced (professional quality). If you dont see what youre looking for there, you can check out their website. They too, are extremely helpful and couldnt be nicer. My husband always raves about how nice they are - it must be a great company to work for - to have so many great employees.
Traveled an hour with tolls to look at several specific guitars. All the ones I were interested in were locked up. Apparently I’d need to come back an hour before closing to have them unlocked so I could try them out and ask questions.I can’t help but feel that race was a factor. Two other non-melanated customers were sampling hardware from the locked section, including one from my shortlist. I can’t imagine they were going to have to wait another three hours to see more guitars. Overall, a very disappointing visit. Thanks for wasting my time GC!
Had my Christmas bonus burning a hole in my pocket. Was ready to buy a Gretsch Jet, but not one person was interested in helping me. The only person that was interested in the customers was the gentleman at the door. The others were just standing in a group talking to each other. I guess Ill share my Christmas bonus with Sweetwater.
Very very helpful and professional! Danny was so patient and guided me through my purchase from start to finish - he had everything I needed and suggested some items I would have had to go back and get !I don’t usually write reviews but guitar center in Westbury was a great experience!
From my first visit five years ago for my first guitar to my fourth guitar purchased today, I am impressed not only by their knowledge but also by a low-key none pressured attitude. They dont push a particular guitar. They listen very carefully to customer needs and recommend guitars based on fit not on price. I have never been disappointed with a purchase and the service warranty GC offers is unbelievably generous. If my wife ever lets me buy another guitar, it will only be from Guitar Center
UPDATE: GUITAR CENTER CORPORATE OFFICES DID RECTIFY MY ISSUE WITH THIS STORE. It did take a month, but I am thankful to Guitar Center Corporate for doing the right thing. From what I can understand, the stores lessons departments work like an independent fiefdom. 5 Stars to the corporate division, but my review stands for this store. In my opinion, my treatment was unnecessary.Part of Original Review: Really crummy customer loyalty. I began playing guitar last year and I had used Guitar Center as my go to place. In the course of this year, I purchased two guitars, a Marshall valve amp, effects boxes and misc. items from Guitar Center.I decided to try some lessons and purchased 4 lessons on April 17 and then Guitar Center automatically charged me again on April 21, for a total of 8 lessons. I was scheduled for one lesson per week on Tuesdays. In the middle of May, I realized I would be very busy in June so I wanted to put my lessons on hold but continue to complete the lessons I already had purchased. But the manager said no, you need to cancel your account and finish the three lessons by the end of the month. The problem was there was only one Tuesday left in the month, but I still had three lessons on my account.I do not understand why he would not allow me to continue to finish the lessons I had already purchased and was scheduled for. To me this seems like a scam. By his logic when I purchased the first 4 lessons in the third week of April, I was suppose to finish all 4 by the end of the month? The employees are great here but I will be avoiding this location in the future.
If you have a complicated order or return, go when Paul is working!I had a complicated return and Paul assisted me with ease. The return process (damaged guitar from their sister company Musicians Friend) was surprisingly easy yet thorough. I really appreciate Pauls help and his willingness to continue to help us with our music needs in the future. Great experience!
The sound department is really good. The rest of the store is dreadful, particularly in the drum section. No help after standing there waiting to make a purchase (item in hand) and the cashier walks away to use the bathroom without saying anything. The entire store used to be really good and now, I have no desire to shop there.
Great service from the staff. It wasnt too busy when I went, so I was served pretty quickly. Theres someone at the entrance asking for the reason of your visit, as well as making sure youre wearing a mask. The guitars are still available to demo. Great shopping experience even during the pandemic.
I had a nightmare here at Carl Place Center. I ordered somethings here, and waited for almost two months. However, regardless of my intentions, the order was canceled, and I asked for a refund, but they said my credit was gone. They blamed me for thinking I used the credit, but I never used it, so I asked them to find out what happened.I waited for almost 10 days, but there was no call to me., and I sent a message, but again, no response came. I ended up going to the Manhattan Center to ask for help, and it worked out there.Because of their mistake, the order I ordered was canceled, the credit was gone, and I was misunderstood. I have never received an apology from Cal place center staff for this. Most of the staff at Cal Place Center have always been rude.(Except for Adam and Eric) I bought an instrument for almost $10,000 here, but they didnt treat me as a regular customer and rather ignored me.I think theyre like snobs who only know money. Even if its rude, I wish they could do their job well, but they cant even handle things properly.I was hurt and stressed a lot because of this, but at least Im glad the Manhattan Center staff worked this outMost of the Manhattan Center staff are friendly and still do the job well. So, in the future, I will only go to the Manhattan Center.
This guitar center used to be very good, but now it’s like they don’t really care. Barley have anything in stock when you ask for something. Best they can do is floor models it seems and they’re always scratched and dinged up. I wish they just cared about the customers more.
Staff is simply unfriendly. These stores wont exist anymore because all you need to do is order what you want from Amazon. These people cant help you, they dont want to and theres really no reason to go there....Show them how their attitude pays off by not going. See you somewhere else...
We went there a few minutes before closing, my husband! had to search for the staff and the guy that helped us was not too welcoming. After our purchase on our way out a guy stood at their front desk instead of instrusting us to push the door its unlock he just looked at us waiting for a staff to let us out!
Not like it used to be...I was with my daughter looking around. Was asking about a product to a nice young lady working there, then the manager comes around barking about putting the mask over my nose...really. Anyway he was rude about it and turned me off. Plus if he only knew they dont work...lol Besides the point, he was impersonal. Sam Ash was our next stop.
There are great mood in a store but only one thing I have bad experienced His name is Dan who is working there he was lude and charge me what I did not buy it of course I got refund from him but he said anything apologize and let me go. I saw everyone else so nice communication with a customers. But He was only parson like Im the Rock!! by himself Lol
Guitar Center is one of the best place to go for your musical instruments choices. They are beautiful and of good quality. In this place they offer musical classes too. The agents are very helpful and kind. It is a very great pleasure for to pass there today.I will come back soon to buy one of my favorite musical instrument.Bravo guys.
Being a guitarist and guitar enthusiast, guitar center was like heaven to me. From their vast selection of instruments to their friendly, helpful staff, guitar center is still the happiest place on earth. I bought a new amp last week. Not only was it on clearance for a VERY low price, but Matt, the employee who helped me pick out the amp, even through in about 50 dollars worth of items for free with the amp (they didnt come with it). If I could, Id give guitar center six stars.
I’m not musically inclined but my husband is and every time I’ve gone here w/ him, the staff has been super friendly, helpful and welcoming. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by all of the rooms and choices when you first walk in but the staff is there to make navigating your way around very easy and much less intimidating. I highly recommend.
As usual, very few Lefty guitars in stock. I went to buy a music book that was marked $19.99 but it rang up $24.99. The cashier noticed the discrepancy, but when he called the manager over, the manager said it was the higher price. Needless to say I didnt buy it and ordered it on Amazon when I got home. The Amazon price was $17.99 and Ill get it in 2 days. Terrible customer service.
I live near Boston, the Guitar Center I purchased my bass amp from was in New York. I used economy shipping expecting to get the item in a week or so. The amplifier was sitting on my front porch the NEXT DAY!!!!It was packaged great and sounds even better. Good show Guitar Center Carle Place!
Have been going there for over 5 years, , never had a problem with return policy. Matt very experienced , honest, and knowledgeable. Vinny the manager takes an interest to work with you. I am a serious buyer and they do accommodate as best as they can. When your ready to buy, give Matt a shout. I do recommend it
I came in around 2 PM today, and I had my eye on trying a couple of guitars with a friend to add to my collection. I asked the clerk to help me get down a guitar, but he was too busy chatting with someone, and didnt treat me like a real customer, just because of my young appearance. My friend and I played for a couple of minutes before being told that we shouldnt be jamming and that now out of all times is the worst. Using Covid as an excuse for not wanting to hear us play is not a good excuse, especially since I want to be able to test the full range of something before making a purchase. How unreasonable and nasty, especially making me wait for so long just because you wanted to finish a personal conversation. The only redeeming factor was the young guy at the door was relatively polite. Guess what? Both my friend and I are well connected with local musicians, and we will never recommend anyone to this store. Absolutely disgusting attitude, I went straight to Sam Ash down the block and purchased what I needed there.
Buyer beware. Broken or damaged new and used guitars sold at new or mint used prices.. Sometimes you can get a good deal on the used guitars. But you need to know at what you are looking at and looking out for. I wanted an old Ibanez roadstar that they had. I asked about 4 times to play it but was unable to find a free employee. I wanted to buy it anyway. ( I love old ibanez guitars, play one and you will see). But there were a few issues like replaced locking nut blocks that are the wrong size , missing trem bar and a few small issues. I have bought at least 8 used guitars, 5 new with amps and other things from them before. they always worked with me , at least a little. But this guitar was overpriced for the condition and they said they wouldnt work with me. I am a little disappointed. Lol. I guess the rules have changed on the used equipment. I would wait to buy a guitar from them until the rules have changed back. I will never buy a guitar that I have not played before I bought it.
Great location, friendly and knowledgeable staff,Really felt the staff was just trying to get me the right products and not pressuring me into a sale. Ask for Kurt, you won’t be disappointed.Great selection, priced fair. Would recommend to family friends and coworkers.
Been going here for a few months now and I love this place. They have a huge selection of keyboards and guitars plus they frequently have sales. Staff is nice and whenever I find a product I want it takes about 2 minutes to purchase. They once didnt have a keyboard I wanted in new condition so they let me take it off the shelf and buy it for 15% off. I got a $400 keyboard for only $340! Highly recommended.
Before I entered the store I was stopped by an associate asking can I help you? I said what I needed then he replied we dont carry that here, its all guitar related but you can enter to see for yourself I walked in and found exactly what I needed. funny how he was the one who checked me out and I told him jokingly you should tell your manager that you were turning away his business no good customer service
I went to trade in a guitar and they told me they couldnt accept because it wasnt in good shape to be traded in, the guitar was basically brand new. Also some of the employees arent exactly the nicest, they can be very judgemental. For some reason every time I went to try and get my guitar setup they said they were always backed up, they only had one technician and that I had to leave my guitar for a full week. Other than that its a huge store with alot of selection regarding everything music, just that things can get pricey very quickly. Also this location has a good amount of parking.
Marty was fast and efficient in taking care of a 1977 Gibson Les Paul that I sold. I got a reasonable amount back and Im a very satisfied customer. I always recommend this Guitar Center and Marty as a sales man because he is a professional and a great and friend ly person as well. His customer service and character is unparrelled. Do yourself a favor and visit Guitar Center in Carle Place and see Marty, the best. Thank you.
Tried to get help and assistance to purchase a keyboard, very unprofessional people at the location. After 20 mins of waiting, an African American person comes with an attitude to “assist” and was not really interested on helping me out.He then takes a seat and starts sleeping and snoring, I’m not kidding. He slept in front of me while I was browsing the keyboards.Zero knowledge about pianos and very weird and uncomfortable visit to this place. Not recommended.
Convenient to buy music gear, but youre not gonna be treated like a artist, or even that you matter in some small way in the cosmic equation. Youre a customer buying product under their corporate guidelines. The majority of Mom & Pop stores are vanishing dinosaurs and along with their demise that Special and Magic Something that brought you and your friends back and made it more than just a shop to buy stuff. Convenient, Ill rate it three stars.
I went in having an idea what I wanted to get but I was hoping for help on the subject. The man that helped me acted condescending, and didn’t really offer any help. I was there for a total of three minutes and the guy told me to come back when I know what I want. The other staff were really nice but I ended up getting nothing and being more confused than I was before. Instead of help I got a quick lecture. So I guess don’t go if you don’t have any experience cause their “help” leads to a waste of gas money
Very unprofessional and neglecting repair guy SeanI went to this place to get repaired my Yamaha APX900 acoustic. The sound pickup was broken and this guy, Sean and I requested him to replace the original sound pick up component with a new one. He said he will order the part to Yamaha and the whole repair process will take 2 weeks. He took the order request in 09-17-19. I waited a week and 2 days since I had not received a call to him. So I called the guitar center and talked to him if he got the part yet. He said he did not order the item yet because he was busy doing other stuffs. That was his answer without explaining further or saying sorry, I forgot. So he said again he will give a call to Yamaha to order the original part in 2 days. I had not had a call from him again. So I actually went and talked to him if he is going to still repair my guitar. He said yes and he will order the part soon and returned my guitar with the case so that I keep the guitar until he receives the sound pick up part. He even gestured OKAY hand sign with awkward attitude. And that was it. He never called me again, keeps making his customer waiting and waiting. The reason I wrote here is to inform other customers that this guy Sean is very irresponsible, not professional and neglecting his customer. Very bad experience from a guy, who humiliates a customer.
I love guitar center but everything takes forever. Even a simple transaction is several minutes watching a salesman punch things into a computer and you just stand there. A major purchase takes hours. Also, they don’t know anything about their used gear. Especially over the phone, they don’t clean it but mark it up for a ridiculous profit. All they do is take the average value for trade and mark up about 40 percent as a salesman has told me that their profit margin must be a certain amount.
Watch out for the white guy with long white hair and glasses. Judgemental af. The moment I asked about the used gear and asking for opinion from supposedly customer representative to have some guidance as I was buying it for someone. Did he helped? No. He has no interest at helping me at all. Sends me away to someone who also send me back to him. Pretty much have to do my own search on my phone. I gave up and left. People who work here arent helpful to customers who actually need help in buying stuff. Im just gonna go back to online shopping, way better customer service.
Definitely lacks customer service. Was there for the 2nd time in 2 weeks & no one noticed we were there. Previous visit couldnt pay for a capo, so we left. This visit we wanted a guitar stool no one else carried. 3 Reps kept busy right in front of us & kept leaving before we could say Hi. Finally, a Rep asked us if we were being helped, but no one in the store was being helped! We checked out & wont be back. Good luck getting assistance & checking out. Been going to this store for many years & have watched the decline. Sam Ash is down the block, Monster Music is in Levittown, far superior for your music needs.
The customer service is extremely disappointing. When spending money somewhere, you expect to be treated respectfully and tended to. One particular employee (whose name I will not mention) was extremely rude and dismissive. Had no interest in answering any questions and immediately said ask a technician. You would think at a place like guitar center, all the staff would be interested in giving simple advice like how to clean your guitar, etc. but not at all. They seem side tracked with their own personal things (like playing guitar while working) and act as if they are being bothered when a customer approaches them. Guitar Center will be hearing about this - and this will be my last time at this location. I regret coming here.
First of all the whole time in the store there were approximately 20 employees and were seemingly available and i did not receive assistance until i asked for one to come and scan my item and complete my purchase . The section where i picked out my keyboard was completely empty although the store had this much enployees available and i was required to grab the item myself from up high on the shelves. This was a $700 native instruments Komplete Kontrol keyboard. Then prior to checking out i had noticed that the box i had chosen was open and had fear that when i got home the serial code would already be used so i decided to grab another. Upon completing my purchase the cashier whom assisted me accidentally locked the drawer and did not know how to open it. He then attempts to call for backup . So I’m there patiently waiting for a few minutes and when somebody finally arrives he opens he drawer and it’s empty . Then he checks the one right next to where we were and that one also is empty . So he then goes all the way to the front of the store to grab my change which honestly took about 15 minutes . Then when i finally receive my products and get home the serial code for my keyboard was already used as well as the serial code for cubase included with my audio interface . I believe this is the worst customer experience i receiver ever.
This place is phenomenal!!! Devin in the drums/percussion section is incredibly insightful, friendly, and accommodating with anything ANY musician could possibly need. His product knowledge as well as efficiency is astounding. I would not buy gear from anywhere or anyone else! Thank you GC and Devin!
I generally had a positive experience here, however they ripped me off for used gear that I sold them. They told me one price, then they listed it for a higher price. When I spoke to the manager about getting a little more for it he was rude about it. They only care about the next customer, they dont care about returning customers.
If you go into a store and plan on spending $2000+ on a guitar you kinda have to take your time. But i went into this location and tried around 10 of them and at the price point i was looking for they lock up their guitars so i had to keep getting an employee to look at them, by tenth, an employee told me he was too busy and that if i was just their to play around i wasnt able to look at anymore guitars. what the hell, guitar center?
Guitar center for me has become a store where youd better know exactly what you want and need before you go there. Ive found there is only one or two sales people who know how to answer your questions, the rest have a lot of learning to do, which doesnt help you. To buy its fine. Just know what you want...
Ok so after 10 minutes of looking for a 13” Snare head, Paul in drum department bags a 14” by mistake. Not sure why that happened but ok it did. When I go to exchange it, I don’t get an “I’m sorry for your inconvenience” which is all I wanted. Once again, retail disappoints bc people have no ability nor sense to give amazing customer service! Once again I will shop amazon next time...
I like this store a lot... Everything is (almost) where you would expect it to be and laid out evenly. The only thing I wish is that they carry more guitar parts for customization. i.e. guitar necks, tremolo, blocks, or pickguards... For GC there is a whole plethora of gadgets that they can carry or order. Even Musicians Friend has a mild choice of selection. But who am I to suggest it lol... If I had a giant music chain it would be INFINITE 🤣. But they have a lot of great selection if you know where to look. AND when they have sales its great too. I got a lot of things at GC... Drums, Guitars, amps, Keys, Mics, PAs, and of course strings and sticks... I finally wised up and got the Stick Club card for 20 bucks... 5 dollars off a pair or bundle of sticks every month. Theres the same deal for strings as well. Thats next for me... Save 40 dollars a year... Pretty good deal if you axed me... Great store though.
Martin Acoustic issues handled amazingly!Guitar dept mgr Vesillios (sp?) handled my upgrading an acoustic guitar for my semi-pro singer/songwriter daughter. Issues regarding the Martin acoustic/electric I had purchased and the search thereafter to find the right guitar were handled seamlessly and professionally. I am a full-time veteran musician of 35+ years and was surprised and pleased to see old-school service and attentiveness to my daughters needs. cheers.
Dont get your guitar set up here, go to Sam Ash instead. I brought my acoustic in for set up, I told them to intonate my instrument and fix the loose hardware. I got it back, gave em my 50$. Now I just looked at the job and they didnt do jacksh*t to it, they only made it shiny, hardware is still loose and they didnt even put on the strings I requested. But, besides the set up and repairs being complete rubbish the selection is okay, the workers there are nice, but they dont have anything for the drums or bass section.
I really dont like going there unless I really have too, they seem a little preconcerned about their own personal going ons, then they give you this look like your bothering them.SamAsh is not too better but what other options do you have...unless you know exactly what you want, they have no idea about any of there products.
Worst staff ever went there today to buy new cymbal stands went to the drum dept and the staff member told me he has no knowledge about drum stuff but feel free to look around. When I asked for someone else to help with the sale he walked away so I asked if I should go to another music store he said I would.
Went to try and sell 2 guitars . A 2000 Gibson Firebird V and a 2013 Gibson Les Paul Studio w p90s. Both guitars are mint. They had the balls to offer me $400 for the Firebird with the usual excuse we have a clearance on them now. They are the biggest bunch of thieves on the planet. The only nice thing I have to say is the 18 year old sales guy was really nice. I wouldnt even buy strings there anymore
Ahhhhhh Man Its Crazy How This Use To Be My Favorite Store To Get All My Djing Gear,But Since Covid I Guess No One Really Cares To Assist You , The Store Isnt Busy At All But Everyone Pretends To Be Busy ,Either On There Personal Phones , Or Touching Boxes..I Wont Be Coming Here Anymore ....
Diggin it. Monster guitar selection, without the funny business that other stores and locations do.. what do I mean? Why buy a guitar that requires a luthier to fix fresh off of the display? They put real axes up, for real trial, with real play and are real nice about it. They dont steer you wrong; prices are fair; I saw a guitar I really shouldnt have purchased but once the guy said layaway/reserve I was like, I hate you, but thanks! and caved in LOL. All-around good guys/gals and a nice place to drop your bills!

2022-06-07Been coming here for a couple of years now with my son and its always a great experience. Recently dropped off my dusty old Ibanez that was my first electric I bought almost 30 yrs ago to the repair department to get set up and they basically restored it for me to get it playable and I was super pleased with the job Austin did. Plus he is great at getting back to you and letting you know what was happening each step. Great store, great staff. Thanks Austin!

2022-06-15Not the most personable staff, but they’re helpful and knowledgeable. I brought an instrument that needed tuning and they offer free in-store tuning, which is a pretty sweet deal these days. They’ve got a great selection of instruments, most of which you can try in store. Parking is plentiful and they’re in a convenient location near the highway.

2022-04-28I received the best customer service experience I could ever ask for. I returned a guitar case recently purchased which was damaged during travel and I had misplaced my receipt for proof of purchase. Meagan took the time to scroll through the system to retrieve a record of my purchase, exchanged the case for a brand new one and even honored a price reduction for a sale promotion currently on the case. Guitar Center is lucky to have someone with the patience and dedication of Meagan.

2022-06-07We did not have a good experience renting from this store. I needed 2 speakers and mics for an outdoor performance. I called 2 weeks in advance and was told I can give my name and number but it wouldnt be a reservation. Instead, I would need to call the day before to check inventory. I called the day before and checked inventory and it was in stock. We picked up and brought the equipment to the performance and the performers saw that there was a major cable missing. That required us to drive back to Guitar Center and pick up the missing cable. Im not sure why the staff did not check that everything was in the bags before they gave it to us.In short, the staff who work here are nice but the stores operations are VERY disorganized. I gave three stars because reliability is low and I would not recommend this store.

2022-03-12Excellent staff and selection in this Guitar Center in Carle Place. I was helped by Matt and he answered all my questions with patience and the best recommendations. I ordered a Fender Stratocaster in the color I wanted and it arrived within a few days. Clear communication throughout the entire experience! I will be back soon to pick up an acoustic guitar!

2022-03-10Needed a setup on a guitar and the tech sort of butchered my still new and very expensive guitar. I received a refund although it still was not enough. Refund $$ plus a more out of my pocket, went to paying a luthier to install a new nut and full setup. You can pretty much see in the picture but to explain, the nut was also chopped up beyond repair with strings loose in the higher slots and cut too low causing buzzing on plucked open strings. At this time my new expensive guitar is finally playable some weeks later, but it is also irreversibly blemished due to an inexperienced guitar tech at this store. If you have an expensive instrument that needs work please heed my warning and find someone with a good reputation. I don’t plan on returning to this location as the above experience has spoiled my ability to enjoy the atmosphere in this store now. It is like battle scars on my instrument now. Just blemished at this point even after paying for more repairs, which is not so nice, and so now I move on and stick with a reputable luthier for work now.

2022-04-02I bought 4 CF Martin Guitars from them in the past and when I decided to sell them I was disappointed. Im sure that they could have given me more than what they offered. The management told me this was company policy. Maybe I should have gone to Sam Ash to see what they may have offered me. So much for a repeat customer and , being a health care worker, during Covid. One day your a hero,The next you a zero.

2022-06-21Update: the customer service manager at this store went above and beyond to help me with this issue. Though I could not get the original adapter due to unforseen circumstances, Ian went out of his was to speak with pioneer on my behalf, purchased a replacement as suggested by pioneer, and also refunded me $50 to my card as a gesture of good will.I changed this review to reflect his amazing customer service, and my appreciation. Though this whole situation wasnt ideal, I am satisfied by the arrangements that were made. My star rating reflects the customer service provided by Ian. I still sand by the absurdity of my initial interaction that Ian has worked hard to make amends for.Bought a used DDJ 800 from this store online, the CSR Luna is amazing, she helped me through the process and kept in contact with me up until I received the item, which shipped with no power cord, which retails from pioneer at $120.She told me to call and speak with the ops manager to have him special order one. I spoke with him and he told me that Id just have to eBay it because they buy used gear with no power adapters all the time. He refused to special order the adapter and take the hit on it.The three Guitar centers in my area were all flabbergasted that a Guitar Center location would take back a DJ controller without the power adapter, yet this location seems to do it all the time.My controller was $740 used, $814 shipped, and missing a knob as well which cost me $15 to replace, $19.87 shipped. With the knob, the AC adapter, and the controller plus shipping brings it to $954. WAY over retail for a brand new product they sell backorders for. This is 100% unacceptable, and I have spoken with corporate about this issue. Dont buy used gear from here.
