One of my favorite gyro spots! You have to try the platter! Great price and portion size is perfect. Soup or salad (I highly recommend the chicken soup) , side options ( I highly recommend fries) and meats... My favorite is gyro (combo lamb and beef) and chicken souvlaki
This place is very very decent nothing to brag about but they screw up a lot.. I ordered a Greek salad no tomatoes, I get it put extra cucumbers maybe lettuce but this salad is literally allllllllll cucumbers!!!! For $12.95 come on guys wake up.. There was barely any lettuce in it. If you order cheese burger well done?? Good luck it’s raw inside no exaggeration happened few times, they must have Ray Charles working the kitchen..
Ordered for pick up, nice serving size, good variety with the GW plate. Must try their salad, very fresh. Even got a tote bag for the order. They have 3 locations, they even have their own app for ordering. Online ordering is just as easy. Great for catering large party. Street parking and meter parking in front of the Flushing branch.
I ΝΕVER write reviews, but in this case I had felt that I had too. I ordered 2 Gyros and a spanakopita. First I want to say that the Gyros were good, but that is were it ends! I ordered grilled onions for 1 of the Gyros and they charged me an extra $1.00 for grilling, which is totally ridiculous!!! At the end the onions were not fully grilled!!!. But they did happily take the extra $1 - Unacceptable!! The spanakopita was made in this manner....Filo on top, a bit of spinach, another layer of more filo, a bit of spinach, another layer of more filo, a bit of spinach, and the final bottom layer of Filo. Sorry, this is not spinach pie!! This is theft pie with a tad of spinach. This may be delicious to someone who is not cultured in the Greek Cuisine. To add insult to injury I paid $30, for what? Never going here again and I will never recommend this place.
Go-to spot for takeout Greek food. We usually order the gyro world plate for two (beef & lamb gyro, pork gyro, bifteki, chicken bifteki, pork souvlaki, chicken souvlaki, & loukaniko, served with pita and tzatziki) which is a complete lie as it can actually feed four to six people. Their loukaniko is the tastiest in the area but sometimes comes undercooked so make sure to check before eating. Love their lemon potatoes but not a fan of their fries. They usually pack the fries at the bottom of the tray underneath all the hot greasy meats. Now imagine eating a thin, soggy, flappy fry drenched in meat oil. Tastes as appetizing as it sounds. Recently, theyve been stingy with their tzatziki sauce which sucks because its delicious. All-in-all a dependable spot for Greek to-go.
I used to enjoy coming here, but that was years ago. I went back recently, based on past experience, I expected good things. To my dismay, the business model has clearly changed. The food is not as fresh as it used to be. Old ingredients, crusted meat, soggy vegetables, etc. The food quality is that of a cheap deli or Bodega, but they charge the price of a fully serviced restaurant. Also, its now like a McDonalds, you go in, order, pay up front their rip-off prices, and sit down on a dirty chair waiting for your food. Then you clean after yourself like a good tool. Needless to say, I am very disappointed.
Been coming here for almost a decade today was the last day they will ever see my face the girl with the glasses should be Cleaning toilets in Transylvania. After waiting a 1/2 hour for the food to arrive I decided to walk up to the window where they were super busy packing take out orders and my food sat there and was Cold. They got mad at me and I was the one that had to suffer, Dont worry McDonalds will enjoy my money
Too much food for the small price, thats my negative. That last sentence is laced with sarcasm, more is always better. The food is massively tasty and platters are ginormous. You will have lunch and diner to go for about 13 weeks.Must go. Staff is friendly and warm. Great customer service and superior food.
Gave small portions of the Chicken Souvlaki open sandwich. When I opened it, there was barely a slice of cheese, and only six pieces of chicken! So embarrassing & this is my first time as a customer! The sandwich and fries have a taste, but for the price it isn’t worth it. They really gave small portions of chicken and literally no cheese. Will not order from here anymore.
I ordered my food ahead of time just to get home to see that the chicken was undercooked and they put so much salad that was dry and only 3 pieces of diced chicken on the gyros I ordered. Disappointed to say the least and when I tried to tell the young lady on the counter she gave me an attitude which I was surprised because I politely spoke to her and all I got was “that’s how the gyro comes” I simply said thank you and left.
Good food & good service. You see all those table in the picture, forget it, no indoor dining. You do have a few outside tables. I had the chicken souvlaki platter. It came with a traditional Greek salad except for the to go dressing, that was Italian??? The French fries were hand cut and tasty. The Tzatziki was very good as well as the Chicken Souvlaki.
The worst service ever with an attitude & bad service been coming here for years and my family this person at the picture is an awful. Every time like I owe her something. I always receive my order missing something Or getting attitude from this person. I will stop and advising everyone not to buy not worst there so many places with good customer service and food.
If you are looking for great food without breaking the bank, this is the place. They have a great chicken burger in addition to pizza and a variety of Greek dishes. Its a great place for kids, families and large groups. The staff is cordial, patient and attentive. They are open late long after other restaurants in the area have closed. I highly recommend.
Love love love this place! My husband and I have been coming here for so many years. When we were dating after we were married and now with four kids. We absolutely love this place and so does our kids. They gave my son a birthday dessert along with candles too he was just so happy to have that.
Awesome place to try the best Greek food in town. The waitresses and waiters are absolutely so friendly and very nice people. The service is one of a kind. The quality of the food is really good, and the taste is just simply amazing, a very good place to share with family and friends in a cozy atmosphere.
Beware, this is a very popular place so come early and have something ready to do with your group while you wait for your seating. My group of six had to wait 20 min and then another 15 min for food. That’s just due to them being very busy, so I’m not taking off any stars. The food was very filling and at an understandable price. They have wraps, gyros, pita bread, burgers, and overall just a lot of options.
A mediocre eatery serving unremarkable food. I have received terrible service on several occasions. During my last visit, the waiter began arguing with my spouse (on a special occasion in front of invited guests) about an incorrect order and the manager really wasnt interested in resolving it. (Just read some of the nasty management responses to customer reviews and you decide about their poor customer service skills). With so many other options, Ill never spend a dime here.
An hour and a half for delivery and called them multiple times and they dont answer. Food came iced cold and would never order from here again. Dont waste your time plenty of reliable restaurants that treat there customers better then this place!Just looked them up on the health dept and this is there report from February 2020:11 Violations- and the previous 2 inspections has 21 & 25 Violations! Disgusting!!1) Food contact surface not properly washed, rinsed and sanitized after each use and following any activity when contamination may have occurred.2) Pesticide use not in accordance with label or applicable laws. Prohibited chemical used/stored. Open bait station used.3) Single service item reused, improperly stored, dispensed; not used when required.4) Non-food contact surface improperly constructed. Unacceptable material used. Non-food contact surface or equipment improperly maintained and/or not properly sealed, raised, spaced or movable to allow accessibility for cleaning on all sides, above and underneath the unit.
Never ordering from them again and I’m Greek! All they want is money and it’s a disgrace to Greeks how they charge their food! When you order a cheese burger delux it’s suppose to come with French fries not an extra charge for it! On top of that there was hair in my food and the bacon on my burger was under cooked. They were very rude to me on the phone when I called. They had no right to talk to a customer for there wrong doing. They are rude and obnoxious. The food was all wrong as well.
Courteous, helpful service. Fresh and delicious food. Enormous salads, freshest ingredients and detailed to specifications. Juicy burgers, great soups. Casual, very clean, simple environment .All the locals flock there! The place to go for Gyros and a variety of gyro selections. Just go there!
The customer service is awfully low rated. You should learn to treat customer nicer. It was not the first time missing sauces or utensils or things I ordered extra. The staff said things can happen......the worst answer you could getThere are better gyro restaurants guys please dont order from here. And the size of the meet is soooooo small....
Need better management skills, I went with 4 adults and because it was about 10pm we were told that we needed to sit at a small table there was no space for us to be Comfortable with the Plates we had order.when I asked for a bigger table to be seated before we ordered I was told that they wanted to start cleaning up .I wouldnt go there again unless something changes. BUT as far as food goes its good. But very upset on how we where Treated . we are Repeat customers but not sure anymore.
Kabobs are very Honestly made to order and come with lemon and tzatziki sauce.Lamb pork Chicken has to be at least an 8oz stick worth the $5.25 per pc well you decide.$3.50. For a 20oz soda you basshhhhids kept th 5th star .Support our Brothers hereCorona Strong approved 🇮🇹🇺🇸
EXCELLENT Excellent authentic Greek food, prepared with care, served with warmth and sweetness. Late night, maybe after a show, if youre in the mood for delicious souvlaki, fresh salads, Greek appetizers, a clean and lovely place to talk and eat, then enjoy this friendly, welcoming casual restaurant. I was really impressed, its the Greek diner of my dreams!
My husband has stage 4 cancer and is very ill. Neither one of us per our doctors should leave the house. A friend purchased a gift certificate for us because they offer delivery and they are right around the corner. Gyro World would not deliver an order if u are using a gift certificate. Well thank you Gyro World for your great customer service and caring for your fellow man. FYI i even told them i would give them over the phone my credit card number as back up. They did not care. They have a policy. Keep this in mind. There are so many great Greek Gyro places here you should chose another.
Their combination platter (with gyro, sausage, beef, chicken, and etc) is great! I ordered the small and enough for 4 adults, and we couldnt finish - that says how much is the quantity that comes with it. The only thing I dont like this place, is that it doesnt have parking.
Had ordered from Gyro World several weeks ago and unfortunately when went back today didnt have receipt. At that time order received was not what was placed. Son picked up and when got home noticed bill was over $60. Part of the order was two pitas and taziki sauce. Got the sauce but the pita morphed to two feta appetizers never ordered. This brought the bill to over $60. Gyros resolution... cant credit my charge. Next time I am there can provide credit for food. Do not live near so realistically impractical. So glad tried to support businesses we patronize previously.
I really like this restaurant. I like this restaurant because this restaurant has a great selection of gyros and meats. Plus the meats are delicious and the yogurt sauce compliments the meat. Also I really like their lemon potatoes and their other sides. It is a pretty fine and decent restaurant. It may not be the best but still a good restaurant.
A cozy place with very friendly staff. We went out to dinner with some friends . Their portions are out of control so if you are on a diet good luck keeping it when you come here. The food was delicious. We got a bunch of appitizerd to share a few mixed meat plates to share as entree and the spreads as an appetizer along with a salad for 6 people . We could have fed 10 maybe more. The soup was out of this world. The gyro was probably one of the best I have had. The spreads were amazing we couldnt stop eating them. All the different meat on the tray was good especially the gyro and the souvlaki. We also had a couple of beers each and I think all the food with the drinks coat us something like 50 a person or less. We over ordered so their prices are really reasonable. I wish this places wasnt so far or I would be there all the time.
Food is great and people are very nice. The manager always greets us whether it be by the entrance or table. So far everything we tried have been excellent! Some of our favorites are grilled octopus, Greek Salad, Gyroworld Platter. They give so much delicious food for the money.!
Just moved to NYC. Good food is hard to find suprisingly. Tons of mediocre overpriced restaurants. Excellent Gyro, both types they serve. Would have liked more sauce as I took it to go, will ask for more next visit. Good portion decent price. 1 most important thing also that will bring me back is their friendly attitude and service. I wont go back to a lot of places just for the lack of that. alone. They act like you need them. Keep it up Gyro World.
Every single time the service is getting worse. They dont bring all the food together. There is not cordination with the waiters and the kitchen staff. The portions are getting smaller . 45 minutes to get a salad and the chicken took 45 minutes more it was supposed to come with the salad .This is the 3 time that happens also it took 1 hour and 30 minutes to get a hamburger they brought us a wrap by mistake the 1 time. The waiters dont bring any water to the table.
Gyro world is excellent. Why the 4 stars though?I have always gotten the gyro world platter here. It keeps on going up a ton in price. In the past 10 years or so the gyro world platter has gone up about $10.I understand the concept of inflation. But it is still way too much!Overall the gyro world platter still remains a good value. But its once in a while for me now. Because of the price hikes. It used to be more often that I would get it.The food still remains solid throughout the years. So Im happy about that.
This has been my go to spot whenever Im in the mood for gyro or meat in general. Every time I order, its with friends so we always get the platter for 2 which comes out to about $30+tax. Its overkill for 2 people, doable with 3 people and is actually enough food to share between 4 adults and be satisfied. Id recommend getting extra pita as it only comes with 2 halves (1 pita?). Most of the time I order for pickup but they do have a nice size dining area with a few semi-outdoor feeling tables.
Love how fresh everything looks and tastes in this place. The Avo Lemano (lemon chicken soup) will haunt you with its flavor. The gyro meats are perfectly cooked and served, as a platter or a sandwich. The greens in their salad never look wilted or forgotten, and their dressing will make you want to eat salad every day. The staff is helpful and friendly and It is supremely clean. Parking is the only hassle, but worth every circle around the block.
A great place for authentic greek pork gyro. Quick and tasty bite to eat.I wish they would be more generous with the tzatziki...We always have to ask for extra servings of tzatziki. The service is dependable on a regular basis. Occasionally a little bit of a wait, but never a bad experience. Always a good meal.
I use to come here a lot, but a couple of places opened closer to where I live so I havent been here in a while. Stopped by last week and ordered a Pork Gyro Platter with lemon potatoes and a Greek salad. This came up to $17 which is the most expensive platter between all the places that I go. The offset is that it was a lot of food which could easily feed two people. The pork was very, very good. The potatoes xould have had a bit more lemon flavor but they were cooked very well. The only thing that really changed is that they moved from metal foil containers to paper containers which means I cant just theow the leftovers in the toaster oven directly. That is just something I will have to deal with. The quality is still there and I am happy thatbis stopped by again. I will have to travel out of my way a little more often to indulge.
Called in an order for pickup in which Nigel was disrespectful in manner. He did not bother to tell me that two sides come with a platter but when I told him i wanted lemon potatoes and greek salad, he said that he already asked me if I wanted “everything on it”. Furthermore, the lettuce was not fresh and I found a small piece of hair in a pita sandwich I ordered. It is sad that this is what the establishment has come to with regard to how it used to be.
Had the beef and lamb gyro and buffalo wings. Both were extremely salty! We threw out the wings since they were inedible. Had to drink 2 glasses of water with the gyro and I tend to like salty foods. This was too much though. The food would have been tasty if it was not so salty!
I love gyros but I have to say I was extremely disappointed with the service, the food wasnt at correct temperature, I ended up getting diarrhea, I would never go to this place ever again. Staff members make people wait quite some time before they decide to come over to take your order. They never bothered to introduce themselves or say hello, all they would say, are you ready, no manners or respect for their customers, I would not recommend this place at all. I was very disappointed with everything.
Used to be one of the best Greek places around, now its not even in my top 5. The food quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. Half of my gyro sandwich was fat and there was a bone. I have been eating here since it opened and now I cant see myself going back. Sad.
We have been coming for years and usually the food is hit or miss. However they never get the order right and food is old when they deliver. The worst was when I tried to sit down and eat a couple of weeks ago and the waitress - the one who always looks like she ate a sour lemon, ignored me for five minutes when I was at the door waiting and wouldnt accommodate a table for 2 that was empty by the window on a hot day. I left and will never go back. They need better management.
French fries were soggy, brown, and dripping with oil. I had placed the order literally while I was 10 blocks away. When I called to complain, I was told that was because of the delivery time, but I did a pick up. They were not edible and I wasnt even offered a replacement, just an excuse.
Placed an order online for the large Gyro World plate and kindly asked for the staff to put the included fries (which usually become all oily and disgusting; as they are placed under the Gyro meat) to be put in a small separate little container. I DID NOT ask for more fries than usual to be included, simply whatever is given - to be placed in a small seperate container so atleast what im paying for will be edible. My request was denied and I was given an attitude saying “either its under the gyro meat or no fries at all”. I was astounded by the response I was given and decided to cancel the entire order. Neither me or my family will ever be coming back or ordering from you again. You just lost a long time (15 years +) customer. Congratulations.
Very disappointed , food went up, $$$. Rather go to a diner. Gyro world was a reasonable place to eat, but not anymore. wont come back, furthermore, there is an extra charge for everything. ..it is not worth it. I always got an extra tziky sauce for my food but not today. I did not wanted to pay an extra dollar for some sauce and it was not for the extra dollar but the fact that the food was already over priced ...
I went here one night, and the Gyro machine was broken. A guy had sat down at the table next to me and ordered a Gyro. The waiter said we dont have that. The man was outraged, he slapped the table and said But this is Gyro WORLD!Just get the chicken, buddy, how do you think I feel? The point is they do good gyros, but there ARE other things. Sleeper hit is the burger-- I also often get the chicken skewers and throw em in the greek salad. Also, just take your food home guy, the lighting in there is terrible.
This place has good food but the service is so bad literally when you ask for anything they say whatttttt like the waiter wants to fight youAnd they never came back to the table to ask if we need anything and they put the tip on the receipt where you have no choice but to give them like $15 tip for nothing. The service is horrible
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! went there ordered a platter and asked for extra sauce. they gave me a small thing of sauce and charged me 3.50. I asked about it and they said no problem, theyll take it off the bill. the guy comes back with the manager and says they cant take it off. I spent 30mins talking to them and i just ended up paying the 3.50. people over there are ridiculous. never going there again.
Good atmosphere, good service but I did not like the fact that you dont have all lamb gyro it was beef and lamb mixed also I did not like the way the gyro was cut using the shaver electrical machine it makes the slices too thin ,I think you should use a knife instead.
I’ve been ordering take out from this place for about 2-3 years, the food was good. However one day this summer, I decided to take my family to dine in... we waited over 30 mins for our order, when I asked how much longer it would take.....the ditzy waitress just came back giggling saying that she forgot to put in our orders... tbh I felt like it was a race thing.
BEST.CALAMARI.EVERbe careful, its addicting. Also there meat platter for $23 is unbeatable, hence why this place is always packed! Things can be a little salty though and I wish they had rewards for repeat customers or coupons because you can easily drop a lot of money in this place after repeat visits.
I love everything about this place. No matter how busy they are theyre always polite and courteous. The meat platter for 2 is huge and very inexpensive and ridiculously good. Horiatiki salad, all gyros, kebabs, souvlakis, and fries are best Ive ever had around Bayside/flushing. They make the best tzatziki sauce and stuffed grape leaves. I havent found anything I dont like about this place. Except that they dont deliver to 11367. :( that makes me sad cause Im addicted to this place! But honestly you cant go wrong here, perfect seasoning and huge portions at more than fair prices.
This place used to be awesome, now the gyros are way to small and over priced. i used to order from them all the time, they are way better than gyro corner and fontana but again the gyros have become to small and to expensive which sucks cause they taste really good.
This restaurant is a must eat! The service that Nico provided was outstanding! Very nice very polite, he made suggestions on our order and nailed it. The food plater was spot on. Everything was delicious and was not expensive at all. Its a family oriented restaurant. If you like my comments pls click on the 👍🏻 thanks
Absolutely rude and unprofessional manager. No customer care! I was at this restaurant having dinner with my family. When we stepped out, we found our car that was parked right in front if the restaurant had a hit-and -run on the front bumper. Called the police and filed a report. The police went in to the restaurant since there was a CCTV that was exactly viewing my car. They said they will definitely talk to their boss and give me a call the following day. I called in the next day and the manager, Nick, told me the boss in on vacation and that they will call me back on Wednesday. Still no call on Wednesday, I called back again and Nick said, “You are being a PAIN! I can’t tell my boss what to do. I will pass on your message but I can’t do anything!” Wow... again, I had dinner at their restaurant and this mishap happened right in front of their business. Did they call back? NO. That dinner costed me couple of thousand dollars and I still don’t understand why they refused to let me see the cctv. Being called a ‘PAIN’ when you are trying to ask for help was very hurtful. Still very unpleasant.
I understand prices have to be raise but the food quality has drop the soup is $5.95 for a small bowl and its nothing what it used to be I have a video Im trying to download if I cant do it now I surely will download in a couple of days so you can see the video of the soup that they are serving
I went in wanting a nice lamb gyro and some greek onion rings. Google the distinction between frozen dried out breadcrumb onion rings and fresh battered greek onion rings. A Greek Restaurant that is authentic and all they have is beef and lamb mixed for their gyros. So I order a bacon cheeseburger deluxe with greek onion rings, instead of fries. I got six onion rings that taste like metal from the old oil, a bacon cheeseburger burger with two strips of bacon plus a snapple. The hamburger bun was days old and just falling apart. $21.95. $4.95 up charge for frozen onion rings and not homemade fresh french fries. They should have deducted for the nasty onion rings. Then after I was finished, my plate taken away, I waited 10 minutes, before standing up and saying can I pay for my meal. They don’t even come close to Fontana Pizza and Gyro.
With all these positive reviews they have raised their prices 25%...$18.95 for a souvlaki platter? $1.75 for a shot glass of tsatziku sauce? I refuse to get ripped off...this was the last $50 bill they get from me. Im sure im not alone. Im sure the Koreans will have no problem turning Gyro World into a BBQ or Sushi spot overnight.
One of the employees, I believe her name was Cecilia, was very rude over the phone. She couldn’t assist properly for customers, especially for the disabled. Either get somebody who could perform the job well or she needs to improve her customer service skills and job duties.
I ordered a Greek salad without anchovies and it came with anchovies. The fries were cold and rock hard. The chicken kebab gyro looked like it was put together in haste and had no flavor. The pita bread was so soggy, It felt like it would fall apart if I picked it up. I ordered two sprites and got one- i was not able to get a refund because I paid with a card and they would not drop the second one off. I would have to get it delivered with my next order, which will not be happening! Sorry guys- major fail.
This is the first time ive ever really had a gyro, and i really enjoyed it. I order the greek gyro, open sandwich which the server told me is their traditional gyro. So i was expecting it to be all wrapped up, kinda like a burrito, but it was not. Nonetheless it was still delicious, the pork was so juicy and the pita bread was perfect. The white sauce that they have with it was amazing. I could eat this everyday. My boyfriend got the beef and lamb gyro closed sandwich, which is the one that came out looking like a burrito. He devoured it in less than 3 minutes, so i think its safe to say he enjoyed it.The service was good, we had a greek waitress who was very patient and helpful in selecting our entree.
Gyro world is another favorite place for the family and I, the food is always consistent . Same with the fresh salad and tomatoes , seems to be always in season at gyro world . The staff is so friendly and courteous , This is another regular spot that we go to . Enjoy !!!
Gryo World beats Gyro Corner any day baby! (post script- after two very disappointing back to back B ratings from health dpt, Im so very glad that Gyro World is back on track. Thanks guys! Personally, i know that it takes a lot and appreciate the hard work that the staff does to maintain things. Not only delicious, but clean, not to mention friendly).
Gyro World was always great for a souvlaki or Greek gyro in Bayside. The quality however has gone straight downhill recently. The food just isnt as good. To make matters worse the portions have shrunk while the prices have increased. Tonight I ordered my usual open sandwich which is a $1.95 upcharge and normally includes a small salad of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and feta with a handful of french fries. Apparently they no longer include the fries and serve a disassembled sandwich with a small piece of feta cheese now for the same $1.95. Tonight was Gyro Worlds last chance to keep me as a customer. They failed miserably. InwiI gladly be taking my business to some other fine establishments in the neighborhood, primarily Kalamaki GR on Francis Lewis Blvd and Avli on Bell Blvd. I would suggest you do too.
Food is mediocre, the service is horrible, delivery driver was mad and told me to tip him more next time to make up for him not having change.the total was 17.40, I gave him 40 and asked for 17$ back but he only had$6 so the tip was only 2.60 when I always tip$5. Also I waiting over an hour for my food and when I opened it it was the wrong order!
Disgusting and tasteless now I understand why the place looks empty from the pork to the pita bread no flavor at all owners got to greedy the only good thing that they deserve the star is the alarm that tell you that your food is ready to pick up never again place my money in a garbage food like that
No matter what time of the day you come here, the food is always fresh and delicious. I always order chicken souvlaki with extra tzatziki sauce..wow its delicious grilled chicken, with onions, tomatoes and lettuce. The greek chicken soup with lemon is great too. The food is cheap and plentiful and they have a great selection of beers to choose from. Parking is a bit difficult to find depending on the time of the day.
If you are hankering for large portions of greek food this is the place. Diner style type of ambiance but the service is quick and the food is delicious. Go for the greek salad which has ample amounts of feta and olive leaf wraps. The gyro wrap is also great. Nicely flavored tziki sauce with a perfectly cooked gyro lamb meat with all the fresh veggies. The chicken patty with fries is also great. A well season chicken patty and wonderful fries. Fried up nicely and soft on the inside. Also had the gyro plate which had perfectly cooked lamb and beef gyro with fries and a salad. All were wonderful items. Ample portions that can be shared with a large group. Ill definitely be back.
This is one of my faivrote places to eat from that is a Greek restaurant. It has great service once you come in and when you go out. It has great food and the place is clean. Bathroom is nice and clean and has everything you need. Come to this place and you wont be disappointed.
Youll never go wrong by ordering their version of lemon chicken orzo, Avgolemono. They have great gyros and souvlaki sandwich platters. If you are looking for a healthier option a small Greek salad with grilled chicken is super tasty and perfect for two. It comes with grilled chicken, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, kalamata olives, feta, stuffed grape leaves and romaine lettuce.Service is fast and friendly and it is such a great option for dining in and takeout when you just want to cozy up at home and enjoy some great food.
Great gyro and fries platter also the grilled chicken salad there is great I do recommend eating in rather than take out or deliver you will get a lot more food but the seating is very tight and you will be close to other diners it get busy there on the weekends and on some weeknight when the weather is warm.
I order a catering event for my place of business. I repeatedly state to be there by 12 noon because office has a lunch break at that time. Not only did they come at 1:30 but all my sodas were diet !!8 2 liters of diet soda!!Rather embarrassing !!Fast forward a couple of months later my wife and her friends decide to throw an end of the year bash for the 5th graders and go to gyro world to cater!!!! Against my advice....Well they failed again!!!An hour late so farCalled them and they said one of our machines broke down blah blah blah.!!!!No phone call first of all second, theres always an emergency repair man for such busy placesAny ways this place is a failure in all waysSurprised they are still there
Korean/Chinese comfort food at its best. Very good toothsome noodles used in jja jjang myun and jjam ppong. I always get the half-half which combines both dishes. The jjam ppong is particularly good here, and the non-spicy variety has a unique smoky quality. Their tang soo yuk (fried beef in thick sweet sauce) is also very tasty (and the chicken and shrimp versions are great too). Havent tried everything on the menu but well on my way...
When my family and I are craving inexpensive Greek food and were in Queens, we definitely go straight to Gyro World. I usually order either their chicken souvlaki sandwhich or Greek salad topped with grilled chicken. I always get a side order of tzatziki sauce (its so addictive) and sometimes their lemon potatoes, which are pretty good too.

2022-01-29Their Gyro World plate at $40 is such a good value, which has all the best grilled meats. We always get their lemon potatoes too. Their pita bread is always nicely grilled and goes well with their yogurt sauce.

2021-12-18This lady has an attitude man, she should not have do any kind of customer facing business, we have to show them vaccine card and ID, still seems like she is not happy since we are dine in here. None of their employees are wearing mask and customers can’t ask their vaccine card too. And the food, they mistakes three times with the same menu, I took beef and lamb gyro, even a street vendor gyro is batter then that. Very disappointed, west of my time, money and mental happiness.

2022-05-15This place used to be solid. Ive been back only once since COVID stupidity. Had to eat outside in a tent with take out utensils last year. It was not a good dining experience at all. Tried my luck again recently. No tent... But also no service. Didnt bother. If a restaurant cant provide service and treat a customer like a patron, I just wont bother. Prices seem to have gotten a bit out of hand as well. Not paying $13 for mystery meat sandwich to go. I still have my dignity.

2022-02-25I have been driving by this place on Northern Boulevard for many years. Finally i decided to stop by and try it. Dinner for two people , mixed meat gyro, fish sandwich, a small Greek salad, soda and a Fix beer. Total damage $52 Self service counter, with wait time about 20 minutes . Food came in a McDonalds style boxes. Nice location, nice staff . Terrible Greek style fast food. Microwave reheated bad quality dishes, that had nothing to do with decent Mediterranean food. I thought it was impossible, but this place was able to kill a simple Greek salad . After drinking soda, Fix beer and depositing 95% of food in a garbage bin I left this place hungry. Adios

2022-03-10If you want a good bang for your buck, skip this place. I just stopped by for the first time and ordered a gyro platter to go. The cashier who took my order had a major attitude problem, and the $22 gyro platter came in a box half of which was taken up by the soggiest, most unappetizing fries youve ever seen The gyro itself was leathery and obviously came out of a microwave.
