Hacienda Lopez is the place I go on my birthday and order chicken chimichangas as a family tradition. For dessert I always get the fried ice cream that they set on fire right in front of you like a hibachi restaurant. While they sing happy birthday and you wear their borrowed birthday sombrero you feel like there is no place you would rather be. Besides the great birthday experience the food is always tremendously cooked and served on creatively decorated plates. Plates for main courses and cute little side bowls for their one of a kind delicious yellow rice and black beans. The whole place is authentically decorated from the beautiful murals on the wall to the precise engravings on the silverware giving an extremely sophisticated vibe. Adding on to the sophistication is the behavior of the teamwork oriented staff who are always waiting patiently behind those two huge expensive looking doors behind the free mint bowl. The wait staff is friendly and will fix any grievance you may have, although grievances are unlikely. Your food always comes perfect just the way you asked in a timely fashion. While you wait for those few minutes you will be treated to my personal favorite warm and colorful tortillas chips and salsa. The salsa and guacamole is made to the best of any restaurants capability and blows all store brand Tostito junk out of the water. Please come and see for yourself if you do not your taste buds will be missing out beyond your wildest imagination.
Place is nice and food is good but their AC system is terrible. We were sweating during dinner. We asked and they increased the AC but 30 minutes before closing they turn it of and it was back to sweating again while we were finished our meals and drinks. That needs to improve specially now with covid.
Just left this place the only nice thing I am going to say is they had outside dining. The staff was nice but thats about it. NO SEASONING on the food, who does Mexican food without seasoning. The drinks were grainy.and the menu is overpriced. Please dive right past this place. And we both are drinking herbal tea to feel better
Came here for a friends birthday and it is done of the best authentic Mexican food we have ever had. The staff is very friendly and helpful. During our dinner we had their margaritas and they were out of this world!!! You can not go wrong with them. The food was just amazing. Left there very very satisfied. When you look at the process they can be a little pricey but you do get what you pay for here. Great high quality food. Will definitely be back!
Took the family here and food was very good, kids loved their quesadillas. My skirt steak was very tasty. Margaritas were excellent also. The main reason Im reviewing this place is because the wait staff is very honest- my toddler managed to kick my wallet out of my jacket pocket while crawling all over me as we were getting ready to leave, and the wait staff found it and kept it for me. I didnt realize my wallet was missing until the next day and when I called, the staffer who answered the phone didnt know that a wallet had been found. I called again later and was told they did have it there for me. I gave the waitress who found it a nice tip. U dont often see that type of honesty anymore. Will definitely come again.
Atmosphere was comfortable, service was good, food was good except for one problem. I am sensitive to spicy foods cannot enjoy any spicy food so I chose a entre with a mild tomato sauce, it was not. Its a good thing my wife and I share our meals because we had to swap. My tolerance for spicy is extremely low my wifes is not and even she said it was definitely hot.We were able to make the adjustments I hope their cooks can. I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 rating and would go back again.
I continue to be shocked that this place is not on a wait every single night. A lot of times they are but often not. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is impeccable. Im wondering now if the fact that they dont have a bar to hold over patrons on the wait or for those dining aloe or watching a game deters people. Not sure by the margaritas are perfection and weve been coming for 5 years and will continue to. Its the best!!!
The salsa is amazing. I have seen many people buy the salsa in large sizes to take hone and use as dressing ot seasoning for dishes. I have also done this myself. The food is great. They took off the breaded steak from the menu which is sad but there are other dishes to choose from. The staff is friendly and accommodating.I recommend trying this place out if you want authentic Mexican.
Best Mexican place weve found in the entire area of north-western Westchester. Great guacamole, made table-side. Same for their table-side prepared fried ice cream. The entrees are quite good, with some authentic Mexican sauces. Drinks are varied and pretty good, too!
Staying with friends in the area, we decided to eat out & being their houseguest I said its my treat so they took me to this favorite family resto & I loved it. We all ordered different quesadillas which were all excellent & we each took a portion home for a snack later. Highly recommended & Id go back anytime when in the area.
Ive been here a few times and found it a bit on the expensive side. The location is not really convenient but theres plenty of parking. I had the steak and it was prepared properly and very tasty. The appetizers and desserts were very good also. The drink selections were very good and the service was friendly and efficient. Again, my only complaint is that its quite expensive.
IF YOU WANT AUTHENTIC HOMESTYLE MEXICAN FOOD, LOOK NO FURTHER! I love Mexican food, my fiancé is Mexican and visited this restaurant yesterday for the first time. I have had Mexican food all over the five boroughs, out west, and in Mexico. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD, I’ve ever had! They have a great variety of foods and I tried a bit of everything. I would definitely recommend the enchiladas de mole- if you want a flavorful journey of Puebla’s infamous spices with a wonderful Smokey chocolate base. But the fun doesn’t stop there... it actually started when I tried their salsa, which they serve with tortilla chips upon arrival. It is a light salsa with a hint almost of ceviche, that compliments their fresh tortilla chips. As for my main dish I had The carne asada con rajas, which is a juicy hefty skirt steak served with rice and beans topped with onions and poblano peppers. Your abuela wouldn’t believe the beans were made in a restaurant, they’re THAT good. To top it off, we had paella for the table, and just when I thought it couldn’t get any better- they hit it out of the park!!! The rice had a light spicy kick, and the shrimp was succulent... As odd as that sounds! Besides the wonderful food, the place is beautifully decorated with artisanal memorabilia, with bright colored walls and clay serving dishes! When you go to Hacienda Sauza you’ll be spoiled with amazing food, warm and helpful staff and a remarkable experience overall!
First time I have ever eaten stake fajitas smothered I acnon distinctive sauce. Everything lost its flavor. You think that you are eating a pepper stake but it doesnt taste like it. The description says sizzling meat over peppers and onions. No mention of sauce over . Bad taste.
I wish I can give this place an zero star because it has an nasty smell on the inside and the prices is insane and when I ate the so called burrito I felt like I was going to throw up and then I was scared to use the bathroom because it was dirty I advised for nobody to eat here
DISGUSTING. I will NEVER eat there again. The service was polite and the drinks were good, however, my appetizer looked like the threw shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, refried beans and avocado slices on top of a soggy potato chip. The entrees came out way to quickly to be considered fresh. I ordered a steak...but it was a thin steak on top of mush. The beans, rice, lettuce and some unidentied roll of something were all melted together....Like they threw it in a microwave.I ordered a crepe for dessert. The fruit filling looked like it came out of a can, the icecream and syrup they used were melted as well. It was pure soup. Just terrible.
I got food poisoning from their steak quesadillas, very poor service waited 45 mins for food just so I could be in severe stomach pain for 3 days straight now. Do not go here Rueben’s is where I will be going from now on. Very disappointed used to love this place but now I am disgusted.
We decided to give this place a second try.Our first time we got the Steak Quesados and ending up throwing them out. The steak was too chewy and the Quesados fell apart as you grabbed them. Honestly, it may have been the worse steak I have ever had.Our second time we decided to try the Chicken Quesados and Sangria. Again, the chicken was too chewy and the only taste we got was from the guacamole and sour cream that covered most of the Quesados. We ended up throwing these out as well.We tried the Margarita Sangria and Banana Sangria and both were too strong. We really wanted to love this place as it is right around the corner from us, but honestly take the drive and try other local Mexican Cuisines. This place lacks authenticity and is not worth the money.
Thought the decor was outdated and cheezy. And speaking of cheezy the food was cheezy, over done. I was not impressed by the presentation either. I have visited much more upscale places like Rosa Mexicano which is beautiful and the food is gorgeous in Manhattan. Was not impressed. If you want out of this world Margaritas go to Asian Fusion down the road....amazing! Margaritas here were watery.
Had delicious Bistek Presidente this Saturday, my family had the delicious Camarones a la Plancha. The shrimp was fresh and delicious. My son had Enchilidas Tres Amigos, the beef, chicken and cheese were yummy! My 5 year old had Taco Felipe, the portion was perfect. I will definitely be returning soon! Alex the owner is very knowledgeable and professional as well as the rest of his staff.

2022-03-06We were able to walk in on a Friday night around 7 PM and be seated immediately. There were still many available seats but people trickled in later. The food and drinks were generally good. I was really craving a margarita and I think this one almost hit the spot. All of the staff members were very friendly and the servers were very efficient. Everything was very fresh and flavorful and cooked perfectly. That was hands-down, the best shrimp cocktail I’ve ever had. I just moved to the neighborhood and this place is located right up the road from my home so I think I will be returning here again. There is also parking at this location which is very convenient. I think there’s at least one accessible parking spot right near the entrance. There’s only one bathroom with a single stall and it’s shared between the staff and customers, so there can be a bit of a wait in line.

2022-04-30I give them one star only because they were friendly and polite. As for their food, that was not authentic Mexican food. I dont think you could even call that Mexican food. Every single item they served us was a pre packaged item. Nothing was authentically made there. Its insulting actually, especially with their high prices. I honestly cant understand how they have so many great reviews. Will never go here again.

2022-06-04The staff are wonderful. Very pleasant and quick. If youre looking for Tex-Mex, this is a solid spot for sure. But if youre looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, I wouldnt say this is it.

2019-05-04Food was good and pretty freshService was goodPrice is fair for how fresh some of the food is. Ex: They make the guacamole right in front of you and let you choose what goes in it. I think that really goes a long way in showing you that youre getting what you paid for.The only negative is that the food can take a little longer than you may expect. Other than that, it was a great experience

2021-05-18Food was unfortunately just “OK”. Service was quick, felt too quick for food to be freshly prepared (chicken was not tender). They also have deceiving advertising (see pic), claiming “specials all day” while in reality they don’t have any specials (absolutely none).

2022-05-02Went here twice. Staff is extremely friendly. Would give more stars if the menu had more options. I felt like I was being cheated.
