You might consider this mountain like a giant hill for the ADKs because of the amount of time it takes to hike up it. It took me about 30 minutes to the top but could last as long as 1.5 hrs depending on your fitness. Its definitely steep at parts, but the top view is breathtaking overlooking the town of warrensburg!

2021-03-09Great hike as always though the melting of the snow made it VERY icy. However, we made it up, and back down only falling a few times. (I also didnt have spikes or anything). Lots of deer activity alongside the trail. Three of them came trekking up the front of the mountain just as we made it to the top. Lovely views. Also, whoever left a dog poop bag at the beginning of the trail by the board, youre bad for the environment :)

2020-07-03This hike is the perfect one for beginners and advanced hikers. In under an hour, you can get some of the best views in the county. The view is unobstructed and beats many other hikes in the area. There are two ways to the top since its a loop but one is steeper and more challenging than the other. Another perk of doing this hike is that there are other hikes in the area so you can get different perspectives and other views.

2020-05-31We do this trail a few times a year. Its conveniently located for us and just thec right length and challenge. The trail continue to be well maintained and the flag at one of the summits was recently put back up. If you do a Google search you may even find the video of someone playing a trumpet at the site.

2019-11-05I love hiking the trails on this mountain, you can get a really good workout even if your not an experienced hiker. I’ve yet to make it to the top yet but there is enough to see with the pond and the stream.

2020-09-11Nice quick hike. Took the steeper route, couple of scrambles, but nice climb. Not moderate for parts. Nice views from the top.

2016-08-01The main trail is a short hike to the top of a small mountain (or big hill, depending on your perspective). Steep towards the end, but the short distance makes it perfect for those with kids, little time or low ambition. Theres a great view of Warrensburg from the top. The trail is too steep to ski, but is great for snowshoeing. There are other trails in the system that are less steep, but somewhat uninteresting (except in the fall, during the peak of foliage). The main trail head is at 69 Warren St, Warrensburg, NY.
