The food was excellent and the customer service was above and beyond. My daughter was limping and he offered to even take the bag to the car for her. The place was clean and welcoming. It was $8.00 lamb over rice and one was enough for 2 days.
Got the family platter plus a couple extra kebabs for takeout... and wow, this was delicious!!!Back again for lunch! Yum!
This is the best kebab house in the neighborhood. Huge portions and delicious.
Great food. Polite lady. Tables are clean.They put all required sauces separately, if its to go. White sauce or hot sauce. All main dishes are between $7 to $13.

Tried their mix chicken/lamb rice platter. The chicken and lamb was definitely not fresh and tasted stale. I took a few bites and had to throw it out. Waste of money, would not be returning.

I adore this place! They have marvelous food, they have a nice menu, The cook in that spot is an expert, I like very much trying all their food. The food is always fresh, the attitude towards the visitors is very good too. I often go to this place and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend it to all.

Went to Halal Express Kabab House for the first time yesterday and will surely be back for more! We ordered the Platter for 4 and a Deluxe Burger, a must try for all you burger lovers out there! The staff was warm and welcoming so if you love authentic Afghani food along with halal American style food, definitely stop by and give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!
I visit this place a lot since I work right next to it. I like how the customer service is always excellent and they keep the place neat constantly. Rates are reasonable and they serve big portions.

Worst experience and over priced. We ordered chicken wraps too much white sauce in it. They used pita bread too sogy. I will never go to this place again.
I strongly recommend this place. Their food is excellent. Above that the staff/family who work there are generous, hardworking and down to earth. They will even go out of their way to make something for you, if informed in advance, that might not even be on the menu . Just recently i asked them beforehand to make for me some meatballs and they made for me some of the best meatballs i have ever had which was so plentiful that it lasted in quantity and freshness beyond a week. Also the gave me extra rice from their kindness. Their food has authentic central asian and mediterranean taste. I strongly recommend this place. Please bring your family for dining.
I’ve eaten here numerous times over the past 2 months and have nothing but good things to say. Food and prices are great- can’t go wrong with the sandwiches or the Afghani Food. The food is always consistent and the staff is really nice. Favorite thing on the menu is the Deluxe Burger!!

On a whim, took away an order from the shop for lunch. Had a Qabli pulao (with lamb shank) and also ordered a chicken kofta. The Qabli pulao just hit the spot - lamb was nice and tender, and pulao was ACTUALLY pulao. Great find....

This is one of the best falafels I’ve ever had. So fresh. I asked why it tastes so good and Mina who runs the place told me it’s homemade. Amazing! Also there’s a desert there called Firnee. My god it’s delicious. Tastes like rose and cardamom. Really tops. I live in Manhattan but whenever I’m out in Bethpage I make sure I stop by here and get a delicious meal!!

Used to go here frequently until they served lamb kebabs that had gone bad. A different party who also experienced this had asked for a refund and the manager scolded the family out of the restaurant. After witnessing the terrible customer service, I decided not to go back.
Since new management took over , i don’t feel going there cus food is not tasty as before .. 🤔 i have to hunt new place now.

Your better off eating McDonald’s leftovers. These people don’t have the slightest clue on how to run a restaurant let alone any business. After waiting 45 minutes for 1 meal it tasted completely bland. Stay away!!!!!

The chicken tikka is fabulous and the service is wonderful! I enjoy talking with Shabnum, one of the workers. She is always very friendly and polite and extremely helpful. I order from there at least once a week! It has become my favorite takeout place!

They dont have the panache of a fancier restaurant and service can be a bit slow, but my meal is always made fresh and delicious. On a few occasions Ive gotten chicken and lamb instead of my preferred beef and lamb, but again- so tasty I hardly mind. They have the best baklava I’ve ever had, made by the madina market a few doors down.

First off, I would not recommend this place and second of all go at your own risk. These people serve spoiled meat and condiments that smell bad and god knows when they replace the green chatni. Mind you, there is food particles floating in the green chatni as you can tell its used. Then they deny its spoiled or it stinks and the owner is a cheap bastard because he knows he is selling spoiled meat and wont except it. The health department needs to make a stop and check on this place.....so people beware!!!! Plz smell the meat and the white sauce and green chatni b4 eating.
We ordered the 7 skewer family combo, which is quite a deal. They give us ton of rice. Get the qabuli rice w the raisins and carrots, its so delicious. The chicken Tikka is my favorite, and the spicy is spicy. The yogurt they give u is yum. My husband liked the beef and lamb

The new Halal Express Food is no where close to what Medina House food was. The Kababs were Extremely Dry. The beef Kabab had a stale smell. Phirni, was not at all like Phirni, it was so sticky. I would never go back to this new place which is now under new management

2022-05-03Got the lamb chop platter 15/10. Best lamb chops ever! Extremely juicy and tender, even after 15 minutes. The Ferni is so delicious with the perfect amount of sweetness. Literally finished two boxes of it in one sitting. The owner is so nice and humble. She took care of us and provided alternatives when we mentioned that the meat for the lamb shank was slightly dry. Even though one of our entrees was a bit dry, everything we had was bursting with flavor and extremely delicious. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone, especially their lamb chops and ferni! Have been here before, their other meats like chicken and beef are also very flavorful and juicy. All in all 10/10. And customer service is impeccable, very warm and friendly people.

2022-02-06My grandmother passed away recently and we needed a large order for the funeral.They went above and beyond with the quality and professionalism. Everyone were very satisfied with their food. They gave us 40 individual food containers with dividers that had qabuli type rice, 2 different types of chicken, salad, white sauce and bread all organized and delicious. They also made us bolani. All this with utensils. But most importantly the cost was so reasonable and affordable. They truly made our order with honor and respect. Tashakur! THANK YOU!

2021-12-27Owner was very pleasent and respectful. As far as the food i ordered lamb and mixed over rice I have had better. The white sauce was very salty and I would have appreciated the owner taking my order to let me know how much sauce I wanted.. its more of a take out place even though you can dine in. I would have appreciate the owner at the front counter wearing a mask during the current pandemic and NYS mandating wearing of the mask just to keep safe. Hence the 3 stars.
