Had a small gas leak on my furnace and moisture issue with AC. Halco came out within 24 hours of me calling their support line.

James Stone, a Halco insulation team member came today to evaluate a problem and schedule us for a final visit at another date, however knowing the temperature was going to dip in the single digit and the negative digits he called home base to see if he could proceed today with fixing our problem, hence allowing us to be worry free.Hows that for commendable?So he single handed tackled the problem (I have noticed usually the Halco guys work as a team of at least two) and I give the man a lot of credit as the area he had to crawl in and drag equipment and work was no ball room but more so reminded me of one of Cu Chi Viet Cong tunnels. By the time he left, you could not tell he was ever here as he took a ton of old material along and left everything so clean. He even broomed the place although I had told him I would do it. Thats professional.Thanks James, my wife and I appreciate.
Robert and his crew did a terrific job installing my heating and cooling system. He was professional, punctual, clean, informative and I was super happy with the quality of work. The crew was also great in dealing with my children.

Anthony is very friendly, professional, and took time to explain what was going on. While no HVAC problem is fun, Halco made it very easy and pleasant to get back in shipshape condition.
TJ cleaned and installed air filter. Added screws to stainless chimney cap He pushed the air filter switch to automatic so it didn’t run constantly Checked the extra battery for the sump pump.
We had a great experience with Halco - they came out to repair a clogged drain, and were professional and efficient. They ended up putting a camera down the sewer line so we could get more info on the source of the clog. They were great about giving us an informed assessment of future work that needed to be done, while putting it into the context of what needed to be done right away vs. down the road. Would recommend them and would use this company again for sure.
Dan was extremely responsive and respectful when quoting our air conditioning system.

I called and set up a seasonal furnace appointment with Halco and they had availability as early as the next day. I had to be available for a 3 hour window. The tech (his name was Anthony) called to let me know he was 15 minutes away at 9am, which was great for me that he was going to be early! He did a thorough check of our furnace, told me what should and could be replaced, explained everything so I knew what the parts were and their function, and took care of it all the same day. He was very polite and thorough. I enjoyed using Halco’s services and will be using them again!

We received a duct cleaning. Our service man was extremely reliable, very friendly and explained every step he was going to take. At the end he showed us pictures of the duct and what he was removing. All this was completed on time. Fantastic job. I highly recommend this company

Love Halco! Ive always felt treated honestly and fairly, from hot water heaters installed and replaced, heating systems installed, upgrades, the Energy Audit and insulation upgrades, and service, for over 30 years. Had a service call yesterday, and everything went smooth as usual. Easy to set up the appointment, too.
Halco did a wonderful job installing Tankless Hot Water and Large Solar Power system. They were very good with communication and installation of each system. I would recommend them for any future HVAC and Energy upgrade.

This was our first time calling Halco for a plumbing issue. The techs they sent were spectacular! Arrived on time. They fixed it, they patiently explained everything. They are most certainly on our first call list the next time we need something they handle repaired or installed.
Had Halco install all new insulation and hvac system 11 years ago, an expansion of the system for an addition, and have continued to use them for maintenance ever since. On the rare occasion that things weren’t absolutely perfect, they stood by their work quickly and without hesitation.
Good and reliable service every time. A Halco tech has inspected my gas and oil appliances each year and I will definitely maintain my service contract. This year the technician identified a safety concern that no one had picked up on before; he pointed it out to us, explained the concern and suggested best way to have it remedied.

Halco completed a complex job without hassle and has effectively maintained and serviced system for 6 years now. They have some great techs who were also able to diagnose and repair other contractors incorrect work.
They were on time. Very friendly with my dogs and kids. He explained everything that he was doing before he did it. He explained things he found and what needs to be fixed. Very thorough I would recommend them.
The girl adrienne that came to my house from halco was very pleasant knowledgeable & on point ,she knew her stuff .please do not think home grants are a waste of time. My point of use hot water failed on Saturday. The repairman was at the house that afternoon, part ordered, and installed early Monday. Excellent service and service technicians.
On our Seneca Lake property, under emergency conditions (old furnace failed; outdoor temperatures in the teens), Halco (Phelps) installed new furnace within 2 days of old furnace failure and AC unit 4 days later. New furnace is operating flawlessly; AC unit will be tuned up when temperatures get warmer.
Top notch work ethic, top notch work. HALCO has serviced my house twice now, and both times the same technician. My mind is always at ease knowing the best job will be done, for the reasonable price. He was right on with everything.Of course there were surprises and he handled them with ease.Easy to talk with. Taught me some things.EXCELLENT job ! They made sure the job is done right the first time.Polite, clean and they work smart to accommodate the worksite specifics.I was well informed of the job’s progress and all of my questions were answered. 2022-06-07Tyler and Mike came out to locate a leak in one of the heating lines at our house. Within 5 minutes they located to splits in the heating line! WoW! Amazing!Tyler and Mike refused to leave until they monitored the flow of water without any other leak potentials.Thank you Halco for having responsible, professional, and helpful technicians on staff! 2022-08-03Through NYSERTA program added insulation to attic area and foam sealant along basement rim. Wrapped chimney in attic area and installed smoke/co2 detector. Both individuals involved were professional, personable, and paid particular attention to maintaining our house cleanliness. I would recommend, and have recommended this organization and these two individuals to my friends and relatives for any like work in the future.

2022-03-31Halco did an amazing and thorough job. Halco did a blower door test to see what size heat pump our home needed, which other HVAC companies did not do. Other companies simply looked at our current overly sized unit (has a lot of short cycles - turns on and off quickly) and offered to get the same size or even a larger unit. Halco also was able to install a cold weather heat pump (LGRED) that works until negative 13 degrees Fahrenheit before heat strips turn on. Again, other HVAC companies salesmen expressed no knowledge of cold weather heat pumps and insisted that we couple a heat pump with a gas furnace. However, we have solar panels and are working toward completely electrifying our home. We are grateful that Halco is able to provide such a great level of service as we transition away from natural gas!
