Been doing major street construction for months, creating a parking nightmare for our neighborhood in Queens. But really my main problem is the fact that they allow their trucks to idle for literally hours in residential areas. A few days ago a Hallen truck was idling for at least three hours. The driver was literally inside sleeping, engine on. You better believe we took a video. Terrible polluters and also apparently lazy workers who cant even be bothered to stay awake on the job.

On 7/7/22 I observed your Pittman crew working o the street gas lines by my house. I must let you know that they were very, very professional, courteous and extremely team centered. My compliments the Pittman team.

OMG I wish I could give this place -1000 stars. This company has been contracted out by National Grid, to lay out some pipes and boy are they slow. They come destroy the neighborhood, leaving dirt in viable parking spots, leaving yellow pipe tubes in viable parking spots.As soon as you take you car out of a spot their team is working on, say goodbye to that spot. Its gone, coned up and reserved for this company to just drop whatever they are not using. There was no notice, nothing about the length and time for this project. National Grid should have given the residents notice. It has been 3 weeks , and Hallen is still taking up viable parking spots, they are still doing construction on the side of my home, hitting my building from time to time, no consideration for the residents or neighborhood. They left dirt on the road , it will be raining tonight. Please NATIONAL GRID , hire a company that is considerate to the neighborhoods and residents. Also please do your due diligence and tell the residents what is going on in the area and how long this is going to take.Having yellow pipe tubes take up blocks of parking spot is simply unacceptable. This is already a crowded city, i shouldnt have to drive blocks for a spot 3 weeks into this project.

These guys are currently doing work for national grid on my street. The workers cut up my sidewalk without notice, blocked my driveway in the morning when my wife needs to take our child to school. The workers can be seen lounging on the steps of houses during break. Today a worker walked onto my porch to put on his rain gear.Long story short when these guys are on your street keep an eye on your property.

Started worked prior to 7am. The noise level was as loud as I’ve ever heard for a company doing construction. It was literally as if they were working in my bedroom. This went on for an entire week. The workers began prior to 7, in violation of the local ordinance. Judging from the other reviews I can see this is a pure trash and unprofessional company. I wish I could post the video I have of how loud it is.

I had no choice dealing with them as they were undertaking a municipal project on my street. Absolute worst customer service with the rudest employees imaginable. They generated the most complaints in the Bay Ridge Community Board and 46 safety complaints during work in Paedergat Basin, Brooklyn. Keep flooding your Councilmans office if you have complaints with, or about, them.

Hallen Construction is the worst. The employees are very rude including the office. As per National Grid agreement with this company, they replaced the gas lines in the street and my house on March 11, 2017. In the process of the new installation they had to cut open my finished basement drywall to bring in the new pipe so I have the Hallen employee permission. He told me his company will send someone within a week to fix it. As of June 25th I am still waiting. Each time you call someone will call you back. Well we know what happened there. In my opinion National Grid should be held responsible because they are the ones that gave the contract to Hallen Construction and we are their customer.

One of their workers plowed snow into the back of my car and damaged the bumper and trunk. They are very lucky I was late for work that day or I would of called the police immediately on the person because my neighbor gave me video of the incident . Especially because the older gentleman driving the tractor acted like he wasnt concerned at all when I confronted him about what he had done he started screaming and cursing. When I called their office I spoke to john may who told me he will take care of everything and for me to go get an estimate of the damage.Sure enough after all is said and done after a couple weeks of waiting I call and have to chase what the hold up is and I cannot get a hold of him. Then all of the sudden I get an email saying they will not be responsible for fixing my vehicle.

On Friday July 28th at around 5pm, a green van belonging to Hallen Construction with license plate digits of 8400JY was driving recklessly on two separate occasions in Atlantic Beach and Lido Beach. After the driver, an older male intentionally flew by and cut off one of 8 cyclists the first time, he did it again to me. I approached his vehicle on the drivers side and asked him what his problem is, he said get your f*ing bikes off the road. This indicated malicious intent. If you cannot trust someone with cyclists lives on the road, are you really going to trust that person with your construction? It says share the road with cyclists everywhere. This is a bad bad man.
