Hallockville museum farm tells the story of Long Islands agricultural heritage with indoor and outdoor exhibits. I liked seeing the old implements and methods used by farmers perhaps over a century ago to work the land. The main barn is impressive and doubles as a great venue for special weekend events.

2019-05-22Hallockville Museum Farm in Riverhead LI hosts a Sheep and Wool fiber festival each year in May. There are fiber artists, vendors, sheep herding and shearing demonstrations and animals. You can also buy lunch and listen to the bluegrass group they have, that meets each Thursday. They also offer memberships and other programs related to craft and farming on the East End throughout the year. A lovely place to spend the day!

2021-08-28Tears sharing arts and crafts and all kinds of old-fashioned joy for children. The baked goods were amazing. Dont pass up the Irish shortbread but it doesnt cookies after I ate the first three. Dont worry Ill share them. The handles are getting decent beautiful sweet. The whole experience was delightful for my children and grandchildren.Karen Moss

2020-08-19I went for a music event, and it was a great space for it. Hanging out in the back of the truck listening to music. The acoustics are surprisingly great here. Lack of facilities for bathroom or even vending knock a star off but if youre prepared for it, its not a detriment at all.

2019-09-06This farm is set in the 19th century. There are a few buildings to tour which you are able to go in. You could do either a self guided walking tour and follow the signs or you could join a guided tour on Sundays. The farm is home to cows, chickens, goats and sheep. The animals come up to the fence and you are able to pet themThere is a garage full of old sleds and carriages. We had a very educational experience.
