$30+ dollars a person for less than 15 minutes of mediocre rooms. My expectations werent high, but this laughably dropped the bar. Its not that its not scary, its literally just a handful of sparsely decorated rooms. Even with us taking photos, we were out in 20 minutes. A ginormous waste of money. The owners can call people Karens all they want, it doesnt change that this is teetering on being a scam. The staff was very nice though.
I never give 2 stars but this location is a thumbs down. First off halloween house on a mall😳i was looking forward to the great outdoors the displays were definitely nice for the kids. 15 min tour. Attractions were suppose to be interactive, barely you had to shake them for a response. The tour guide Ricky was awesome very professional and helpful. Very pricey for what is offered it shouldve been 10 for adults and 5 for kids. I did not like it.
This is a place for younger kids under 8. Definitely not worth $30. Sorry guys but we won’t be back for the Christmas house . We were disappointed. My 16 year olds made the best of it and felt bad I spent so much money. Slow down when you walk through , otherwise it will all be over in 15 minutes. We did get some cute photos though.
This place was so much fun. I went here for my birthday with my entire family and from the second we walked into the mall, everything was Halloween from the bats on the walls that you have to follow to the food court that’s now a haunted waiting area and the actual Halloween house itself. My son loved it too and he’s typically afraid of everything.
Dont go here!! this place sucks, cheap Halloween decoration charging premium prices. You guys can fool us if home Depot doesnt sell skeleton. At least put effort on this so call attraction. The decoration in the Halloween House is similar to your friendly neighbors Halloween Decoration, then whats the point me paying money to see something we see everyday. Horrible place to be in with kids expecting an experience they never forget.
I spent 185$ on a family of 5, the whole experience was 15 minutes. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Save your time and your money!!! This belongs on a beach strip for 10$ A person max!!2nd part- this reply from the establishment is more of a joke than the actual experience itself! It speaks for itself. So unprofessional, but I’m not surprised. Take the comp Xmas tickets and use the funds toward improving the experience 💋
This is the biggest scam in Long Island. Not scary at all. Some plugged in skeletons.Toilet paper tree? What?DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I am sure there are better decorated houses in your neighborhood. If you dont believe me, just send 1 person and check it out. We paid $175 for 5 people.SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!.
Do not waste your money! This place is a complete scam and falsely advertised. It states on the website that there is a tour guide and will take about 40-45 minutes to walk through. There is no tour guide and it took at most 15 minutes to walk through the whole thing. All the decorations are from home depot or lowes, not very creative. Also the place is not very well marked so even getting to check in was a mess. Let’s just say they had a very creative writer when building out the website because I have seen decorations at peoples houses look better and not one answer in the FAQ is factual. Don’t be fouled and don’t waste your money!
I hate being scared more than anything but at the same time I love Halloween more than anything and it’s my favorite holiday so every single year I’m stuck with either going to a scary haunt and hating my life or going to a ‘kid friendly’ haunt and being bored to tears. No more!!!! Halloween Houseeee was exactly what I needed. My whole friend group had fun even the nutjob that loves the super scary places loved the decor and couldn’t argue with the pricing because most haunts are $50 and this was only $30. Awesome😘
I love this Halloween house of longisland! It is so fun, great to take pictures in all the rooms! Family friendly, it was such a good experience and also loved the gift shop! They have one brand called 2 besties boutique and there clothes are amazing and cups! Cannot wait for Christmas house!! I RECOMMEND!!!!
I am here to Warn everyone Not to buy tickets for this event. It is the worst excuse for a Halloween Experience you will ever see!! $25 a piece for a 10 minute walk thru with nothing but pumpkins on the floor and a few skelton. Dont waste your time or money. We werent the only ones saying this, families were coming out shaking their heads and talking about how Bad this place is. Please, please, take my word for this, its the worst. Keep your money in your pockets!!I saw your reply and we DID see the whole attraction not just the outside. Dont be ridiculous! I stand by my review. STAY AWAY PEOPLE
If I could put 0 stars I would. Horrible experience, a waste of time and money, I’m pretty sure the drive there was longer. Website states 45 minute walk and fun for all ages??? More like a 15 minute walk and fun for maybe really young kids. Not much to say except for don’t waste your time.UPDATE: Reading the responses to some of these reviews is honestly shocking, I mean people are calling you a scam and all you have to say is “you didn’t even attend” “Karen” “you have no life”. I mean really!! You are obviously have no people skills, you’d think if someone was calling you a scam you’d reply back with a “I’m sorry you feel that way”, and none the less these responses are coming from the owner. People don’t like your attraction now, just imagine what they’ll think when they see your replies. Also don’t even start with the you didn’t even attend, because I did attend and it was a waste of time.
I bought my tickets last week online and then read a bunch of reviews that made me wonder if the Halloween House in Westbury would be worthwhile. I’m always wary of reviews that sound like they’ve been written by people who work there and some reviews said it was a rip off but let me tell you this experience was well worth it. Who this is NOT for:1.teenagers and young adults looking for people to jump out and chase you around with a chainsaw. There’s none of that here.2. People who are into gory horror stuff. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY attraction. I came with my wife, my two daughters (12 and 13) and my son who just turned 2. EVERYONE had a terrific time. It’s located in the old Source Mall. An abandoned mall is a creepy place anyway and it’s perfect for something like this. When you arrive you walk through a few corridors and take an escalator to the second floor where the old source mall food court has really been done up for Halloween. They had snacks like candy apples and popcorn for sale. Even hoodies and shirts. Once we were ready for our tour, they called us over. Our guide could not have been more friendly or helpful as she took us from scene to scene through the haunted “house” (which was really one of the abandoned Source Mall stores).
You can tell a TON of detail and work went into this place. Every one on the staff was super sweet to our group and made sure we had a really fun Halloween time. Best rooms for me were. Nightmare before Christmas. Monster mash. And the room where you get to TP a tree. Legit
SO much fun, no matter the age! I took some AMAZING photos for my instagram because the tour guides allow you to take as much time as you want in each room! My favorite was the Stranger Things room... the real 1984 walkie talkies are so cool! What a great way to spend my evening!
$70 down the drain for an experience that only lasted about 20 minutes. I was fully aware that there was no actors, no gores and no jump scares, as they mention it so many times prior to and at your visit. However, for what you pay and what you see, it is definitely not worth it. I was very disappointmented in what I spent my money on coming here.
THIS PLACE IS AWFUL!!!. CLEARLY A SCAM!! Dont waste your hard earned money on this joke of an exhibit. I drove down from Connecticut with my wife and a friend expecting to see a well thought out and detailed exhibit as FALSELY advertised. Props are so cheap and clearly from home depot Ive seen them!!! Very small space separated by curtains. As stated in other reviews absolutely no tour guide VERY over priced tickets. My wife wrote a review on Instagram and was immediately blocked by them. IF ANYONE READING THIS CAN DO ANYTHING PLEASE SHUT THIS JOKE OF AN EXHIBIT DOWN!
Very very disappointing. Really a shame and definitely not worth the $96.00 I spent. 5. & 7 yr olds actually said…“Is that all there is? “In response to your response… we actually DID go thru all the rooms TWICE hoping we didn’t miss anything (we didn’t) ! The one good thing I can say was that the all staff inside the rooms were very cordial, but I still would not recommend.
First of all... Its a Halloween house in a mall. 2nd.. Its literally just one store separated by curtains. They have Halloween displays which would be nice for the outside of a house, but to pay 25.00 pp to see a few scenes is a big, fat, no. Save your money. Go someplace else.
O. M. G. This is a place where all can go. The decorations are awesome. The energy is awesome. The customer service is awesome. Definitely a must see. Affordable prices. Awesome merch at the gift shop. The venue is also wheelchair accessible for the young and not so young lol! And for all who like to snack, this is the place for salty and sweet ! I just love Halloween 🎃 👻 COME ONE COME ALL
LOL if I could give it 0 stars I would. And that’s because they delete negative reviews on FB and IG so here we are- Google review time. If they didnt delete my one little comment I wouldn’t be leaving this lengthy review. Save YOUR MONEY. Or better yet light it on fire or flush it down the drain. It would be more fun than what you get there. $128 for a family of 4 for 20 minutes tops after waiting 1.5 HOURS to go in!! We could of drove around for free looking at people’s Halloween decorations. Someone said if the tickets were $5 each that would be fitting. That guy gets it. It’s so sad that they delete all negative reviews because you can’t even warn people. What kind of nonsense is that? Well… consider yourself warned if you’re reading this unless they got an in with Google too and it disappears. There’s plenty of fun things to do on LI. This, sadly is not one of them. Womp WOMPP.Ps- it’s funny they asked the guy who gave it a 1 star who didn’t go to delete his review because it’s “not fair”…. What’s “not fair” is you deleting any negative reviews you get off social media!
This is a very kid friendly haunted house. I wouldnt recommend for adults only. Any adults with kids I would highly recommend. Its a good place to introduce them to all things Halloween. Teens & older will be disappointed like the few reviews posted previously before me.
We thought the food court was the entire experience at first and we would’ve been happy with that lmao but there’s another 10,000 square feet of awesomeness also, so needless to say we all frikkin (can I say frikkin on this???) we all frikkin loved this place! Halloween house rules! Thanks...😊
Don’t waste your $30!!! The only part of the attraction that was well done was the Stranger Things room. Corn holing garbage pails and toilet papering a fake tree? Whats that about? My fiancé and I agree that $10 is what the 12 minute walk through would have been worth and it is for children under the age of 10 more than it is for a teen or adult!Update 11/2: I dont appreciate the owner accusing me of not attending this “attraction” in his/ her response when I actually did. Very poor customer care! I put a picture of my ticket to prove the liar of an owner wrong!
One star is giving the place way too much! Very poorly managed very falsely advertised. It was a horrible disappointment and complete waste of money! It was advertised as exquisitely decorated themed Halloween “rooms” … if you call small sections of a store sectioned off my curtains “rooms” then ok !!! And decorated abandon food court, A pumpkin patch with 10 pumpkins “ a patch “What is worse that when I complained on their Facebook page my comment was laughed at and deleted, then I was blocked from making any further comments as well as the rest of the people that I was with … 30 dollars a person for this 15 at best minute walk though … is a complete waste !! I feel sorry for parents that paid 25 for their kids!! I would not recommend this place to anyone!!! Enclosed is a picture of response to my comment
I was here yesterday on its opening day, the atmosphere was awesome in the waiting section with a bunch of fun games and spooky areas, then around 8 i went inside the attraction and me and my girlfriend had so much fun our tour guide was pleasant and gave us as much time as we wanted to look around each room take pictures etc. overall very pleasent experience planned on spending a half hour there just to see the main attraction and go home, ended up being there for hours enjoying ourselves playing cornhole etc.
THE BEST! I love this place. Amazing value for the money. The decor couldn’t be cooler, more original or more creative. Legitimately fun for everyone. My crew had a whole bunch of ages. Everyone loved it. One big fat lady in another group complained that no actors scared her….even though the whole point of this place is nothing is going to scare you HAHA! Psychos. Sane people will love this spot. Karen’s won’t because they hate everything LMAO. Happppy HALLOWEEEEN!
Before they say it’s a fake review here is the proof of my receipt for 2 Adults and one child!! It literally took 10 mins to see cheap skeletons from Home Depot! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND SAVE YOUR MONEY! This place is a joke and bizarre! This should be free not $100 very disappointed!!!
It was more fun than we thought it would be, and we heard amazing things from our family friends.Everything about the place is detailed and for people who love Halloween, so I understand why there’s a couple of grumpy Karens in the reviews because they either didn’t actually attend the real attraction, which shows their level of intelligence, or they just don’t understand what a ‘no anxiety’ haunt is.My wife has horrific anxiety as does her sister, but they’re both Halloween fanatics, so this place hit the spot in a perfect way. The waiting area itself, has a bunch of really cool and fun photo ops, for adults and kids alike. My wife loved the 40 foot cat inflatable, which I’m assuming is for kids, but hey, she loved it, and the rest of us really liked the super detailed spider set up they had and the haunted pumpkin patch area.Once we got to the main attraction, that’s when the detail and attention to giving you your money’s worth really hit us.They built the front of a house!!!!! Just to have a realistic feel for their trick or treat room. One clown wrote that it’s all Home Depot decor here and her house is nice. Ok Karen. Her house is probably less expensive than the one they built inside this place. The stranger things room absolutely blew us away. To say it looked like you were on the set would be an understatement. Truly incredibly well done. The other rooms were fun and creative too. Haunted hotel was sick, in a good way, and none of us knew what was happening when we got toilet paper, until we saw the giant TP tree in the next room.We all absolutely loved this place and if you’re reading this and not a grumpy broke Karen, you will too. If you are grumpy and broke, go walk around party city and make believe it’s a fun time Lolol.
I went to halloween house on a Saturday night at 7 PM. It was PACKED. Everyone was dressed up in costumes. Kids running around playing cornhole. First off I’d like to say that the staff handled the crowd very well. They had people going up and down the line checking people in so things could move faster. When we got into the main attraction to was easy to navigate, had AMAZING decorations, and they had staff throughout the attraction to take pictures for us and help facilitate activities in each room. As a “responsible” adult, I was pumped to be able to TP a tree AND trick or treat. I 10/10 recommend this to people of all ages! There really is something for everyone at halloween house!!

2021-10-23This was such a fun experience! Literally no scares but tons of fun. I’d recommend this to anyone that likes Halloween but is not into haunted houses. The decorations were over the top. Thanks for an awesome time HHLI!

2022-04-14100/100 is my rating. So much fun and everyone on the staff was as nice as humanly possible, even when a grumpy Karen got mad because she had to wait ‘6 minutes!’ LMAO. Some people are nuts. But the staff here was courteous and graceful and the experience was well worth the Money..... 🤞🤞

2022-06-28I’m a professional photographer and I went here with a client to do a spooky shoot. We got some amazing shots and had a ton of fun doing it!

2022-06-28The place was very busy when I went, but we just skipped past the busy rooms and went back when they were cleared out. They let you go around as many times as you want, so we weren’t even worried about it.

2021-10-30Went today. Thought it was okay. It was clear they put a lot of effort into some of the scenes but it was over very quickly (20 min) for what we paid (~$100 after taxes and fees for me, my wife and my 6 yo).I had thought the main exhibit took up most of the top floor of the empty mall, but it was just all within a medium sized unoccupied store.Though I think some will find it’s well worth the price of admission, I personally did not, though my family did enjoy our 20 min while there.

2021-10-24Please save your money and time. We spent $106 to walk around and look at cheap decorations. You walk through different “rooms” separated by curtains. I don’t think I’d be as frustrated if it weren’t $30 a person. That was easily a $10 a person experience. Also, I notice that the owner keeps responding to comments on here saying that people only walked through the waiting area. Based on their comments, they walked through the actual attraction. It actually IS that bad. I’ve never written a review before, but felt like I should for this one.

2021-10-25Surprised by some of the negative reviews - this was really, really fun for everyone in our group, including 7 year olds, teenagers, adults. The attention to detail was incredible, especially in the Stranger Things and Nightmare Before Christmas rooms. The staff was wonderful. It had all the fun of Halloween without the people jumping out and scaring you (although theres enough horror to give you your fix, if youre into that). Cute and, most importantly, fun! Strong recommend.

2021-11-01Just stick to the waiting area... if you want to pay for something, pay for the arts and crafts by lets craft outside the attraction. As you see the owner claimed I did not attend the attraction. So now I will go in detail in my updated review.I did, On October 31st at 6pm, I went through all 10 rooms. The second room was really well done, a great photo op as you check in to the hotel. All the other rooms were pretty disappointing except maybe the stranger things room. Here is what would make it 4 or 5 stars for me. Lower the cost to something a bit reasonable as its really only a 20 minute experience... ORRRR throw a lot of candy in each room to the kids.At the end... no adult is coming here for themselves, its for the kids... look at the exit, are kids faces ecstatic, or disappointed? Give them candy in each room and no one will give you the 1 star.

2021-10-18We went here over the weekend, from the pictures it looks great, but in real life not so great. This would be great for kids under 10, but for adults and teens not so much. There was some effort put into everything, but to ask $30 a ticket is just ridiculous. This would have been good at $10 a person and if you live close by, but for $30 a person there are so many better options out there and this is just not worth the price of addmission. The whole experience was done in 10 minutes and you were left feeling like you wasted your time.
