Hamlin Park in other cities:
Perfect for the kids. Basketball court, baseball diamond for kickball, large track to use for field practice. Its beautiful in the summer months with all the trees in bloom you can hang out and enjoy watching the little animals hopping from branch to branch too. During winter, after a good snow cover, there is a small hill where young children can practice sledding. The Aurora playhouse is located here as well.
I liked this park. I was there during dusk hours. Sitting on a bench I saw several animals (deer, passim, a large cat, something I couldnt identify and more). It was tranquil, peaceful and clean. I would suggest more lightning, for safety purposes but safety didnt appear to be an issue during my visit.
Homegrown Festival evening, nice time, green grass, smiling faces, no big to-dos about parking or entering--as in no parking directors, no lines, no cones, no nothing at all regarding where parked--making it super-simple and stress-free! It was a relief to encounter this with my not-so-great joints and aching body--I was so happy about not being sent off to park in the back 40!Also, there was no line to get in, you could walk right in, no checking bags and purses and IDs and strollers and whatever else that stops a line for moving--like I said there was no line--just a wide open area with a tent centrally located where you could OPT to show ID and get a wristband in order to consume alcohol. It was truly a nice, Midwest small-town Saturday night! Everything was really easy, free-flowing, and laid back. Like in the good old days :)
Hamlin park is amazing. They have something for all.my various ages kids to Do. There also situated in the heart of east aurora so you can take a quick walk to 7-11 and grab slurpees and $6.99 pizza. I am EXCEPTIONALLY excited about the play ALICE in wonderland this coming weekend. They also have water fountains and bathrooms.

2021-09-27The squirrels here are on steroids, they love french fries. years ago the playground was littered with heroin needles but its been cleaned up and well taken care of. some of the parents are rude and act very entitled. the kids that hangout here everyday are uhhhhhhhhhhhhh awful. great place to have lunch every once in a while but stay near the playground side

2021-08-20I was working and we took 5 bus loads of special needs students there for their lunch and break time. The facilities were more than adequate with plenty of restroom space and tables. More importantly, it was easy to monitor to maintain a safe environment for all those students from UPK to 12th grade high school. Im sure we will use that facility again next year.

2016-12-31Nice park with a nice playground and a nice track. It has a nice grass section and a nice stage. It has nice movies in the park, and nice patrons. Overall, it is a fine park. Not perfect, not bad, but nice.

2021-07-21I wish East Aurora would remove the phone poles in the parking area. When youre parked in a parking spot, the pole is in your blindspot. I backed out and hit a pole. Immediately a neighbor, came running over to console me, saying it happens at least once a week and pointed to all the broken break light plastic all over the ground at each pole. The neighbors frequently nail reflectors to the poles, hoping it makes them more visible but that hasnt worked. It seems the town should be able to put a landscape barrier around each one, or move the poles closer to the grass so folks are dealing with this hazard so frequently.
