Watch your credit card after your stay. They will try to put a random charge on your card and hope you dont notice. I booked through Expedia but after I checked out they have a small charge on my credit card. Ive called multiple times and they cant tell me what the charge was for, but they have refused to refund it. Will have to go through my bank and report it as a fraud charge. Never stay here unless you want the hassle of correcting false charges on your card.
Thermostat was directly accros from AC. So get to temperature quick and shuts off while the room is not. So ac keep turning on and off. Engineer who designed it should sleep in that room to go thru the suffering. Two nights almost sleepless. Never going back there. Being a HH member 12.00 clock check out is complimentary but they refuse the late check out.
Positive: Location Negative: I arrived at 1:30 and rooms are be giving people were there getting their rooms and I had to wait the reception front desk was very rude I am an Hiltons honors member and she did not offer me water I had to ask for it when I got up into the room the room
The staff were so accommodating in booking us a room at the last minute. The rooms were so clean- sealed with a cleaning sticker so you knew you were the first one in! Everything was sanitized including the remote. Labels everywhere for cleanliness standards and options. Great accommodations including in suite products, breakfast, and coffee. Would 10/10 recommend staying here again.
The entire Staff is top notch from Dan and Jose the MGRS, to Lisa and Rachel and Dawn in the front and breakfast area, to Sandra and Melody in Housekeeping, every one made me feel as right as rain, especially Lisa. I was going through a difficult transition and was the purverbial grumpy old man who did nothing but complain, but youd never know it bothered any one.
The location and staff was good the faucet in our shower was dripping all the time was told if you wanted housekeeping to let the front desk know we did that never happen the cereal on the breakfast was stale watery orange juice no Wi-Fi available unless you are a Hilton honors the cap around our shower head was broken the toilet tank was loose some advice maybe they should consider updating the bathrooms most likely would not stay there again somewhat disappointing
You cant ask for a better place to stay in the area. The staff really give it a unique charm though. I unfortunately did not get the name of the ladies working the front end of things, but they were the best. I would come here over any other hotel in the area for them alone.
Our room was spacious and immaculate. You could tell that their housekeeping staff was on its game. They had a daily breakfast buffet which was just okay and didn’t have much of a selection. The hotel did have a 24 hour coffee, tea and hot cocoa bar which we used extensively! Unfortunately, there were some downsides to our stay. Our tub faucet would not turn off even after strongly tightening it. Also, our toilet bowl kept running and our toilet paper holder was broken. We spoke with the AGM, Jose, and he immediately came up to our room upon our checking in, which we greatly appreciated. But, he said he’d “take care of us”, but nothing was done to get us a new room or a maintenance repair visit. The front desk ladies were super friendly and accommodating. Thank you, Tinia (spelling?) and Ebony for your great customer service!
Real great place to stay! Rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was good for a grab and go and it was quiet so you could get a good nights rest. We stayed a few nights and never had any noise complaints. The only small things I noticed were this: the bathroom door is a farm style barn door, and the handle was an open slot. Now if I was alone that wouldn’t bother me but traveling with someone it was kind of weird. So we put a towel in there to close it up just for the privacy. There is no microwave as others have mentioned in other reviews. We didn’t really need a microwave but there was one moment where I thought it would have been nice.Due to the pandemic, they are not cleaning rooms everyday (which we were completely cool with!). But that also means that they were not going to give fresh towels (again, it’s not like at home I get a fresh towel everyday so not a big deal). They did tell us though that if we needed fresh towels to place our dirty ones outside our door and they would grab those and leave fresh ones. So after a couple days we left the dirty towels out, but never got fresh ones back. We did have two towels left which we used until the end of our stay so it wasn’t the end of the world and if we were so desperate we would have gone to the desk to get more but it was odd. We thought maybe another guest took them by mistake. Oh well.Final thing, there was a horrible smell of marijuana throughout the floor we stayed on. We could not smell it in our room (thank goodness). After the second day of opening our door to that, we did report it and when we returned a few hours later the smell was completely gone! Though it was lingering by the front entrance when we checked out, we were grateful that they handled it so quickly.Overall, fantastic place to stay! Will definitely be recommending it to others and will stay here again if ever needed!
Hotel staff was friendly. First room had a strong musty smell so we switched rooms. Halls & lobby are quite warm. There were no snacks available for purchase. Water did not get hot enough & faucet handle kept falling off. Pool was very cold. Front desk clerk on morning of departure was examining my sons car that he parked for only minutes under the covering before 5am so myself & his grandmother could put our luggage in the car since it was raining. Ive worked at a Hampton Inn before & they are normally quite nice but this property has some work to do. I also think side doors should remain locked with key access only for safety.
Positive: Good location. They did accommodate me when I asked to be moved to another room. Negative: There was a person across the hall with music playing with his door open and his dog freely roaming the hallway - it looked like he was a long term resident - I asked to be moved. I can¿t see that anyone given a room close by would be able to sleep.
Old outdated facility with limited amenities. Faucet handle literally came off in my hand and when presented to the manage I received an Oh Ill have maintenance fix Not an apology or even really any remorse for the issue. For an area as high traffic as the Albany airport I expected more. No Hot tub and indoor pool as cold as most outdoor pools. Beds are outdated as well and need replacement. Ive stayed at much nicer lower tiered hotels.
For those planning to ride the Hampton Inn & Suites ALB airport shuttle, please note:22oct2021 ~21:00 my spouse and i arrived ALB. i called Front-Desk, Hampton Inn & Suites ALB for their free airport shuttle, and i was told that the hotel had recently discontinued their free airport shuttle. Next morning, when i was at ALB to pick-up my rental vehicle, i dropped by the Airport Information counter to seek more information on the availability of ALB hotel(s) airport shuttle. The Customer Service got out a ALB brochure that (also) listed the hotels, its prices, facilities and amenities. And the information for the Hampton Inn & Suites ALB showed the free airport shuttle is available. The Customer Service was surprised to hear (from me) that Hampton Inn & Suites ALB had recently discontinued the free airport shuttle. Btw, some online hotel reservation websites also state Hampton Inn & Suites ALB has providing the free airport shuttle. Other than this hiccup, our stay at Hampton Inn & Suites ALB was alright .. nice and clean room.
We still have one more night here, but so far its been really awesome. The staff is very friendly and fun. The hotel is immaculate. We just had breakfast and it was really good. Not your average hotel breakfast. They had fresh squeezed natural greens and mango/peach juice, chicken apple sausage and omelettes. Good stuff. Just a great experience. Oh! Dont forget the delicious fresh baked cookies! I wish I new the gents name that checked us in last night, he was so awesome!
Positive: Nice Clean Pool Negative: I was told at checkout that there was a sticker on bathroom mirror requiring guests to request cleaning services We never saw that and had to set trash out everyday and go to desk everyday for clean towels No sign for smoking are. we found it last day
My family had a great experience here. Hotel was very clean. Ac was very effective at cooling the room. The pool was a nice size. We had to leave before breakfast, but the staff actually ran out to the parking lot as we were leaving and gave us to go bags of breakfast food with an apple, muffin, water, and granola bar. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.
Clean room & bathroom complimentary flavored tea, water, Arabic coffee in the lobby and a friendly staff. Mohammed (Front desk) greeter was super helpful. The indoor pool had an Out of Order sign. Inconvenient! I selected this hotel to get laps in. COVID 19 wasnt the excuse. I visited two other hotels during this pandemic that had open pool & followed a schedule.
Nice hotel. They let me stay in my room a few extra hours, and then in the lobby with cocoa, tea, coffee and donuts while I waited for my husband to return from a meeting. Breakfast was very nice, except for the cheese omlette, which I actually had to throw out . The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. Everything was nice. Its just not a 5 star hotel, but its great for what it is! I would definitely recommend it.
We almost always stay at this hotel when we visit the Capital District, where I am proud to be originally from. I cannot say enough great things about this place. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. And when we stayed there last August, which is definitely one of the busiest months in the region, Jen was nice enough to let us stay on the top floor which was just renovated. Even before the renovation, the rooms were fine. And the other people at the front desk were friendly and helpful. And so were the people at the breakfast bar. Even the housekeeping staff was friendly. And the General Manager Len, who was not there that time, always remembers us. The location is convenient to local attractions, restaurants, shopping and the airport.
Pretty much always the same experience at Hampton Inn. Thats a good thing. Great place to stay for business travel. I like the couch in the king room. The breakfast gets a little tired when here for a long stay, but its better than breakfast at just about any comparable hotel.Room service is thorough. Front desk service is friendly and quick. Ample parking.
Friendly, helpful staff, immaculate rooms and public areas. After several unpleasant stays at other large chain hotels in the area, we were delighted to find this hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The staff is excellent ! We tried a recommendation for dinner at a local restaurant and enjoyed and excellent meal, too. Can;t say enough about how helpful and pleasant the front desk staff was. Highly recommended!
Nice place. Very convenient. Theyve updated recently so the rooms are very nice. If you show up late and you need something to eat I would definitely recommend to Cumberland farms across the street. Everything was fresh and good I got a nice sandwich and then I went to sleep.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, quiet hotel and the rooms are rather sound proof. The in-room furniture and bed were very comfortable. There is a mini-fridge and microwave in the room as well as an iron w/ board and luggage rack/stand. Continental breakfast runs from 6a-10a and also included some hot items (eggs, potatoes and sausage the day we went down but may vary). There is ample parking and a picnic table out front in a shady area. The Wendys next door had well made burgers and chicken sandwiches both nights we went over for a snack as well. There is no hot tub in the pool area, but thats not enough to drop a star. The pool itself was a comfortable temperature, wasnt over-chlorinated and didnt have that odd taste some hotel pools have.Overall, this hotel is one I would gladly come back to. You get what you pay for and at $120/night this hotel was worth the money.
The property felt spacious and clean during our overnight stay the bathroom used up pocket door shared with the closet which was a little strange everyone appreciated the included breakfast. This property is located very close to a Cumberland Farms Starbucks Dunkin Donuts and about a half mile away from a Shoppers Plaza with a proper grocery store sporting good store Etc. One of the floors of the property was under renovation while we stayed but we did not hear any noise overall clean quiet comfortable stay; would recommend.
Cozy, comfy beds. Clean room. Clean, well appointed spacious bathroom. Large tv.Hotel was a little loud; we could hear every thump and boom upstairs and on either side.Breakfast was a typical hampton breakfast; eggs, undercooked bacon, potatoes, waffles, cereals, pastries, etc. The dining room was very spacious for a Hampton, and very clean.
I usually like Hampton Inns and they have consistently delivered a great hotel stay until now. We’ve been here one night and have been underwhelmed. We’re on the first floor and the ice machines on the 1st and 2nd floors are broken (the 3rd floor machine works). The toilet didn’t flush when we arrived but they dispatched a maintenance guy and it’s been ok since. The parking lot flood lights are directed at the building and shines through the window coverings all night. The floors are sticky. Two outlets in the bathroom don’t work. There is no storage for clothes/bathroom stuff. The ceiling is peeling in the bathroom. There’s a general dinginess to the room. These might seem like small issues and in reality they are. But as part of the Hilton group I expected more. Also it’s not like we’re paying Motel 6 prices. I expected more.
Actually that is pictures of the fully cleaned and disinfected room including bathtub. I wonder if housekeepers just labeled sticker that Hilton standards-based cleaning or just have been with very low vision and no medical insurance. Shame on you, housekeepers at that location. What else i can say? Do your job good because COVID-19 survivors depends on you if you dont like to clean just simply quit a job. Personally i would discharge you with no UI benefits and go through courts to proof that you deserve it...like HMS host and Equifax did to me almost for one year.😀😀😀
Wonderful experience with this Hampton Inn. I got stuck overnight in Albany as my flight to La Guardia was diverted due to weather issues. This hotel has the typical good quality accommodations of many Hampton Inns. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, nice amenities and breakfast. What sets this hotel apart is the personnel. From the guy who checked me in and gave me a tooth brush to the housekeepers who both smiled & greeted me in the hallways, to the young lady who pleasently checked me out to the woman shuttle driver who brought me back to the airport...all made me feel valued & welcomed. I certainly appreciated the treatment after a harrowing day in the air and afternoon/evening in the Albany airport! There are 2 Airport Hampton Inns, be sure to go to the one on British American Blvd.
Requested 2 rooms with 2 double beds. For some reason they were not available. While i was upgraded to two rooms with king size beds, it wasnt what i needed or asked for for certain reasons. Matresses were really bad. Pullouts are never good to begin with. I would have liked a call or email stating the status of my requested roomshad changed to make other arrangements.

2022-01-25Honestly I was very shocked that I actually liked this hotel. Me and my mom stayed the night and the service there was great. The staff was great and the breakfast was very good. The front desk receptionist Lisa was so cool and very attentive. She mad sure our breakfast was on point and she also helped me with my room. Very nice. And the housekeeper was very respectful. This will be my go two place when I’m in the area.

2022-06-16Over all a decent hotel, especially for the price! The location was close enough to the airport that it wasnt a headache getting in and out. Staff were very nice and accommodating as they could be. Bed was comfortable and the pillows were great. The blackout curtains worked like a charm. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for something close to the airport and easy access to the free way!

2022-02-11Really clean and nice hotel. Customer service was really really great. My flt landed super early ( 10am) and I didnt have a problem in early check in. Very courteous and helpful. I called the day before and spoke to Karen and she assured me everything will be ok. I came in and Ebony was at the desk and she was just as nice.

2022-03-24My husband stayed with an employee of his on March 23-24 for a last min. business trip. Online reviews were not bad, better than others so he took a chance. The beds were not comfortable and there was no hot water to shower at 4am! This is not acceptable for a hotel of this size. The previous week he stayed at another local, comparable hotel that he loved, but there were no rooms available this time. Very disappointing.

2022-06-11Bed was so uncomfortable Ill be feeling it next week, actually surprised people in reviews think they are comfortable. Maybe my bed is an old one. Faucet handle literally fell off. The bathtub is old and outdated, with peeling caulking. The room design itself is really cute. The staff are really nice.

2022-05-10It was ok. Most of the front desk people were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately when there was a snow storm that knocked down the power, the person at the front desk was most unhelpful. They did not have Ann the emergency lights on in the stairwells and it was very dark and unsafe in one.

2022-02-26Very peaceful stay. Cheerful front desk receptionist Lisa was very kind. Her energy just made the experience much better. Breakfast was ok just need to tidy it up a little more but overall good.

2022-04-28Clean rooms. Quiet. Friendly staff. Good breakfast, complimentary. No restaurant on premise. Pool could use more attention and towels that actually fit a human (they are extremely small).
