Positive: The young gentleman who checked me in was friendly. Checking in was fast and easy. I like the area where the hotel is located near the highway, and it was quiet for the small amount of time that I was in the room. Negative: The hotel room smelled like smoke. I am sorry but I could not take the smell. I know that housekeeping had no issues because I had left and stayed at a loved ones home for the night. I returned in the morning for breakfast that honestly was not the best.
This was the most frustrating hotel experience I’ve ever endured. I reserved three rooms that were part of a room block for a family wedding months in advance over the phone. I called the night before traveling because I needed to cancel one rm due to my bf getting Covid. When I called, I was told I didn’t have a reservation! After going in circles for minutes with the woman on the phone, I said she just needed to get me two rooms at the room block price. She said she couldn’t do that but had two rooms available (they were going to cost me 2x the amount!). I told her she needed to patch me through to management because this was their mistake, yet I recognized she didn’t have the authority or ability to override anything on her end. So then I went through the same game with the hotel front desk, her saying I didn’t have a reservation. I said that’s been established, and since this is your mistake, all I’m asking for is two rooms at the discounted price. She then put me on with the general manager who listened to me and said he’d override the standard amount and promised me I had two rooms at the $90/night price and he gave me the confirmation numbers. Fast forward 24hrs, and my family checked into the hotel and was charged the wrong amount! $190/room! And there was no manager on duty to fix it, so we’re still waiting for a refund. Absolutely ridiculous! From the woman strong arming me to sign up to be a Hilton rewards member and then losing my reservation, to then the manager still not fixing the problem. I get that mistakes happen, but this was a family wedding and had my boyfriend and I not come down with Covid and called, we wouldn’t have had rooms! In my opinion, more than a refund should happen for this headache!
Disgusting! There were several roaches EVERYWHERE!!!! The room was musty. The AC was just wall decoration because the room was a furnace! The tub was stained and gross. The refrigerator another joke! Didn’t refrigerate anything. Stains on the walls honestly looked like blood splatters. Can I leave zero stars? Absolutely. Absolutely disgusting. Stay FAR away from here if you like your cleanliness and health.
They seem to be struggling with staffing at this property. Im giving them the benefit of the doubt. Room had a bloody towel in a dresser drawer, used soap in the bathtub, half used little toiletry bottles, no towels available on request - theyre all in the laundry. Unresponsive front desk staff. When other guest with me asked for something the staff member just looked at her and said nothing! She had to ask three times before the woman took action. All without saying one word! Best thing about the stay was the hot breakfast. Signs everywhere said it would not be available, only grab and go which I figured would be a muffin and coffee. Instead they had a full buffet with eggs, bacon, potatoes, etc. Nothing fancy but all good and frequently replenished. And very nice, helpful staff. That made up for a lot of the other failures in my book! Hilton next door really did have only grab and go which they charged for! I think if they were fully staffed with trained workers things would be much better. But at this time DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Positive: The room was excellent. Nice layout, couch and bed quite comfortable. Great location to anywhere in the area. Staff friendly. Negative: For some reason neither my laptop nor phone could use the Wifi. The staff tried, but none of us could resolve it. You might want to verify you can sign-on before you check-in.
Worst hotel experience of my life, I would t recommend this place to my worst enemy. We check into the room, it’s 77 in the room on a 66 degree day. We turn the air on, set to 65 and go to dinner. Come back 3 hours later and the room is still 77. We call the front desk to complain about the broken AC and they proceed to tell us “we don’t have air conditioning” and the recommended that we “turn the unit off and hope for the best… What nonsense is that? How is this place even in business?
I would give a higher rating except for the temperature in the room. It was 80°. When I asked at the front desk how to make it cooler, I was told nothing could be done. I mentioned that even a fan would help, the clerk just shrugged and said sorry, nothing could be done. It was too hot to sleep and I was up most of the night. This was unacceptable, something could have been done, even changing rooms.
Positive: it was close to the event we were attending. Negative: Our initial room smelled musty. We got headaches instantly. candy on the floor in our first room. second room smelled like marajuana smoked in the bathroom. toddler found a used toothbrush in the dresser.
Drain the shower didnt work and the spout for the bathroom was stuck in the shower position. Not good when I had 2 little kids that needed a bath. However, staff was super. We needed towels and more shampoo, they were at our door in 5 minutes. Our rooms were 2 warm, they found us fans within 10 minutes.
Because I’ve stayed at a couple other Hampton Inns my expectations were much higher. The shower head looked like someone walked next door to Home Depot and bought the cheapest one available, the toilet paper dispenser was about to fall off the wall, wallpaper was peeling everywhere. Not the worst room I’ve stayed in, but far from the nicest. Quite disappointed.
Positive: clean room, reasonably well maintained. swimming pool was actually open! Unlike some other recent experiences we have had. Negative: we were given room next to managers office. They were making noise at 2 am. maid service was promised but never done. there were few guests one night. they were economizing on breakfast by not providing much. we had to beg for toast and bacon.
Positive: It had an excellent location for our trip to MSK. Negative: Our coffee maker was missing a part and the staff was not able to replace it. Our biggest complaint is that the bottom fitted sheet did not fit the mattress. It only came down the side about 1. It kept coming off and we ended up sleeping on the mattres
Our experience was unnerving and very upsetting. We arrived and was greeted at front desk by a very disrespectful young 20ish man. His characterization of me to my wife as Oh is he your old man was inappropriate and distasteful. In a social setting with his peers and contemporaries this might be acceptable. This was a business encounter and was totally unacceptable. About 3 hours later we heard a key card sliding and the door to our room opens. It would have opened fully if we had not put the stopper latch in place. I yelled to the uninvited intruder who then immediately apologized shut the door and left. Around 1130pm while we trying to go to sleep, we heard the door opening again. I yelled out and this intruder announced that he was from housekeeping. I believe he should have called the room, then knocked before just trying to enter. We were later told that room was listed as unoccupied and needing to be cleaned. Well this was just too much and we checked out. We drove home in the rain for 3 hrs. We were exhausted after a long day but not about to stay another minute in this place. Best advice; BE CAREFUL, BE CAUTIOUS, .......... STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Not as bad as the worst reviews might lead you to believe but too many mechanical, supplies, repair, etc problems to itemize (see other reviews) here. Room was still acceptably clean by my fairly low standards, breakfast was an embarrassment for a name-brand property. Staff were friendly but not terribly helpful - theyre not left in a position/empowered to really assist or resolve issues like I encountered. Still, better option than some other nearby choices although I doubt I would choose to stay here again. Fine for a night off the highway.
I extremely doubt Ill be staying at this Hotel anymore. They charge you the same price for a disgusting room as for the king sized suite I was originally suppose to stay in. The room they gave me was a handicap accessible room that smelled, had no microwave, do not disturb sign, paper or pen,and a working in room coffee pot.
Horrible experience, check in was a 3pm, room wasnt ready til 730pm. Went out to my car and then couldnt get into the room because door lock was broken, it took 30 minutes for maintenance to open the door and when I told the women I wanted to just check out and get a refund because I didnt even settle into my room and it was already 8pm she refused to get me a manager and gave me the wrong number for customer service and when I did reach customer service they kept hanging up or telling me they couldnt help. Worst hotel and experience
Bad facility. Staff did not care that people were complaining that there were no lights in the parking lot. I dont think they really had cleaned the room as there was plastic bottle tops under the desk and other dirt on the floor. The beds, pillows and mattresses were uncomfortable and were not even made well. Sheets were not even tucked in. Had booked two nights but after the staff did not care about anything I went and found someplace else to stay for the second night.
The lobby light fixture had a huge spider web on it, apparently, noone is cleaning the light fixtures. The breakfast was minimal. Saturday there was enough bagels and plates, but Sunday morning , i had to go in and ask the woman for paper plates, and she gave us Halloween cake plates for breakfast. The eggs were cold both mornings. one of the employees filled his plate with bacon so there was none for us guests. really tacky and low class. The rug wasnt completely vacuumed in my room and there was only one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, noone bothered to replace the 2nd roll which was empty. the wallpaper is coming off the walls in the bathroom.
Terrible service. The front desk has no idea what they are doing. Asked for tissues, said they have none. Asked for more toilet paper was questioned why? Breakfast is a joke. No housekeeping unless asked 24 hours in advanced. Ask yesterday for today and was told nonsense. Now I’m here a third night and having to change both beds myself with my newborn in the room. I have lots of garbage in my room and dirty towels that have to sit in the bathroom until we check out?
Positive: Dead plants were a tip off. Room AC didnt, room hot and stuffy. Last visit the TV didnt work and the first floor ice machine was leaking water. Continental breakfast was pathetic, juice machine was out of order and there wasnt much selection. Negative: See above comments. Worst place I have stayed in very many years.
Positive: Check out and in was swift Negative: The breakfast was included but we got a bagel with cream cheese. We were expecting a buffet with fresh fruit, eggs and pancakes. There was no choice since the buffet section was closed. So we spent $30 at a diner. I guess there were Covid restrictions.
The room was extremely hot and the AC did not work properly, the vending machine had 3 choices of soda only with one bottle of each, and the complementary “hot breakfast” was anything but hot and there was barely any choices. I’m sorry but for $166 for one night I expected a better experience.
Room was not clean and fresh. Heavy smell of mildew. Toilet seat broke. A broken strip of marble between rug and tile floor, tripped and almost feel. Faucet in bathroom almost broken. Sheets on bed did not feel fresh. Called my Hilton Honors and had to switch to another Hilton Hotel...
Normally I would have no problem with hotels under the Hilton umbrella. I checked in after a long work day and when I took my shoes off, I realized that the entire carpet was wet. I am not certain whether or not there was a leak in the ceiling based a/c or that the carpet was cleaned the night before. To be entirely fair, I did not report it to the front desk until the next morning simply because I was just too exhausted to do so at that point. StilI, I believe that housekeeping in this location should be a little more vigilant in room upkeep.
Dont bother staying here. Bathroom was pretty gross. We had 2 towels for 3 adults? Yes we got more, but the mold in the shower and the fact that the wood vanity had dirty splashes and drips ( white) showed it had never been wiped down. Sheets didnt stay on the bed at ALL. If I had paid a budget price Id expect this... but at $200 @ night it was disappointing to say the least.
We faced several issues during our stay which caused a lot of inconvenience to me and my family. We were travelling with a kid as well. 1. There were not enough towels provided. We booked the room for 4 adults and 1 infant and were provided only 2 towels. When we asked for more, they said its out of stock. My brother in law had to commute at late night to get extra towels from nearby store. 2. Checkin was delayed by 40min. We reached at 3.30 pm for 3pm checkin and made to wait for 10-15 min. 3. The AC was not working properly. We set it to lower temperature but the room was not cold enough. 4. The beds were not organized well enough. The pillows was just covered with pillow shams and was missing pillow case covers.
Positive: Hotel employee is a gem. She was the only one staffing the front desk when I checked in and was pulled in several different directions at once. She maintained her poise, professionalism, and willingness to help and resolved everything with a smile. Negative: My room, 302, needed some updating. There was water damage at the baseboard under the thermostat in the room. And a small hole at the top of the wall in the doorway where someone had pushed the door wide open and the pneumatic arm hit. No microwave.
Not worth the money. The staff is inexperienced. We had several issues while staying overnight which included outlets not working, the microwave beeping incessantly, the pool being closed, and the breakfast being way under par. Will definitely not choose to stay here again.
Very dirty hotel, a motel is more clean and smells better. Just had a horrible experience with this place and I’ll make sure to post reviews about the filthy hotel everywhere I can. Booked a king size bed went to the room it wasn’t cleaned after the last visitor, elevator wasn’t working which is ok it happens but ended up in a room with queen bed and smells like a dirty old carpet. I don’t recommend this place to any one.
Strange situation for me as Hampton Inn is a hotel where I stay regularly. This time the room had some issues with bedding and bathroom towels and toiletries. The bed only had the comforter, no bed cover sheet or blanket and nothing in the bathroom. No towels at all. Had to ask front desk for all items which were brought to the room but I had to do all the fixing of the bed. Again very unusual situation. If the personnel is going to clean the room then everything should be taken care off.Not happy at all with service this time around.
Arrived on Friday evening. I had booked through Expedia. First red flag was the guy behind the counter tried to double charge me. I explained I already had paid. He did not believe me insisting I need to pay $394. I showed him my Expedia which showed I had prepaid. He then and only then said no problem. Get to the room and it’s 80 degrees. I ask for someone to come up to address the issue. No one did. Also my room had no towels. Just 2 hand towels. Again, bring it to their attention. No one brings up the towels. Next day I go to the lobby and ask for some towels. Was told they are doing laundry but someone will bring them up. At this point I desperately need to shower so I did and “dried” off with a hand towel. Go back down. Explain there are 3 of us in the room and no proper towels. They send the JANITOR to look for them!! Comes back 35 minutes later with 2 towels!!! Seriously, for 3 nights 3 guests and they only give me 2 paper thin towels.Never staying at a Hampton Inn again. I suggest you avoid this hotel like the plague.
They gave me the wrong room accommodations. I placed an order for two rooms with double beds and once I got there, they told me that my booking showed one room with double bed and one king. I showed them the email from booking.com which clearly showed my original request. They did not change me to a better room. The room I was in smelled and the ac was not working properly. The bed was not comfortable and even the pillows were horrible. The pillows and bed may look comfortable but dont let the setup fool you. It was terrible. I found it funny that there was a sign in the front stating 100 percent customer satisfaction but they couldnt accommodate me even after going to the concierge several times. Horrible vacation experience. Total waste of my time and money.
A little disappointed by the condition of the bathroom in our room. Black mold all along the shower door tracks and the handicap bars in the shower. Also work had been done in the ceiling right outside the room we were given (which was not the original room I checked in online for) and all during the night there was a constant running noise that sounded like something was constantly trying to go on. It wasnt our a/c unit because it kept going on. The carpeting in the elevator was terrible and the hallways in the hotel were extremely warm, no air circulation. As a gold member we were not offered any of the rewards, had to ask for water.
I stayed from March 19th-21st. The Bed was fairly comfortable. The heat was not adjusting well, so the room was cold throughout the night. Also the lounge chair was filled with remains of raisins and chips from the party before I arrived. Which means things were overlooked during cleaning. The jets were barely working in the whirlpool. I had to request wash cloths because none were available in bathroom. I have stayed at many Hilton residences. But this was the worse 1. Lets not forget I was not expecting the grab and go breakfast bag with no coffee available.
Positive: Nothing Negative: I have been staying at Hampton inn exclusively for over 20 years and this one was the most disgusting hotel I have ever seen. The filth was evident in the hallways, the breakfast buffet, the rooms. There were eggs in the counters, sticky gunk on the floor
Would like to give a negative review. The hotel is extremely dated and needs a major makeover. There were visible badly patched holes on the walls. There was black mold in the bathroom of room 321. Between the mold on the ceiling, patches on walls and rust, the owners should be embarrassed to have customers stay in this room.Do not stay there. Premium prices for a dilapidated hotel where the staff does not care....
Pool out of order, elevator broken for 3 days, trouble getting towels. One night came back to room left open and bed stripped, garbage still there and personal shampoos and soaps gone. Hotel said no sheets and had to move us to another room. Next couple nights had to request towel and washcloths because only 1 towel in room. Of course no washcloths again. Not good!
Let me first start by saying the staff was AMAZING!!! Everyone we encountered was so polite & professional the gentleman that checked us in & ultimately delt with all our complaints couldnt have been more professional. Unfortunately our stay was not ideal. We travel every weekend and we thought this hotel would be a great alternative to the other hotels we usually stay at. We were very disappointed. When we arrived well past the 3 pm check in time, we were told our room wasnt ready and we had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes. When we finally got to the room (227) it was very clean & everything was as expected except the AC was blowing out warm air. It was very humid out so we gave it a little while. After 2 hours we couldnt take it anymore and I called the front desk. They advised that several rooms were having AC issues and the engineer was gone for the evening, there were no more fans & the hotel was booked to capacity so they were unable to switch rooms. We toughed it out for the evening and when we left in the AM (after carrying all our filming equipment down the stairs because the elevator was broken)we were told that the AC would be looked at. When we arrived back 5 hours later the room was even hotter and again we were told it was a Hotel wide issue and the technicians would be there to service the AC sometime during the week. So we had to suffer another night. After filming on a hot field for 5-7 hours each day the last thing we wanted to hear was there was no AC in our hotel room. The fact that the pool was out of order, the washing machine was broken and 2 of the 3 ice machines were broken as well only added to our frustration. We are in this area every weekend & we were looking for a permanent hotel to hold a standing reservation at, unfortunately I dont think it will be this one. The staff was the best part of our stay. Very disappointing!
Arrived @ 2:45 for 3:00 check-in. We were told there would be at least an hour wait for our room. After strenuous complaining we were finally given a roomThere is an awful smell in the room (probably a cheap Sanitizer/deodorizer )Minimum number of towelsSticky bathroom floorSheets were wrinkled, did not seem freshCould not get room coolIn-room Coffee was terribleOne lamp did not workI always thought that Hilton properties were Upscale, Not this one! It was bare-bones and overpriced. We will avoid Hilton Properties in the future!
I reserved a room a week in advance. I get there. They charge me another 100 for the room, then Im just standing there for minutes. Nobodys giving me my room key.I asked whats happening and they reply theyre getting my room ready. I wait a few more minutes and asked whats the hold up. They reply with a condescending tone, they have only 2 housekeeping staff, and I say I had my room reserved for a week. The lady guesses itll be 30 extra minutes to prepare my room, which would be an extra hour total. I reserved my room for 3pm. Itll almost 4pm now.The staff was condescending, rude, and never apologized. If they were honest and explained anything to me when I first arrived maybe I could have worked with them.I ended up getting a refund and staying somewhere else. Never again.
Horrible experience. No welcome upon entering the hotel lobby. The elevator was working, but looked unclean and sketchy.Upon entering our 3rd floor room, we noticed debris accumulated on every surface. This white powder on door knobs, faucets, hooks was similar to the powder from drywall during construction, however, there were no signs of holes/construction anywhere. We could not hang our towels on any surface due to the powder. Again, we were on the third floor so there were no guests walking above us causing this settlement to fall. The dust layer was just as thick on tables and shelves as well.We could hear everything from our neighbor’s room. No sound barrier at all. We could hear everything from his conversation to a sneeze to his tv.We had 1 washcloth, 1 handtowel, and 2 bath towels upon arrival for 2 guests. When we requested new towels, housekeeping negotiated with us. We had to return 2 bath towels and a hand towel to receive 1 bath towel and a washcloth.I would not recommend staying here at all. Horrible experience. Thankfully we didnt leave with any bedbugs.
Do NOT stay here! I understand that procedures are different now due to Covid, but I’ve asked for room service (24 hours in advance) two days in a row and have come back to a dirty room. We have had to ask for clean towels multiple times only to be told that they didn’t have any clean towels available. Then the next day only received 2 towels and 1 washcloth for my family of 4. The floor in the room is dirty. The “air conditioning” is more like a swamp cooler and does not completely cool the rooms. And that doesn’t even cover the bathroom door that is warped with water damage and dirty with what looks like mold. I honestly wish I could give zero stars. My experience here has been absolutely terrible & I will NEVER be back.
Dont go there. Book somewhere else. If you did, check your room before you unpack. My room had a pair of shoes, a empty juice pouch, and random trash from the previous guests. My coworkers room had someone else sleeping in the bed. It was beyond horrifying for my coworker and the people who were sleeping in the room. After you unpack, dead bolt your door!
Girlfriend Couldnt sleep because the room was insanely hot. Come morning I find out that its regulated by the staff. Ive never heard of a hotel that I couldnt control the temperature in. Ive even worked at a hotel in Olean, NY-- which is in the middle of nowhere and you can adjust the temperature. We wont be returning once we finish this stay.
My room was in horrible condition. Once approaching room the seal was not fully on door. Then entering there was a strong smell. I look to the left and there blood on the walls. I go into bathroom the tub has dirt stains (was told my manager of hotel that the tubs need to be replaced that the stains dont come off that still no excuse). Use toilet paper roll left. A/c barley felt it was on due to the dustyness. Headboards was really dusty. Bed sheets dirty with stains. Front desk tried help as much but was still a horrible experience. I never experience something like this as a diamond member. (WHICH I NEVER THREW AROUND)
Positive: Location was close to the Palisades Park Mall Negative: AC didn¿t work in the room, pool was not open, mold see. in the room by the AC vent, mattress was very old and bedding didn¿t fit, no breakfast available at 9:15am, staff was unable to help resolve issues, no mgmt available to help either.
Required a $100 damage deposit at check in which was a surprise. There was no mention of the deposit when we booked the room through the Hilton website. Room was well worn and the free breakfast was basically non existent. Appears the staff responsible was late getting to work. Hotel location was conevnient as it was close to the highway although the driveway was ackward.
Why one star you ask? Let’s start with the rat feces. We discovered that gem when trying to figure out why the phone didn’t work. Turns out they chewed through the wires. At this point the food in the microwave and the razor cap in the bathtub almost seems tame. Do I really need to elaborate further? ....no probably not....
I reserved a room for 2. The room only had one cup (for coffee and cold). The room had one towel. When I asked for more they said they did not have any more. The pool was closed but there was nothing on the website about that nor any signs. The hotel itself could use some upgrades, it is older.
Be aware of a $200 incidental fee on a $80 room. I was shocked to have travelled 2hrs to find this out at check in. The explanation was they have had rowdy guests in the past so therefore I had to pay an additional $200 just in case the tv fell down. I have stayed at hotels up and down the east coast and never experienced anything like this. Although the staff was very nice trust me the Tv or anything else in the room was not worth $200. Everything was closed in hotel ,pool , lobby breakfast etc. And was not worth the price of admission. I will choose not to stay here again. Again staff was great but company policys are not.
My stay at this hotel was horrible. I would not stay there again. My room was dirty and noisy. There was only one of each type of towel in the room, and we were told that we could not get any more. There was no iron. Then I was overcharged by nearly $150 when I checked out. (The overcharge was refunded after I called when I got home.) If I had a choice, I would not even give this hotel one star.
Internet was down for hours. Though staff understood my frustrations, there was no offer of discount. I hate paying for services I dont receive, and it really messed up my work day. I also dont think anyone should have to ask for a discount. Internet is last of what people are paying for. Secondly, the state of the toilet in my room upon inspection seriously made me question the cleanliness of any part of my room upon arrival. There was about an inch of blackness under the lip of the toilet. I didnt ask for new room upon arrival because I was there to crank out some work in 3 days and my time was precious....thwarted by internet being down anyway. Wont return.
Booked this place on AIRBNB, rented a car up from nyc, got to the hotel, and got told they had no idea we booked there. They had no reservation, and pushed all the blame to Airbnb, after having sent a confirmation message to my phone. Airbnb, decides to tell us, stranded in the middle of nowhere, that theyll send money back in 15 days, when it took 5 minutes to take my money. Terrible service. Dont bother.
We had a bad experience staying there for 1 night (7/3/21). Around 10PM of our stay, we discovered the bathtub was clogged after first person of our group took a shower. Called the front desk, the first person told us he would put down the problem, and the engineer was coming to look into it the next day. I told the person I stayed there for 1 night, how would this solve my problem? He later said he was going to contact the engineer “now”. Waited till 11:10 PM, I went down to the front desk and talked to a 2nd person (Marleni), she did not seem to know the issue I reported earlier. But she did offer to relocate us to a nearby hotel since they were full. Ultimately, she found us another room at the same hotel and offered some discount to our stay. The low rating was directed to the poor management on the first person that I spoke to. As of today, it appeared the discount had not yet been applied.
A tragedy under the Hilton name. The staff is untrained. The rooms are filthy with remnants of prior guest EVERYWHERE. The linens should be donated to the homeless without the tax write-off. And there is definitely an inventory issue with rooms. Disappointment is an understatement.
This was our 2nd time here in a year. Last summer, our stay was terrific, so we booked it again. The second time I was a little disappointed. First, I checked in the day before on the app, and specified 3pm, the normal check in time. We couldn’t check in until almost 4 pm. We literally had to sit around, tired from driving. When they first told us it wasn’t ready, we were told 30 mins. It was a whole hour we waited. When the front desk told the cleaning lady to clean it that we were waiting, she walked through the lobby, giving us a dirty look. We we got to our room, it wasn’t very clean. There was mold in the bathroom on the walls, and after spilling water in the bathroom, I used a towel to wipe it up. The towel was black after I wiped the floor. Also it took forever for the water to heat up for a shower and to wash our hands. Also, the walls looks very old and aged. We were in room 120. Also the sofa bed had no bedding. We had to ask for it. And there were only 2 towels for a room the slept 3.
Very sad!! Always loved Hampton inn hotels but this one is making me second guess spending more to stay with them. The room smells musty and damp. No vending machine or even water bottles, shades don’t close, no breakfast(I understand it’s grab and go but doesn’t accommodate special diets), just a sad Hampton in. Had to drive a few miles at night just for a drink. Only reason it gets 1 star is because the staff was friendly and I can’t leave 0.
Lobby dark and dingy. Was handed towels at front desk, room was dirty, shower disgusting, there flakes of dead skin all over desk and chair. Dust on all surfaces. We left hotel and did not stay. I was told I would not be charged for room, I was anyways, now I have to deal with that. Bummed.
Went to hampton inn, found a bed bug, checked out, they transfered us over to the hilton garden inn, that was nice of them to do that, (because of the bed bugs), the hilton garden inn did not give us enough towels and wash cloths, for 4 people, for a six day stay, need more towels and wash cloths for guess not a pleasant stay
Would never go back, the same speed I got in there, was the same speed or faster I got out! Where should I start, from the messy, non-vacuumed elevator, molded bathroom, the unsanitary mattress, to the smell in the room that was extremely unpleasant. Everything was outdated, they might as well put one of those old box television in it to make it complete. I couldn’t tell if I was at a motel or hotel. It was so dark outside, where are the lights?
I know this is Hiltons 3 star low expense hotel. I know this is a tough time with hotels and ends start to reawaken, but Since they cant have all of the amenities normally associated with their inns. Veiny to pay closer attention to the things that they can offer and do. Make sure the presentation of the Room is as it should be including a little details like making sure it has both kinds of coffee, Keep the Internet up and running properly and , especially now, make sure the bedding is changed after every guest
If I could give one star I would. Just nasty, room feels dirty even though it was sealed to show proper cleaning/sanitizing was done. Thats not rust, thats mold. The remote control for the TV had a horrible smell had to wipe it down several times before use....just nasty! On the upside, the staff is nice.Update: Spoke to Mr. Gonzalez, the AGM, he was really apologetic. He offered a new room which was much cleaner, you could literally feel the cleanliness of the room and comped a night. This hotel has a long way to go in terms of maintenance and cleanliness. Im updating my stars just because of the excellent customer service.
Every day TV went out.Curtins were so dirty, WIFI was Horrible! Shower kept backinking up. Had to go to front desk for towels, shampoo, toilet paper, trash bags!If I need to clean I could have stayed home and not cost over100.00 a night! Plus wall paper peeling in several spots! DO NOT STAY HERE! Hilton name but not Hilton quality!
The worst experience. dirty, my room was not ready for check. no shuttle service. dirty. No hot breakfast although that is one reason i booked them. On the website stated hot breakfast, even during COVOD/ No manager on site. The hot tub in room didnt work either. My husband and I dont get out often enough, so i was hoping for a nice evening. Totally ruined, Thanks Hampton Inn!
I love Hampton. And there see is are amazing. But today I saw how poor their service can be. My and my family came into a room smelling of smoke. It was dirty, wholes in the wall, paint on the rug, sheets stained, towels stained, and the view was disappointing. Worst Of all, the room we booked was not ready. So we were transferred here. And the most unbelievable thing was discovered. In one of our drawers was weed! The sign says they clean and asked not to smoke. How is it possible that it was cleaned if weed was In the drawers? The was highly disappointing. And everything had dust. I was shocked . This Hampton in Nanuet needs to change something. Because before it was the best place ever. Or does the rooms define the whole hotel? If you want people to come to your hotel please ensure that every room is in shape and treat you costumers royally. Thank you.
A great visit. Very clean hotel and breakfast was great. Friendly and helpful staff. 4of5 because of a few minor maintenance things, AC in my room worked but was wonky, TV in fitness room didnt work and my closet door wouldnt stay shut. Minor stuff. I would stay again.
Hotel staff was adequately friendly and accommodating. Our room was fine except the bathroom was not cleaned very well and not fully stocked. I noticed the toilet seat had a tacky feel and droplets of some nature all over it. Im not one to fuss so I clean it myself with soap and water, but that was gross. Also, the normal supplies were not fully stocked, we were missing shampoo and a set of towels. While we were there they had an issue with the main water supply and had to shut it off for a duration of time, that was unexpected and not welcomed. Breakfast was fine, but I have been to other Hampton Inns where the breakfast staff was very attentive to stocking diminished items, this Hampton Inn would get a C-. I had to get staffs attention to have items refilled. Im nice about it I dont demand things, but ask if they have time could you see if you have more this or that. Other Hampton Inns Ive not had to do that either at all or with more than 1 item, this Hampton Inn however was multiple items. Minor irritations indeed, but I would find another hotel next time
This was an unwelcome surprise after a stellar stay at a different Hampton Inn the night before. The humidity and scent of the pool permeated the entire first floor. The deadbolt between mine and the adjoining room didnt latch properly. They sent a maintenance worker to address it but even he could not get it properly fastened. He declared it good enough and assured me it wouldnt be a problem. :/The breakfast was truly mediocre. All of the hot foods were inedible. They ran out of whipped cream for the waffles and didnt have any more. The smoothies were mislabeled and all of the fresh juices were out.
This hotel has thin walls. You really can hear the people talking and laughing next to your room. And the Elevator is slow. But the staff were so nice and accommodating. And whats good about this hotel is their location which is very close to the hwy and near the shopping malls.
This Hampton was very nice. Everything was clean and comfortable. The entrance was a little hard to see at night. We thought we were turning into it but it was the on ramp to the highway. The surrounding area was good too and we didnt hear traffic noise for being so close to the highway.
The decor was really nice service was nice rooms were great the room service was impeccable I really enjoyed my time here myself and my gas had a really really great time really needed a quick place to stay and they did a great job only reason why I dont get five stars is because the person at the desk when you first walked in was a little rude in the beginning but then warmed up after a while and once we left the hotel to go out for a little bit and came back and had to walk kind of far to get to the building even though it was the same parking lot other than that great place to visit if youre in the area I need a hotel really clean really nice amazing we loved it overall and if we need to stay again we definitely will it was well worth worth the price
I stayed here for 3 weeks while visiting the Rockefeller Archive Center. I loved it! Room was nice and they let me switch to a different room because I wanted a bathtub. The breakfast was nice, and there are restaurants within walking distance, and a large shopping center only about a mile away. Theres also a Target and other shops across the freeway. Nice place for a long term stay thats affordable.
Many better options in area for same rate. Choose another! No restaurant... you have to go to separate hotel located behind it (and even then waitress was late and no one to order from). Apathetic and limited staff. Given keys that didnt work twice... had to change rooms. Hallways and general areas smell and are not air conditioned. Barely rated 2 stars.
Unfortunately it was little bit disappointing.Ive tried many Hampton Inn all over the country but this one has lower quality than the typical Hampton Inn hotels. The room supposed to be non smoking but I could easily smell the smoke and it really bothered me the whole night.I mentioned it to the lobby man but he did not solve the problem.Room was clean with high ceiling which I like that part.I dont recommend it if you have other options.
Pretty nice hotel, room was clean upon arrival. The ventilation system system was a bit noisy though. Wifi was great. The walls are too thin I might say. Woke up at close to two in the morning because the people next door to me were being too loud. I think the hotel should really enforce the quiet hours.
This hotel was super nice. I have zero complaints. We had a king suite. The room was clean and designed very nicely. The breakfast they serve is absolutely delicious. I felt like I was eating diner quality waffles and bacon. Wish i didnt get stuffed off of just that cause they had a lot more. We r definitely planning our next weekend getaway.
I stayed in this hotel with my son for two nights in late June 2020. What a bad experience! The first night we could only sleep for 2 hours. We arrived at the hotel around 10H30 P.M and we wanted to immediately go to sleep. However, due to very loud noise from the room next to ours we couldnt sleep until 1 a.m. To make things worse two hours after falling asleep we were awaken by a dripping noise. At first we didnt know what it was but the water was coming from the ceiling. The room started getting wet and we used towels to stop the water from soaking the floor. It dint help much. We tried to sleep but the dripping noise was still too loud for us. In the morning we called the front desk to report the problem. They sent someone who figured out where the water was coming from (air conditioning system) and he fixed the problem. We were going out for the whole day and I asked the front desk that my room be cleaned (floor was wet) and provide new towels. We came back late at night, past mid- night, to find the room as we left it in the morning. We were so upset but we were too tired to ask for another room or even to start a new argument. We went downstairs, got new towels and we went to bed very angry. We checked out in the morning. We complained to the front desk attendant (the same person who was there the day before) but she dint seem to care. I asked to speak with the manager but he was not available. We will never stay in that hotel again!
Perfect placement for a hotel if youd like to spend time in Spring Valley or drop into Woodbury Common outlets. There was able parking and staff were very accommodating. The breakfast provided was delicious and will accommodate most peoples dietary needs, not sure about the gluten free options. My only request would be to update the bathroom/shower, it is a tough dated. Aside from that little recommendation we had a great start at this Hampton Inn.
The location is great for visiting all parts of the county. The staff (front desk, engineer, housekeeping) were very friendly and welcoming. We found the breakfast to have a good selection of the things you would expect to find - a mix of both fresh and frozen packaged items. Thank you
We were visiting family nearby and needed a place to stay. The Hampton Inn was perfect. Water bottles at check-in, spacious room/bathroom, and a first class continental breakfast. Everything was clean. Many places to shop/eat close to the hotel. Right off of the highway. Cant go wrong here.
My family and I stayed at the Hampton Inn this past weekend. It was an extremely hot weekend as a heat alert was in effect. Unfortunately the AC in the building was not working which made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. We were provided a fan which was courteous, but just not cool enough. Im pleased to say that we were dealt with fairly as we received a free nights stay. I would also like to add that complimentary hot breakfast was better then anticipated and we saved a lot of money travelling with three children. Would definitely recommend this Hotel.
Compared other hotels in the area, this one was a great value when it included breakfast and WiFi, when I arrived on Sunday the hotel was exceptionally clean , breakfast delicious in a.m. with fresh fruit too! Hotel staff there were very nice and accommodating, highway access super close, park & ride transportation to NYC 2 blocks away, My family & I were happy we stayed there! We will come back! Thank you Hampton Inn Nanuet!1 last thing: download the app for Hilton Honors , Hampton Inn is part of the Hilton group, the app is great and you can choose your room before checking in, you can also communicate with the hotel your staying at if you need anything!
Frequent hilton travelers. We were greeted by Erica and Mr Gonzalez; they took the extra time to make sure we were taken care of. Room was clean and fresh as expected. The next morning we were greeted by Erica and inlight of restrictions were provided with full breakfast to go.. thank you erica and hilton for safe comfortable travels!

2022-06-17The hotel was old and outdated. It needs to be renovated and cleaned. The room vents were covered in dust and the room smelled musty. The refrigerator was in an open cabinet and hummed loudly all night. The location was great right off the 287 exit and there were many places to eat nearby. BJs restaurant and bar was excellent right down the road. Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn quality.

2022-06-30I have stayed at many Hampton Inns and usually enjoy them very much. However this particular hotel is terrible. Everything about the hotel was run down and clearly managed terribly. There was water leaking on several floors from broken ice machines, the elevator buttons barely worked, the keyless entry was very finicky and the faculties overall were maintained awfully. Also my family used the pool and there were no towels. So we asked the front desk for some and they said they would have some brought over and never showed. I had to go back a second time to get them. Even if you enjoy Hampton Inn typically (as I do) stay away from this one!

2022-03-21Poor room service, management has no respect for customer, some of the staffs do not know how to speak with customers or have kind of prejudice issues. While the people in the kitchen are really friendly and respectful all credits to those people. There are two other wonderful staffs their names start with C and Z two females, they are very good and respectful, while treating everyone the same. The carpet is really dirty and even after requesting to clean it, management did not send anyone to do it.Businesses must welcome anyone that comes to do business with them no matter what color or ethnic backgrounds.

2022-04-03We got in on Sunday night this past week. We have requested room service on multiple occasions and still have not gotten any. First we were told it would be every few days but we could request every other day, so we did. Our room has still been untouched and we have had to physically come to front desk every night to get towels and wash cloths. The first night we asked and were told they were out of towels, etc.The breakfast was consistently out of items also. How can you rent rooms at full rate and give this kind of service?Have to come back to town in a couple of weeks but I guess we need to look for a better hotel. Super disappointment for a Hampton.

2022-06-13Space is clean. Just very disorganized. Two shampoos no conditioner. Coffee machine missing tray. Curtain draws all jacked up. Little inconveniences. Breakfast is hot and satisfactory. #iLOVEtheBing #SeeMatt

2022-04-09Avoid staying here!!! The woman at the front desk was not very customer oriented. The rooms (we had 2) could not be cooled down. Both were between 77-78 degrees in April?!! We were told that heat was available but not AC. We did not stay more then 1 hour. We went to another Hampton Inn 10 miles away. The new location was much friendlier and their climate control worked perfectly.

2022-04-15This place is old and run-down, I stayed In other Hampton ins which are nice and operable. Room jas a smell, old worn out mattress, this felt more like a an old never updated broken place. shower and fridge didnt work. no snacks for purchase, no wash machines, and anything extra theres usually in a hotel, not here, there are plenty of decent places around this hotel, stay somewhere else if you need a good nights sleep.

2022-06-15The room was bright and cheery, clean. No breakfast, even though they have the facility available in the building. Location isnt really near any restaurants.

2022-04-15Positive: This hotel is in a great location. The room were nice and clean. And nice and quiet. Negative: Rooms were too hot and cannot control the temperature. I had hard time going to sleep. The hallway on a 3rd floor smell like cigarette smoke.
