H&M in other cities:
This autumn/winter womensProduct is TOO GREAT !!Im so glad that there are products men can wear.Thats why I like the ladies of this season more thanmen’s.2021 SS Denim Products are made with the Global Environment in Consideration and are Different from Typical Denim Materials. The reason for this is the use of 100% denim, which is recycled from up to 20% recycled cotton for used clothing collection. Denim damage The damage of the jacket is also denim that has created a feeling of damage with stone wash without using chemicals
Love this H&M. Very neat n put together. Most size are available in the store. The staff are friendly, helpful and made my shopping experience good. I found most of the items I came for. Two of the item were on sale online but not in the store and the sales associate made adjustments so I could get the sale price. Great customer service. Will definitely return to this store again.
I have not been there but I am a native NYer , I live in Florida and just saw a post that infuriated me. Your place of business refused your fellow police officers who were there for the funeral of their brothers , refused them to use the bathroom. I find this disgusting and extremely disrespectful. There are companies like JetBlue who flew free of charge any police officer from anywhere to attend this funeral. I find what is going on in NY absolutely horrible and you are a prime example of it!!! I sure hope that you never need any help from law enforcement and whoever made this decision today , I sure hope you never call the police!!! Your decision today whoever it was to not allow our law enforcement to use your bathroom, this mentality is what is ruining our country. New York is a mess and it will never straighten out with people like this! Learn respect you don’t even deserve to be in business in N.Y.!!! Everyone needs to BACK the BLUE 💙🙏. Get with the program!!
H&M refused to allow NYPD officers to use the bathroom after standing outside on 5th avenue all morning paying their respects to their fallen officer who was shot and killed protecting the very city the stupid workers are employed in!!!! I will never ever spend a penny in this store ever again! I will also make sure my family and friends never spend a penny in this disgusting store!
Cashiers really need a lots of training. They need to work on good customer service and manners. The Cashier who was serving me was rush to go home and yelling at other co worker to come over to her place. She wasnt happy at all coz I was shopping a lots of clothes for my daughter.i am talking about yesterday Nov 6 2021 Saturday. I must say these kind of cashiers doesnt deserve to work here.
They have a bunch of modern, chic, cute, sexy, professional styles that go with any occasion. The prices are mid range and the staff are helpful and very professional. The only complaint I have, is that they discontinued the lingerie and makeup lines which puts a real dent in their sales and customer satisfaction. I was able to find makeup brushes.
Probably one of the nicest H&M stores in the city. Its huge and somehow they manage to keep everything in stock super neat. The store is clean and bright. They have multiple floors with an elevator and escalator. The mens section has its own floor which is nice because theyre usually the smallest part of the store. Id say its worth a visit.
Very large H&M store with many clothing options to choose from. The prices are a surprisingly not marked up- as most things are in NYC. The store is neat and the staff is very attentive. Definitely worth visiting you’re a fan of H&M or if you need some affordable clothing!
I visited 2 stores. H&M on 5the avenue is nice. H&M is very honest for Black Friday prices. So all merchandise and clearance is more cheaper for 30% off today. The store on 34 str in Manhattan second. Personal is terrible. I hope not everyone. But everytime when I visit this location I meet difficulties. Today cashier offered me to wait in line to just get price (pants had not any price tag). Manager no worried. H&M has to check workers and managers of this location.
System for online returns was down. Was informed the only way to accurately refund my purchase was to produce the email I received confirming my purchase. The invoice I had with me was not sufficient to provide with a refund for the full purchase $$. Will probably never purchase another item from this company. Dont offer easy in-store returns if you dont have systems that cant function properly.
H&M was quite large. I went in before 11am,so it was nicely organized and neat. The selection of clothing was diverse and just really cute. They had a large shoe selection! There are 3 levels and you can use the escalator to get there. Also, the employees were friendly, helpful and attentive. The escalators going back down to the 1st floor werent on, so youll get some exercise. I did not see an elevator, for handicapped people, but I was in a bit of a rush. Everything was priced as one would expect from H&M, very reasonable, for decent quality options.
I have always come here for great buys on clothing but since they opened up a section for home goods on the top floor I shop here more often. They offer nice quality bedding, linens, accent pillows, tableware, dishes, rugs, plant pots, and even candles. Everything is so reasonably priced and so easy to coordinate. In comparison to Target they lack inventory but more than make up in the quality, price, and selection.
I generally LOVE H&M and this location is pretty good. Nice & big, good selection of clothing and despite it getting busy at times, you dont have to wait in line as long as youd think. Also very dog friendly - love bringing my pup in here :) Will definitely return to this store, as always super reasonable prices.
Thats a 5 stories store. Has elevator and escalators. Clean. For the most part clothes are a good quality. We were surprised that they have stuff for your home, not only clothes. Stuff mostly of course for a younger generation, but on 5th you can find for kids as young as newborns, not too much but still. Location is touristic.
The store was massive!! There were 5 floors of clothes. The basement had the mens section, and the other floors had womens clothes. There was a large variety of things, and I was extremely impressed with the store. The customer service was great and I would like to go back.
Shop for everything you need clothing wise very good prices however not very sure a about the quality. Enjoyed looking around however only one floor for men and multiple for women. One elevator for a crowded shop so would not be easy for disabled people. Didnt check the bathrooms but I imagine they were adequate.
Typical H&M but great staff! I was having trouble finding an item on the floors and I pulled it up online showed it to a staff member and the piece wasnt one she was familiar with and instead of saying We dont have it she said Let me check our stock room and pulled the dress for me.
Honestly speaking, the store does not impress the quality of clothes, but impresses its area) Very large store is located on several floors. Prices are about the same as in Russia, the range is larger, but still to find something good will have to be carefully searched.
Big clean and well lit store. Lots of space to shop but the escalators are tedious requiring shoppers to walk around on every floor to get the next escalator going up or down. H&M style of clothing, which hasnt changed much in a decade, it getting a bit long in the tooth. 5 years ago I would have left with bags of shopping everytime I walked in here now a I rarely ever leave with spending a dime. It just feels like I been buying the same clothes over and over and over again.
Huge shoutout to manager Justin. I saw a Sherpa shirt jacket on the mannequin that was my size and I wanted it and I couldn’t purchase it that day because it was on the mannequin. He confirmed with the store stylist that it was okay to remove the jacket so that I could purchase, and he called me first thing next morning confirming that I could come purchase it. In my experience many retailers have been rude when asking about purchasing product from the mannequin. This is my favorite H&M location, thanks so much!
Oh my gosh, i just love it. So many new style and some clearance, all at real steal prices. Well, people! Clean up that closet haul old stuff to Goodwill, take no receipt cause Its a good deed. 😁 Renew your closet with nice, cool, vibrant and Feel like Vogue magazine cover page. Walk and Feel Great cause....Ur loving Yourself ! 🤩
H&m has been super popular with the younger people, the prices of their products are pretty cheap and looks fly. The staffs are sometimes friendly and are sometimes willing to help you. The store looks neat and change room is really clean. Overall great store for all your needs.
I like the store as it has funky clothes and is on the cheap side which caters to those that cannot afford expensive clothes. the clothes run small but are stylish. I could do without the blaring music as you walk in the door. Maybe they could play something for the over 18 crowd who shop there as well.
Genuinely do like this place. The vibe is really chill and is generally more quiet the earlier on in the night it is (which, I prefer). The music can get a bit loud, especially during performances. The place is aptly named because they usually have odd shows throughout the night. E.g. last time I was there straight porn was being projected on the wall as two women did an interpretive/narrative dance of sorts until they stripped down on stage. Their drinks are also really well made, the bartenders know what theyre doing. The happy hour is decent as well. Mostly a younger crowd. Their scotch eggs are amazing.
Fun, fast paced (albeit sometimes chaotic) work setting. Always plenty of work to be done, so boredom is never an issue. Inefficient employees dont tend to last more than a few months, while the strong work partners tend to be around for a long time. Promotions given out based on proven abilities and efforts , not brown-nosing or popularity. Incredible benefits and vacation/sick-time. Rad clothing at a decent discount. Management shows a great amount of trust in their staff, enabling an autonomy that is rarely found in the retail field. Vital sales/merch/company information provided weekly (and readily available to all staff) through comprehensive bulletin. Excellent communication and sales tools that allow staff to be directly involved in business. Company constantly opening new stores and expanding into new markets. (Nashville and Honolulu in the next couple months!)
I had the RUDEST interaction with an employee. I brought it to the attention of a manager and NOTHING was done. This was the 3rd H&M that I went to in one day in order to exchange a winter jacket. At each store the staff were not helpful and told me that I had to go to another store to find the jacket on my own. I spent several hundred dollars at H&M for the Holiday and to be treated like this was disappointing. H&M was happy to get my $$ but once I had an exchange to do they were not nice.
Absurd! My daughter asked them to sell her one of the two (identical) dresses in size 4 that were on the mannequins and the manager said no. There are NO OTHER dresses in this style for sale in the store. Why would they keep a dress on two mannequins if there’s none for sale there AND THEN REFUSE TO SELL HER ONE OF THE TWO THAT ARE THERE??? Ridiculous. Lost my business for sure $$$$.
Terrible! Got my wallet stolen right out of my dressing room. I wouldnt be posting a bad review for h and m for this, but my wallet was later found hidden in the employee area. Be careful to take all your belongings with you in and out of the fitting rooms, even for only a few seconds. (as for the employee who tried to steal it I hope you get your life together. Theres more to life then stealing peoples pants out of dressing rooms)
This H&M is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge! Let’s face it, you aren’t getting quality pieces here, but it’s impossible not to find something you love that fits in your wardrobe. They literally have something for everyone here. So don’t expect to have these clothes last forever, but at least you’ll look good while they last.
This has become of my favorite places to shop. I was recently employed into the area, and with me coming from the Bronx I wanted somewhere I could shop to blend in with the Manhattan crowed and look decent. This place has got something to tailor to every style, and I find myself now wearing shoes, pants, shorts and even underwear all with the H&M brand.I just love their clothes, my only dislike is H&Ms in Harlem or any poor neighborhoods dont have clothes that look nearly as good. So this is a company that tailors to its environment rather than having an industry wide selection. This isnt bad, but its not good either.
Right now H&M are in sale mode in Housewares and several other areas of the store..Like the prices in their Childrens Section, and the Mens Department in the Basement has a good and varied selection of Summer Wear..The Store is well air-conditioned for the Summer Heat..All-in-all, a very nice shopping experience..
Place is tremendous. The lines for the dressing rooms are ridiculous. If you buy and dont try and return the item the next day or 2 they have moved everything around so its impossible to find if you want to exchange. Store is in midtown so lots of tourists who are oblivious to the fact people on a lunch hour are also in the store so they are rather rude.
I went there with my friends so we can get something and everyone had no idea what is going on in this store. I asked a couple of times for help and I didnt receive even an answer. The people working on the cash desk are incredibly slow, there was a line for 20 minutes.
This is one of my favorite H&Ms to go to. It can get really crowded which is annoying and the lines to try cloths on is like a 10min wait! But the thing I love about this H&M is the music! I went in here one time with a group of friends to get a quick outfit and leave. They had a DJ playing music that sounded better than any club or bar I have been to! It was crazy! They also had some cool lights! I thought I was at some dope party. We had so much fun we ended up staying for an hour and a half and ended up buys a tun of stuff!
This is a review of the professionalism and the upkeep of the store.First - I typically go to this store on my lunch break ~ 2pm.Its 5th ave, its busy, but it never feels crowded or uncomfortable. This location is HUGE!There is usually a wait for the mens changing room, but its never too long or troublesome. The staff is all very professional and courteous. The store is neatly arranged, and I never have trouble finding anything I need.I can usually complete a trip to this store - in and out - within 25 minutes. Its very efficient...but what else can you expect? ITS 5TH AVE!
One of the better H & M stores in the city, be sure to check the mens section as well. The womens sweatshirts can be thinner, intended for layering. The guy stuff is thicker and a bit more practical. Nicely organized with shoes all in one place. The checkout line is long but goes quick.
If you have spare time to browse and affordability is your goal, H&M is the place. You will have to spend time to go through the store since it is not too well organized. The line for dressing room can be very long. But the store has a good return policy....so buy now and try at home.
During my last trip to NYC, you would think that shopping at the H&M on the magnificent 5th Ave would of been a breeze. Their clothing selection is amazing and oddly enough not found in many other locations. However, as pretty their clothing selection was, it was very disappointing to know that their size selection does not hold up the same importance. On about 97% of their items, sizes went only as high as a 6. It was impossible to find an 8, 10 or even 12 anywhere. I was lucky enough to find a pair of amazing looking pants on the sale rack that were a size 12 and jumped at the chance to buy them.H&M get with the times, not everyone shopping on 5th avenue is a size 6 or below.
Great prices and ok service with generally fine displays - but quality is fair-to-poor with clothing not handling cleaning well and wearing rapidly. when we first started shopping at h&m it was a favorite - until we had experience with merchandise over time. based on that experience we both rarely shop h&m now except for items not expected to last beyond one season at maximum.
A grown up sophisticated version of forever 21! But i love it anyways..A little pricey if you ask me, but hey, Im a slave to fashion.Only downfall was it was extremely packed, but that could been because i went on Dec 26 the ultimate shopping/merchandise exchange day.
I was returning my bomber jacket which I bought from there because I purchased a different style of it from the online store. And theres a lady which works at the counter kinda embarrassed me when she was checking my stuff by acting like shes smelling some nasty clothes from the bag. Hey, I never tried it on or even took them out from the bag. Im a loyal customer of H&M , from top to toe, everything Im wearing is from H&M and what kind of service was that ? Still buying clothes from H&M but not from the store on 5 ave anymore.
False advertising of prices on tops. Sign above shirts said $8. Ticket on shirt said $13. So when i went to pay cashier said $13. I said the sign says $8. Went back and assistant says thats $8 and up. There was no and up on that sign. Rude staff.First and last time in that store.
This is one of the bigger and nicer H&M branches in the area. Four floors. Mind numbingly similar stuff rack after rack.I dislike that they dont have somewhere for tired/bored partners, children or older people to sit. If you try to lean or sit against anything, security immediately harasses you. Like I need another reason to hate coming in here...
They have the very best in sales personel to ask what and where to get the best of clothing from the color are always in season and the clothing are name brand prices. they always have my size and i also like the fact that it is very people friendly to look and walk into.
The place is packed tightly with all sort of stuff to buy. The problem is that its not a pleasant place to be. Youll find what you need, but only because you have the patience and will of a saint. The setup for shoes alone (hint: there is none) sent me out of the store as fast as I arrived
I wish I could give 10 out of 5 stars! Sean made my experience the day of the launch of H&M SS Studio 2019 Collection worth the trip to New York! I have never received such excellent service at any time, anywhere, IN MY LIFE!!! #superiorservice !! I contacted H&M directly at the time, but now that I received the poorest service in my life from Micheal Kors at the Mall of Louisiana, I felt it necessary that I memorialize the best service!!
Worst customer service ever. i was very unsatisfied with my experience here. i tried calling 3 times to put an item on hold. the first time i got put on hold for 7 minutes and then got hung up on. the second time no one answered and eventually the automated voice message told me to try again later. the third time customer service couldn’t even get through. i was then told that they were busy with in store customers. keep in mind i had been trying to get in contact for an hour. i’m very disappointed, especially being a retail worker myself.
Great style clothing but the services is bad , you ned to seek for help instead of a staff memeber appoaching to you . its really hard to find the correct size since all the clothes are unorganize , soemtimes some pieces are too expensive for the consumer and the quality is not that great but overall the clothes are really fashion forward and trendy,
If i can give 0 star i will. Staff were so rude my son has tonuse the bathroom they said bathroom is closed i have never heard of that . Inusedbto live H$M but not anymore. You need rondo some training also making sign of sale and at the counter says no its not for everything not just one item.
First of all, RUDE STAFF. When I asked about a particular set of jeans the staff told me it was near the window, nothing more, and of course I couldnt find it, then I asked about another size, because only three sizes were left and was told that if it wasnt there, they didnt have it, and pretty rudely! When I went to pay, there was a girl before me from Canada, and when she left, the cashiers started saying bad things about her so everyone could hear. The staff wasnt at all nice and had a pretty bad attitude. Definitely not shopping at this location again.
H&M fills the void in my wardrobe for essentials like t-shirts, button-ups, and fancifully colored socks. Most of their clothes seem to fall apart after wearing them a dozen or so times, so I am careful to scrutinize the fabric and construction quality before even trying the garment on. I cant tell you how many times I find something I need to have only to put it back on the rack because it would not be fit for use as toilet paper. This is especially true for the suits. Why, H&M, are you one of the few companies that make suits that actually fit me off the rack, yet they are such pieces of junk? Mark my words, if you make a higher quality version with the same cut, I will buy it. For now, the suits are coyote ugly. They look good from afar, but are far from good.
How would you like to spend some time shopping if the music intensity is so loud it saturates and makes your eardrum and body vibrate? It doesnt seem to be the only H&M speeding up and increasing noise levels... Unbarebale, in addition when bringing your 1 year old baby with. Personal is unfriendly and bored, with a total lack of empathy and willingness to help. Clothes quality is ok, but all the rest makes it unattractive below zero.
I am a H&Mholic !! I admit it. I need to check out each one cause none are alike. They all have different clothes left over from the pickings. Many sales and cheap discounts.Never buy fullprice. Now, this store has arrogant employees-do they think they can work on 5th Ave and talk down to customers. No other H&M is so rude~!
Theyre advertising stuff in the shop window then apparently ran out of days ago. That happens, but at least change the window so people dont come in because of the stuff in that and then are disappointed. Also I dont like the sizes. Its basically a guessing game what will fit and what wont.
AWFUL SERVICE. My phone was stolen at this location. No one seemed to care and most of the staff actually seemed annoyed when I asked them if anyone had found an iphone. One female staff member told me how weird it was that this was the fourth time it had happened that day. Also, the lines are ridiculous and the clothes are not as taken care of as they should be/are at other locations. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. My experience has actually made me want to stop shopping at H&M all together.
Its Amaaaaaazing! Please go check out this location if you are in Times Square. No really, everyone should be swarming there! Did you hear about the grand re-opening? Lady Gaga walked the runway! Speaking of the runway, if you dont know what it is, you can try on clothes and then walk down a mock runway like a real model while automated robot paparazzi take your photo and post it to the big screen. This is not to be missed. I highly highly highly recommend going to check this place out. The best time to go is definitely around lunch time during the week. Everyone in Times Square should go there at lunch time, especially if you were thinking of going to Chopt for lunch. NO, Im not just telling you this so that theres no line at Chopt! Just go okay ...- Jaded Midtown Employee

2021-12-31Stopped by this H&M. Looks big and nice.Believe it or not, Fifth Avenue was the setting for global retailer H&Ms first U.S. store; its six-story glass retail shop sits on the southeast corner of Fifth Avenue and 48th Street, just one of its more than 4,500 worldwide stores--making it the second-largest global retailer of clothing in the world.

2022-03-22Very big and large assortment of womens clothing. Not good quality though and prices were too high considering the quality. Not much in regards to mens options. The view from the top floor is nice!

2022-06-16Got 3 floors dedicated for women but only 1 floor (underground) for men. Also, staff is not easy to find if you ever need help or have a question to ask. However, the location was ideal for travelers as well as return process was pretty quick.

2022-04-22Prices are amazing for a fifth avenue shopping experience. I found the service lacking, and the dressing rooms were closed indefinitely. Id recommend it for folks in the city in need of some quick casual clothes!

2022-02-24Very nice staff, things are a bit misplaced and some things that werent supposed to be in clearance that where full price. Other than the misunderstanding of misplaced products. Its a beautiful store with good variety and a great bargain for city prices.

2022-04-13The name is deceiving, there are four levels of clothes and one of home goods (not that Im complaining!). The layout is very fun, although the escalators get a bit tiring. I loved being able to see over all the levels onto the main one.

2022-04-02No where to sit. Be prepared to stand if you are taking someone there to shop... And dont think you can prop yourself up on a display- you will be told to move. Oh, Its also 85 degrees in there. Good selection of clothing, very clean

2022-07-23Flagship store with 6 floors but no customer toilet when shopping? Being referred to Starbucks down the street. Come on H&M...
