I see here that Marty only has 5-star reviews (at the time of this writing). Theres good reason for that. Hes done 2 jobs for us, one big / one small, and both turned out fantastic. I heard a saying once (which sounds like a Yogi Berra-ism, but Yogi never said it): 90 percent of any job is doing the last 5 percent. I think that is what encapsulates Marty and sets him apart from other contractors: not only doing a great overall job, but closing it out with attention to detail.

Marty did a great job repairing our front porch deck, pillars, and installed new steps with handrails. Very well done. Great two-way communication. Highly recommend him!

We have worked with Marty twice so far, and plan to hire him for future projects as well. He has replaced rotted exterior trim around our house and most recently re-screened our porch. Marty is very responsive and thorough, and a genuinely nice person–a complete find!

I had to get a hole in my wall patched and painted over. Marty was really nice and professional, he showed up right on time and checked to make sure we were still good to go the day before. I had to leave unexpectedly before the repairs were done so I left him with a spare key. By the time I came home you couldnt tell where the wall had been damaged, and the only sign he had been there was a note with the key. Couldnt recommend him highly enough.

Marty patched an interior divider wall that was cracking (due to age and a bad patch job). He confirmed prior to his arrival that he would be running late. Once he arrived, he went to work. He was quiet, focused, and got the wall patched. He came back later to sand and paint. I am impressed with the quality of work and would hire him back again.

Marty worked on the windows of our 1840s house. We were ready to replace them entirely, but decided to have Marty remove, strip, replace broken glass and generally get the terrible looking, inoperable windows back to an attractive, working order. He did just that. He also installed spring bolt pins on every window (they didnt have counterweights) so that they open and close safely. Marty was really easy to communicate with, was flexible with our crazy schedule and super friendly. He was also very tidy and went out of his way to keep his work space as clean as possible. Marty is highly recommended!

I found HV handyman driving on rte9. His website is on the back of his work truck. After my wife and I viewed his website we decided to contact. If you are looking for a professional straight-forward person to help with household jobs, Marty is the man for sure. We had him replace some worn rotted wood deck steps and punch a hole in the foundation for a dryer vent. He came prepared for the job and got to work. He was respectful of our property and our time. Called, left text, even emailed with pictures, absolutely no response. Nothing! Even if he just text back or emailed back I would understand but I didnt even get one response! I would be happy to change my review but as of now this is an honest review.
