Hans is amazing. Hands down the best guide I’ve ever dealt with. Very knowledgeable, thorough, prepared, methodical, dedicated and a great sense of humor. I’ve booked with him many times over the past two years and I recommend him completely.

One of the most talented wood artists on this planet. He made an exact replica of a 46 Tiger Muskie I caught and replicated every detail. These pieces of art take hundreds of hours of painstaking work (I watched his process as he did it - he updated photos on social media). They are mind blowing.When you see one of these hand carved masterpieces in person you immediately understand why they are more expensive than traditional plastic mold replicas. First, they are three dimensional - both sides of the fish are done. Second they are made out of kiln dried hard wood and hand crafted from scratch. He replicates the color and even blemishes (upon request) with precision detailing. You will be shocked to feel how solid heavy the finished pieces are!It is one of my favorite possessions and I cannot think of a better way to commemorate a fish of a lifetime. This fish is the centerpiece of our brewery (Pearl Street Grill and Brewery) in downtown Buffalo, NY.Also, Hans started guiding last year (about time). And he also guided me to two fifty inch plus muskies! What a legend!Now I just got to save my money to get those replicated!

Just went out fishing on Erie with Hans. It was a great trip, Hans knows where the Walleye are. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly treated myself and brother and father like family. Highly recommend anyone looking for a fun day of filling the boat with fish. Thanks Hans will definitely be back again!!!

Hans has a gift for making the carving seem alive; like the fish just jumped out of the water. His work is amazing!
