This park is beautiful, my friends and I have been going for a few weeks now. The grass is comfortable, the birds are friendly, and its not packed. I look forward to fishing and boating here.
Gorgeous park in Mamaroneck NY. Beautiful Maria views with huge open spaces for sports.The public bathrooms werent open which makes it harder to visit for any length of time but other than that, it was dog and kid friendly.

Its a great park, clean and well-kept. It has a public boat launch, a beach for swimming, and a playground for the kiddos. Mostly everything costs money, including parking (hence the 4 stars), but you can park on the street and walk into the playground for free. They dont allow picnics or bbq (no fun). Overall though it is a fun place for kids.
What can I say growing in New Rochelle Harbor Island was so close to my house. I would ride my bicycle here pretty much all the time and still do till today. And dont forget every year the Mamaroneck Fire Departments amusement park Fair with great food.
Giving $ 50 dollars tickets for parking at places not even marked and that look like regular parking spots on a morning weekday ..thats ridiculous park not even that pretty

Socially distanced, beautiful setting, relaxing afternoon. It was the first time Ive really been out in public since covid due to being immunocompromised, but we were able to sit under a tree maybe 30 feet from the nearest people, so I felt safe enough to stay for a while. I love it here!
Super cozy! Loved the food on the marina. It was also super cool walking down the Boardwalk seeing all of the small little businesses that are all super nice and friendly! There is a sailing school and ice cream place there as well! One of the best marinas Ive ever been to. Harbor Island Park is really nice and I highly recommend it!

My 3yo son loves this park. The equipment isnt new, but theres so many cool things to climb, swing and slide. We could stay there all day.
Its pretty to walk,relax & take pictures. Not enough walking trails, its very small park.
I went with my wife and our pet, Smojey, the weather definitely cooperated and it was a great place. We sure did have a good time.
Harbor Island park is a great park for all ages. I was invited to attend a ball game for my first time going there. I enjoyed it. I was so surprised to see all the dogs and all the people being so friendly. I then took my grandchildren to the next ball game I attended so that they could play on the play grounds. Yes theres more then one. Not only there is a beach , we have not gone down there yet, but we will be checking it out soon.
Very relaxing also very family oriented you can also go fishing here surrounded by two marinas just a beautiful relaxing oasis

Great park, on summer you have to pay, for parking and for the beach, the rest of the year is free. Very clean, very quiet. I pretty sure its dog friendly.

Went to this park over the weekend. The park is very nice. The fishing area is very small and there is a lot of boat traffic so it makes it hard to catch fish unless you go during the right time. They have someone working the front but you have to pay using the payment machines- I found this strange.

Went to Harbor Island with my family for the 4th of July fireworks celebration. Large park with playground, tennis and baseball field. Park holds many festivities year around, great for the whole family. Usually there is a parking fee, i suggest parking elsewhere and walk to the park. For major festivies arrive early, does get crowded. Bring your own blankets and chairs. Park is in walking distance to multiple eatiers. Bathroom on site. Great security from local police officers.
Harbor Island Park is beautiful. We love all the trees that provide lots of shady areas 2 put chairs and blankets under. Theres always a nice breeze blowing off of the water. And of course the view of the boats is always relaxing and pleasurable to look at.

I love this park. It has a playground that my kids love. You can walk next to the water, view is beautiful. And there is the beach which is lovely and yet I can never understand why it is always empty. There is almost no one. I always wonder did I miss a sign that says you cant enter or something but I couldnt see one so far ☺️. My kids love to play with the sand and enjoy the water (no swimming). They also have movie nights for kids during the season, you register for it from their website.I highly recommend this park to anyone. Lots of peace, relaxation and fun.
Its a nice and quiet park. However parking is $12 for a visit, no hourly fee. To use the sprinkler park or go to view the beach there is a cost of $12 per adult and $8 each child. (Not worth it)

Perfect spot to relax and get some food
Nice view, clean bathroom. I saw a crane, a baby turtle and a crab during the visit in May. There are kids baseball and football games. A nice playground for younger kids and a small beach.

Ive been coming here for years. It just a beautiful place to relax, picnic read or just look at the water and boats. Plenty of space to find shade and get a blanket to sit on the grass, or sit on one of the many benches. Perfect for wedding photos as well. Its quit and I always enjoy myself.

Great park with lots of options to enjoy
No dogs allowed accept between 6 and 8am....that was a bummer. We got off of our boat and needed a place for the dogs to play. So we went around to the side of the park on Roosevelt street, past the playground and found a little walking trail loop just next to the neighborhood and walked our pups there. The several times we were there we didnt see anyone else using the area. There is no parking lot over there so you have to park on a neighborhood side street.

This is a great place to bring the kids or go for a jog, fly a kite, or just get out and enjoy the outdoors.
It has bathrooms open year round and it has big fields to play on and they have an amazing playground that my daughter loves play on for hours. its a good place to have a picnic and hang out with friends and family.

Great park to walk. Very safe. It has bathrooms available. Also has a farmers market on Saturday morning that is very nice.
Nice park for the kiddos! The playground is amazing for all ages! The beach is right there and there also is sprinklers for the kids to enjoy in the summer hot days!Its a must to go in the early days of spring when the cherry blossoms are gorgeous!There are great fields so kids and parents can enjoy and play all day!Last but not least the fireworks on 4th July is a must, but get there early 😉

The park is nice. I would have liked to use the beach, too, though; a sign on its entrance says Swimming Prohibited and the gate was locked.

Beautiful park with very nice playground for the little ones. Nice view of the harbor and boats. To avoid parking fees consider parking on a side street & walking across Post Road. If using the beach try to avoid low tide. Vending machines dont always work.
Very clean and safe playground. It has swings, 2 for toddlers, 3 for older children, and one for handicap children. Monkey bars, slides..... Ample parking, which is $10 and you can come and go all day. Just make sure you leave the ticket on the dash; not unless you like paying for a $50 ticket. The beach has sprinklers off to the side. Theres a separate price for the beach. The restroom was clean, only two stalls, changing table available. A lot of open space. Theres shaded area and a few picnic tables. Overall, Its just a very nice place.
I enjoy this place because Ive grown up in the area and its a part of my childhood. Although I am sad to say that unfortunately people are not keeping up with the social distancing and the masks. This is something that is in place for our safety. Please its not that difficult. If you dont then all the time weve spent indoors is lost because of the carelessness of a few. dont think of it as something for your safety, think of it as something youre doing to help others.
Went fishing with a friend, we didn’t catch anything but we did see a big sea robin in the water. The people there were very nice.

Very clean and fun place. The park is theme as pirates. The beach is man made and small but Clean. You have a baseball field and amount of green field to play soccer. The parking is $8 and the beach $6 but worth the money. Wont recommend coming around specials or holiday. Tend to become crowded. No grilling.
We needed to get out and stretch after being on the road for hours. The park was very nice. The restrooms were very clean. There looked to be a club level soccer game going on. There was also a musician on performing by the office.The boat launch was busy.This park is well cared for. The people of Memerenek are fortunate to have a nice park like this.

Mamaroneck has one of the finest parks and beaches. Ive been going there since I was a toddler. It is clean, well-maintained, and a fun place to visit. The beach is decent. The park is great for children. There are many sports being played there, soccer, baseball and tennis.

Nice park with great softball/baseball fields. We saw a lot of people show up to play soccer. Its really a nice place to practice and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Substance abusers haven in the morning, found seated in cars using drink and drugs. Smokers, attend this state park without correction. Surly park workers flout mask mandates mandated at the park entrance. Aggressive municipal workers bring their dogs to roam off leash. Litter. No police maintain order or rules. You do not find a civil sanctuary.
Clean, well-kept with something to appeal to most: recreational fields for soccer and baseball, playground, boat slips, beach and sprayground, with grilling area (during summer). Restrooms are always on decent order.Patrons are usually very respectful of each other.

I love everything about this place its so pretty and well kept. Love the play ground its really perfect. The beach is just right. I think my only complaint would be that the sprinkler is in the beach area. While I do think thats pretty cool its also kind of annoying that you have to pay to go to the beach that you may or may not want to go to just for your kid to enjoy that part. My children are pretty much obsessed with sprinklers but other than that I love it.
Love the Harbor. Have great memories doing activities there as a kid. Such a wonderful place to spend a nice afternoon.
This beach was very dirty when we went. I found the water to be stagnant and had a film on the top that looked like oil. The sprinkler part was great. But I can not see myself going back there just for the sprinkler part.

Theres so many great things about the playground located in the park. The play equipment is so inspired and has a nautical theme. And theres so many different kinds of play equipment to explore. Its even fun for adults. Its new, modern and innovative. Its worth taking a day trip out of NYC just to see this playground and visit downtown Mamaroneck. Walking the harbor is pleasant as well. Magical.
Clean, great place to relax as long as you are away from center of beach which is where the kids are enjoying themselves. A little pricey, parking $8/12 depends on day of wk and to get in $7 pp.

Nice public state park, great courteous security. my buddy s got his 50 foot sailboat here. Closes at 10pm though so no midnight walks on the pier. perfect harbor
Beautiful park and playground is great for kids. If you have toddlers or preschoolers, its best to go during the day before the older kids get out of school and take over.

Today is a great day to come to Harbor Island. A little chilly but sunny. Kids are enjoying making sand castles. Getting a little wet in their shorts but what the heck! Fun for all!
Nice to walk around boats & beach
Nicely maintained park with a range of services including boat ramp, kids play area, play fields, tennis courts, beach in the summer and a recreation center with a variety of activities. I was there for the Mamaroneck Turkey Trot which is a 1 mile race for the Goblers (kids) and a 5K race for the adults.
It was beautiful but we didnt go early enough to really get a go po d look of the grounds

Carnval and fireworks night on 4yh of July. Crowd moved smoothly thanks to the openness of the park and direction of the police department. Any other time, nice view of the bay with a small Sandy Beach. Lots of fields for playing sports. Like to take an evening stroll when the air is cool on a summers day.
Lots of fun to play on. The soda machines dont work so dont waste your money. The Harbor also has a big field where they offer spring and fall soccer and also 2 travel teams.
The park didnt make me feel incredible and the swinging benches sound like very large crickets. But the glowing fish are cool. Idk
Harbor island you can easily take this place for granted, when your away from it for awhile. Such a great place to enjoy a walk and gain some great visual scenery. The playground is such a great place for kids.
The beach is man-made and has pebble like sand. Wonderful for kids the water doesnt have waves and there is a splash pad for kids and a playground.
Great setup, public access after 1pm not sure if its everyday or only on weekends....... $12.00 parking and access to the beach before 5pm is $8.00
Park is great quit and clean, great for families.Be advised there is an entry fee for parking in the park and a separate beach fee during the spring/summer season. cash only. Be prepared to pay even if your child is at a sport event on fileds if you dont bring your vouchers. This is NOT a Westchester county park and have their own rules and regulations. You can apply for a parking pass at their main office.

Great Park but beware of the Gestapo Park Ranger. The park ranger will stop you from fishing when the fish are running ( before the posted park opening hour). If its a windy day and the park is empty and you decide that its the perfect time to fly a kite with your kids.... Well think again.... The Gestapo Park Ranger will either fine you or order you to stop. Thats no fun.

Nice placeby the water. You can walk around the whole place, or stroll by the beach. There is a playgound and a marine learning center. I did a yoga class here and it was nice.

Nice clean marina with easy access to boat ramp and plenty of parking for cars with boat trailers.Harbor Master and crew are first class and everyone at the docks weather fisherman or just boaters are friendly and always willing to help.

Harbor Island Park is located in Mamaroneck NY. Its a picturesque location in the Long Island Sound complete with large yachts, sailboats and ship builders. There is a beach, open only to Mamaroneck residents who have paid the annual fee. There is lots of park to enjoy besides the beach that is clean and beautiful. I paint in the park during the week when its not so busy. Very nice!
This park hosts a small beach, an amazing playground for children, a baseball field, etc. Please note that non-resident visitors are usually charged a small fee for parking during the beach season.
Beautifully calm area
Westchester Urban Sketchers met for the first time to draw and paint Harbor Island Park, its visitors and surroundings. Bought lunch from a truck serving homemade Peruvian food, including ceviche with fish and seafood. Yum! Ample free parking at this point in time.
Love the beach. Take the kids all the time I can sit on the sand and watch them play in the water without worrying since there are no waves.
This is a beautiful park. However, you have to be a member of the community to park and visit from Memorial day to Labor day which is the season. Off season parking is free.
Its a park on the harbor in a very nice friendly town in Westchester.

It would be nice if there was a designated Dog park so that people could take their pets there, instead of letting them pee in the childrens playground.

Clean safe place to go the park and harbor are patrolled until 11 pm by the local police and the facilities are kept very clean for a park.

2021-10-21Harbor Island Park is an absolutely beautiful place to relax by the water. If you have a boat, you can launch it into the water at a reasonable cost. There are huge open fields, a beautiful beach and tennis courts! It’s a great reason to move to Mamaroneck!

2022-06-17Its nice enough. Big grassy playing fields, boat ramp, you can rent space to store your kayak or dock your boat during the summer. Playground for the kids, but no decent exercise equipment for adults, nor are there any decent places to run. Much of the park is taken up by parking lots.There are tennis courts. The beach is small and mediocre and sometimes closed because of degraded water quality. I understand that a dog park will be added, which will be an improvement.Lots of stuff here, but I cant say its a particularly pleasant place to hang out. Your views may differ.

2022-06-09This is a wonderful park, on the water that offers a wide range of activities and amenities. Theres a playground, beach, marina, numerous sports fields, open areas, tennis courts and more. Its very busy, especially on the weekends as many kids sports have games here. Theres a lot of open space to just hang out, have a picnic or simply relax.

2022-06-27This is a very beautiful water front part in Mamaroneck.If you are looking for a great place to take a stroll in some nice weather, you found it! I will say that the pathway / bathrooms on site need to be fixed up, but overall this is a great place to visit with family for a relaxing picnic or afternoon walk.Overall Rating: 9/10

2022-06-17Beautiful scenery, playgrounds for kids, beach and water access at times. Pay to park unless you live in town and buy a parking pass. Parking passes are free for seniors who are residents after a few dollars with your initial application

2020-08-09Its a Great Family Destination... Fun play ground plenty of space for social distance.A very safe environment... The Bathrooms are clean and fresh... The Beach area is well kept. Two LIFE Guards on duty at all Times...Plenty of benches by the water...Very Relaxing

2022-05-22Great place for young kids. Nice playground. Very clam beach, no waves. Not the cleanest water but then you dont have to drive an hr away to have fun.
