First time in Harlem for me and my family and stopped by the Harlem Seafood Soul Truck for lunch. and boy are we glad we did!! Chef Tami is a sweet lady who certainly knows how to cook. Our seafood Po Boys and Fish and Chips platter were cooked to perfection .... hot, crispy, and oh soooo fresh tasting. Real quality and reasonably priced. Highly Recommend!!!
I think amazing, wonderful, unbelievable, incredible or else reality is nothing for chef Tami, I should find something above and beyond. This is not a compliment. If its anyones first time, I would say the delicious story has begun. She serves just Love with no hesitation.
Sometimes, trying to support our own is not easy.. Owner was extremely rude, for no reason!Shrimp & grits, shrimp was undercooked, still had some grey color (didnt eat). Im old school and customer service is important! To the owner its nice to be nice! I saw that....KARMA
This was the most pleasant surprise Ive had in a while. The food is simply perfect, nothing else to say about it. The service is beyond fantastic! The lady that makes and serves the food is so friendly, that youll fall in love. Even if youre in a rush, take a break to enjoy this awesome food truck experience. Loved it!
I never When I Say Never Ive never gotten food from the corner store but this was the best chicken and rice I have purchased in my life. And I got extra onions and extra white sauce I dont know what seasoning to put on a chicken but it is the sweetest most savory chicken Ive ever tasted.
The food was good but the chef has a very nasty mouth. She curses at people that walk past and go to other vendors. I personally have seen her on 21st ST multiple times being very disrespectful. She cursed at me and called me various names because she messed my order up and I asked her about it. She threatened to throw hot oil on me and she told me she can do that because she was famous from being on POWER...She thinks its cute but customer service is very important.
I was in NYC for a week celebrating my 10th year wedding anniversary. On our last day in the city we decided to go back to Harlem and do some shopping and enjoy an outdoor concert. It was here where I smelled the most wonderful aroma of fried fish and decided to patronize this business. The wait was over 20 mins which was expected because of how many people were in line. But what wasnt expected was to be cursed out for getting ketchup and hot sauce for food that I purchased from the business and was readily available and offered to me when I got my food. I was called everything but a child of God by the chef and threatened to have my hand chopped off because she didnt know what I was reaching for. I have read the reviews and heard that she has such a beautiful soul, I just wish I had met that part of her that day. Her gift of cooking is undeniable but you can lose everything because of character flaws.
So as I was parking there was a food truck on the sidewalk. I walked around and saw it’s blacked owned. Of course I want to support and purchased fish and vegan tacos. I was skeptical because didn’t care for whitings or lettuce but the hustler came out of the owner and convinced me to get it anyway. She was very nice about it and wasn’t pushy or forcing me to get it. The vegan taco was superb, very shockingly good lol. My cousin loved the whiting and it was her first time. She said it was very different and good. #SupportBlack #TryIt #NoRegrets
This ECO Friendly Food Truck is Everything! People I am a Foodie hands down the Mac n Cheese bites R the Best I’ve ever had n believe ME I’ve tried them in several places. Chef Tami’s Signiture “Shrimp & Grits” R Amazing! She’s Truly “Homecooking” in this food truckMy life has been charged by eating her Delicious food, I Strongly RecommendedHarlem Seafood Soul
It was an honor to meet tami and her food truck , the moment I got out the train the smell of her food it was enticing I had to stop and chopped it up with her for a min , she is an amazing chef hats of to her I enjoyed the fried fish and Mac bites we had and wonderful conversation , you go black woman you rock so proud of you and yes I watch chopped on TV. Love you girl.💕
A little disappointed..... they said they are open but I’ve been searching for over and hour and I cant find them. I’m a native NEw Yorker and I was so excited to try this place. They should have a system in place to warn people when they are closed or moved so we don’t waste money traveling from far for nothing. Guess I have to go to Sylvia’s. Word of advice.... have someone check your Instagram and be responsive so you don’t lose business or customers who are loyal fans or newcomers. The one Star is only because I couldnt find you and you weren’t responsive on your social media. I am sure when I actually eat the food I will enjoy. Hopefully next time you will actually be there.

2022-05-05Fish & chips hit the spot, perfectly seasoned. Saint Tami made sure I didn’t leave without her new garlic aioli: divine.

2022-08-21Saw Chef Tami on the Netflix series “Street Food USA” and I loved her spirit so much that I was determined to visit Harlem and find her! Safe to say she was just as charismatic in person. Reminded me so much of my favorite auntie. The shrimp & grits were bomb and the fried Mac n cheese balls, OMG! Harlem is blessed to be served by Chef Tami ❤️

2022-08-07I had the shrimp and grits which was soaking in butter and pepper to a point that wiped any other taste. Also too pricy for the portion size. But the owner was pleasant and the service was quick given the amount of people waiting for their order.

One person who has battled nuhuman! tragedies and remains a beautiful humam!

2022-06-22Chef Tami is rare, a gem, food is fresh and prepared with love and skill. Additionally she helps Seniors and youth in the Harlem community without being a millionaire.

2018-04-19Chef Tammy is a very charismatic person. The food was great. I had the fish taco and shrimp and chips, which was great. The fries are really well seasoned.
