Food was good. Not great but good. Service and bartender was excellent. Very nice and friendly. The food was 3 stars and the service and people were 5 stars.
Great atmosphere, scenery and food.Our server Cheryl made us feel very comfortable and very willing to please. Sat indoors for lunch and on the deck for dessert watching the boats in the harbor. If you like maritime history check it out. Would definitely go back.
Fantastic food, friendly and comfortable environment, and views to die for. Very local feel and company. Public access to restaurant, but not to pier or dock. Boat moorings available (?) and accessible with launch service.
The food is great the staff and the owner very nice.Clean kid friendly the staff is very helpful they come out and make sure everything thing is ok.The Bartender the drinks yes.you will never be disappointed.went there for a mother day brunch fabulous.
This one wins the prize for most chill place to have a drink and a snack on the island. Nice view and no noise - noise is not welcome there.
Huge protected mooring field with great access to Long Island Sound. Beautiful clubhouse with restaurant and bar. Super views. Great people.

2022-06-11I have been a member for several years and love it. The Officers and very thoughtful and great people, and the members are friendly and genuine. I enjoy eating the tasty food, sailing and the fellowship with the wonderful staff. I highly recommend HYC for boat loving, water loving and people loving persons.

2017-09-08I love this place! The Vista is beyond beautiful, always gives me peace. Prices are very reasonable & great beer on tap! Bartender Shane is the best, make sure you try the fried shrimp & fries!

2022-02-22My friends and I are looking to join a yacht club and learn to sail as a step towards owning a boat together (two of them already know how to sail actually and could probably use a club boat program until were all up to speed). I sent a couple of emails to the membership email for Harlem Yacht Club with questions because they have an open house soon but we werent sure if we could attend. The pic is the response I received after over a week. When your Membership Chair insults prospective members, basically calling you stupid (yes, he literally wrote This is not difficult.) and then tells them to google the answers to their questions...chances are they have a toxic and exclusionary culture . Friendliest Club on City Island yeah, I dont think so ...steer clear!

2020-01-12This is a lovely local yacht club for those who want a spot on the water near NYC. They offer both full membership for boat owners and social membership for those who just want to enjoy the restaurant and the gorgeous view.

2021-07-26My wife and I ate here twice and will never go back again. Each time we went, we waited to be seated, were ignored, and the service was awful! A gentleman took us to a table and the only time we saw him again was when we got our check and he stunk like cigarettes. The food took 45 minutes both times. Perhaps if you are a member you are treated better. Clearly they dont want nonmembers eating here. There are plenty of other places to eat on City Island and better yacht clubs too. Dont go here--bad service and overpriced food.

2022-02-12Poorly run Yacht club !!Fordam University crew team shows up 5 days a week at 5:30am in the morning with 5 busses filled with over 35 Loud girls that Wake up the entire block and Harlem does absolutely nothing to quite them down !!Everyone in this neighborhood hates the Harlem Yacht club because of the noise they create on this Quite dead end street !!

2020-11-09We were invited by someone we met after we had dined. We went by just out of a sense of being polite and naturally curious. It was dark so we werent able to view the water & boats, etc. We do think its a very lovely club and we met some delightful people who welcomed us to their table. We intend to follow up on having dinner, drinks and more laughs & conversation as soon as were able.Thank you Dave, Egypt and Picque! Cant wait to hang out with you again
