It’s not polished. It’s not glam. The building is old. There are not 100 machines for your work-out.But the staff are friendly, greet you and courteous. And the community of people that work-out there are nice as well. It’s what I expect of a ymca in a densely-populated section of the city, but kinder.

I called to figure out how to go about rectifying a glitch on their website that did not allow me to pay for my son to attend their summer camp. The executive director of the YMCA had a very nasty attitude & condescending demeanor for no reason when the problem was admittedly no fault of my own. If thats how the head of management carries herself with adults, you could only imagine how she interacts with the children & how that encourages the employees she oversees to conduct themselves carelessly. I would think twice before paying $1,500 just for one month of summer camp when its managed by a woman with 0 sense of home training to conduct herself professionally & respectfully within a conversation with another adult.

Great stay with friendly staff. The rooms are small, but the bunk beds were neat and the room was clean. There are shared bathrooms, but those are clean as well. The key cards, however, worked whenever they wanted to, so that may be something that can be addressed. Otherwise great stay!

The hotel was OK. It was cheap, by the metro, and I also liked how it has saunas. Although the AC in our room barely worked and it was difficult just trying to sleep. The area was okay, a few blocks away from Central Park. Although there’s a lot of black people in this area that stare at you for being white or a tourist. Just know your street smarts, don’t talk to shady people and you’ll be fine. Would recommend for people that plan on staying a week, on a budget. Just know it’s very basic and minimal.

We stayed here for 2 nights earlier this month. The location of the hotel cannot be beat. The hotel’s transportation is very convenient. All the areas were very clean. The bathroom was of a small size. I dont think I have even seen worst bathroom and toilet facility in anywhere.

Adequately equipped as far as machines and free weights. Some of the machines are very close together because of the limited space but you can still get a solid workout in. I dont believe this facility has an indoor track. The staff is pleasant and helpful.

I was vacationing and seen they had decent priced rooms close to a area i could easy to n from while i was here. When i went to check in which was very late due to my flight i was told i couldn’t be checked in and i wouldn’t be able to stay on the property. They were very rude about it even before they realize i was getting i room i asked for a bathroom n i was told they were closed .. but yeah i am not from here so being out by myself as a woman tourist in the middle of NEW YORK AT 1 in the morning isn’t the brightest idea. So yeah wouldn’t recommend for tourist.

This hotel is the best. It is very peaceful plus staff is openly helpful and very sportive. My stay has been truly peaceful and have been recuperating from my physical issues resting comfortably with staff constant checkups. Thank you staff for having patient and understanding.
