I cannot overemphasize the honesty, integrity and straightforward service call I just received for my broken gas fireplace from Harris Hearth And Home. I highly recommend this business for anyone who has an issue with their gas fireplace, or is thinking about getting a new one!Harris showed up himself, a friendly gentleman, and diagnosed the issue very quickly. After resolving the problem (a bad electrical connection) he continued to troubleshoot my gas valve and made adjustments to my pilot flame to help my unit run more efficiently and quietly. The cost was so reasonable, and on low side of the range he quoted before his arrival.I wish all service calls for everything in my home could be this pleasant!
Harris did a great job on the rebuild of my chimney. He was honest and fair with his price. You cant go wrong using them. I definitely recommend them!

Harris and his team did a great job installing a gas fireplace insert for me. I was able to explain exactly what I was looking for and Harris had great suggestions and was able to very quickly schedule my job and get all of the necessary parts. Our fireplace looks and works great and the price was better than other quotes I received. I highly recommend Harris Hearth & Home.
I had my gas fireplace serviced by Harris Heart and Home. My entire experience from start to finish was fantastic. Larry who serviced my fireplace was professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. If you need your fireplace serviced, these would be the people to call!
Harris arrived for our appointment promptly and was very courteous. I had contacted him to evaluate the condition of my chimney and to install a chimney screen. He came completely prepared and did the work promptly and efficiently. He even checked the condition of my chimney and sealed any cracks he found at the base to ensure there would be no leaks for the coming winter. He was knowledgeable and very personable and I would definitely recommend him for all your chimney related needs.
Spoke with Harris re battery problem with remote for gas fireplace. He asked me to text photos so he can see remote and what was not working. Had just replaced batteries on remote but he suggested try different new batteries. Changing batteries again worked well. He wanted to spare cost of technician coming to home if he could help by phone. Very professional, great customer service and expertise. Would call them again if necessary.
Harris converted our always smokey wood burning fireplace to a beautiful, clean, and easy to use gas fireplace. He was great to work with! He made sure we got the right model for our space and needs and finished the job quickly and efficiently. Also, his quote was much more reasonable than others we had received.
We are extremely happy with the beautiful fireplace Harris & his team built for us. Their professionalism and craftsmanship are top-notch. We collaborated on the design of the 3-sided rustic fireplace and my vision materialized perfectly. Harris and his team rebuilt our 100 year old chimney - awesome work and friendly, down to earth customer service that is so rare these days. Hot hot hot work but they never wavered or lost their great attitude. Highly recommend!
Harris installed a beautiful Valor gas fireplace in an existing mantel. We really love it! It is such a pleasure to work with Harris, he is extremely knowledgeable and hardworking; he is responsive and reliable; his work is very fairly priced; and he has an easygoing demeanor. Harris responded immediately to my call about a problem with my gas fireplace. After inspecting the fireplace he gave me valued information and determined that the problem might just have been snow storm related. He did not charge for the visit and was super easygoing. Ive called many companies and Harris seemed to be the only one willing to do the job. We spoke for a while about how companies arent even calling people back to deny work and how communication was a key part of business.After Harris came to look at the job, he said he could do it, gave a verb estimate. He said hed give an official estimate and then began - avoiding the job with any excuse possible.1st is was we can schedule in 2 weeks, then it was were backed up with previously booked jobs, then his worker got hurt (i even expressed my concern for that worker).Then it was Ill get the estimate over to you from quick books, then its, were so busy, o dont know how long you can wait - he wished he had a time machine ...I clearly asked him if he still wanted the job - no response - I finally gave up.I dont want this guy working in my home. Hes either that absent minded or doesnt want the job - but hes clearly unreliable.
The only guy to use in New York. All the others are not as useful or experienced. Technician Larry came to the house to repair my 90 year old damper and knob. I never thought they would be able to fix it but they did!! They are totally knowledgeable when it comes to new or old fireplaces. I’ll be recommending them from here on out!
Technician came to my house for maintenance, after arriving late they just dry vac and cleaned the glass. I asked them to replace the rocks and embers. His response was “ I don’t have my truck so I don’t have any tools or parts”. So I (the customer) gets screwed. The main reason I called was for them to clean the vent leading outside. I have a newborn coming so wanted to make sure everything is safe. He argued that they never clean the vents. I used them 3 times in the past 5 years and they cleaned it every time. I was charged over 200 dollars for something I could’ve done myself. When I called the office they assured me they would call me back to make this right. Haven’t heard from them since. Unprofessional and rude STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS! You would think during COVID a company would do everything to make sure the customer is happy. Thanks for ripping me off. I will also be writing to the BBB on this.
Harris and one of his crew members, Larry did a wonderful job replacing/updating my pilot-burner gas fireplace. They were on time, courteous and very clean. Looking forward to doing business again ;)
I have called and left messages for Harris on numerous occasions, all went unanswered. When a co-worker was able to contact him I did speak with him and set up an appointment for today at 5:00 PM. As of this writing there has been no contact with him. I’ve called his office and cell phone and again no answer. I would not recommend Harris Hearth and Home. I would highly recommend that if you are contemplating using him, get a more professional company. I also await Harris’s response.
We had a leak in our chimney that we called Harris to inspect it. I figured it was something with the flashing again. He came the same day and inspected the chimney. He figured out it was a condensation issue as he put it and recommended a stainless steel liner be put in it to fix the leak isssue. Since we got it done there has been absolutely no water issues at alll. He was honest and kept his word on everything, we could not be more satisfied. Highly recommend him.
Harris did a fabulous job. He understood what we wanted. He even corrected other contractors mistakes to make the end result perfect. It was a pleasure to work with him.
Great experience. Needed mesh around cap to keep birds out and Harris came on time for free quote. Got the job done the next morning! Very professional and honest, will definitely use again in the future.
Harris Hearth And Home were prompt, conscientious and reasonably priced. They came not long after I called for service, they were neat, polite and quick. I have already recommended them to friends.
Spoke to them on the phone told them exactly how bad my chimney was they gave me a fair price and two days later bam job is done! And on top of that I didn’t get a call from my wife with any complaints and that is priceless! Thank you!
Harris and his team installed a Firepalce in my house and it looks amazing! The price was good and the work is perfect.

2022-05-09Made my fireplace dreams come true! 100% recommend this company. Harris is talented, friendly, quick to respond and answers all my thousands of questions and overall wonderful to work with. Logan is also incredibly talented. I have been dreaming of this fireplace for a long time and they made it come true. It was reasonably price compared to several other local companies.

2021-11-26Harris put my Fireplace in last year.. What a job!! Clean and beautiful!! Couldn’t ask for a better job. I had a little issue this year putting the fireplace on. No fault to Harris. I texted him at 8:00 at night and he responded with in 10 min. That’s customer service for you. He even sent one of his guys over with in 2 days to make sure everything was up and running correctly.. Free of charge!!!! That worked for me. I also priced 3 other installers and Harris was the cheapest. Thank U Harris everyone loved the fireplace on Thanksgivings!!!

2022-02-06We have been Harris’s customers for about 15 years. He has always been honest, even when it meant we did not do a job when we were considering. Most recently we converted our wood fireplace to gas using gas logs. Great decision and he guided us to a great quality set of logs. His crew was very respectful of our home and cleaned up after themselves after the installation. Would recommend Harris without hesitation.

2022-02-16I reached out to Harris Hearth and Home in January when my gas fireplace stopped working. A technician came out within a few days. The fireplace was old and was not salvageable, the technician said that it was unsafe. A lot of the parts had started to decompose. Harris Hearth and Home to the rescue!!!!! A new fireplace was installed within a few weeks. Their team impressed me, they were reliable and informative. I must say that Harris Hearth and Home are the best!!Wanda Gary

2020-10-22Harris took care of my gas fireplace after 3 other “ experts” were unable to repair it. The technician was polite... informative and meticulous.When they originally came they had a part that didn’t work. In less than a week’s time they returned with the correct part.Not only did they repair the fireplace, they cleaned it, intensified the height of the flame, and polished the glass! It was wonderful working with a company that takes pride in what they are doing ! Great job... thank you!

2020-02-28Excellent customer service !!! HARRIS kept in constant communication with us and updated us as parts were ordered directly from the manufacturer. Both HARRIS and Larry were extremely professional. We weren’t charged for the consultation. Larry was able to repair our fireplace that Hot Concepts failed to do previously. Service was prompt and thorough. Larry did an excellent job even placing a work mat down while he repaired our unit (it was extra appreciative since we have a baby that crawls around the house all day) and he even cleaned and vacuumed the fireplace inside and also cleaned it from the outside. Would 110% recommend them to anyone that needs a fireplace repaired.

2019-12-19Harris was unbelievably helpful! I called him with questions about an old gas log fireplace that would not stay lit. He helped me to get it up and running over the phone! He really knows his stuff, is honest, and is clearly interesting cultivating a satisfied clientele rather than charging for unnecessary repairs or replacements! I would definitely recommend him to a friend and will call him again in the future if my fireplace needs repair!

2021-02-05We moved into our home 6 years ago and never had a functioning fireplace. There was a large insert in place that had a broken exhaust pipe. Harris and his team removed the old insert, replaced the inside of the chimney and installed a new wood burning insert. Not only is the insert beautiful but it heats the house! Our National Grid bill has never been lower in the Winter! They also put on a beautiful stone facade and a reclaimed beam for a mantle. They also repaired a second chimney we have for the furnace that was falling apart. Harris and his team were so easy to work with. I highly recommend them! Weve had a fire every night since they installed the insert. My only worry is that were going to run out of wood!
