Strato, Chris L, and Jonathan repaired the boiler for my apartment and got the heating going. They did a great job and were able to source a part and get it installed and running in a couple of hours.

Harris Plumbing and Heating came to perform a gas inspection to satisfy the new NYC Local Law 152. The customer service rep helped me identify the district that I belonged to, what my compliance date was, and scheduled an appointment for an inspection right away. They came over by the end of the week and helped me file all of the appropriate paperwork for filing with the city. I was very nervous and confused about the process, but they were great at helping me understand what was necessary and did it for me!
This company is fantastic, I couldn’t recommend more. They’re professional, articulate, and on time. For someone that doesn’t know much about plumbing, it’s important to me that my plumber takes their time in describing what is happening, the cause, the solution, etc. I trust them so much, they’ve been very helpful!

We had a pretty big emergency this morning when raw sewage started spewing out of pipe located on the side of the house. Since I have insurance for water and sewer I immediately called the insurance company. They recommended a company that refused to even come to look at what could be done because the main clean out is in the crawl space under the house. They said I needed to hire a contractor to cut a hole in the floor of my family room or hire a licensed plumber to dig up the alley way, make a hole in my foundation and install a “clean out” to the outside of the house. The insurance company then put Harris in contact with me. I explained the problem to their technician Shane and he said he would be here in 30 minutes. Shane knew just what to do to do to fix the problem without having to go into the crawl space. I can’t express enough how grateful I am that they were able to correct the problem without any damage to the house or property.
A+ experience- they were a lifesaver when my toilet randomly exploded and saved me from costly damages to the apartment underneath me. I recommend them to anyone looking for a professional and trustworthy plumbing service (they are hard to find!!)
I used Harris Plumbing & Heating recently National Grid shut off gas line in my home. This Company Master Plumber and Staff are very good. Professional , good listeners, reasonable prices. If you want it done right I highly recommend this Company.

2022-05-26Harris Plumbing & Heating is the best company I’ve dealt with. The team members are extremely professional and timely that you can rely on. I had to replace two Gas meter bars, pressure test the existing risers and replace Gas cocks in a newly purchased house. Strato came out and took time to inspect the current conditions of pipes and connection and provided a great rate and best plan. I had some complex issues and Pat worked with DOB and National Grid to fully satisfy every single one of my needs. Very satisfied with the service received, highly recommended!!!

2022-08-14I worked with Strato & Nikolay to get a backwater check valve installed in my parents basement in Marine Park, Brooklyn. I really appreciated how responsive the team was. I was able to coordinate everything from California so that the work was done while my parents were home on vacation and despite the way the job got increasingly complicated, they were able to finish everything and do so on my parents schedule and within the bounds of our initial estimate! Workers showed up on time at the start of everyday, provided detailed accounts of all the work done, and have followed up a week or so after the job was completed to be sure we were satisfied and that everything was working properly! Hopefully, I dont have too many more plumbing needs, but if I do, I will definitely be reaching out to them.

2022-06-14Called 30+ plumbers in New York City for application for new water meter permit. Nobody wanted to help. Spoke with Joey from Harris Plumbing and within 2 weeks I got my water meter permit and everything was installed and application filed. They are the best in the business and Murshell is a wonderful person to work with. I highly highly recommend this company. They will NOT disappoint you.

2022-03-27My bathroom ceiling fell in when i had guests staying with me. The toilet in the upstairs unit had spring a leak. Stratos sent Chris over the next day and did a quick diagnosis and repair for a reasonable price. Harris continues to be my go-to plumbers.

2021-12-30I called Harris Plumbing in mid October to get a quote on converting from oil to natural gas heat. The job entailed replacing the very old steam boiler that had stopped working along with the leaking hot water heater. They sent Tony who assessed the job and listened to my concerns so that I felt very comfortable working with them. Upon signing the contract they scheduled a crew to start the work within a few days. And their crews did an excellent job. All permits and approvals were obtained and NYC DOB inspected the work and signed off on the work. Terrific team work!

2022-01-23My building had stopped giving heat and I called The Harris Plumbing & Heating Company in hopes that I could get this matter taken care of immediately. A plumber named Stratos was sent to me and I had nothing but an amazing experience with him. He was polite, professional, and quick to resolving my issue. In about 30 minutes or maybe even less my building was giving heat! Big thanks to Stratos and his dexterity and Friendliness.

2021-09-27I could not recommend this plumbing company enough. The woman I spoke to while setting up my appointment was so kind and professional and outlined every step of the process before sending a contractor to my home for a free estimate. I felt that the price to repair my water heater was fair, and the day after I received my quote, a plumber was at my home to make the repairs.I have had many a negative experience with plumbing companies, but this one was so pleasant from beginning to end.

2021-09-27My wife Edie and I hired Harris Plumbing to install our hot water heater last month. My wife spoke to the receptionist and was very happy with the customer service she received.
