Cozy little Irish bar. Solid beer selection with friendly service and delicious plates of food. Went for Saturday brunch, it wasnt annoying and it was actually quite calm, which was nice. The quality of the food was very good as well; thick cut bacon and perfectly cooked eggs. Definitely going to come back and recommend to friends.
This is an Irish establishment, but not in the ubiquitous pub sense; its a bar first, not a dive. It feels comfortable and a place where youd actually want to spend time in. That said, it doesnt have thrills, it doesnt have pretense, just a space to have a good drink and conversation while feeling comfortable. I think thats just fine.
At the moment you enter this restaurant the waiters give you a pleasant feeling. Very hospitable stuff, it is a lovely place to to go out with buddies or with your date. enjoyable meals, creative chef, decent pay and courteous service. Highly recommended.

This small Irish pub is my favorite in the city. The aesthetic is clean and minimalist. The white walls keep the interior bright while the wooden furnishings give the place a warm feel. The bartenders are easygoing and kind. Happy hour has great drink prices and the food is authentic and *so* good. My favorite is the house-spiced beef sandwich on soda bread. On some nights the bar is packed for live Irish music, and on others it’s quiet and calm. I don’t need to look any farther for my regular Irish pub than this gem in Clinton Hill.

Hosted a private event at Hartleys for my husbands 40th birthday. Mike and his team were a pleasure to work with. Extremely responsive in planning communication, very clear and accommodating and I felt the whole experience was really well priced for the quality and service we received. Day of we had around 15 people and Mike behind the bar was awesome at handling my 1 off requests and generally managing a pretty energetic group. Food and drinks as always excellent. Great time and a chill crew to deal with. If youre looking to throw an event with an intimate, elegant but also casual and relaxed vibe, highly recommend Harleys.

The space is relaxing and the drinks are fantastic. Everybody that works here is friendly and makes you feel right at home. Also, whatever playlist they have for music is stellar. Just found my new favorite spot. Highly recommend checking it out.

Excellent food. The soda bread cheese toasties are great and the beef sandwich is particularly good. They have what is probably the tastiest Gin cocktail I have ever had and the bartenders are the best!
One of my favorite places in to slug down Guinness and not deal with a bunch of douchebags. Dartboards, awesome staff, always have a great time here. Low-key but there is a rowdy crew of regulars that hang....tons of fun if you live in the area.

Not your frat-boys Irish pub but truer to the original in decor and spirit. You wont see car-bombs here but a good vibe and nice conversation. Music on Mondays. One of my favorite bars in Brooklyn.
Hartleys is relatively small and has a cozy atmosphere, more like a traditional pub (no tvs, for example, and a reminder on the wall that conversation is a good thing). The staff is friendly, and while the menu is not extensive, the food is very, very good. (The pricing does veer towards the upscale pub side--a sandwich does not include a side, etc.) We will definitely be making this a regular stop when we are in the area.

2019-02-17Small but clean, sharp looking Irish pub. 8 beers on tap, a hand full of cans, a bunch of cocktails and a small food menu. They have a coat rack when you walk in, which I think is a nice touch. Not that I assumed it wouldnt clean, but I was impressed by how neat and sharp the whole place is. It is dim lit but there is a big window in the front that lets in some natural light. They have a picnic table o it front but I am not sure about taking any food or beer out there.
