Fabulous experience from start to finish. They accommodated me with a very last minute appointment, which was a real blessing. Early motherhood has taken it’s toll, my hair was nearly down to my butt and driving me crazy! I explained my predicament and I was given an easily-cared for new hairstyle — I feel like a whole new person!
Excellent service! The entire staff was so helpful and patient with me and my six month old son! As a new mom I needed to spice up my look a little! I am a very dark brunette and I wanted to brighten up a bit for summer. Very happy with my look. I would recommend Kathy who was extremely professional and so easy to talk to. Honest and fair prices! Will be returning!!!

Friendly and attentive staff. The reason for the 3 stars is because I made my appointment for a half head of highlights and was given a full head, which was now more money then I intended to pay, and went in for a bob which is just ok. The styling wasn’t great. I left with a flat bob. Needed more layers around my face. I did see that they work better with long hair.
Love this Salon and their staff. Michelle is my girl and after a horrible hair weekend with another hairstylist from another Salon, she totally worked her magic and fixed my hair. Cannot thank her enough! She’s the best.
I love their hair cut but I wish they could do a little more like in blow dry where final look is established. I’m never really happy after blow dry seems like they don’t put much effort.
I booked an appointment with Bona after seeing her work on Instagram and i could have not been more excited. I was very anxious because i had not colored my hair in quite some time. Bona really took her time to listen to what i wanted and did not want and gave me the most beautiful balayage i have ever had. She truly is the queen of hair coloring and cutting. I definitely will be back
I was very impressed. Tiffany and D were awesome, HOWEVER we had spoken about the pirple and black...and, im just...ita almost all black. But, the cut is beautiful, and since i can..just CAN NOT afford for her to strip it so the purple comes out, i may call any see IF i can do the process so i can get the putple we talked about....i will come back in...will a few areas stripped and MAYBES we can find somewhere in the middle....like i sad.MORE THAN ANYTHINGI WANTED THE PIRPLE TO CONTRAST MUVH MORE..we spoke about it quite a bit..But, other than that i would recommend them to anyome. Absolrtrly anyone.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I called for a hair appointment a week before July 4th, they gave me an appointment for that day for me and my aunt (who was coming from Brooklyn). I had specifically asked if they would be open since it is a holiday. The lady on the phone had told me yes we would! I got the appointment for 2 pm. I get to the salon at 1.50 pm and she tells me “ohh im about to leave, i was just going to call you if you can come in earlier, i have people waiting at home” like what????? so here i have my aunt that i had referred to this salon come all the way from Brooklyn for this. I tell her what wanna get done, she says I can’t do this. THEY’RE A JOKE!!!
This is the best hair salon in staten island. I have been to almost every single salon on the island and none compare to this. they really know what they are doing, the salon is gorgeous and very clean. their prices are also very reasonable
Valbona was Amazing she fixed my hair color ,the girl who washed my hair and gave me a blow out was amazing she really did a great job thank you so much,cant wait to go back with my two daughters there gonna love this place
So good I came here for the first time yesterday and they offered rinks and it was a good experience they played music and it did not take long if you come at good time definitely recommend, love my new hair!

I went for a hair cut and decides to get a call as well, but my hair is very hard to stick a color into it. So I asked the lady who was doing my hair if it was ok to get my own color and you do it for me. So the lady said “ok, I can do that”. The she asked the own and she said “no, she has to her a color from us”, the I said “ok, no pro”. While I was speaking to her, I heard the own speaking to another customer that she was doing “this one is gonna give us a hard time” and the customer says “I can see that”. How rude can you get for a new customer like me coming in for the first time. The own is very rude and disrespectful. I will never go back there. They just lost a customer!

2022-06-12They did not listen to anything I said. I mentioned i wanted to have chocolate highlights and even out my color. They proceeded to lift my hair way more than needed and gave me honey highlights all over my head instead. My hair is COMPLETELY DAMAGED, and that’s on top of not leaving with the color I wanted. I called and tried to speak to someone twice about my curly hair and it’s needs beforehand, I wanted to make sure they knew what they were doing. I was tricked into trusting them. My curls are ruined and they acted like it wasn’t a big deal, there are methods to avoid this and you didn’t utilize any of them. Haven, next time someone calls you to ask if you guys are skilled in working with curly hair… SAY NO.

2022-04-28My fiance came here for a trim and color and was very satisfied. She plans on coming back. I recommend this place on Newdorp Lane. Parking might be an issue but you can park on Edison or two hour metered parking. Ask for Sonia. She cut my fiances hair.

2022-01-29Im probably of the easiest customers you can get. Ill usually have a color idea and then seek the wisdom of the stylist, since youre the professional and know the color process/work more then me since I have a dark hair. For reference, im not asking for purple hair or a super bleached processed job - maybe Ill go a jlo golden/brown shade or something along those lines.. - and im pretty open minded so if you suggest something different or a variation of it ill usually go for it on your suggestion.I asked for a balayage. Never got asked color idea though i had mentioned honey/caramel. Instead, of a balayage ..i got a full head of highlights instead. Which i noticed in the reviews, another customer had the same issue. Totally not what i asked for. My hair was cut dry, part not even centered or straight and just dry chopped across. I asked for it V shaped in the back. Thought maybe after the color/shampoo/toner washed out we would touch up the haircut, cut with that shape in the back, even out the angles in the front and make sure its even.. like most stylist do!! I havr never had someone just grab stands and chop. Just dry. My hair is wavy, I wear it mainly straightened. I didnt get ask about the toner or if I wanted a color that was warmer or even just confirming the honey color I mentioned in the beginning. I sat at the sink, shampood, toned, whatever and went to the chair after. No touch up on the haircut. My hair was just blowed dried with little effort and the round brush. Just lazily. I didnt get asked if I wanted it straightened or anything.I just feel like for the $250 I paid before tipping I left completely disappointed. My dark hair now has ash colored highlights that look grayish in the sunlight and nothing like I envisioned.This cant be one of the top 3 or even top 5 salons in Staten Island, because if it is then youre better off going to the mall and getting your hair done. Its a shame, I was so excited to try this place based on the reviews and Im starting to think theyre all fake positive reviews I was excited to treat myself to a little mommy makeover after a few years of just growing my natural hair color out.. that I honestly wish I just saved my money and the time wasted. 😔

2021-08-29The only reason I am giving the Salon a 3 is because Valbona did a wonderful job with my 1st baloyage. True professional. Scheduled a second appointment, appointment over the phone was for 2 pm. Confirmation text was for 1 pm, which I automatically replied to with a confirmed. Was around the corner from the salon when I got at 1: 20 pm to not bother coming. Was not given an option to even reschedule. You can be the master at what you do, but if you treat people like this, we will take our money and our tips somewhere else. Thank you and have a great day!

2019-07-21Amazing place! I wanted to balyage my brown hair into a light blonde with no notice. I called around 4:15 PM, looking for an appointment that day, and was asked if I could be there in 20 minutes. It turns out she was the only employee working, but still managed to fit me in while doing 3 other clients. The owner did my hair, and she did a fabulous job. Because of products I had used in the past, when she applied the bleach my hair turned green. She quickly fixed the problem and it came out perfect. Not only that, she also stayed an extra hour or so after closing so she could finish my hair, rather than initially telling me to come another day, as she knew she wouldnt be done by 7 PM. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone on Staten Island, the staff are welcoming and experienced.

2018-11-19I love what they did to my hair. They explained to me how Keratin Treatment works and it is a miracle. My hair was super dried because of the chemicals that I put but they made it shiny again. Customer service is as great as well. I recommend this salon!!! 5 stars.

2018-01-25Had a great haircut with Valbona today! I had no set hairstyle in mind so we talked about hair texture and appropriate length to add volume and she did exactly what we agreed on. No over-cutting!! The salon is elegant, minimalist and very clean. Service was friendly and attentive from the moment I stepped in. I think I found a new hairstylist and Salon, no more trecking into Manhattan!!
