My experience with Healthy Basement Systems was very positive from beginning to end. It began when I requested an appointment to explore options for a cottage partial basement and crawl space that was constantly at about 90 percent humidity leading to mold and odors etc. Frank Filice was the Systems Designer / Salesperson who came to inspect the job and recommend possible solutions. I never felt pressured or oversold and was able to call him multiple times to ask questions and tweak the job. His recommendations were reasonable given my problem. The installation crew arrived as planned and immediately got to work. They sprayed for mold, vacuumed and then encapsulated the basement area. Carlos Ramirez was the Foreman and he had 3 assistants. All of them were excellent workers, polite and took time to explain things and allowed me periodically to inspect their progress (I always like to see how things are done). They cleaned up perfectly after the job. Im very pleased with the outcome. I purchased my own dehumidifier because the one offered by the company was much more than I needed for my space. Since installation, the humidity has been averaging 55 / 60 percent and the odors are gone. Im optimistic that this will continue and my problem will be solved.
Chris & Chris we’re at my home today and installed 2 Sunhouses, replaced my dryer vent and installed a Sanidry Sedona humidifier. They did a great job and were very friendly. I am very happy with the installations.
Bill Simons’s Healthy Basement Systems, recently completed two projects in our Huntington home. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end.We first met with Eric, who helped us address basement flooding and leaking rain water from our cellar windows. He was patient, knowledgeable, and was able to answer all of our questions. He was kind and through, spending a great deal of his time to educate us about our options. Together we made a plan that fit out budget to ensure that water is never a problem in our basement again. I appreciate how quickly the crew was able to get started. They worked efficiently and were respectful of my home; cleaning up after each day of work. So far we haven’t had any issues with water leaking and it’s been a relief to no longer worry when it rains.After the work was complete, Eric introduced us to Paul for an estimate for finishing the basement. My husband and I liked him from the start, he listened carefully to our vision and was able to create a draft of our dream basement. He worked quickly to get us an estimate and we appreciated the transparency of the cost of each step. He was able to provide us an itemized list of the cost of supplies and installation. He worked with us to keep us under budget without compromising our ultimate goals. For example he suggested we run rough electric and plumbing for a future bathroom and bar. It’s exciting to know that those are projects we can easily add in the future.Once the plans were finalized, Paul and his crew started quickly on the job. They showed up on time each day and worked diligently. Paul was sensitive to the fact that I was expecting my daughter on November 25th, and it was clear that he made every effort to get the job done fast without cutting corners. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and like to understand the installation process. Paul was beyond patient with me- always taking time to address my concerns. He constantly made himself available to me; both in the evenings and on weekends. I appreciate this so much knowing that he has a big family of his own. Paul was able to complete the job in less time then promised- and I am so grateful because my daughter made a surprise arrival on November 7th!The crews that worked with both Eric and Paul were excellent. They were polite and worked very hard, taking pride in their work. Denise In the office was also very helpful with communicating our payments and was always prompt in getting back to me. In addition to being professionals who do excellent work, the staff are genuine and kind people. My husband Rob and I couldn’t not be happier with our new basement.

I purchased a new house in November that had water in the crawl space. With that water there was mold in the floor insulation. HBS came in and removed all water, installed a sump, removed insulation, cleaned mold then re- insulated and sealed up entire crawl space. Previously there was 90%+ humidity down there, now it is held between 45 and 50 at all times. I have had other contractors (plumbers and electricians) in the crawl space since and they have remarked on how great and tight everything is down there.I highly recommend.

We called Healthy Basement Systems & one other company for an estimate to seal our crawl space. A representative of the other company came first. He went into the crawl space wearing regular work clothes, spent about 15 minutes there & came out. He showed us a couple of photos and said he would send an estimate.Eric Greenberg of Healthy Basement Systems came about 2 weeks later. But in the meantime he had sent us a book about what to expect. When Eric showered up, he sat with us and explained some of the things that might be needed, then got ready to go into the crawl space. He put on a hazmat suit, gloves and a respirator mask. He spent about 45 minutes to an hour down there, taking pictures and measurements.When he emerged, he took off the suit and came inside to go over everything. He took us step by step through the process and calculated the cost for each step. The total cost was slightly higher than the first company, but it included several things that the first quote didnt plus a few things that were an improvement. We signed up immediately.Nick Tasman was the foreman of the crew that came to do the job. They came on schedule, but due to the heavy rains from Henri, there was about 2 inches of water that had seeped up from the ground, and they didnt want to do the full job with that much water. They did what they could, which included installing the pump. It was then our job to get an electrician and a plumber to hook up the pump. Once this was done, Nick and his crew were back to complete the job.The crawl space is now dry. A difficult job done perfectly.
Paul stopped by in the Summer of 2021, spent an hour going over my design for a finished basement. I followed up later in 2021 and in 2022. He never got back to me with an estimate.
Eric Greenberg was super helpful and knowledgeable. I was happy to meet him and explained alot of things regarding foundations and basements. No upsells nothing like that. Professional portfolio that came to the mail too. Very impressive business.

I had the best experience with Healthy Basement Systems. From the initial consultation with Rich who was very knowledgeable about basements and the various options the company has to offer. On installation day, the workers were extremely careful and courteous while working in my home. They installed a pump and a dehumidifier. The Forman on the job was David and his assistant was Justin who were both very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I would not hesitate to use this company if you have issues with your basement that need to be resolved.
Healthy Basement Systems saved us! We were first time home buyers who had no idea we were in a high water table area. We read watched several companies and HBS offered more than we thought we would need. With a water saver system to allow for storage in our crawl space, several pumps, and a dehumidifier, we have been dry ever since. They worked fast and cleaned up well! About 2 weeks after buying my house, I came home to a flooded basement with over 3 inches of water and rising. I didnt know what to do! Then a friend told me about Healthy Basement systems who I later called and they installed a triple safe sump pump and a wall drainage systems at an affordable price. Their courteous installers also gave me a few hints and tips to help relieve my mold problem that started in the basement. They also took their time to explain how everything worked and why i was having flooding. Its been 3 years now and I havent had any flooding or mold issues since.Thank you Healthy Basement System!
I have been using Healthy Basement Systems for over 15 years after having water in my basement. The water table under my home can get quite high after long rainy days.. I found this company after some research and have had 2 pumps installed in addition to them refinishing my basement with the last pump install. HBS did an amazing job and were always professional and a pleasure to work with. I ask for the same tech to do my yearly services of the pumps as he has been here from the beginning and is familiar with my home. The office staff are also always polite and accommodating.. Since Covid, we are in the house more than we are out. We decided to make our unhealthy basement healthy, and finish the basement too. Gabriel Ryan was the representative that came to assess our basement. He spent a lot of time explaining the whole system. He was upfront with the pricing and allowed us to make changes with no problems. The entire team worked efficiently and worked just about every day till the job was done. We are very happy with our new basement.

I had purchased a house recently and found that water seeping into my basement, so I called healthy basements and asked for estimate. Frank Felice came and explained me the whole issue and installing a French drain and motor to drain the water out. He explained with power point presentation that this will be ideal and good solution to solve it. They estimated thousands of dollars and I agreed and paid the money. They came did the work and left. Few weeks later I had the same issue and called them again. They sent a guy and applied more cement on the leakage area. They said that should fix the issue. Few weeks later I had water seeping again and this time when I call Frank who initially said would solve the issue is now gives attitude to respond and said it’s service department issue and they will come and fix it.They guy who said the French drain is the perfect solution for this issue now refers me to service department and doesn’t even want toCome and look at the issue. Once you pay them the money they have a very different and rude attitude.Please don’t hire these people and end up a victimAfter paying them the money!!!
Based on my experience, Healthy Basement Systems is a very professional and reliable company. I contacted Healthy Basement Systems to evaluate a potential issue with my house foundation. A very professional and knowledgeable representative, Gabriel Ryan, called back to schedule a free consultation. The appointment was scheduled quickly for a date that was convenient for me. Before our appointment, I received a packet in the mail that provided comprehensive information about basement construction and foundation issues. On the day of our appointment, Gabriel called me in the morning to confirm our meeting time and then again a half hour before he arrived. Upon arrival he took extra care to keep my carpeting clean by putting on shoe coverings. He proceeded to examine the area in question, he described his expertise and the services available through Healthy Basement Systems. His evaluation was thorough and I appreciated his honesty when he said we didn’t have an issue at all. Another company might have tried to sell me on an unnecessary treatment. I was extremely pleased with my experience with Healthy Basement Systems and their representative, Gabriel Ryan, and highly recommend their services.
Installed a basement dehumidification system (SaniDry) with Healthy Basement Systems. It was easy to get an inspection and estimate, and the actual installation was quick and professional. Their guy took a look around the rest of the basement and pointed out problems to watch out for, but didnt try to sell us immediately on any other work. Hopefully there will be no need, but wed absolutely call on them if we need any more substantial basement work in the future.
My experience with Bill Simones healthy basement system was so professional, starting with Linda, the receptionist who was so kind and professional and personable to Scott Tripp who made sure to call before appointment and being punctual He was extremely knowledgeable, going up and beyond to investigate potential problems in crawlspace. He patiently explained what type of problems could occur and solutions for them. His equipment was immaculate and he wore mask at all ttimes while he was here. We hired HBS for our crawl space and we have no regret! It was a great experience from start to finish. Ask for Gabriel, the inspector, hes very professional and knowledgeable. Once the job was done, he came back to inspect the work. The foreman (Dave) and his team arrived on time and finished the job without any delays or issues. Finally, Maria was very helpful and extremely accommodating through this experience. I would highly recommend HBS!
UPDATE 12/11/2020I had another company come in and inform us that the system installed was completely unnecessary in fixing our water issues, and HBS sold us something we didnt need. After arguing back and forth HBS agreed to remove the system if I took down my negative reviews. When sending their crew back we were informed they now couldnt remove the system because of metal studs put up in front of the system. I offered to take them down but was told no and they would need to come back. Now Im told that they wont come back to remove it unless I pay them another $750! Or my other option is to keep the useless system that I NEVER NEEDED and they would only refund me half, just incase I suddenly develop an issue that will require a sump pump. Ummmm what??? Yes please let me keep a $3000 system that literally does nothing for me. This company should be ashamed!! They put in a system I never needed to make $3000 off me, acknowledged it, and now are trying to scam me out of more money!! I was told that I should just be happy to have a dry basement... and when I told them their company had nothing to do with helping my basement to stay dry I was told it shouldnt matter how I got it. I would never have been in this situation if they didnt try to rip me off from day 1. I will be pursuing this in small claims court.STAY AWAY from them at all cost!!ORIGINAL REVIEW: I absolutely would NOT recommend Healthy basement systems to anyone!! Such a horrible experience.I had Gabriel (salesman) come to my house after numerous episodes of flooding in our basement we were starting to renovate. He did his inspection and I showed him pictures of where the flooding was. He said it was “unusual” but that it would be resolved by installing a French drain/sump pump/water guard. We agreed on a price and set up an appt for the crew to come and install it. Fast forward to a few days later when Nick and the crew come to install it. Nick talked to me and told me he didn’t feel comfortable installing what was recommended because he didn’t think it would fix our issue. But he spoke to his boss (I’m assuming Bill) and he was told to install it anyway. Half way through as Nick was digging he said it was completely dry and again, didn’t think this was going to help us. But again, he was told to finish it.THE JOB SHOULD HAVE BEEN STOPPED HERE!! But they were told by their company to install the system, so they did. Fast forward- over the next week after installation I had my basement flood 3 more times!! 2 of those times various members of the crew had come to my house to inspect, and it was determined that the system that was installed was bone dry. It never caught a single drop of water. It was a completely useless system.I kept sending the company pictures after every flood, showing them pictures of the flooding in the exact same location as before we paid them to fix it. And every time we spoke they had a different idea of what was “definitely” the problem and what would “definitely” fix it. First it was definitely the penetron that would fix it. Then it was a lateral that would definitely fix it. Then it was definitely removing the little piece of cement near the sump pump that would fix it. Then it was the wall space that would definitely fix it. It is evident that this company has no clue what would actually fix my continuous flooding, but they took thousands of dollars from me and promised me a warranty that they now aren’t upholding. They agreed to install a lateral under the warranty, scheduled a crew to come, and then after they got to my house with the supplies BACKED OUT because the owner Bill told the crew not to bother installing it.I have continuously asked for a refund as I need to now pay another company to do the work they agreed to do and were paid to do, but HBS will not refund the thousands I paid them for a problem they failed to fix.Stay away from this company at all costs!
When we bought our house, the crawlspace with ratslab flooded when it rained. There was no moisture barrier and the wood beams had a little mold. It was dark and dirty. Our plumbing and electric were accessible but contractors would come up from there with muddy sandy shoes that damaged our wood floors. Now all that mess is sealed below a bright white waterproof barrier. We have LED lights now near our new pumps. The dehumidifier ensures we have no mold. Our coat closet is the access point for the crawl. Now our coats dont pick up any scent from down there. We are quite pleased with the product and service.
After Healthy Basement Systems encapsulated my crawlspace, I had them come in and install a waterproofing system in my semi-finished basement. They also installed a wall paneling and flooring system that look great and help insulate the basement. The installation team arrived on time, finished the job in 2 days, and left my basement cleaner than it was before installation. Great team of people to work with especially the very helpful Systems Design Specialist Andrew. He was a pleasure talking to and explained every question I asked thoroughly. Definitely recommend this company!!
I installed a Healthy Basements System about 12 years ago. I used to get 4 or 5 inches of water in my basement after every rain. I couldnt even use my basement. I studied options, talked to a contractor, my gardener, my father and thought this seemed the most sound. It was, and it still is. I had a burst pipe 8 years ago and if i didnt have this pump system installed I probably would have lost my house, no kidding. I feel very grateful that it works. They were the only ones who could figure out why I was getting so much water in my basement. They applied logic and solved the problem.
I didn’t think there was any solution to my damp and leak prone room. It is half in ground and had 2 sump pumps improperly installed by another company last fall. I saw a mail brochure from Healthy Basements and made an appointment but was skeptical. I was sure they could fix it but thought it would cost too much. I was so pleasantly surprised!! Their system is without a doubt far superior to all the garbage that was previously installed. The price was reasonable and made their system a necessity!!With the new properly installed drainage system and dump pumps I was able to have them add a quality dehumidifier that drains directly into the sump pumps.The room is constantly and completely dry and I’ll never have to empty a dehumidifier again!!I expected to hear it would take several days - NOPE. Their wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable crew came in and did a huge job in one day- dig our drainage lines, install sump pumps and connect dehumidifier and cement. They had a glitch and knew exactly how to fix it- got more supplies immediately and finished before 5. No additional charge for the unexpected change.If they didn’t have that one problem- I’m sure they would have been done before 3!!I will recommend this company to anyone who needs real help with water or humidity inside.Ultra professional and friendly!!The office people on the phone are just as wonderful. This company provides SERVICE!!I can’t say how happy I am with my new dry family room!!!!!
Very knowledgeable in their area, and very efficient. Did a meeting and inspection of our crawl space to determine what needed to be done all within a little over an hour. Did not try to sell us work that did not need to be done. Will definitely go with them if I need crawls space work done in the future.
The team of guys that did my system installation were amazing. Very professional and courteous. They were on time and walked me through every step of the process even when I asked a thousand questions. I just bought my house in May and inherited a ground water issue that the previous owner was not honest about. The team at HBS was very understanding of my situation.
Well, I just completed my second basement crawl space insulation and encapsulation project with Healthy Basement Systems.Like the first job, on time, courteous, with a focused work effort and completion in the expected time to do the job.The products and its effectiveness are so impressive and do exactly what they say they do. In both houses you had to prepare yourself for the musty smell when you went into the basement. After the work was done you had no idea you went into a basement! And the crawl spaces look as white and clean as a fresh layer of snow!I used Healthy Basement Systems for another interesting project. My chimney was starting to separate and lean away from the house. Even though they are “everything basement,” I figured I would give them a call to see if they could help. Turned out this was right up their ally as well. They dug out around the foundation of the chimney, drove steel pilings down about thirty feet until they had the required pressure then put braces under the chimney foundation on top of the pilings. Not to mention that they hit the water table and built a box around the work and pumped the water out of the hole so they could work! Amazing!I found the office staff incredibly knowledgeable and extremely efficient. Every part of the company was so professional and what I really find amazing is that they are so efficient in these VERY DIFFICULT TIMES. I had my own business, I surely know. I highly recommend Healthy Basement Systems for any of your below grade spaces, you will be very happy.
They are professional, courteous, and aim to please. I’ve had them install crawl space insulation, treat my crawl space for mold, and install a dehumidifier. I would recommend them without a doubt.
Called Healthy Basements in November 2020 to replace 6 basement windows and close off 1 window. Salesmen took pictures and wrote proposal for a Jan 8 install. Salesmen had to come back to take addl pictures on Jan 3 for the production crew. On Jan 7 (1 day before install date) I receive a call that the windows didn’t arrive and they need to reschedule. Windows are made in Nebraska so clearly they knew at least a week prior that they would miss their commitment. HB rescheduled for Jan 26th but was able to move to 22nd. When the crew showed up they clearly had not reviewed the job in advance or looked at the pictures. The foreman had no idea how they were going to close the one window and he expressed concerns about the metal framing around the window. In short, they determined the windows were measured wrong as they didn’t take framing into consideration. They informed us that they could replace 2 windows but would have to charge us more to come back for the rest of the work. I called the office to cancel the work and they returned my deposit.The entire process was a joke considering “basement” is in their company name and they couldn’t replace original 1980’s basement windows. I wouldn’t trust this company to change a lightbulb.
After interning at Healthy Basement Systems this past summer, I was able to witness how completely and truly dedicated the team is to helping their customers. The crew will go out of their way to make sure each job is completed perfectly and beyond expectations. Everyone was a pleasure to work with, and welcomed me with smiles each morning when I entered the office. I know if I ever need basement repairs, HBS will be my first call!

Now after having system for some time its clear what this system is. It doesnt stop water from coming into home it basically creates a mote around the basement so water doesnt end up on basement floor doesnt stop water from entering. We were told the cause of our problem was the pressure of water was causing it to come threw the basement walls and this system would relieve the pressure so no water enters. So untrue water still enters but now runs down walls an into mote they create which I dont even think the water enters there system just goes into rocks and soil on inside of foundation wall beware and consider all options.After just about 12hrs of working in one day the basement still isnt complete. They where suppose to have come on an earlier date to do there spray cleaning which all residents need to leave home for 3hrs which was canceled by them and told it would be done same time as basement system. Problem they didnt finish till 830pm which I told them they are not spaying and kicking us out of our home till 11pm which the guy who was here said this is what management wants. I told him either way its not happening. The problem apparently is the company scheduling management they tried to rush a job in one day with a crew that was too small for project. When company was contacted about this they basically dont say anything. Not an apology not a thank you for giving info on something they should know already about how many people are needed for certain jobs and for how many days not rush a project cause thats when accidents happen like a broken window. They dont seem to care for customer just the doctor line which is the dollar. Need basement work please check all available options not just healthy basement system.
These guys did a pretty good job with the leak in my basement for an afford price. It’s been less than a week but there was no water leaking or pooling in my basement after yesterday’s rain. Their work is guaranteed which is a bonus. They were able to get the work done within a few days of my initial phone call. The only reason that review is not a five star review is because rather than stopping the leak they have a system in which the leak still exists in your wall and immediately drains down and out through your foundation floor. Although this appears to be an effective solution at an affordable price, ideally the leak would be stopped or plugged entirely. Would still recommend
Bill Simone and his employees are absolutely interested in customer service. The advice we received from realties and friends in regards to our crawlspace issues were somewhat erroneous and not entirely accurate. We had brand new construction and due to problems with architectural inconsistencies and mistakes, water began pouring in. As soon as I spoke with the company I was treated with ultimate respect and made a difficult situation profoundly easier and performed their work with professionalism and respect for our home.I cannot accurately describe how pleased we were with their knowledge and work and would recommend them in the highest terms without qualification. Do yourself a favor and call them; you will not be disappointed.
I was given a referral to Healthy Basements as we just moved into a home that had a crawlspace. It is quite large of a crawlspace, with a door to get in and our boiler is in the area. More then 3/4 of the area is dirt and it was slightly moist. Also, the previous owners had termites years ago, probably from the dirt. Between the bugs, dirt and all we went ahead and got an estimate from Ian, who took his time and showed me all that would be done to the crawlspace. We decided to get our crawlspace done the following month. The crew was wonderful! Very polite, very efficient and covered all areas so no dirt or footprints would be in my house. They finished and we are very impressed. Our crawlspace has a height of just under 4 feet so now we also have a large area for storage, that is free of bugs & dirt. We noticed the day after getting it done that the den, where the door is for the crawlspace, was warmer, which we are very pleased with! Dont hesitate, when you have a crawlspace, to get it encapsulated. Im looking forward to no more crickets in the den, a warmer house, free of the moisture in the dirt and an area for storage. Considering our allergies, we should do 100% better in our house now. Thank you Bill Simone!
One year ago, I had this company install new basement windows and a dehumidifier unit. The work done was very professional. The installers were neat and clean and polite. My basement has never been so dry. Most recently, I had an annual cleaning of my unit with new filter. Everything running smoothly. Will use again
Im so happy I chose Healthy Basement Systems. I needed to do some waterproofing prior to my basement renovation. I am so happy with the Job that was done. Steve and his Crew are true professionals. Led by Steve I believe it was Jorge, Jorge and Dave. They were super courteous, very professional and extremely knowledgeable about the products. I was excited to see the work getting done so I spent a lot of time in the basement with them watching the process. Every time I had a question they had an answer. It is apparent to me that these guys are trained thoroughly. Upon Arrival Steve reviewed the Job with me before they touched a thing. He answered all my questions about how the process works and once I was comfortable he set the wheels in motion. Jorge and Jorge got right to work clearing the path for the WaterGuard. when it came time to hang the clean wall they took the time to make sure it was affixed to the wall neatly and straight. They worked around every obstruction like it was no big deal. Dave followed up and made sure there was no part of my foundation exposed, creating a water barrier even better than I had hoped. If anyone I knows ever needs waterproofing I am going to recommend healthy basement systems and I will definitely tell them to ask specifically for Steve and his crew. Top notch sales team and install crew. Let it rain!!!

The office staff was very courteous and helpful. The salesman had vast knowledge of the products and gave an excellent presentation. The crew arrived on time, they too, were courteous and did a good job cleaning up when the job was completed. It was a job well done. I am glad to have the system in place.
Gabriel was very thorough when preparing the estimate for work needed in our basement. He explained all options and made sure we were comfortable with how the system worked, why it’s needed and how it will improve our home. Chris from HBS was very patient with my initial in person and follow up email questions. He explained the reasons for their approach as compared with more conventional methods of dealing with crawlspace moisture.I was given a written proposal after his inspection and consultation.I opted for a crawlspace encapsulation system with dehumidifier.He was present for the installation as well.While it was not a hard sell on his partthere was a bit of pressure to make a decision as I was given 3 days to decide in order to receive the discounted promotional price. I would have preferred longer (a week or 10 days) but this is better than some companies I have dealt with which required a decision that day to obtain a promotional discount. Deducting 1 star for that.The installers were thorough and appear to have done a good job with minimal disruption and cleaned up the work area before leaving.As for the ultimate effectiveness of their approach only time will tell.
We had our basement finished with Bill Simones basement system paneling and flooring system. Before we finished it was cold and damp. The team was very knowledgable and courteous. They answered all my questions and installed everything perfectly in place. The office staff was so nice to deal with and the entire experience with Healthy Basement Systems was very pleasant. I have recommended them to everyone that has a basement and many have used them and feel the same way. For such a high quality and professional team and material the pricing was extremely fair and reasonable. The Team at Healthy Basement Systems from the System Design Specialist (Gabriel) to the Production Foreman (Richard) and Installation Specialists, even the Administrative Assistants (Linda), showed top notch customer service and in depth knowledge/expertise. We just moved into an older home in a major flood zone. Our crawl space was covered in mold, it was damp, and was poorly insulated. After Healthy Basement Systems- were mold-free, fully insulated, and protected from moisture/flooding. I would recommend HBS in a heart beat. They really are experts in this field. They are up to date with the latest technology, and have the science to back their products/designs! Plus, they allow you to really build your own project and prioritize your needs, instead of pushing everything on you only to get you to spend more money. HBS does not come cheap but it is WORTH IT!

I Found that my experience with Chris Melanie from healthy basement systems was quite pleasurable—Which is an odd way to describe an experience with any sales person.. He was 100% professional, well informed, honest, and I learned something to boot! As it turned out, we both agreed on what the next step should be with regard to my basement water situation which indicates that Chris actually listened to what the problem was and worked together with me to come to the best solution for my house.He did not make any money from coming here but he helped me a lot. As a result I have more inclined to buy one of his other products such as the dehumidifier.
I set up them to repair my basement and said they would be their within 10 days and paid 1000.00 deposit on credit card and could not accommodate me on my timeline and had to get Vulcan waterproof to get it done as they could not when I canceled within contract terms FYI and they did not like. And with an attitude after they had my money in their account . I had to call the CC company to explain and then wait after multiple times for them to credit my CC, even still waiting for credit their answer was that account was away at first and then a weekend later saying that they BELIEVE that it would be done BY FRIDAY. I don t BELIEVE Do You?? Thank God I didnt give a check lets see how long it takes for them to Float my Money in their account I wonder how long it would take to get Service if they cannot do a few Keystrokes ? Thoughts?? . I had healthy basement come to clean and insulate the crawlspace. The crawlspace was dirty, had dead mouse and very drafty. The crew of three guys were very diligent and hard working. Linda from reception was very nice and courteous when confirming the appointment. The price wasnt low but when there was an issue, they came back to resolve it quickly. 4 star because they couldnt apply the 5% discount even though I signed on the same day. The 5% coupon said any crawlspace repair, but apparently was told the 5% only applies if the whole crawlspace was encapsulated, not just insulated.

(May 24, 2018)Gabriel is the most above and beyond professional and educated us about our concerns and how his company can eliminate them. I genuinely recommend this company to anyone with basement flooding.(June 15, 2018)Travis and his team provided superior service. They were so phenomenal that my neighbor will be reaching out and requesting ONLY Travis’s team. Travis consistently kept me in the loop throughout the day. The nicest group of gentleman and they ensured that my home was spotless before they left.This is the only company and team I would ever trust.
Although I have been mostly satisfied with the basement system installed, the discharge pipes length was less than agreed upon, and the receptacle the water drains to is undersized. This leads to water backing up and spurting out the freeze opening and running back down the foundation wall, and a big pile of mushy grass and lots of water running back to my home and down the stone paver path. I called healthy basement systems and explained the problem. They requested pictures, which I gladly sent. After a day I called back and was told I would be charged $10 a foot for additional pipe, even though the pipe in place was 6 less than the contract called for. I am very disappointed, especially because I believed I was dealing with a stand up company. I will finish the job correctly myself.
Healthy Basement has allowed for my family to be able to use our basement again! Since we used their services, we no longer have humidity issues. Definitely worth the investment.
Let me caveat that we didn’t have the company do any actual work yet. However, we’ve been dealing with some pretty nasty basement leaks and numerous people / companies had already looked at it but couldn’t pinpoint the issue. HBS, called it right on their first visit and were able to identify the issue. We haven’t paid them anything yet but they’ve already shown tremendous value and helped us move in the right direction with the issues we have. We will definitely have them back for the actual remediation.
Eric - was on time, courteous, extremely knowledgeable and listened. He tried to understand the problem and then talked with us about the appropriate solutions. He didn’t try to pitch us a particular product that we didn’t need.He was a pleasure and I’d recommended him if you need someone to address water in your basement.

We are buying a house and need a foundation expert to assess the foundation cracks. Gabriel from the company arrived on time and were very professional, courteous, and patient. he inspected the house foundation from both outside and inside. He looked around the house and the entire basement, gave us his opinion of the foundation condition. he took a lot of pictures for future analysis. Since his company no longer does this kind of repair, he spent time with another contractor to give me an accurate estimate. Based on his professional opinion, I decide not to buy the house. I felt that his opinion is invaluable. I suggest all home buyers consult a foundation expert like him before signing the contract, because many old houses could have potential foundation problem which is very expensive to fix and could cause a lot of long term headache.

The worst company!! I trust them and sign the contract because they told me the job its done. But the surprise is when I was showing the job to my friend and he went all the way inside to see it! and hi said not even 80 % of the work is finished...... I Pay for the complete crowling space insulation.When I call the contractor IAN SILVERS he says to me you sign the contract thats mean the job is done. If you hire this company just be aware and make sure the job is done by your self.

Overall a good job. Had a dirt crawl space encapsulated. Looks good but a few spots are a little rough. It never looks like the pictures does it. Had the rim joists foamed and the job turned out OK.

Customer service was excellent throughout the entire process including the initial planning/estimates with Frank Felice (where options were discussed and questions answered) as well as scheduling etc. And I could not be happier with Chris Vidal and his crew who completed the installation. My initial experience with Healthy Basement Systems was meeting Frank Filice, a Systems Designer, who came to my home and did a thorough inspection of my crawlspace. He recommended the products that I needed and did NOT try to over sell. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. He made me feel very comfortable working with this company. I asked him if he would get me in contact with a person in the area that used the Healthy Basement System. He provided the phone number of a recent customer who gave the company a good review. Therefore, I decided to move forward with the job. The crew was composed of three members, Carlos, the foreman and two workers, Jose and Nick. They worked very well together. Carlos had a very good working relationship with the crew. The crew did a wonderful job. They were very respectful of my home and upon completion of the job the basement was clean and all garbage was taken away.I would definitely recommend this company.

2022-07-18I cannot say enough good things about this company. Two years ago they installed a powerful dehumidifier in my basement which has made all the difference in the world. Then this year they insulated my crawl space and fixed holes in my foundation. Gabriel, the designer of these two projects, could not be kinder, nor more professional or skilled. The folks that did the crawl space work, headed up by foreman Carlos, were absolutely top notch. The pricing is fair, the products are top quality and the staff is just the best. Kathy in the office is a great communicator and details person. I cant recommend this company enough. I have never written a recommendation on Google before, as that is not my thing, BUT I had too for this firm. I totally recommend Healthy Basement Systems.

2022-08-02The salesperson was detailed in his explanation of the work to be done was pleasant to deal with. The office staff (specifically Cathy) was patient and accommodating. The work team (Carlos, Jason and Jose) were thorough, professional and very pleasant to work with. They apparently are proud of the work they do and were beaming when they showed me the completed work (basement insulation). It was not easy work as they had to crawl through the crawl space but the space is now completely insulated. And they left the basement very clean. I will gladly recommend them.

2022-05-16Okay so I am giving a rating of 5 stars because of the Gabriel, the sales person that inspected and gave us the initial quote AND for the crew that performed the work. Gabriel was extremely thorough, transparent and not pushy, (like most of these businesses tend to be) he made suggestions but did not insist when we declined, he even asked me if he should remove his shoes when he came to the house! Carlos the Foreman and his crew were AMAZING! Super courteous, professional AND clean!!! They walked me through what the day would be like, if I should expect any noise, fumes or unpleasant smells. At the end of the day, he walked me through the work, insisted I inspect it and answered all of my questions patiently. I could not believe that major work had been performed in my house, they cleaned better than I could! Since there was a small portion of the work left undone (not their fault) Carlos went out of his way to reassure me that he would be back as soon as possible to get it done. We did have a hiccup with someone at the office due to the unfinished work, that individual completely screwed up, I wonder if he was even listening to what we were explaining, had the crew come back to our house with the wrong materials and measurements. So I suggest if you’re considering Basementy, be sure to dumb it down when communicating with anyone at the office.Overall, I would recommend this service, it’s quality work at a reasonable rate and the crew is great.

2022-05-12Eric came over to see the extent of the leak I have in my basement. After doing various checks, he recommended that I go with an inexpensive fix rather than the above and beyond treatment that Healthy Basement Systems would perform. This was very impressive. In most cases I feel that I would be pointed towards the expensive fix. If I ever need to have something in my basement fixed, Im giving Eric a call back!

Full basement encapsulation and floor support/leveling was accomplished in just three days time. The amount and quality of work that had been done in that short time is amazing.
