Vegetable sushi and seaweed salad are terrible. The rice in the sushi is mushy and lost the shape of rice. The combination of vegetables creates no flavor of the end product. The seaweed salad is too sweet to enjoy.I love all other vegan stuff prepared in the shop. The sushi is a major letdown. I hope they put their acts together so that we will have more delicious vegan options.
This is a great place to find all of your obscure super healthy items. They have great prepared foods and sandwiches. They have a nice sushi selection, freshly made in front of you. They have bins with every tea, herb and spice and grain you could hope for. Very large selection because it is a large store. Everyone there is very helpful. Its right near Home Goods and Old Navy, so you can get a quick bite instead of going to the the not so great food court or buttered pretzels.
What a GREAT store ! First time there over the July 4th holiday. An hour and a half from my house and totally worth the drive. I am vegan and this store DID NOT let me down. A ton of vegan items to choose from. I especially enjoyed the vegan baked goods they make right in the store. I bought alot things there and definitely will be back.
I went there with my friends on July 11, 2020. This supermarket at the Wilton Mall sells food that is healthy. I like this healthy-food only supermarket. I found out this market at the Wilton Mall has strict rules and regulations, and strict state and federal regulations that you are not allowed to eat in that supermarket due to covid-19, and I learned that lesson when my friend, Nelson who was with me bought potato chips there and ate them and shared them with me, and the manager of the Healthy Living Market came over and told him You cant eat that here. but luckily I didnt buy nothing to eat (or snack) on there. I would like to come here again and buy healthy food that I want, e.g. for lunch or dinner. This Healthy Living Market has a wide selection of healthy food and healthy beverages. The photo here above show its Wilton Mall entrance with its new logo just above it, and the photo below shows its old logo (left), and its new logo (right), and the other photo shows that same entrance leading out into the mall that shows a message about going shopping at that healty food market, and mentions about healthy food that is sold there, just above that same entrance going out into the mall.
Im so happy I found this gem. It was fresh and sweet(thats just how I described the taste). I grew up eating the black part and became my fave part of the tuna and when I migrated here I couldnt find a place that sells tuna that includes the black part. Im so happy that I went to the store today.
Higher Quality/Variety of goods and environment, along with a ready to eat/ To Go section make this place a high quality place to be. I for a long time now have picked up snacks while in town and the varietyand quality of choices always hits the spot and helps to take the edge off of a busy dayAdditional eatures include the fact that this does not use a self check-out section which feels more welcoming versus neighboring stores that do. Especially accommodating towards vegans and vegetarians!
I cant say enough good things about Healthy Living Market.I have been a buyer of natural and organic food and products since around 1996. I have shopped at hundreds of stores in probably 48 states and DC and a few foreign countries.Healthy Living Market is about as pleasant an experience as any of them. Bonus that the store is so neat and clean, and the staff is outstanding every time I interact with them. They have handled the couple of returns with no issues. They have gone out of their way to help me find products.I hope I get to shop their other locations, but since I live here in Saratoga Springs, this is my store. Finally, I have worked for and even managed a couple of natural grocery stores over the decades, so I pay particular attention to a few fine details and Healthy Living passes my sniff test...LOL. Sorry, I have to be honest, I check in places where most shoppers wouldnt know to look and they get it right!Note: they have an excellent variety of vegan products such as the cheese spreads, tofutti cream cheese, etc.
Easily one of the highest quality grocery stores. Very clean. Knowledge and friendly staff. Delicious food that you can see being prepped. Very wide variety of food choices down the isles. Earth conscious company and products. MANY things for people with allergies and intolerances. My wife has a gluten intolerance, and it can be hard finding things for her, let alone of good quality. This store does that with ease
All the employees are super helpful and kind. The bakery is out of this world and has a huge variety of items that accommodate almost any dietary restrictions one might have. The salad bar is the best Ive found anywhere and the hot bar items are extremely fresh and delicious. They have a huge selection of just about everything you could need. It is a little pricey, as are all health food stores, but the quality of service and products make it well worth it! The store is incredibly clean and doesnt feel cramped at all which is very rare in any kind of store. The employees are all very very on top of things and are always happy to help answer any questions you may have or help you find a product with a smile.
I come in every weekend for a smoothie, Americano and snack. The staff at the Cafe are absolutely amazing! They always greet me with a smile and make my order just perfect every time. I won’t go anywhere else. Thank you to the staff! They truly are the foundation of the market and cafe. Keep up the good work!
Healthy Living is a great experience from the moment you first enter the store. Their products are excellent, the food is always delicious, and the employees are more than welcoming. I frequently visit simply for a good lunch in a great environment. There are tables in a separate dining area and picnic tables outside. I highly suggest giving it a shot.
Food is good but a lot of things you can get for much less at a different grocery store. Also, the social distance practices are awful. The lines are halfway to the back of the store, people aren’t staying 6 feet apart and the aisles are congested. Haven’t been back since I walked in and saw that and walked right back out. Disappointing from a company like this.
Love this place! In addition to having whole foods, organic, non gmo options it also has lots of vegan cheese & meat substitute options. My favorite is the bulk food section that has my favorite coffee! Theres a little stand that makes food bowls(grains, protein, veggies), Ive had two & both were delicious. In their deli section there are vegan take away options. All tasty.
Visited this place for the first time yesterday. My fiance and I had no idea it even existed (or that this Mall existed). We are obviously not from around here. This place is amazing and we cant wait to go back to explore more. The prices are outstanding and the people who we interacted with were very helpful and kind. We will be back and recommend!! It is worth the over 30 minute drive. We would rather come here than Honest Weight Coop in Albany.
Healthy Living is an interesting store. I usually dont walk out of here with a full grocery cart, as the prices are steep, but for any organic alternatives and/or waste-free people, Id suggest going here! Even down to the packaging at checkout, the workers will use cardboard boxes of varying sizes that you can carry out.
They have a wonderful variety of things for all diets. Great baked goods and dishes in their hot bar that are made without gluten. My last visit I purchased both garlic and herb cashews and siracha and honey cashews, both are amazing. The cafe area has comfortable seating. The only down side is that it is a little on the pricey side. But no different than other similar markets.
Im giving them four stars because their staff is always friendly and efficient. Otherwise Id give it like a 3.5. The selection of food is great and has gotten better over the years. However some things are just marked too high. Theyre hot meal bar is $9 a pound. Thats a little steep because a pound isnt really all that much depending on what you get. Also, I know its the brand that helps contribute to set the price, but the kimchi is way too expensive for a small jar. Its far, but Id rather go to the Korean market and get a giant tub of it for $5-6. Last thing to critique, the sushi I got last time wasnt good. The shrimp tempura wasnt good at all. The tempura either wasnt made correctly or the sushi was sitting for awhile because it was mushy. I know its supermarket sushi so its not going to be amazing, but tempura should be light and crunchy. Its overall a good store with a lot of different products. Very friendly staff. I will still shop here, but just maybe avoid the prepared stuff.
They have a beautiful variety of products that are hard to come by elsewhere. The employees are superb in their friendliness and willingness to help. The prices can sometimes be better than a “normal “ supermarket for the same product, other times they are much higher. It’s a fun place to shop!
I love Healthy Living! The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I began by frequenting the juice bar because their chai latte is made with REAL chai tea (soo good) and I haven’t been able to find that anywhere else! They have a wide variety of healthy and local foods. I highly recommend!
This is a very unique and wonderful place to find everything you can think of concerning healthy eating and living. The staff was friendly and you can spend hours just looking through all their unique products and trying some of their healthy foods. Definitely check it out!
I do part of my shopping every week at the Healthy Living Cafe. We are not vegetarians, nor do we only eat organic food. Since we can no longer eat as much as we want, we are more conscious of the taste of what we eat. On my first visit I had a latte and gawked at the merchandise--both its variety and its price. The latte was excellent. On my next visit I bought another latte and tried the fresh honey-roasted peanut butter. On my third visit I brought some bakery goods and attended a cooking demonstration. I was hooked. Now I routinely shop at the Healthy Living Market for non-staple items. Their food does taste better than ordinary grocery store and is worth a higher price. By the way, that honey-roasted peanut butter should be labeled addictive.
Ive enjoyed coming here. They have a lot of products that you cant find at other grocery stores, of course that means that there are some things from the local grocery store that cant be found here. Coming here for those hard to find things every now and then is worthwhile and I appreciate their dedication to healthy, local, and bulk foods.
I think they have the worst staff and the place is poorly managed. I went their with my sister, her son and my 2 kids after birthday party. The kids were tired, not hyper at all! Two boys found a wood basket and sat on it. (Which if I saw will not allow) The lady at produce isle yelled at them screaming to get off and go next to their parents, when they did nothing. Her response was after me addressing her why she would scream at a kid was they were sitting on asparagus. I asked her to show me the destroyed asparagus, no response! I found it very unprofessional for her to yell at someone’s kids. I definitely will understand if she came at us and said something or tolled them nicely. Manager did nothing to this matter, so I called to speak to Gm he did not get back to me. It seams like they do Not care about their customers at all. Will not support this business!!!
This place is has something for everyone in the family. Huge variety and really great quality products for health overall. The grocery area and self serve herb and spice bar is terrific, dont miss the deli and delicioussss fresh options being put together in the back of the store! So impressed with the variety for folks with specific dietary needs and goals including a dank bakery with some of the best gluten free dessert spreads Ive come across. The cupcakes and lemon bars are so good! Kambucha galore.. a fun spot where you know youre getting quality and healthful items everytime.
Fantastic lattes and cappuccinos! Great selection of food and drink for the health conscious. I am taking off a star because the customer service desk is awful. They reek of weed, completely stoned and never want to help you. I guess if I was completely stoned, I wouldnt either! I would understand if they were young kids, but these people are around 30 years of age. The butcher department is fantastic as well and plenty of organic everything. Favorite bread from all over Saratoga Springs County is there as well.
I was blown away when I’ve been shopping here and I found half the products cheaper at Walmart. Same organic things like applegate products for 3-4 dollars cheaper with more in the bag. I really like the store but the pricing is ridiculous . I feel like I’ve been scammed I’ve been shopping here for years.
Love this store... As a senior who tries to watch what I eat, Healthy Living offers an excellent section of organic foods at prices I can afford... The store is big enough but small enough that I can get in and out in a reasonable amount of time They have a good number of helpful and friendly employees... Being food aware, it makes me happy to see so many young mothers shopping there..
When I went in this store I was blown away. The prices are out of control - the prices are making the people that work there have to apologize. It is a major rip off totally over priced . No doubt feeding off Saratoga snobby market crowd - go to the market in any other area and you will find the same quality for much less I give this store a 2 because the quality is there but be fair about the prices.
Overall, its okay, some things are very good. However the biggest drawback is that they need to improve their customer service by better training the younger staff. The bakery is great; however getting someone to wait on you at the counter can be a challenge. The people in the back baking saw me but never asked if I needed help; apparently it isnt their job to help at the bakery counter or let someone else know a customer is waiting. Also got grossed out when an employee came from behind the coffee/juicing counter and helped himself to some olives with his bare hands from the olive bar. I have noticed a decline in the quality of their lattes which I no longer buy; again this could be new staff not knowing how to make them properly. Why even 3 stars? Because they have bargains if you look for them and products not found in other places. The staff is very polite. They just to be trained that their primary focus is helping customers so they buy their products; baking and filling shelves should take a back seat to customer service.
Overpriced throughout. My review is specifically for the hot buffet style lunch though. Also overpriced and, in addition, old, cold and dried out even though it was 12:30pm, right in the middle of the prime lunch hour. $20 for two people with somewhat sparse plates and tap water. Did taste ok but was just meh overall due to the extreme lack of freshness.
Healthy Living supermarket is a stunningly beautiful supermarket. It smells delicious, like essential oil. Since I live alone and like to buy quality, fresh prepared foods--chicken salads, slaws and egg salad, I have noticed in the past several weeks a sharp decline in quality. I recently purchased the artisan chicken salad from the deli. I didnt think ask where all my favorites were--curry chicken salad, asian chicken salad, etc. Anyway, the salad was disgusting. Shocked and wondering what heck was in it, I examined the label closely to read the ingredients. The salad was made in a 30,000 sq. foot Pennsylvania factory by someplace called Dons Salads and (kind of) passed off as a Healthy Living salad that was freshly made in their beautiful kitchen. Dons Salads actually had a 2017 food recall for misrepresenting ingredients. I am repulsed and disappointed. Since this has been my primary supermarket since it opened, I have always noticed what seems to be a revolving door for HL employees. Maybe they lost their chef?
Like Whole Foods, but with locally sourced meats, dairy and produce that reflect an intense relationship with the community. Yes, its pricey but with some real bargains lurking. Try the grind-your-own honey roasted peanut butter (in the bulk aisle) and do not fail to browse the bin of cheese samples at the end of the freezer aisle. All the butchers, bakers, cheesemongers are very proud of their work and will be happy to listen to your comments and try to accommodate your requests.
If Whole Foods was started in Vermont, it would look something like this. It took awhile for me to warm up to going to Wilton for groceries, but now I enjoy picking up items there that you wont find anywhere else. How about REAL buttermilk with butterfat in it? They have it. Fresh baguettes from NYC? Oscars Smokehouse products? Rare craft brews from NY/New England? Vermont and Hudson Valley cheeses? Yep, Yep and aYep!
I feel the same way as Mary from Saratoga her review is right on. The people behind the deli counter leave a lot to be desired. There is one particular gross and grubby male whos behind the counter and seems to be stuffing his face all the time no matter what time Im shopping at the store. I find most of the items costly but there are some that I cant do w/o and I pay the price. Otherwise everything is ok.Thank You
We need more places like this! So many people out there with food sensitivities. I went there today clueless and the staff was so helpful. I went to customer service and explained it was my first time there and that i had a gluten issue and they introduced me to staff in each department. They all explained to me what was gluten free in each area. Great experience! I will be back.
I ordered a sandwich in the deli, and told the staff I was deathly allergic to tree nuts, and made to sure to ask that my sandwich did not have the pesto in it, which has tree nuts in it. I ate some of the sandwich, and it DID have pesto in it. I was very lucky that I did not have a serious allergic reaction, since the swelling was only in my mouth (it must not had been ingested). I am sad that I cant count on this store to meet my food allergies.
Love this store tons of healthy products prepared food at the deli vegan and vegaterian products fresh produce, probiotics handmade soaps etc.my only problem a bit expensive, check it out for yourself, you would have to decide if its worth it to you or not its the only place closest to me to get my Lacinato kale from its fresh and organic they have meats also.
This particular Market is wonderful because for someone who lives in Lake George vicinity thats about as far as I want to go certainly better prices than Whole Foods and when Im not up to going to Trader Joes this particular location has everything you would need for Healthy Living fresh organic local and if youre needing any supplements go on Thursday for 20% off
Note: this place is over priced. In fact, I have seen the manager shopping Price Chopper regularly. The ownership and staff put their liberal politics ahead business and costumer service. Women with arm pit hair, cross dressing, women with two last names...hippies...oh my...lol!
You can save 10% by ordering things by the case from customer service. The image of this place says overpriced but that is not the case for many items. Hannaford and PC are right nearby, so if you are willing to do your shopping at two stores and know the sales, Healthy Living can actually save you money. The frozen pizza I like is $2 less here than Hannaford. The bottled teas I like are $1.59 (goes on sale for $1.29) at HL, $1.79 at Hannaford. Their pizza dough is a dollar cheaper than Hannafords, and is way better with better ingredients. When things at HL are on sale, they are significantly cheaper than the other stores. They are even cheaper than Amazon, which is where Id normally order harder to find organic items or vitamins. The key is to stock up on the super cheap sale items, as they may not go on sale for another six months or more. And like I said, you can order by the case at customer service. This store has an extensive bulk section of every staple, spice, tea, etc you can think of. And most of it is organic and priced very low. They even have bulk maple syrup (you can bring your own container or use theirs), honey, olive oil, peanut butter, and other wet bulk. The dry bulk has every type of baking need as well as a lot of snack items. If you are frugal like me and enjoy comparison shopping, you are going to come out ahead by visiting this store. Plus, you are supporting a small business. They only have one other store, in VT. There are many great local products available here as well.
Service was good very prompt and courteous everybodys willing to help the only thing that bothered me is having security follow me around the entire time its happened to me so far twice and Ive been there 4 times so its a little bit nerve-racking other than that Im fine

2022-04-01This place always has really good quality groceries, but I always went to get sandwiches for lunch. Once covid hit they stopped making custom sandwiches, which was upsetting. So I now will only go to get some pastries from time to time. Still a great place to go get a little snack and a coffee whether youre passing through or doing some shopping.

2022-07-16Healthy Living has lots of local produce and organic foods, excellent meat and fish, and a huge selection of bulk foods such as nuts, seeds, flour, rice and syrup. They also sell fresh sushi that is made during the day in store. This is by far our favorite place to shop for food and vitamins.

2022-07-13Very good food, good customer service. I believe they need to organize their food choices better. They need an area designated keto.

2022-02-07I absolutely love this market. The aroma alone makes this a must stop. Produce is always top notch and there prepared meals are delicious too.In their personal health area they always have someone there to answer any questions or make any recommendations

2022-02-18I went in here for prepared food, I filled my plate at the hot food kiosk by the deli, when I went to eat it I discovered in my mouth that the pork was not cooked, I told management and they did refund my money which I spent on the sushi they also have there problem is, I did get pretty sick things happen I get that but food safety is paramount and its lacking on this regard led to a pretty poor over all experience its gonna be a wile before I can try to eat here again after going through this sickness. all the staff I dealt with were genuinely apologetic, professional and helpful

2022-02-20Definitely dont work here! Management doesnt listen to anyone about any issues and prefers to let lazy employees continue to make things harder for others and discipline the hard workers. Jimmy doesnt care, HR doesnt care, definitely a work there for when you need it and leave with a no call no show sine thats the level of respect you get. Cant even respect people who have a funeral to attend. Ah well.

2022-02-11This store has some healthy alternatives that you cant find anywhere else in the state. I want to give it at least 3 stars for that alone. But I have on numerous occasions had awful check out service. 1.) No Self check out so you have to have someone else handle everything your about to eat.2.) Frequently long lines at the register which also make it nearly impossible to walk behind3.) Accidentally grabbed the wrong flavor of a product, realized when I was loading my bags, asked if I could exchange it for the flavor I ment to grab, she replied with a long uhhhhh no. As if I was crazy. Pretty embarrassed and having a long line behind me I just came back later to buy it.4.) Very difficult to find someone for the bakery and the for the salad bars, usually I have to ask someone else and they have to go hunt someone down.5.) Workers get in your way quite often for such a small store I find myself having to circle back because lanes are blocked off . I know theyre just trying to do their job but it still ruins the experience.I will continue to shop here because of the selection. Prices are higher, I wouldnt recommend buying everything here. But they have some interesting healthy alternatives that will have me as a customer for a long time.Favorite purchase : Vegetarian shepherds pie( so much flavor)Least Favorite purchase : The $20 toothpaste I wasnt allowed to return lol. But besides that I honestly havent had a bad purchase .God Bless!

2022-03-04Love the selection of beautiful produce and healthy alternatives. Always clean and everyone that works there is so nice and friendly.
