My review is not with the cardiologist but with the allergists staff. We started with the allergist at his original office before merging with this practice. It seemed to run smoothly at the beginning however after the merger everything went south. First they could not find what my son was allergic to and I had to tell them. Second the doctor recommended he start Immunotherapy shots because his environmental allergies were so bad. We went once a week for the summer but since schedules change I needed to have Saturday appointments (which I set up in August for September through December) they called me every week to cancel the Saturday appointment.... this was the issue, I told the lady that we couldnt come the other days they had because we had prior things scheduled, she gave me an attitude saying yea we all have kids but there is nothing they could do. Then she proceeded to say that I should rearrange my schedule so he could get his shots. Not exactly possible, it may have helped me set a different schedule in August when I first made the appointments. Then we tried to get a refill on his medication and they forgot to call it in and then they were about to call in the wrong prescription. We also requested his medical records which they said takes 1-2 business days and a week later we still do not have his medical records. They are extremely unorganized and have no idea what is going on and SOME of the staff is very very rude. They do have a few nice people but the chaos and stress and negligent care they provide is unacceptable.
I interned at Heart and Health medical summer 2019 and had a great experience. The doctors and staff were always accessible and ready to help the interns to learn. The practice is incredibly well run, and you can tell the staff truly cares about delivering the most efficient and effective patient care.
Dr. Guida is everything one would want in an allergist, plus as a bonus he exudes kindness and humor.Im sorry about removing a star. Its the staff.The office staff is trained to use the computer, but any training concerning expressing a pleasant demeanor, helpfulness, or welcoming has clearly not been done. With some (not all) of the front desk people, making an appointment is an intrusion on their private time. Im old and visit lots of doctors offices, and find this one to be the biggest challenge in signing in, getting an appointment, and anything else which would be a normal request. Training! When I hire an employee, it takes 7 minutes to set out that exuding charm, helpfulness, and speaking clearly is not optional. Cellphone use is forbidden; they can use it on bathroom breaks and lunch breaks. Exceptions can be made for sick kids, car repairs, and so on. No one is supervising new hires.
I have been seeing Dr. Kavesteen for 10 years. He is compassionate, thorough, understanding, and willing to spend time with you. His entire office treats you that way too. It can be very scary having heart problems but when you leave there, you feel comfortable knowing that someone has listened to you and is available to address your concerns. And, he will treat ALL your health concerns. He treated my poison ivy, helped me with sinus infections, etc. I would definitely recommend his office to anyone.
Been with them for years, I see Dr. Kavasteen, and extremely happy, he is calm, professional, and very detailed. The office staff could not be nicer, always a positive attitude, very professional The wait time is within 30 minutes.

Heart & Health in Deer Park treated my Father with the utmost professionalism and respect. Other Heart Specialists that weve been to in the past have treated him like another number. Dr Kavesteen is very personable and really made an effort to educate us all on each aspect of my Fathers Heart Disease. The time he took with us was so valuable to us and I will recommend Doctor Keversteen to anyone who needs a Heart Doctor on Long Island.

Convenient location and professional facility with personable staff & courteous doctors...My issue was the billing...I had a string of tests that was part of my heart check-up that included a stress test, EKG, Doppler echo sonograms, etc...I had this same exam 5+ years ago at the Manhasset Medical Associates where they lumped all those tests into one study and I was only charged my $20 co-pay...Here they charge my insurance individually for each test and so I was charged $140 for my co-pay on the seven tests...Sometimes a convenient location doesnt pay...

2022-02-11The drive-up Covid testing and the ability to make appointments ahead of time has been a lifesaver for my testing requirements at work. The ladies are quick and pleasant, and the results are posted on the portal quickly - no waiting around with actual sick people!

2021-05-23Had my J&J vaccination on April 8. No wait. No problem booking my appointment. Everyone was nice and respectful at the site. The only side effect was fatigue several hours later I went to bed early and felt fine the next morning. So glad to be one and done.

2020-09-08I usually see Dr Reisman but due to Covid, he was doing Telmed. I needed clearance for knee replacement surgery and I saw Dr Gutierrez. He was pleasant and professional and checked off every clearance I needed. In addition, he went over my bloodwork and adjusted medications for me. I would have no problem going back to him. I live in Long Beach and it’s over a half hour drive to Plainview but I have always received good care from Dr Kavesteen, Dr Mary, and the courteous office staff.

2020-08-01The staff and Manager Raenel in the Middle Island office are very professional, efficient, and polite. They go above and beyond to make your telephone calls and in person visits extremely comfortable. Dr Farahmandpour’s brings his expertise to caring for my parents and always up to date in the latest medical conditions.I highly recommend this office and rate it “Excellent”

2020-01-23I am totally pleased with Dr. Guida! He is personable, professional and knowledgeable. He takes time to hear your story before he gives advise and prescribes a solution. This was my third visit to his office and we were able to identify my allergies and problem areas. It took this long to get my problem under control because I had spent months with other doctors with NO results. In addition to Dr. Guida, his staff is friendly. The nurse was a delight. But it doesnt stop there. All three of my visits ran ON TIME and the women running the desk were terrific! Unfortunately my problem may take some time to get fully resolved but I am comforted by the fact that I have found a doctor and staff who will make the process as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
