Weve been taking our pups (Meka & Finn) here for a couple of years. They receive great care when we cannot take them with us. Very friendly and clean facilities. Highly recommended.

I never write reviews, but after reading a couple of very negative reviews, I felt I should write about my experience at Heavenly Kennel. My dog just spent 6 days there. He was very well taken care of. He ate all his food and was given his joint supplement as I requested. He went on short walks, again as I requested and loved going out in the play area. The place was clean and did not smell like POO.He came home very happy and clean! No diarrhea and no vomiting. He absolutely loved Barry and you could tell that Barry loved him too. I will not hesitate to take him there again. In fact he will be staying there for 10 days while Im away in July. Thanks Dawn and especially Barry! Great kennel.

The owner, Dawn, is clearly knowledgeable about dogs and loves working with them. My golden doodle stayed with her for 2 nights. Im an active dog parent and loved getting a few photo texts each day showing what my dog was doing (out for a walk, outdoor time, etc). She had no problem giving my dog his 2x daily allergy medicine. There are scheduled pick up/drop off times, but Dawn was flexible and allowed us to pick up the dog while traveling through her area. Its a bit of a drive to get to, but its actually a beautiful drive and we would use this kennel again.

A friend of ours have a beautiful and kind pup that had a recent stay here. After his stay, he now flinches anytime a hand is raised and cowers and turns his head like hes going to be hit. This is so beyond unacceptable, that its IMPERATIVE that other people are aware of the abuse occurring here.

Let me just start by saying that we have used Heavenly Kennel for the almost 4 years Ham has been with us. We felt very comfortable with the kennel at first, but the past few times we left him there, things just did not sit right for us. Ham is a very anxious and scared dog. Despite being a pit bull, hes a big baby. I dont think its right to accuse this business of neglect outright, and we can only speak from our experiences. This is just a short description of what happend the last time we boarded him this past week. He is very reactive to Kevins raising his hands or feet at him. He is very scared. What this may mean, I have no idea. But I can say that the kennel was instructed to dose medication via a letter included with his meds. We showed up with a full bottle of 30 apoquel allergy pills, which were to be given as one pill in the morning and half of one at dinner. We were gone for 10 days. The entire bottle was gone when we picked him up. Which means he was dosed wrong while at the kennel. Thats dangerous in and of itself. We also informed them several times that he cant be left with his harness on because he chews it off. His harness was ruined. The medication hes on is extremely expensive and the harness cost us $50 to replace. Hes had diarrhea since hes been home and most of his food wasnt eaten. We were promised daily updates and had to text to get them. No pictures were ever sent.I cant speak for the weird behavior that Ham is displaying, but I can say that our instructions were overlooked and I just wish that I felt comfortable enough to recommend others use this facility, but I dont. Our dogs are like our children. To see them scared or in discomfort hurts my heart. Perhaps Dawn should keep an eye open to what is happening when shes not there.

I honestly don’t understand how this kennel has such good reviews on Google. Do yourself a favor and read the Yelp and BBB reviews, the commonalities are all too horrifying. We have had our dogs boarded and watched in our own home while we have gone on MANY trips through out the years and never have they come back in the state they are now. They claim to take them out every 2 hours, and refresh their food and water. This is all a LIE! Our 2 dogs both came back malnourished and dehydrated after 8 days with constant vommiting, bloody diarrhea and odd bloody sores on their rumps. The food I sent them with was barely touched and the bag weighed nearly the same as what I dropped them off with, proving they didn’t “refresh” or even attempt to feed them. They claimed our dog developed diarrhea 30 mins before I got there and they were both covered and smelling of feces, ore like days worth of sitting in feces.(Others were told the same lies). The guy that was there claimed he tried to call me and tried to have Dawn call me but they didn’t have my number, this was a lie because the paper i left with my number, my wife’s number and our neighbors number was still on the bag with the dog toys when I picked them up! When I picked the dogs up they were not in the same kennel they were initially introduced to. I should have seen the writing on the walls when I was told they didn’t require vaccinations, although our dogs are fully up to date so I didn’t worry. Dawn seems as though she cares for animals when you talk to her or meet her in person but I’m afraid that’s all a disguise. I thought I would try this place instead of our typical vet for borading because of the great reviews on Google, the claims they make and bargain price but I feel disgusted in myself for sending our beloved pets to this Hell. Please do yourself a favor are AVOID Heavenly (Hellish) Kennel for your pets health and your own piece of mind, you I’ll regret it if you take your pet there. This business needs to be severely investigated by the local municipality or SPCA. No pets life is worth saving a few dollars.

We had to kennel our new puppies and Dawn was more than gracious. She is great about sending pictures of them throughout the day and the location is very nice. Lots of room to play! Will definitely keep them on my short list for dog sitting in the future

After a lengthy, informative phone conversation, I was feeling pretty good about leaving our dog there for the first time. The owner, Dawn, stated the dogs are taken outside every 2 hours, which I thought was amazing. The price was very reasonable, and the location wasn’t too far from our house. The online website pictures looked great. The only things that seemed odd to me were that Dawn said no vaccinations were required as the dogs wouldn’t interact, and that she didn’t encourage us to visit first with our dog. She stated it would take the dog 2-3 times seeing them to remember them. But it would have only taken me one visit to realize this place wasn’t for us.We pulled in to their house with backyard kennel and was greeted by a man who didn’t introduce himself even after we introduced ourselves. I thought he was Dawn’s husband, but he seemed angry when I mentioned that as he said he was her brother. Dawn didn’t come out of the house, but waved as she walked in the house. The kennel reeked of dog poo & urine. I tried to talk to the man about our dog’s food and treats, but he just wanted to take the dog outside so we could leave. That was fine, but I would have liked to tell someone about our dog.So we left and I had a bad feeling in my gut. I shouldn’t have left my dog there, but did.Dawn told me I would get pictures and videos from the week our dog was there, but only got 1 picture late in the week. When we went to pick up our dog, the place was even more disgusting. A woman came out who I guessed was Dawn and said our dog had diarrhea that morning and her bed was covered in it. So we left that there to be thrown away. Our dog looked fine and was happy to see us, but she smelled so bad!! We couldn’t bring her in the house before giving her a bath, and before washing all her toys. There is no way she laid in the diarrhea, especially if it was just that morning. She would have stayed far away from it. If it was all over the room she was in for an extended period of time without being cleaned up, then maybe she had no choice. Our dog kept having diarrhea for the next few days at home, outside. I took her to the vet and was told maybe she ate something outside...hopefully it wasn’t another dog’s poo. Even though the dogs didn’t interact, they walked and peed/pooed in the same place.Overall, the place was unsanitary and filthy. The owners were not personable, nor honest, in my opinion. I don’t believe that the dogs are taken out every 2 hours, but how would an owner know? I think our dog was sitting in her own poo for a long, sad time. It was very disappointing and unnerving. Although I shouldn’t have left my dog there, they shouldn’t be running such a disgusting “kennel.”We will never go there again, or refer anyone there.

We are new to the area and have used Heavenly Kennel several times for our elderly dog. Its a clean facility inside and out, our dog is well cared for and most importantly comes home very happy.

My dogs come home so much more relaxed than from our old kennel. I Truly feel that I can relax when my doggies are with Dawn. = )
