Dec. 24, I called for battery boost as it got discharged. This one star is for road service! Since I cant press on road service in my car as battery is dead, I tried to contact the number of Helms that does services to my car.A Sype screen always shows up instead when I click the number to call.However, a chat window appeared, and I gave Amy my cell phone # and email. She said theyll contact road service and they will contact me. Nobody contacted me or came.A good neighbor helped me instead because the service never came.Again, the one star is for the incident.Helms Bros. Service has always been great!
I brought my first vehicle here and everybody that I interacted with here made the process easy, smooth and informative. I haven’t been to one place apart from helms bros which did it the same way. Every other place has been very unpleasant and unprofessional. Every other place questions why I’m getting the selected vehicle or they try to convince me to get something else. Other car dealers are also very rude and can be smart mouthed for no good reason. I hope helms bros never change cause I look to get another vehicle here.
Bought in my vehicle for a recall concern, my advisor was Jackie Wong, easy going guy. He had prepped me bout the vehicle might not finish in one day, and I made early arrangements for alternative. Kept his promise and had the vehicle back for me the following morning ready as promised. Things happens he kept me inform as soon as I got there. Good guy!!
Thank you to the service manager Richard and Angelo for being patient with me and making my service experience as swift and easy as possible. ive been to two other service locations and this one has been the easiest for me. they did body work on my car and it looked amazing! they always wash my car inside and out for free even when i dont even ask. i must admit i had a few moments of panic during the process of getting my car fixed but i really appreciate rich remaining professional and helpful the entire time. Very accommodating waiting space and great service agents. i sometimes would have challenges with the reception ladies over the phone, which is why i put 4 stars instead of one. but other than that a great clean profesional easy location for all your service needs.
Id like to say I had great service here but unfortunately I did not. Lounge is nice. Water. Coffee. However, long turnaround times for repairs; shuttles offered that never showed up; they tried charge me higher incorrect price; and wanted to charge me $450 to keep a part in my vehicle they just replaced which I needed for a refund. Not recommended.
Always a pleasure going here. Best staff and management, Rich is amazingly helpful, kind, and caring of ur needs. Video of ur car before service texted to u is a nice extra. Shows u the problem so no unnecessary work is done. Clean, well stocked cafe. Just a great place for ur car.
I brought my 2018 gls in for service. My service advisor Jackie Wong was attentive and knowledgeable. He kept in touch with me throughout the day as I was at work. When I came to pick up my truck it was ready when promised, cleaned and Jackie had me in and out. Definitely red carpet /white glove service. I highly recommend Helms Bros Service and my service advisor Jackie
Good afternoon, if I could give this location a zero I would. Im honestly appalled with the customer service they provide being that they are a big branch and youre paying for their services. So my husband was there to service his car about two days ago he made an appointment to get services when he got there he was told they were keeping the car until 4 pm which normally you would be told that in advance because no one comes in to service their car and waits around for 8 hours specially not for a simple car service that absurd. The employee who was overlooking and handling everything was Daniel Rhee #1636. So my husband texted the person who was servicing the car and he was told that the car should be done by 4 then HE had to reached out the the person who was giving him updates on his vehicle at 3:30 he told him to be on his way & FAILED to mention that they close at 4 pm and this is where it gets a little more aggravating because first YOU are the one servicing the car YOU should be keeping your clients updated if you close at 4 YOU should be telling your client to be on their way at 3pm to be on the safe side not wait for the customer to be on their way then the customer to show up and theres no one in the shop thats just common sense and from the look of it thats something this place lacks. So my husband arrives there and there is some lady at a service desk that told him she cant do anything because the mechanics keep the keys and theres no way she can charge him. Mind you this entire time the person that was keeping him posted on the status of the vehicle never texted him to let him know that hes leaving at 4pm. My husband comes in the next morning and the customer service he received honestly just writing this review is making me angry all over again because this office is RACIST they lack common sense and theyre just rude and have no customer service. My husband asks why he was not told they closed at 4pm the day prior the employee goes ahead & responds you shouldve asked FROM MY KNOWLEDGE THATS SOMETHING HE SHOULDVE MADE HIM AWARE OF NOT SOMETHING HE NEEDED TO ASK . My husband was frustrated from the run around because now no one was doing anything, no one took an initiative to check him out he asked to be given his car keys one of the employees went ahead and told another employee to put a car in front of his car .... Im baffled so you think because hes african american hes gonna run in the shop take his own keys and drive off with his car .... he was discriminated and I honestly wish I wouldve been there because Im going to make sure to report this incident to corporate and report everyone who was there the day of this incident to management . I will make sure EVERYONE knows about this incident and I will make sure to never give my money to this place ever again you would think that because we are in a middle of a crisis people would be thankful that they still have customers that need their services AND THEY ARE THE REASON WHY THEY STILL ARE EMPLOYED IN THE MIDDLE OF A STATE SHUTDOWN.
My car had gotten a safety recall notice & so I brought it here to get it checked out. Overall the place is nice and neat, the people who work here are nice. But In terms of timing, It’s horrible. I left my car here at 9am which was the time of my appointment and went to work. When I came back 4:30 it still was not ready & I had to pick up my mom later. I expressed my concern & I said I had left my car here for so long and why it wasn’t ready. Don’t bother leaving your car here because chances are they won’t work on it until you come back and actually need it. Lazy!
We are extremely pleased with the customer service and quality of worksmanship at the Helms Brothers Service Center. Jackie Wong is always a tremendous help to us and accommodates our last minute needs as best he can. I know I can always count on them to get either of our cars back as quickly as possible. My family has always been loyal to Mecedes for decades, but today Id like to share my experience with this amazing service adviser Sean. In the past, he helped my mother with her car trouble and I thought he was fair and fast but thorough. Always do more than enough to provide the best service, so Igor my new car service I chose him to take care of. There was some sort of misunderstanding and slight mistake, but I had Sean to save my day and he was amazing. He pulled anyway possible to help me. All staffs are really nice especially Sean service adviser. I hope other people would have the same experience as I had.
Really bad experience with them. Went to get my GLS 450 serviced a few days ago. They just seem like a cash and grab.Went in for an A They told me both of my tires have nails and them and I should get them serviced right away. I asked them how are all of my breaks and Jackie, my rep, told me there were in excellent condition. I felt that they were a bit weak or not as efficient in breaking anymore. I paid for an A service and expected them to fully check my car and tell me any issues.I went to my trusted mechanic and another local mechanic. Both checked my tires and told me there are no nails in them and that my breaks are totally worn down. Im not sure what the reps at Helms bro are doing. They cant properly tell me what the issue is and they lied to me about my tires just to have me get new tires. I checked the documentation and it seems like it mentions that my breaks are worn down but jackie didnt know what he was talking about and just told me they were good. This is a huge issue as I could get into an accidentally and get badly hurt. Also lying about the tires is just morally wrong. I bought a benz in order to receive a luxury car and luxury support but seems like the support is subpar to other repair shops/service centers or mechanics. Lying just to make a few bucks off a tire? Damn, the audacity of these people. Would never recommend going to them. I had bought my car from Helms bro but will probably go to the rockville center support center now.
I had problem with my GL550. I saw Jack Liparoto. He advised me I need new tires. Gave me the best deal, best tires, best professional installation. My problem went away. Now I have a very smooth and comfortable ride. Thank you Jack. You are very knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
Take Your Car Somewhere ElseI took my car to be serviced at Helms Bros Mercedes, in Bayside.The car was washed and waxed prior to service drop off. I went topick up the car and noticed small white marks, on drivers sidedoor. I immediately spoke to Angelo, my service representativeand, asked him what happened. He stated it looked like cement. Itold him it was not there when I brought the car in. I am verymeticulous about the care and appearance of the car. I asked himif the car had been off the grounds, he said no. I left annoyed. As Iwas leaving the parking lot, I noticed a man doing cement work,with a wheelbarrow. I called Angelo and explained to him thatcement work was being done on their premise. He told me he wasnot aware and would look at it later. He further stated there wasnothing more he could do for my car. I normally take my car to beserviced at Mercedes in Rosalyn. Were it not for COVID andtraveling, I would have gone to Mercedes in Long Island. This wasmy first and last experience with Helms Bros. I will take my car toRosalyn in the future, where they show concern for their customers.
I started with a leasing broker but eventually was referred to Suzanne the district manager, she was extremely helpful and made me feel for the first time in my life like I wasnt being manipulated or tricked into contracts with hidden fees or APRs upped by a few percent. It was a great experience. I was treated with respect and the staff at Helms was kind and knowledgeable and made it a point to make sure I was fully prepared to drive off understanding my new vehicle.I love my new S-Class Coupe, they had it shipped to NYC within days of me giving the color combo I wanted and included the tire and wheel policy.I purchased my vehicle on 3/31/16.
My car had white smoke blowing from the exhaust i had it towed to the service department, i was helped by Danny Rhee, he proceeded to ask what happened and without even checking the car said it was the oil filter because i had my service done elsewhere. After 3 days of diagnosing the vehicle he calls me and says i need a NEW ENGINE! due to little metal particles found in the filter and that the total amount to pay was around 15k!! and the warranty wouldnt cover it, i told him i would pick up the car and not to do anything to it, as i found this suspicious i went picked up the car and had it towed that same day to Silver star Mercedes in northern Blvd , after only 2 days they diagnosed the vehicle it turned out to be a defective coolant system they fixed it and had a new oil change done, now my vehicle is like new !!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND HELMS BROS THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!!!! all my family used to buy vehicles from them , definitely they lost customers and SILVER STAR gain our trust!.
Mr. Carmine Gonzalez has been assisting me for at least 4 years. He is the best service advisor one can ask for. He is one of the reasons why I am still loyal to Helms bro. Everyone seems to be very professional but Im not sure they can out do Carmine. I love that service department! Its kids and pets friendly. You guys rock!
Probally my 2nd worst experience with HelmsThis is the last time I go here or buy anything. They took my vehicle in for service and it came back with damage on my vehicle. They said they will take care of it. Once I got my vehicle back i stated there still is damage on my vehicle and they started oh we couldnt see in the pictures we took if there was damage or not so we are not going to fix it. So they only fixed half the damage and left the other alone. I sit in my vehicle and start the car after its been serviced. First thing that pops up check engine light I couldnt believe it I walked back in they checked out the vehicle and I got it back 3 hours later. They stated oh something under the engine was unplugged. I finally leave the service center and first thing that pops up now is the service light. They couldnt even reset the service sign and I had to figure it out one. I wi not be returning to this service center. I was contacted by helms asking how my service was and I told them my experience. They said a manager would be contacting me. Yet I havent heard from anybody.
Not good attitude and no respect to previous customer! I called tire department this morning ask about the tire change. I think they did not do their job well because its their responsibility to answer the tire problem not just to transfer me to sales department. if you dont know the tire how could you work as a tire technique I wonder ? Really disappointed about this.Seems not very patient at all.
Roadside assistance arrived and jump start my battery and suggested I take car to Helms Brother Mercedes since that was the nearest location and not to turn off car... and have the battery replaced since the battery was fairly new.. well low and be told I arrived at location at 20 minutes before closing and the service advisor informed me all the technicians were gone. So I explained to him that I was redirected here from roadside assistance and he asked me where I usually have my car serviced.. wait Im confused because Im here now what difference would that make.. now Im appalled..he suggested that the I come back in the morning when techs were back.. In the meantime again I explained that the battery was purchased in 01/2017 can I have the battery replaced and the service advisor asked me did I have the receipt.. I explained to him that when I purchased the car the battery was already in the car.. He suggested I contact the dealer to see if they still had the Mercedes receipt... seriously the battery clearly reads Mercedes Benz.. now Im really confused.. Why in the world would Mercedes not take back their own Product!!!! CONFUSED!!!
My family and I have purchased few vehicles from Helm Bros throughout the years. When I took my car for servicing today, the service department has refused the service and advised me to go to a different dealerships. The reason I was asked to leave was caused by an Online Survey which I have given the associate a bad score. Does this mean whenever a client gives a bad survey score, the dealership will turn down their future services?! Does this mean, my other cars cannot get serviced due to the survey score?! The survey supposed to be a system to improve client experiences not to punish the client for their honest feedback!!!!!
I had recently leased a Volvo XC90 from Volvo of queens which is a subsidiary of Helms Brothers, and is fairly a new dealership for VOLVO. Keeping in mind, the dealership is new my transaction didnt go as smooth as expected as the Volvo showroom manager is a bit uptight and someone with an attitude ( something you dont expect at a premium dealership). The sales consultant on the other hand Mr. Mark Crosthwaite was a true gentleman, someone who had kept all the paperwork in order and the car ready for delivery as promised. Kept in touch with me even though I was on vacation and kept me informed about the status.After the delivery I was shocked to see the vehicle did not have apple car-play, and I was asked to pay 600-700 dollars extra for that to be installed. I tried talking to the Volvo Manager and he was outright declining to install it. I was not very happy with his demeanor and finally called Ms. Suzanne Cochrane who is the general manager for Helms Brothers.I was fascinated by her approach and her sense of commitment towards customers. She got me an appointment the same day with the service department and had the software installed and during my visit she never failed to impress me by her approach towards a customer. In fact, I am very inclined to lease a Mercedes from her shortly once my BMW lease is over.Long story short guys, if you need anything at Helms Brothers, Ms. Suzanne Cochrane is the goto person. I am very sure that she would change your mind to get a car from them and make the transaction a very smooth one.Thanks again Ms. Suzanne, these 5 stars are for your services. Appreciate doing business with you.
The so-called express service isnt. Unprepared for their customers, you can expect them to ask for all of the information you previously provided again and then force you to wait for a service advisor. If you thought you could schedule in advance, provide all the information and have them be ready for you, think again.
Horrible service experience.Went for a wheel rim replacement that took almost three hours. When I inquired the status after waiting 2 hours I was told its done, waiting wash and cleaning. 30 minutes later when I expressed concern that I might be late to pick up my son from daycare, I was told its still not done. I saw a car parked right outside for 15 minutes and thought of checking it out. It was my car waiting for 15-20 minutes and no one to bother telling me that its done. It took them 3 hours for a job that could have been done in less than an hour. Plus extremely poor communication
Worst Service ever drove for 2 hours to themTold them I’ll be there by 6:00 -6:10 they said ok no problem I was there exactly at 6:00 they closed the gate and told Me no one is here you have to come back.. Never ever I will take my car to them or have any business.. Very Unprofessional
Very on professional, order parts to pick up after got there tell me no VIN can’t get the part and lies to me saying already email me no to pick up which I never received anything, so I tell him to cancel and refund and send me email to confirm cancel and I received email in a second. Never going to this place again.
Entered address 171-10 Station Road Bayside NY. As I left home Google Maps told me to turn R at the end of my road (wrong). I turned L and got on highway. Exited on Clearview Expressway. G.Maps took me past station road to 39 avenue. Turned me left on 39 and said my destination was on the R. Helms Brothers is on the L and there is a solid wall on which the LIRR runs. Even if I can levitate this 2 tons car can’t. I had to circle through several lights to get back to Utopia and find my way to Helms no thanks to GMaps. Not good. I was late for my appointment. Not the first time I have been sent in the wrong direction.
Polite, efficient and knowledgeable staff, excellent facilities - the entrance is a little challenging to find, wish Google maps et al had their coordinates.Note: this is NOT the correct GPS address for Helms Brothers Mercedes service. The correct GPS address is 4001 172 nd Flushing NY 11358.This is NOT very visible from the road, the entrance is recessed in the back of a Toyota dealership entrance.
My experience with sales consultant Michael Nekava was excellent !!!Christian Morgan was also very helpful , patient ,and kind until I decided which vehicle to purchase.If you are in the market for a new Mercedes Benz ask to meet with Michael Nekava. He will give you Five star service with knowledge and integrity.
DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE FOR SERVICE! THIS IS THE ONLY MERCEDES BENZ DEALERSHIP THAT DONT GIVE THE CAR WASH TO MERCEDES BENZ CUSTOMERS!! I dont know whats the problem cause theres barely no customers there! They said that Mr.Callahan made the decision to NOT GIVE WASHES ANYMORE! I do not recommend anybody to come here its bullshit!!! You have a big staff & you cant do that! Give me a break!!!
Took the c300 to Helms for schedule service and was told that the Transmission Gasket was leaking and it would costs approx. $1800 to fix. I then took the car to my neighborhood mechanic for a second opinion. He showed me the leak was actually coming from the oil pan. He tightened the bolts on the oil pan, cleaned the oil sweating and charged $40.00. Problem solved.
I spent $2000.00 to change fuel pump, rear fuse box and S.A.M.on 2007 ml350. Picked up car tailgate, seat not working, start car next day and fuel start gushing out. Danny Rhee dont let this guy work on your car he will RIP you off. Gave me a estimate of $16000.00 for some other stuff including over $500 to change main battery

2022-01-14I come here to service my E-class and I recently got a Gle suv for my wife and kids , I brought the car to get looked at and go over something’s , my service adviser Evangelos Tsourapis went above and beyond like always ! Service was done in like 3 days and came back to see the car clean and ready to go ! Thanks 🙏

2022-01-11The website advertises a no appointment needed 60 minute express service. This includes A service in addition to a host of other standard services. It notes 90 minutes for B service, which is what I brought mine in for. Initially I was told it would take 2-3 hours. I let my service manager, Alan, know that is not what was advertised. I will give Alan credit for getting my vehicle through reasonably quickly. So kudos for Alan for caring enough. All of this said, I would recommend making an appointment if you are on a tighter timeline.

2021-08-11I have been trying to get my car serviced for 2 weeks !! the back and forth between my extended warranty service and my Mercedes service representative has,been endless leaving me without my car repaired..one blamesthe other and meanwhile l am without transportation that l need to get to work. and on top of it l cant get straight answers. totally disgusted at this point ..both might have just lost a client
