I have been seeing Dr Pasch for over 10 years. I began when I lived in the city. Today I travelled over a hundred miles for him to do a denture and extractions. I would have traveled over 200 more if I needed to. He and his staff are that good. Expertise, state of the art services and warm and carring staff. I am lucky I had found him.
I cannot say enough! Atmosphere, chair-side manner, professionalism, aftercare all excellent! I would not recommend another dentist to family and friends. Dr Yam totally changed my fear of dentists
That was robbery!I had really good detail insurance and never needed to pay any thing. One day I walked in Herald Square Dental, they gave me a new dentist and charged me $77.40.And when I called the office, they just keep transferring me to the next person.

I came here about 12yrs ago and I was happy with the work this time am Not happy. I got my mouth done march 24,2022 and I went Back 5 Times and still unhappy my teeth are Not flawless like 12yrs ago. I Look at the teeth not done with perfection. Am Very unhappy and I dont have the Funds to get my mouth done over at this time.
The implants have been great. The work Dr Alfred Shirzadnia did was fast, not painful, and has improved my life. I am very very satisfied.

Great dentist and great hygienists and staff - I’ve had some bad experiences with other dentists and always dreaded getting my teeth cleaned especially but not since I started here. Paola was always great and now that’s she’s gone I was afraid to atartw it’s someone new but Laura did an excellent job dealing with my fears and cleaning my teeth - she wa great, very thorough and gentle, no pain and she was very firm about what I need to do to take care of my teeth! Great experience.

I have gone there for regular dental appointments (checkups, cleanings) starting in 2015. (Had to leave for a bit for insurance reasons but very happy to go back this year.) I would highly recommend Dr. Yam, and the other staff members are very friendly. And their teeth cleaning is very thorough, nothing like the 5 to 8 minutes you get at most dentists! The office is very clean and they have lights with images of nature in them (not sure what they are called, but if you look up at them during treatment, its very soothing).
The process of implant was longer and a bit more expensive than originally quoted or expected, but the final product is beautiful. I appreciate been able to use all my mouth to eat.
One of the best dentists I’ve ever had! Sharing the spot with my childhood dentist that I went to for over 10 years. I’ve been going to to this office for about 3.5 years now, and I haven’t had a bad experience there. Everyone is so kind and friendly, and it’s always in and out without feeling rushed which is great! Some of the most understanding and generous ladies work at the front desk, and their kindness is unforgettable. Dr. Yam is very thorough and provides a calm and comforting atmosphere throughout the whole checkup. I recommend to all of my friends and coworkers to go to this dentist, and I recommend all of you reading this to do so too!
Initially went to Herald Sq Dental center because of good reviews and now adding my own. Professional and friendly staff was so helpful and accommodating despite of the pandemic limitation. My mother needed multiple appointments during a several month span and never waited more than 10 minutes to see her doctor. You will never miss an appointment or be confused about services and charges; either in person or over the phone, the staff will take time to answer your questions. Highly recommend this place! And Dr. Shirzadnia is fantastic!
Everyone at Herald Square dentist is awesome. The hygienist, dentists, and their assistants, as well as the front desk staff are all very patient. They are happy to explain and re-explain if there is something you dont understand or is unclear. They are Cooperative, Pleasant, and always Eager to help.
Dr. Ian Pasch is outstanding - my mother who is 95 was treated as a whole person with explanations and care. We did not think such professional work could be completed in one day but it was. This is the advantage of having the lab on site and dentists who care to inspect the work. Thank You.

I love this dentist office. The ladies who run the front desk are kind, helpful and flexible. They’re always smiling and always ready to accommodate.My hygienist Alicia is an absolute pro. She’s sweet and great at her job! Always has good advice and clearly cares about her patients.The dentists I’ve seen are complete professionals. And have executed my major dental work with care and attention. Even the X-ray techs (if that’s a thing) keep your comfort as a priority.I highly recommend this office especially if you’ve had bad experiences with dentists before!! I cannot express my thanks enough for the services rendered at Herald Square Dental by Dr. Yam. In what takes some dentists weeks to complete, I walked out of there with my smile back. My only regret is that I didn’t come here sooner. If you’re in need of implants, a bridge, or “any” apparatus, don’t look any further and run, don’t walk here. Dr. Yam will hook you up!
This is a great dental office! It is very convenient for me and I love that I can fit in my dental appointment during my lunch break. I have been a patient here for a few years now and I really appreciate the effort the doctors and staff are putting into their work every day. They truly care. Both of their hygienists are amazingly proficient and attentive, I love the spa feel they are going for! It is very relaxing and honestly it feels like a spa visit instead of a dentist visit. I have also seen Dr Shirzadnia and Dr Yam for a dental implant restoration and couple of crowns. They were very patient and detail oriented, and I’m really happy how they restored my missing tooth. The crowns fir and look perfect!I used my insurance for the implant and their insurance knowledge really impressed me, they calculated the insurance benefit and my copay exactly to the cent.
This is only my 2nd visit with this office and I have to say, so far, I’m very happy - they’re very a attentive And they seem like they run a tight ship. I will be making them my new go to place for all of my dental needs
After a long period of evading the dentist and losing teeth, I finally nerved myself up to go to Herald Square Dental, mainly because it was near my workplace. I got the full treatment ending in a number of implants, and I cant say how glad I am. Everyone was completely transparent about the treatment plan, how long it would take, and how much it would cost, and the staff, especially Dr. Shirzadnia. was unfailingly courteous, kind, competent, and even sometimes funny. Im very happy with the results too!

Dr. Yam has been a wonderful dentist who I have been seeing for over a decade and I must say he is one of the most honest and kindest dentists Ive ever known. He takes care of all his patients and goes over everything with detail. Hes not there to scam you out of money for extra unnecessary procedures which is whats great about him. Ive had dental implants done by him as well and they are still strong after almost a decade thanks to him. I highly recommend him if your looking for a genuine dentist. You wont regret it.
As long as Harlem Square Dental is in New York City I will never go to another dentist. They are the best. I started out with Dr. Pasch almost 15 years ago. My mouth was a mess. I needed root canals, extractions, crowns, and Demtures. I’m not ready to invest in implants but when I am ready I would only go the Herald Square—no where else! Never a moments pain. Everyone is so kind. Now that all the major work is done I see Dr. Yam. Who is wonderful too. I never feel anything. Not even the Novocain needle. They really know what they’re doing and they understand people who have a serious fear of dental procedures. I had a crippling fear. I was so phobic that for many years I went to a special Doctor who actually uses general anesthesia for minor dental work. I got older, I felt it was really silly to take that risk going under just to get a filling done or a tooth pulled. Herald Square Dental was the answer! I never feel anxious when I am there. As soon as I have a dental problem I call and I go right away because I no longer have any fear. Thank you Dr. Yam, thank you to the whole team at Herald Square! They always handle all the papers for insurance too!

Having suffered dental problems and many loose teeth most of my life, I had many extractions, surgeries, and procedures.Being a publicist and a photographer I am constantly out in the public and especially mindful of how I look and, most important, that I have a pretty smile. Once you start losing teeth you can get bridges or implants or dentures.When I first went to HERALD SQUARE DENTAL and met for a consultation with Dr Ian Pasch I knew I had struck gold. Once you have confidence in a dental practitioner you can proceed with the work that needs to be done. He put all my fears to rest.I had gotten my first denture over 15 years ago. Then about 6 years ago I was to lose the teeth on the bottom and I had to get a denture. I was fascinated by the fact that I knew I was going to go to the Dental office in the morning and by the time I got home that night I would have a new denture in my mouth.Having been to many dentists and surgeons - I do believe Dr. Pasch is the best denture surgeon in the country and HERALD SQUARE DENTAL AND THE DENTURE CENTER has to be one of the best in New York City and can handle any dental need or emergency.It is traumatic to have to go through any dental procedure, but going to the Denture Center you find yourself in an atmosphere where you are instantly put at ease, met by competent staff at the front desk, and placed in an office that has an overhead projector with beautiful imagery and music. You start to feel comfortable and can relax.The actual procedure for getting a denture is extraordinary and while it took several hours for me there was no real pain and only minor discomfort. Dentures need to be replaced every 4-6 years and so I have had a few replacements and each one looks beautiful and natural. Most people have no idea I have dentures. I have been a patient at this office for a little over 2 years now and so far I am extremely pleased. I am obsessed when it comes to my oral hygiene and have my cleanings every 6 months religiously! They have two hygienists, I have seen Paola three times and once Alicia. They both took the time to make sure every angle of my teeth is perfectly cleaned at each appointment. I actually love going for my cleanings, it feels like a spa treatment! At the last visit I also saw Dr Yam to have a wisdom tooth extraction which I have been dreading and let me tell you that went as swift as a breeze. Dr.Yam was very caring and gentle, and I honestly didnt feel a thing. He and his assistant Madina also explained how I should care for the area so that it heals faster. I was also very pleasantly surprised when he called me later that evening to check on how I was doing. Just love this place. Keep up the good work guys, kudos to the entire team!

Always first class. The staff is friendly and helpful. The technicians and the dentists, they treat you with care, constantly checking to make sure that everything is just the way you want it. Horrible experience. Dentist ( implant) called me in the back asked why I was there. I could tell he was rushing..left office and I never saw him again. Dentist assistance would come in to apologize for the long wait. 1hr and 45 minutes. I got up to find dentist working on someone else!! I left. Denist all rude and condescending. Dont walk run away from this place they just want your money!!!

The Herald Square Dental is an excellent practice. Dr. Shirzadnia treated me for two implants. He is very professional and meticulous in his work - he does not cut corners. He took his time until the implants fit perfectly. Very pleasant experience. No pain! Highly recommended.

Ive been using this dental office for about 5 years. I travel from Long Island and see Dr Alfred Shirzadnia. Ive always had a relaxed and pleasant experience. Front desk is kind, respectful and accommodating. The office and equipments are clean and well kept. Each time I go I am seen with a very short wait time, if any at all. Dr Alfred is smart and and an amazing dentist. He is patient and very knowledgeable. You can trust him 100% because you can see he cares about his patients and their teeth! I just want to let everyone know the wonderful experience with this cosmetic dentist. I hated my teeth for years and some dentists that I have visited were unable to help me. I searched around for a good cosmetic dentist and my sister recommended this dentist. I arranged an appointment for a consultation and I knew instantly that I had made the right choice. I was treated so well and utmost respect was given plus the genuine care that they have given me. Every procedure was discussed and I knew exactly what to expect throughout my treatment. I was given the best advice on how to care for my teeth and gums. I’m very pleased with the result and I want to thank my dentist.
I really regret going your office to repair my partial denture. For starters I went to a place that fixes dentures and they told they told me it would be $89.00 to affix the piece with the teeth that broke off my denture but I’d have to wait 4 days for the repair, so I called your your office because you give same day service. I went to your office and when I got there I thought I could just drop off my denture but no they want to sit you on a dentist chair just to get that $40 copayment and what’s worse is the dentist never said how much it would be to fix the denture so when I came back to pick the denture up they told me the cost is $360, I very much feel that I was grossly over charged to affix 2 teeth back on the denture, so if you don’t want be ripped off please don’t set foot in this place they are quite deceptive, I just should’ve waited the 4 days.....

I looked for a long time for a New York cosmetic dentist before finding Herald Square Dental in Midtown. I have been very happy ever since. I had two dental implants done and also teeth whitening. I am very satisfied with my new smile.

My dentist in NYC is Herald Square Dental. I thought that getting dental implants in Manhattan would cost me a lot but I was wrong. With my insurance plan my copay was low. The dentist was great and the staff was all very friendly. I have recommended this NYC dentist to several friends.

Terrible service! Dr. Pasch treats people like cattle. Just moves them out as fast as possible so they next person can come in. Not passionate enough to phobia patients. He was rude as ever at times! I just went to another dentist where everyone was very nice, understanding and most of all much more professional then this place!!!!

Consider This A Public Service Announcement:I truly used to love this place and considered it my last stop for dental needs for the preceding eight years, that has changed dramatically.The office is shabby compared to when they put out fruit and cake and coffee during the holidays, (a nice touch), now even the water fountain is broken. That seems a metaphor for the general practice in general, the good people are all gone. The pricing has gone off the chart, and there is no redress of billing concerns accept with a rude, sharp tongued shrew who is a sad excuse for a gatekeeper to the spineless Dr. Pasch, the principle.Sorry to see a once fine concern in such disrepair, and even asked an employee if the practice had been sold, its that dramatic. To think that I faithfully commuted here from well into N.J., and encouraged friends and family to do the same to this practice solely due to its friendly, ethical, good practice standards.Stay away please, in ten years I have written under twenty reviews, most glowing endorsements, but I have done my civic duty here. 02/15/19 jr

I found my experience with Herald Square Dental to be efficient, pleasant, and dare I say enjoyable. I needed a dentist who would provide excellent dental implants as well as a cosmetic dentist and they delivered. Very grateful to find this dentist!

Unlike other places, this dentist could not provide me with a cost estimate for the dental implants without taking the CT scan. Other places gave me the estimate including the cost breakdown, but this place doesnt. Furthermore, I was given the rough estimate. I dont feel comfortable with starting the procedure without the detailed information since a dental implant is not an inexpensive procedure.
1st let me start by saying i have a fear of dentist.I went to see Dr Pasch for a free consultation for some dental work and he was amazing! He took his time with me expained what was going to happen how long it was going to take and answered all my questions,also promised me I was going to be happy. He and the whole staff made me feel welcomed and at ease. After 2 weeks i went back to start the work. Let me say he delivered on his promise!!!! i cant be any happier with the outcome! Thank you Dr Pasch!!!!!!!Dr Pasch even call me later that evening to check on me to see if I was ok. Like how many dentist still do that? The staff (both administrative and dental) are great. However, my issue is the terrible wait times. Always have to wait at least 45 minutes despite having an appointment and showing up on time. They clearly need to improve their scheduling system.

I came to see Dr.Shu for any emergency cracked tooth, I haven’t had a root canal in twenty years, he was so efficient and through the procedure went really well , he is now my dentist, he’s great, and his assistants are so professional and the front desk staff as well.
They are the best. Ive been there for full dentures and repairs.

This was one of the worst experiences that I have had from a dental office in a long time.I made an appointment for 3pm and I phoned the office that I would be 5 minutes late at 2:30pm.I had already given my all of my information to the scheduling assistance twice before the appointment, so I do not know why they asked me for a third time.NOT TO MENTION I HAD TO WAIT OVER AN HOUR AND STILL NO ONE WAS AVAILABLE TO SEE ME. The waiting room was packed with no sitting available and people were just sitting there. Eventually I got tired of waiting and walked out. All the women in the front didnt seem to notice, as they were too busy chatting and gossiping.If this is the way that your office does business (with a complete lack of respect for someones time) than why would any working professional want to do business with this office.I am going to put these bad reviews all over the internet, so that people can be warned and find someone else.

Office is extremely clean.I went in for a tooth extraction in tears and I left smiling. It was a walk in the park. Dr. Yam sets the tone for the patient by being so cool, calm, & collected.Last but not least is Amer. He is a nice addition to Herald Square Dental. His bedside manners are on point & he explains everything in detail for the patient..

2022-05-18I had extensive work and walked out with a new smile and feeling like a million dollars, especially as I was treated with such care and attention . I felt I was the one main and only concerned for Dr. Pasch ( which is impossible as he is extremely busy), but that is how I felt. Not to mention the caring manners of the staff, from all levels. I will sure recommend Herald Square Dental to friends and family due to excellent and highly qualified services and, above all, the attentive professionals that really make a difference!I am a happy and satisfied customer.

2022-05-11Went here for a total of 4 appointments. For my first appointment came with a dentist covered by my insurance. This dentist left the practice, and I wasnt notified. Then they assigned me to a different dentist that is apparently a Premier dentist for my next two visits. Wasnt alerted to the fact that he was a premier dentist and wasnt initially billed or alerted to any sort of balance after the first visit with this new dentist (who I saw for 2 seconds). Just had my 6 month cleaning and suddenly I was charged for not just this visit but my previous visit and finally told this dentist is not covered by my insurance to the full level. I didnt hate my actual experiences while having my teeth checked/cleaned at this place but this whole premier practice thing is a joke as I did not experience anything better than the previous dentists Ive had in my life, if anything the experience was slightly below that of other dental practices Ive been to. Its also absurd to not notify a patient of these changes and then charge them for it. Paid my bill and will be selecting a different dental practice for the future.

When you are at Herald Square Dental, you know that you are in the right hands! To begin with, the decoration of the office from the elevator area to the operatories is impressive! Organized clean operatories, beautiful décor around the office bring you to a relaxing state. Dr. Pasch and the staff are so attentive, caring, and knowledgeable! They listen to your concerns and provide excellent dental care. I have been a patient here since 2016, and so far, my experience has been outstanding! Even though there are so many restrictions with COVID-19, this office stays on top of the social distancing requirements. The staff follows all the precautions that help minimize the viruss spread. The air filtration system was engineered specifically considering the office space and that the dental office has a dental laboratory on the premises. The office employees wear all the necessary PPE. During the procedures, they use external high-volume suction devices that help reduce any aerosol particulate generated. With all mentioned above, I do feel safe coming here. Overall, my experience has been satisfying. I strongly recommend you visit Herald Square Dental & The Denture Center and receive excellent dental care! They are undoubtedly trustworthy! 2022-09-07Ive been here 3 or 4 times over approximately 5 years and very relieved Ive found this office. They are almost the only business in the City that creates and repairs dentures onsite - with same-day service. They are also great about fitting in emergency appointments. The results and the service have always been wonderful, and the pricing has been reasonable. Ive seen Dr. Ian Pasch and also Dr. Arthur Yam - recommend both. Another plus - theyre right by Penn Station - easy to reach.

2022-09-08I have been going to herald square dental for over twelve years for regular checkup. For the first time I had to have an implant and was pleasantly surprised at how easily it happened. I have a healthy fear of dentist because of past experiences and Dr Alfred has helped me tolerate the visits well with his friendly chairside manner.

2022-06-14Update - very shortly after posting this i received a call from a representative of Herald Sq dental who committed to addressing my specific billing issue and making sure that Smilist (the new parent company who bought them) do more to stop these issues occurring in the future. I appreciate this level of customer care and have adjusted my review to reflect.I have been coming to this dental practice for several years and have always been very happy with the care from the hygienist and the dentist. The front desk staff are friendly and efficient too. However;....they must have stopped accepting my insurance (METLIFE) because I just received a bill for several hundred dollars for my most recent treatment (hygienist and regular dentist check up). This same set of procedures has been covered 100% by my insurance in previous years as it was in network.At no point did they mention this change, either before, during or after the visit. I filled out the pre-appointment check list when i arrived and listed my insurance on that form and yet still no one bothered to mention they had stopped taking MetLife.I think this is unprofessional, bordering on deceitful, and not what I wouldve expected from this company given how happy I have been with the service up until now. Very disappointing. I will not be going back.
