Go surprise yourself!The kind of place you wouldn’t wish to enter when you are practically too broke to think of getting anything. Svetlana, the SA, is probably the worst SA on earth. People who shop in Hermes are decent people to be able to afford such luxury. To be treated poorly by the SA defies all common sense. I will never go back there, despite having purchased my first Birkin there. Svetlana can continue to pretend shes more important than her customers. Bye!
I have a watch my Hermès the band came loose I went there Mika was very helpful and made me feel comfortable they are working to fix it and I’m grateful I came to the store and was able to get it fixed because I can’t be without my watch thank you Mika your very nice and professional service 🙏🏼 I picked up my order before it was even due thank you Mika for being the best thank you Mika again and thank you Hermès 🙏🏼 I definitely recommend this place has few floors of amazing stuff love your towels 🙏🏼
Fernando should be fired from this boutique!Fernando thinks that he works for Hermès, sells luxuries so he’s a piece of arrogant luxury. He’s in a wrong direction! Remember your job isn’t technical job and you are there to represent the brand and to serve the clients.As a result, He humiliated and insulted clients.Even ladies who work on the same floor don’t like to work and to speak with him.He’s snobby. Only like to work with clients who he can make a lot commission from. Starving sales.
I went to this today to purchase the Hapi bracelet. I walked in and no one greeted me although there were plenty of salespeople standing around. I was able to find someone to help me with the bracelet. Turns out they were out of the size I needed. I asked if it could be ordered from another store. This option was not initially offered, just a frazzled salesperson telling me that they were cleaning up from after the holiday.I also went to get my watch band repaired. The lead time for the size and color is 6-8 months. I mentioned to the person that I was also looking for the Hapi bracelet but it was u available in this store. He suggested going across the street to the men’s store. This is where I purchased it. Also note that a woman was returning a necklace and was vocal about all the salespeople standing around not offering help.This is not the first time I went to Hermès and experience poor service. My last visit was to the store in Madrid and they were so incredibly professional. They made my purchase special. Even in Paris where it is extremely busy, you feel special.I really hope a manager reads this review. I save to buy myself something special each year and I felt that I would have been treated better at Nordstrom.
Unbelievable how terrible the service is. Worked with Jonathan Flores, promised overnight delivery, charged me for overnight delivery, and now it isn’t showing up until next week. They are complete liars. I don’t spend hundreds of thousands but purchased a bag that the wife wanted. Promises these guys make at the store are never met. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Hermes is my top luxury brand and fashion house rendering top luxury service. I was greeted with a warm greeting and welcome most instantly as soon as I stepped into the store. They offer top quality customer service where staff is truly approachable and professional. I was offered tour of the store as well as complimentary libations even without an appointment. One day I’ll be able to make a commitment into purchasing a Birkin or Kelly and when I do I will come back at this location.
DO NOT BUY on website. Purchased Apple Watch for wife $1350.00 and never received it. Called Hermes and they said “we sent it Fed Ex and that they contacted fed ex for an investigation and that fed ex did investigation saying delivered “. Case closed. But I never received it. In fact bought a replacement (idiot). Hermes said I’m beat so tried to tell VISA. Visa sided with Hermes. Guess what? Decided to call fed ex months later. They said Hermes never contacted them at all and could have made a claim...... don’t ever have something sent
In Summary: Awful customer service, no return policyContext: Hermes puts out a special tie each year for Chinese New Year (that shows the new years zodiac animal chasing away the previous years animal). My wife buys me one every year.Situation: This year my wife is working in Beijing on secondment. I was going to visit her for Valentines Day and Chinese New Year. As she does every year, she ordered me the tie, but this time, placed the order online to be picked up in store (hopeful that the store would have it ready before I left to see her). Unfortunately, the store did not get the order ready before I left. No big deal, I thought, Ill just get it when I get back, or worst case, have them ship it to meComplication: I got back and, like most everyone that takes a vacation, was swamped at work playing catch-up. Naturally, picking up a tie took a back seat, to work. Unfortunately as well, the Hermes store has pretty unaccommodating hours of 10-6. Not much time passed before my wife got an email saying that the order had not been picked up and would be returned to the warehouse. Immediately thereafter, I get an angry email from my wife asking me why I had not yet picked up her gift to me.Result: Figuring, for $200+ for a tie I might expect a little customer service, I called the Hermes store and asked if they could hold the tie for me for a week or two more (allowing my work plate to clear), or, if they couldnt, to at least ship it to me. Unfortunately, both the store and the customer service phone rep were happy to point out that, no, they could not continue to hold the tie, nor could they ship it to me. I would have to pick it up immediately or it would be returned. It dumbfounded me that even if I paid the shipping and scanned them a copy of my drivers license, that they could still not ship it to me. After all, I am the person who was on the order as the designated pickup person, and, a combination of my drivers license, credit card info, and a delivery signature required, could more than assure my identity. Not wanting to upset my wife (its a gift after all ), I pushed around some client meetings and picked it up at the store, narrowly missing them sending it back to the warehouse.Conclusion: Thank you Hermes for making me choose between my work and my wife. Furthermore, thank you for informing me, that since it took so long to pick up the order, NO returns would be accepted and that you MIGHT accept an exchange, should the need arise. You truly do embody the delicate balance between ignorance and apathy.

I dont like the way I was treated here. I spent too much money to feel as though I was rushed out of the store. Being a man of color shouldnt mean that I have to settle for subpar customer service. Its not like I dressed like some thug either. I had a suit on for goodness sake. I make it a priority to get my girlfriend something from Hermes a few times a year. I usually go online though. I feel as though going in person was a mistake. Ill be taking my business elsewhere.
Did you ever wonder how this Hermes is like McDonalds? Of course not! McDonalds has way better customer service. Spare yourself the trouble and spend your $20,000 on 20,000 dollar menu items.In all seriousness, this location is beautiful and has an excellent selection, the only redeeming qualities. At the bare minimum, they should have the basic decency to say hello when youre about to purchase a wallet for over a grand. Customer service for anything shouldnt be this lackluster.The location at Wall Street is significantly more courteous. Unfortunately for Hermes, YSL has an inviting experience and I quickly took my business there.
As a customer for over 30 years, words cannot express how disappointed and frustrated i am with the service and communication.I have had the same planner for over 10 years now and they have no inserts for 2017. I was told they would order them and get back to me the next day....It has been two weeks and nothing!!! My Aunt has been waiting a year and finally gave up.They have always had this I Dont Care attitude but it has gotten to the point where customer service has suffered dramatically! This may be why the store is completely empty and the sales people are standing around with scarves wrapped around them in every possible fashion except as blindfolds which is what you would think they are using them for as they are blind to the fact that they need to step it up!That MAD AVE rent and huge staff and no customers is not a recipe for success!
Incredibly poor service. DO NOT BUY Hermes band for Apple Watch.I bought a Hermes strap for an Apple watch online on the Apple Store. After a few uses, the watch stained from very little perspiration. Nowhere in the description online or elsewhere was it stated that the strap is not treated nor did Hermes or Apple disclose that the leather is so incredibly sensitive that a little perspiration would end up staining it beyond repair.On top of the extremely poor product quality and disclosure, I was given the run-around today from the Apple Store customer service to the Hermes 800 number to Hermes Madison store in NY and back to the Apple Store. All contacts I had today tried to distance themselves from accountability and referred me to yet another party. The sales representative at Hermes Madison essentially told me that they could not do anything for me and that “you need to go back to the Apple Store and try and get your money back. We are not responsible for this product”. Wow. Talk about abdicating responsibility for your brand!I am utterly surprised that Hermes will not stand by their product when it fails under normal use and when Hermes fails to disclose properly on its defective qualities.
I have been an Hermes customer for over 30 years and have to say that the service in the Madison Avenue store is disappointing. Hermes should be ashamed of themselves. The staff are unbelievably arrogant. Nobody greets you when you walk in and when you try to get someones attention, they look straight through you. Oh, and by the way, they dont take returns - store credit only. Unbelievable in this day and age. I have bought my last Hermes tie.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience today at Hermes on Madison. I went in to buy a shawl and had superb help by Salon in selecting one. Then, Valentina repaired the one that I was wearing, due to a hem stitching problem that had opened up, while I waited. And the repairs were done in 20 minutes, on the spur of the moment, and all of it was done gratis! Thank you for taking such great care of me and my shawl. I will forever stay a loyal fan and customer of yours.
I love the product, i think it is well made from bags to accessories. what i seriously dislike is the fact that the staff at hermes ny is poor and pretentious without having any hint of the basics of education.i walked in requesting to purchase a certain item that is generally available only via special orders. the attendant told me i could not order it because it was not season. ok i say, can you please let me know if you find it or receive it in the next 3 weeks so i can come and purchase it? it is for a special event. took my number and never called me again. i called the Milan store and i was called back multiple times (it was season there to order), the staff there is careful and well trained to work with the clientele that generally hermes has.i believe the NYC store manager should at least explain his staff that a simple call back with a negative answer shows care for your clients and will help you retain them for a long time.
The ties are expensive and of mediocre quality. Buy a Charvet instead. Nicer material and similar price.The leather goods are largely overpriced, with the exception of their gloves which are WILDLY overpriced. Get them made custom from anywhere else. Theyll fit better and cost less.The service is snooty at best. Most of the staff dont know what theyre selling, or why you should buy it. For a flagship store in Manhattan, they certainly need a lot of training.
Snobby sales whod rather talk to one another than answering my verbal and gestural call for assistance standing right in front of them.But then theres this Caucasian couple behind me who are just walking and browsing, the sales rushed pass me to offer help. Been to over 20 Hermes stores world wide and never had this attitudes. Dont even want to give me a chance to be a customer here?
Just had a wonderful experience with Sybilla the sales specialist. My wife and I were in NYC for a little weekend getaway. Sybillas professionalism and going above and beyond to assist us made our experience with HERMĒS amazing. She is real asset for the brand. As for the store - it is a beautiful multifloor stand alone building with everything you could imagine made by HERMĒS.
This store is more like a mini museum to cherish the brand than a mere store! It offers almost all the products of the Hermes brand. My friend bought a belt that her father always wants here. The store is right next to the Hermess men store which is right across the road.
I love Hermes but I also love old vintage hermes and goyard and chanel. The new stuff just isnt the same. My grandmother had tons of all this old LV steamer trunks and Hermes bags and Goyard trunks and I remember that quality. It doesnt exist anymore. Its fun to browse, but personally I love going down to Pilgrim (the headquarters of fabulous pristine vintage Chanel bags and jewelry) where quality is still old school.I buy my husband a tie here. And sometimes a Wallet. Honestly. Thats about it. Im sick of the Birkin bag. Its become a parody of itself. The girls carrying it are rich - yes, but it makes them look like old ladies, they are way too YOUNG to carry a $20,000 handbag and it looks ridiculous.
Oh the infamous stuffed horse for $$$$$$. i was lucky enough to tough it and play with it before the employees took it and put it in a glass case. i guess it was between the reaction of my face seeing the price tag to the passing it around like a hot coal. gotta say, the scarves are sofffft!!!! burberry has nothing on hermes. big fan!
This store has very poor customer service, what kind of customer service do they have in there? I went in to ask about a bag and she laughed in my face telling me no cause I have to order it, so I asked if I can put my name on the list, she said no need they wont give it to me or call me, I was shocked 😲 never going there again
They humiliate their customers the sellers are so rude and ignore the buyers, they do not help you in anything , besides some sales associates from this store started to harass my friend by instagram .they started to discriminate him and make hate comments like they want that he die, very unprofessional such a horrible experience

2022-07-21In the fall of 2021 my wife purchased a panama hat that cost $700. I never wore the hat until the summer of 22. The first time I wore it last week. The top portion of the Panama cracked. I immediately called the store they told me to bring it in and they would either repair it or replace it. When I walked in the store and showed the sales person the damaged hat she told me they cannot exchange it and cannot have it repaired. The only thing they could do is send it back to Paris and have one of the representatives there take a look at it and that will take from 6 to 8 months. And they will make a decision and they told me there’s more they could do and she moved on to a different customer. It’s amazing because no one told me that when it was purchased. It’s a shame because when companies get so big and powerful they don’t need the average person‘s business. I will never go back there again and I wish everyone who reads this does the same. 2022-06-26Worst customer service I have ever experienced. No one seemed as if they wanted to help and when asked if someone could help they acted as if I was bothering them. It kills me when people that work in these luxury stores act like their family name is the one on the store and forget you are a sales associate. I will never visit this location again. Not to mention I have never been followed around in any store until I came to this one. He stopped after I had to cuss him out. Don’t play with me. Instead of following me, he should have been following the women who was purchasing a whole bunch of stuff and card got declined when she went to pay for it.

2022-06-01Received the order yesterday I am appalled and extremely disappointed in the packing and presentation you provided! Hermes is a luxury brand that should up hold all its service traditions on every clients purchases.It was not gift-wrapped as I requested it came in a white ugly damaged cardboard box, no orange box just one that didnt even have the traditional ribbon. I am upset that my purchase was treated this poorly by your company the standards provided were poor and unacceptable from this brand that prides itself on service values and craftsmanship! I dont shop in the boutiques any longer due to the inferior service level to long time clients.I decided to make this purchase thru EService for a gift its a nightmare besides it didnt arrive on time. Whats going on at this company? Every clients order whether small or large should matter and receive the utmost respect, exceptional service and most important Presentation!!!I expect this to be rectified asap by your company!!

2022-06-14Me and my family have been loving this brand for a long time. Im from Korea and an international student. I travelled a lot of countries and luckily had the chance to visit numerous hermes stores.This particular store is the worst hermes store ever I highly recommend to go store near financial district. I dont know why but they cannot even distinguish the product is for men and women. Not to mention worst service. This was the most awful hermes experience in my whole life.

2022-05-04Service is prompt. Sales associate are always polite and friendly. I appreciate the fact that I can get in and out with what I need quickly. If you know what you are going to purchase and you are polite you should have a good shopping experience.They do get many demanding/rude customers and people who just want a Birkin or Kelly.It must be exhausting dealing with angry/disappointed/demanding customers all day long. Go to the home goods section. It is surprisingly affordable (in comparison to all the super expensive things they sell). The items are good quality and beautiful.If you are looking for a sales associate to fawn all over you and treat you like a queen/ king because you are spending alot of money, you may be tad disappointed.

2021-09-08Ive never encountered such rude behavior from sales associates in any store over the past 5o years of my life. Its a shame for hermes to be following this sales tactic, for a lux brand to discriminate and differentiate based on looks is appalling. I felt like i was living the scene from Pretty Woman. They only cater to their own clients and clients they have a relationship with. Im sorry do I need to sleep with you or give you a kidney to get assisted? NO. i will take my money elsewhere. The SA need to realize at the end of the day, their salary is dependent on the consumer.

2021-08-30Hermès has such a beautiful products! However, after the treatment in the Men store in NY I will think twice before puchasing anything from Hermès.I was on holidays in NYC and wanted to buy a gift for my husband. The service in the store was horrible! I was with baby sleeping in the stroller and no one even helped me open the door! All the sales assistants were busy with their phones. Noone cared to help me, even when I asked! I left the store and went to the competitor.This is NOT the treatment we use to have in Hermès in Europe! It spoiled my whole long-term relation and experience I had with this brand!It was really unacceptable.

2021-09-23This is the second time in my life that I would review online. I’ve been many Hermes branches in many countries but this branch both men’s and womens’s have the WORST customer service ever! The staffs are all so rude and unprofessional. They can’t even talk nicely! Believe me, go other branches.

2021-05-15A nightmare of a company that treats customers disgracefully. Will not accept returns, and dont even give you a reason for it - they just send it back to you! Then when you call them to find out what happened, well, good luck with that. I dont understand how they get away with it. Appalling, obnoxious, infuriating - take your pick. There are other nice brands with cute logos out there. Give them your money, these creeps dont deserve it.
