Brought my kitten in for a spay. The receptionist was extremely rude. Received a call after saying she was doing great. 3 hours later received another call saying she was dead. They were completely unsympathetic couldn’t provide an explanation on how She went from great to dead. Myself and my daughter were extremely upset and all they cared about was money.
Called them about ear infection scheduled me for 3:30 on a sat but they close at 11:30 on sat didnt call them complaining about my time they wasted left it alone went in there today for my dog allergy medicine for them to tell me I have to pay $50 for miss appointment told them what happened told them even asked the girl twice about time and date you think they would own up to their mistake but no they insist that I pay for their mistakes or I cant get my dogs med if I dont.so the vet is ok with my dog suffering my dog is friendly always run up to someone wanting their love but with the vet she would growl at the vet no one else but her guess my dog new about her form the begin..Sad part is your a vet your supposed to care about Animals more than you do money 🤷🤑🤑
I take my cat here and they treat us very well.

Its been difficult since our move to the area to find an acceptable vet for our fur babies. We recently found Dr. Hernas who is beyond acceptable... finally, we found someone who truly cares about our pets! Love!
Dr Hernes and the staff are excellent. They obviously care about the animals - just the second time I took my cat there they were already almost familiar enough to recognize my cat and I by face instead of needing to look through the chart - you can tell they care.

My first time at this vet, my dog wouldnt walk she seemed to be in a lot of pain. Dr. Hernas did everything she could think of to make sure i left satisfied we did everything possible to figure out what was wrong with my pup. She knew i just spent thousands at the emergency vet hospital with no answers so she didnt charge me as much as she should have for x-rays and meds. If you want a vet who cares about her patients this is the place to go. I was also able to call and pay for meds over the phone and pick them up after hours.
Fantastic vet, very friendly and knowledgeable. Never had any issues in the 2 years I went there. Recently moved out of state and currently missing Hernas quite a bit
Hernas Vet Clinic is one of the best practices to go to, Ive been going there since I got my first dog (when i was 6) and my dog(s) got nothing but the best of care. Ive recently worked there for 3 years and I can say from a first hand experience that the entire staff and Dr Hernas herself truly work hard at helping pets feel better, they care for them as if they were their own. I am very grateful for having the opportunity to work at this wonderful clinic.
My dog has been going to this office for almost 8 years. Ive always been very happy with the service Fudgey receives and the doctors as well as the staff are always helpful and friendly.Most importantly weve never felt rushed and all procedures are thoroughly explained.
They are so good with our dogs. Wouldnt go any where else.

My experience has been good. Average pricing for the area. I’ve been to bigger vet clinics in the area and pricing is about the same. The thing I like most about this place is there’s one vet so you always have the same guy looking at your pet.. He helped us diagnose our kitties allergy problem. When advise our financial concerns he seemed to give us cheap alternatives. I took a star away cause he is a vet and they do price high. I wish pet care wasn’t so expensive, visit for us was $55 then add shots and it adds up.
Dr. Hernas and her staff are great. They not only give great care to our puppy baby but also care about us. I highly recommend them. We drive one hour one way to keep her as our Vet and we will continue to do so.
I love these Docs!! Dr. Hernas is wonderful and my dog loves going there. They are all soo nice and go out of their way to accommodate you. Their prices are very affordable also.
Amazing facility and professional staff. We had to put our miniature schnauzer down after his long battle with diabetes and heart disease. The staff was extremely accommodating, professional and kind throughout the process. They even followed up with a card sent to our home (even though our dog had never been to the clinic). The clinic and staff made a very difficult time for the family much smoother than imagined.
We moved to the area a year ago and were considering bringing our pups to Dr. Hernas. The reviews here are amazing. We called today to make an appointment as they are both sick. The woman answering the phone was so extremely rude and lacking in any compassion. Perhaps if you make it past her then things go great. We certainly wont know. We booked an appointment and then called back to cancel. This just left such a bad taste. We would rather drive the pups out to where we used to live and have their compassionate vet care for them.

Our dog needed stitches, and our regular vet couldnt see us on a busy Saturday morning. We didnt want to go to the emergency clinic, so we started calling around. The folks at Hernas couldnt have been nicer, and they took us in immediately. Three hours later, our pup was back in tip-top shape, and we now have a new vet! Thanks to everyone in the office for their kindness and care for our dog!
This clinic comes highly recommended so I was a bit surprised by a number of impressions of my visit. The lobby/waiting room is devoid of all of the usual veterinary merchandise, magazines, artwork and posters. It seemed very sterile and unwelcoming.The staff I met were not that different. They showed no interest in my pet. They treated him in a very matter of fact and detached manner. I thought that I would be seeing Dr. Carla Hernas, however some other doctor who did not bother to introduce himself came into the room. He also seemed uninterested in my pet and asked me what I wanted him to do, which I found strange. I asked him if he thought it would be a good idea to examine my guy and he kind of shrugged like Sure, whatever you think.I started to wonder if he was a real vet because he almost seemed afraid to handle him. Fortunately, unlike most vet clinics, I thought their prices were fair and I essentially got what I came for but I wont be going back.
I have been bringing my animals here for over 25 years. I wont go any place else. Dr. Hernas is amazing. She is gentle with the animals. She is also kind and compassionate. She not only cares about the animals but she cares about people too.
Dr Hernas and Her associates are all so very kind and accommodating. I brought my dog in for several issues and they have always treated me (a nervous-wreck and emotionally attached pet-parent) with kindness. They always call the next day to check in on me and my dog which is a step above some of the other vets I have had. My 9 year old Chihuahua is having some sudden issues and this clinic went out of their way to fit me into their schedule, saw me quickly, and provide treatment for my little guy at a reasonable cost. They next day he was feeling a little better. Still not out of the woods yet and have to bring him back, but I know when I call Monday morning, that I will be in excellent hands.
Please if you love your fur baby don’t take them to Hernas. I needed to find a closer vet due to transportation issues and chose Hernas on the advice of a neighbor. The first time I took my boy Jay there I was not comfortable, felt the place was not as clean as it could be and Dr Hernas was rude to her own staff. I brushed it off, thinking it was just me as I suffer from an anxiety disorder, though I had always felt comfortable at my previous vet. I let my boy down so bad, he died there on July 23, and he should not have died like that, he deserved so much better. Techs we’re laughing and joking outside the room where I was saying goodbye. They said he had had a massive stroke or seizures, shouldn’t a vet know the difference, and that he was basically brain dead. He fought to live when they administered the euthanasia drug. He wasn’t brain dead he knew, and I trusted them, and now he’s gone.I was also horrified to see the back area, where pets in for procedure are kept. It’s not air conditioned and definitely not sterile. I’m horrified that Jay was there twice for dentals and that my girl Hope was spayed there.Please learn from my mistake! Needles to say I’m looking for a different vet for my girl. Though I don’t think I will ever trust a vet completely again.
They are very good with my dogs They take excellent care of my dogs every time i call or bring them in for something there raters are very reasonable and i would highly recommend them wouldnt go anywhere else
Totally recommend. If you want your animal to feel like family this is the place to go. Dr.Hernas really cares and not only does she care but she is an extremely skilled vet. She saved my Iggy when we got attacked by a pitbull. Unfortunately my dog passed on in January and she sent me a card that I cherish. If I ever get another dog, I want to use this place again.
The Hernas Vet Clinic is hands down one of the best places to bring any animal. It’s unfortunate to read some of the comments, this platform allows people to just say what they want without the business being able to do much to defend itself. The staff is heartfelt and warm, Dr. Hernas is well respected and been at this for a long time. For anyone to question her I know they are full of it. Remember there are always two (well three) sides to a story...yours theirs and the actual full truth. No one is perfect, but to question the hardworking vets and techs at that clinic is shameful. They care about each and every animal as they are their own!!!
Had a late night emergency with my dog and when I called Hernas first thing the next morning, they got us right in. My dog had two loose teeth from falling off of the bed and I was a wreck. The receptionist was really friendly and helpful when I called. Then, when we got there, not only did Dr. Hernas calm me down about it and make things as simple and painless for my dog, but the cost of having the teeth taken out really quickly and giving my dog a vaccination that he needed was extremely reasonable. I would honestly recommend this vet office to anyone. Dont bother looking elsewhere.

They are always amazing with my dog, Charles. Hes not always the nicest but they know how to handle him well. They are also good about explaining anything that u have questions about. Highly recommend them

Went this morning with my dogs sample of his poo as he has had issues last 4 days. Waited for them to open only to have a young girl tell me she needed 35 dollars for samples which made no sense because we could pay when we made appt. for this Thursday 17th. Now its bring samples then but also told not to feed him by this young lady. So not patient or owner friendly. Seems its all about the money. And yes that place is far from clean all around. Its all about the money not the pet.
I called at around 7am and they had me in the same day a few hours later. They saw me right away and were very knowledgeable and kind to my cat. They took blood work and xrays and very quickly found the problem and helped me understand exactly what was going on. I followed their advice and the next day my cat was doing much better and is now 100% recovered. They saved me $ by not jumping straight into surgery and I couldnt be happier.
This Veterinary clinic was an absolute godsend in our time of emergency! Our main vet (Sunny side) recommended them when they were booked up. Our 10 month old pit/shitzu Gizmo got parvo from the dogpark. They were very helpful with my consistant and frantic 17 phone calls, reassuring our chances the entire way! We rushed him there and they saw us immediately upon entering. They quickly got him fluids and thankfully it was early enough for a distemper vaccine. The vet gave us some donated antibiotics for no charge. Its a Very welcoming and loving environment to bring your sick or hurt animal. We will absolutely be coming back!
Carla saw our GSD for almost her entire life. She performed a major growth removal surgery on her and our dog healed with no issues whatsoever - but unfortunately over the years, the doctors unpleasant attitude ruined the experience for myself and my family.
Ive had three basset hounds all taken care of by Dr Hernas they have always been there to answer a question and always got me in as soon as possible when was needed extremely thankful to all the folks that work there very kind and always concerned for your pets well-being as well as yours

Ok for minor issues. Dont put your pet down there. I put my old cat who had a heart attack down there and they ended up sticking him 3 times. It was awful. Then they charged me for their mistake. My poor old boy. :( he suffered, and I still have nightmares.

Our cat was totally constipated due to being a Minx and had to be kept and taken care of for 4 days with multiple procedures. I was only charged $500 which is about 1/3 of what I expected. They are very kind and really care about the pet rather than making a buck off of you. This is a real Veterinary clinic and would not think of ever going elsewhere again.
Great clinic, busy but the doctor was very nice and asked questions and listened. I definitely recommend this clinic for your pet.

2022-05-18Dr Hernas and her Staff are fantastic! We bring all of our Adult Dogs, and Puppies that we breed here. I just brought my Cat there that had Urinary issues. They truly care about not only the Animals, but also the Owners as well. I will recommend this Vet Clinic to anybody I know!

2022-05-31If I could give a 0 star Im most Absolutely would. Thursday I noticed that my poor dog was acting very weird and I could tell something was seriously wrong. Friday they got him in at 10:30 with an emergency visit. I think that was the only good thing about it was how quick they were able to get him in considering that it was a holiday weekend Whats they had no mind repeating that it was. As if they probably really didnt want to see anybody, They did blood work and they did x-rays and tell us that he was bleeding eternally he was very jaundice he had a small liver amongst a few other things. They also were trying to make my husband muzzle my dog for absolutely no reason so you want to put a muzzle on a dog that is completely dying their words Which doesnt even make any sense. After my husband called me and told me this information I called there for myself to speak with someone because I just could not believe what I was hearing needless to say or no needless to say a guy was on the phone who to me is sounding like a girl cant even tell tells me oh no your dog was not dying so now what is it he there was or he wasnt needless to say Saturday morning my dog was very bad I ended up finding a place that was able to come into my home and lay him at rest because he was just no longer there I do not recommend these people at all never gotta follow up call nothing I just called there to let them know about it and Can careless dont go there ever

2022-02-01I’ve been singing their praises for over 10 years. It’s rare to find a vet that is amazing and truly cares for the well-being of your pet over making money. Every vet, tech, and receptionist there that I’ve come across has been wonderful to deal with.

2022-04-14This is the best veterinarian around! She is so caring and kind. Her staff all try to be as helpful as possible. Front desk is always helpful and the techs are the best. My wife and I are overly protective of our furbabies and have been to many different vets over the years. Hands-down Dr. HERNAS is the best.

2022-03-10A complete rip off she has been in business to long and is extra greedy! My dog was sick I called to make a appointment stating i wanted blood work and a hip x-ray. iI was told that the wait would be two weeks I was fine with that but I told them I live close by and if there was a cancelation i could come right in. The next day they called and I showed up when they said to , she looked at my dog and said he looked sick and needed blood work and x-rays but they didnt have the time I would have to make a appointment at a later date, she charged me over $100 dollars just to tel;l me my dog looked sick,which anyone could see.

Dr. Hernas is so kind and treats you and your pet with such respect.Her staff are also a so welcoming and professional from the front desk to the exam room. They all have treated my rescued dog so well. Lauren & Damon are the best!Highly recommend!

2021-11-24I have mixed feelings about this clinic. I liked Dr. Alan a lot who is no longer there, and the techs are wonderful... But since he left I have had 3 bad experiences there. Dr. Hernas has been very quick to suggest surgery for a geriatric dog on multiple occasions. Her bedside manner is also lacking and she is very rude to her staff. Will not go back. I felt I needed to write this review to warn others.

2021-11-19Dr. Hernas and the staff were amazing with my elderly cat. So gentle & kind. I travel for work so I was nervous about finding a good veterinarian I could trust. Would definitely recommend this clinic!

2021-04-28I brought my sons puppy Thor here when he was sick & the staff & Carla Hernas was so helpful & compassionate. She cured him when he was near death. I acquired 2 puppies of my own since then (Lilly & Chai) & she takes good care of them as well. I highly recommend this place to everyone who has a pet. Its not about money for them they truly care about their patients & their families.
