The team at this Hertz location was incredible. Kyle and Dominique were so helpful and responsive. They were kind and quickly assisted our family after a long series of flights with a baby. I’d seriously head back to Albany just to see this awesome team again! Thanks guys!!! You helped make our visit incredible.
Very impressed with the customer service at this location. The pickup was extremely fast and the vehicle was super clean, new and nice. Was late for my flight and the drop off was seamless for the first time ever, super fast and the gentleman at the drop off was amazing! Honestly I hate dropping off especially at airports but this time I have to say best experience ever didnt get the name of the young gentleman at the drop off, but he was so caring and professional and even made sure and reminded me of my phone charger that I can’t live without. Amazing service!
We are 5 Gold Star members. You dont downgrade your members to lower vehicles like you did. We had to return to the airport to exchange as vehicle was not large enough for need. More than an inconvenience it is a disgrace. Our reservation was made 6 weeks prior. Am I thinking of future rentals. Not really. You did make good when we returned for larger car but not without words. So disappointed to think nothing matters.
Horrible experience! I picked up my rental car yesterday right before closing and the low tire warning indicator is on. I took it to a gas station and filled the tires with air. Ten minutes later, the warning indicator came back on. I called Hertz and was told I need to call the roadside assistance to get the tire repaired. I’m supposed to be in Florida this afternoon and don’t have time for the car to be serviced. Also, the “sanitized” sticker was broken and the car is filthy! Inside windows have greasy handprints, the inside windshield is thick with a layer of cigarette smoke and the car smells like death. I can’t believe a company would rent this car out. Also, can’t believe how horrible customer service is.
Never again!! Theyll literally leave you stranded and not give a f. I flew from Minnesota to New York just to find out you cant rent a car with a debit card but yet you can book it and pay for it with it But nowhere does it say you have to have a major credit card also. Okay fine if thats the way it is But to not tell anybody that is b*******
I reserved a car through Priceline. When I got to the Hertz counter the full size suv I had reserved was not available. I was offered a Toyota minivan as a repalcement for $210 more for a 4 day trip! The car is in terrible condition. When the brakes are applied the steering wheel shakes almost out of your hands. I am currently on hold with emergency roadside assistance for 1 hour and 17 minutes and still listening to the same awful hold music. Priceline offered zero help. My next call is to American Express. They have never failed me yet.
I booked a Chevy Malibu and when I went to get the car, it was not available and I had to choose another one.I traveled during the night and got a lot of rain, the windshield wiper blades were worn, making visibility very difficult, they didnt clean the water from the glass. It was a very bad and dangerous experience, because I was with my family in the car. A fundamental security item that has not been supervised.I was very disappointed with this experience.I ask that you do a better check up on the security items of the car before making it available for rental.
Cant rent a vehicle from hertz Albany New York airport unless you can show a return flight out of airport. I was on return portion of my round trip ticket. I reserved vehicle & was returning vehicle to different hertz location, ( ok by them) my son noticed a side notice on confirmation stating you must show flight.....Upon calling to verify, thinking it would be reasonable to think showing a rd trip ticket would be more than enough ;as I cant believe its legal to ask for this information. I was very wrong to expect logic.1) none of hertz business about my travel, Im paying for using a vehicle2) at no other time or location do they ask/ require proof of your plans. In my opinion its an invasion of privacy and an unfair prejudicial policy unless at every rental location you require proof of travel plans. You gladly rent at destination but upon return, your policy is to refuse.I thought Id go with convenience, instead i will go with customer service & appreciation & continue to rent from Enterprise, a professional rental service who have never asked to see proof of my travel arrangements or plans.
I checked prices very carefully before deciding on Hertz. They gave me a 2016 Chevy Malibu for my weeks vacation. Its a lovely car, but it needed to be cleaned and washed, as there was trash under the seats and it smelled stale. Customer service was very good, not pushy about offering extras. Returning the car took a few minutes of waiting, but the process was easy.
Great service and flawless return. I use the AAA discount and it make Hertz very competitive. I have always had excellent service. I often get upgraded vehicles which is very nice. Recently I had a flight that was late and arrived 3 hours after the Hertz desk was scheduled to close. Hertz kept an agent there to check us in. All of the other rental desks were closed and their customers were switching to Hertz.
If I could rate lower than zero, I would. Booked a reservation, had no idea that on airport policies were different than off, and when I get there, was unable to rent a car due to my lack of credit card and I wasnt planning on flying... so... I was in a bit of trouble there! There was a boomer behind the counter that was incredibly rude an showed no empathy at all - and quite frankly I think you should look into hiring someone else to replace her! Id love to talk to a manager about it. I wouldve been OK with everything had this lady had a clue on how to be a customer service representative !
Do not leave without checking out the car and forcing them to note all damage. We picked up the car and the employee never left his insulated office and just handed us the keys. (He had a bad cold) in fact when they go over the car with you they are just being nice, they are not required to do that according to Hertz. It is very dark in the airport, and we noticed a small hole in the air dam of the car down near the road at the first rest stop and immediately called Hertz. We filled out a damage report when we returned the car and they are charging us $600 for something we didnt do. We will never do business with them again and I recommend that you dont.
I was in a bind last week coming off my plane. The car I reserved a car with ( national ) they messed up my reservation. The attendant at Hertz was amazing! He had me in a nice Saturn within 30 mins!He was absolutely perfect! Friendly, helpful , fast and found me a great deal! Not many like him, he is a rare breed and, I was blessed to meet him!
Horrible customer service. I called the 800 number and was on hold for over 33 minutes waiting to settle dispute over charges to my account. Just not worth the stress. It takes all of 30 seconds to take your money, but more than 10 business days to correct their mistakes.
After an unfortunate technical issue regarding my reservation at Alamo, Rob from the Hertz agency did an amazing job at helping me acquire a great vehicle for oddly enough less as a walk in than I had previously agreed on my previous rental made weeks in advance. Service was fast, friendly and also made some recommendations for sites nearby my destination for business. I highly recommend coming here for any rental needs
Update: General manager took care of the price issue, so I have changed it from one star to 4, but I never should have gone through this.Original review:I am a regular Hertz user, and a presidents circle member in their loyalty program, the highest level. I made a personal trip to the Hertz gold booth in Albany airport a week before I needed a large SUV rental. I was assured this vehicle would be available for my reservation in the presidents circle lot. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, they reneged on the deal that I was assured of when I made a trip there. Since I didnt have any other options to explore, as I had to leave immediately, I was forced to rent this vehicle for my trip at over double the originally quoted price. If this is how they treat a loyal Hertz customer, I hat to see how they treat others.
The first time I rented a car from this location two months ago, I had no problems whatsoever and the man who helped me was wonderful. However after my experience last week I will never ever rent from this entire company again. Upon arriving Anita greeted me with the most pathetic “yes?” I’ve ever heard at a customer service counter. I tried to chalk it up to maybe she was having a bad day but as the experience continued I realized that this was just her general attitude. When she gave me my rental agreement the price was over a hundred dollars more than what I booked it for. I booked a car the exact same way two months ago and this didn’t happen. When I expressed my confusion i apologized that I was upset because this trip was incredibly important to me as I was seeing my friend who was getting deployed. She could not have cared less. The lady next to her who was doing absolutely nothing and could’ve been helping to get to the root of the problem. I showed Anita how I booked the car and all the confirmations I had that said the original stated price. Upon me showing her all this she looks at the useless lady next to her and states “ugh can you get a manager I can’t deal with this.” Those were her exact words. The manager was equally as useless and when I showed them how I booked the car and showed them the rate on the phone was actually still less than what they were telling me with this new inflated price. The manager informed there was absolutely nothing he could do so I promptly cancelled my reservation and walked to the other counters who all told me that what hertz did was outrageous. When I walked to budget the lady had me in a car in 5 minutes and in a much nicer car than what I reserved at hertz for only 15 dollars more than the original price at hertz. She was kind and patient with me because at this point I was in tears from the experience at the hertz counter. She honestly could’ve told me it would be 200 dollars more and I would’ve booked it before I ever took anything from hertz again. Never in my life have witnessed such horrible customer service.
I prepaid for a car a week in advance. During this time, I spoke with 3 representatives both locally and with the national company. All failed to tell me that a credit card was necessary, even with prepay. I am now 5 hours behind on my schedule and I still have no car.The employees were USELESS and offered no help and no resources to fix the issue. Will never use this company again.
Total awesome experience. My car was clean, not smoked in and ready to go when i got there.Mike at the counter pointed me in the right direction to where I was going, explained the toll road and gave me a couple pointers...5 stars Mike...Check in return went flawless too i was immediately greeted with a friendly smile and asked if i needed any further help.. It went so quickly im actually an hour early for the flight
When the Hertz car broke down it was explained to me (by roadside assistance) that if hertz provided a replacement car then I would have two cars. It was further explained to me that I was not allowed to have two cars. Therefore I explained to Hertz that if they simply picked up the broken down car then I would have zero cars, after which then could then provide one car, at which point I would have one car instead of two cars. I have been waiting for a replacement car for over 22 hours now and I still have no replacement car. They kept hanging up on me and refused to call me back yesterday. There is a local Hertz only five miles from me. The local hertz says they cannot bring a working car out to me because the person at the desk is the only person there and apparently do not want to mention the reality that they can simply call a manager on the TELEPHONE. It is dark now because it is night time at 5:14 am. I have been calling hertz asking for a functioning car since 7:48 am the previous day. I still do not have a functioning car. To help hertz with their no-person-can-have-2-cars-in-break-down-situations policy I had hertz tow the broken down hertz car away. Now hertz can feel better because I now have zero cars. At this time so called roadside assistance has me on hold for 45 minutes after grilling me like a prison camp interrogator about the color of the broken down car which they insisted was black. What does the car being gray have to do with “get me a working car”? Hertz roadside assistance is an unspeakable s**thole. NO ONE SAID IM SO SORRY, WE WILL GET A WORKING CAR OUT TO YOU AS QUICKLY AS WE CAN, NO ONE. They all jacked me around with the color of the car, the no two car policy, and other ridiculous diversions. THE CORRECT RESPONSE IS IM SO SORRY, WE WILL GET A CAR OUT TO YOU AS QUICKLY AS WE CAN. Kyle agent 0339 told me he did not need his job and refused repeatedly to say that most simple of things. Kyle told me he did not want to tell me he was sorry the hertz car broke down. Deangelo also refused to apologize for the hertz car breaking down. The hertz roadside assistance also tried to provide medical judgement. There seemed to be no end to the harassment and abuse Hertz subjected me to because their car broke down. Most of the agents talked over me while I was speaking and refused to apologize to me. They spent most of their many hours on this case arguing instead of saying I’m so sorry let’s get a replacement car out to you.
Enjoyed the SUV, it was clean and fairly new. The hood popped up (although it did not come unlatched) and the wiper blades needed replacement (it was a rainy event for two of the four days I rented the vehicle. I did not care for the air-freshener - it was overpowering. Maintenance should check that the hood is properly secured after servicing, and wiper blades should be routinely replaced.
Very rude agent, poor customer service. Arrived at the counter about an hour before my scheduled pick up time but was told it was not a problem, she would just adjust the return time, which was not a problem. I looked at the rental agreement midway through my trip and saw that I was charged $32.95 for an extra day. The first car I was given had a check engine light and I was told I would get a free upgrade to a full size car for the inconvenience. I was given the same model car with fewer options. When I returned the car, the agent was questioning me about why I put so many miles on the car, and aggressively asking where I took the car...Unlimited milage rental means that is none of your business! Never using Hertz again!
If I could give this a zero I would. Your desk supervisor Mike had the most shockingly inappropriate behavior towards myself as a customer. I had called to ask about how to add a driver to the rental and he was short and rude to me when explaining to me that I would have to come in. I am trying to avoid all interactions with strangers as much as possible as there is a global pandemic happening so I asked if there was anything in place for those who are worried about covid and could avoid having to go somewhere in person. He responded again in a completely rude way acting like I was out of line for asking for flexibility. Now I understand why this is not an option but out of the frustration of the situation and how rude the phone call had been I mumbled to myself jesus christ and then said ok. Expecting that to be the end of the conversation, I was ready to hang up and I wouldnt have reported this incident but instead Mike decided to blow up at me stating I had just swore and he would not tolerate such behavior. I said Im sorry sir I have not sworn and he said that based off of his religion I was swearing and continued to shame me and lecture me about it. I said are you kidding me? and he continued to tell me that I was being unprofessional when in fact he was the one in the professional position and was being completely inappropriate to me by bringing in religion to a Hertz rental question. I cannot believe the audacity of this hertz counter and am complete utter disrespect of all of the employees. I will NEVER be renting from this company again. The only reason Mike thought he could talk to someone like that is because he is White and privileged and thinks he can talk down to people. GOOD TO KNOW HERTZ IS A RELIGIOUS COMPANY THAT DISCRIMINATES AGAINST PEOPLE WHO ARENT.
Thieves. I am a Platinum member with Hertz and rent a significant number of days with Hertz around the world. From time to time life happens and items get left in the vehicle. I left my $300 sunglasses in the overhead console of the vehicle I returned. Less than 30 minutes later I submitted the lost item form online and emailed and called the location several times, well before the vehicle was rented out again. Since the glasses were of value, they were stolen by either an employee or a contractor working on the lot. Let this serve as a reminder to never leave anything of value in the vehicle as it will be stolen.
I always have positive experiences at Hertz; however, I had one particularly negative experience with a Hertz customer service representative named Priscilla on Saturday. I was the only customer in line waiting to be assisted and she was manning the Gold Club members line. As I was the only person in line and her line was empty, I aaumed she only serviced the exclusive club members. I waited patiently for my turn as the other customer service rep waited on the person ahead of me (roughly 5 min.) After two customers went through Priscillas Gold Club line, she asked me how may I help you? Please keep in mind that Id already stood there for 5 min. when there were no customers in her line. So, I casually asked why she hasnt proved service to me before Good Club members arrived. She informed me that at any point that a club member comes, they are priority. In turn, I responded that Id been standing there before the others arrived. She exhaled in an exasperated way and said how may I help you? Completely overlooking my customer feedback. I found that to be very rude. At the very least, she could have offered any apology or said she hadnt seen me but instead she stood firm in her own explanation. Poor customer service. She informed me that I could leave a review online so I am doing my due diligence in acknowledging Priscillas poor response to a customer grievance.
Very bad dirty cars. Rented midsized SUV but given less than a sub compact size crossover Subaru. Charged for midsized SUV. Very bad service. Take it or leave it customer services. Dont care, we have other customers to keep charging expensive rentals for small cars attitude. Will not fall for it again. Will not recommended. Dirty with muddy cars.
I rent a car and after one day the usb input stopped suddenly and I used this function a lot on my trips instead of opening google maps on my phone I called hertz in albany airport they offer to replace the car for me and I went there I found the lady on the office she was very helpful even she offer me upgrade from standard suv to higher level with out charge me extra I was really satisfied with hertz and there employees really professional and fast I recommend for every one
Somebody prior to me had smoked in the car. I wouldve asked for a new one but I had to walk to the very end of the rental car lot to get this car. I figured I could tough it out but it was horrible. When I returned the vehicle I asked if they allowed people to smoke in the vehicles. The lady said all of their fleet is non-smoking which is what I thought. They shouldnt rent out a vehicle unless the renter knows someone smoked in it. You cant get that smell out.
Would give 5 stars but Im deducting one for lack of signeage for Gold Members at ALB to advise of the need to use the counter at the terminal before proceeding to the car lot.Second star deduction is for the condition of the car, scuff marks and paint damage throughout. Not what Im used to from Hertz in terms of vehicle appearance.I still think the Hertz Gold program with speedy pickup and returns are the best in the business
Nissan Rogue was very nice - drove well and economical.Had trouble understanding agent but we got through it.scratches and dent on auto when picked up but no one available in garage to report it to (midnight) and no 800 numbers would connect to anyone - had to call in AM
Had a Gold reservation for this location. Albany is supposed to be a ultimate choice location per Hertz website and also signage at location. According to the website all cars in premium upgrade are a flat 35$ fee added onto existing rental. After attempting to take advantage of this service the manager Matt attempted to charge me an additional $110 onto my existing rental. After explaining I would not agree to that and would keep my existing rental agreement Im now being charged an additional $12 per day.Stay away from this deceptive location until management is corrected. This is definitely a new issue here
Great customer service. They are great sales people without the stress. Once you say no to their offer.. they are respectful. However, I love their options for weather conditions and needs. I will be joining the hertz programs so i may receive a better position in line.. lol and better pricing, thank you.. no changes needed.. kept whats working... :)
Disappointed. I drove less than 75 miles and I am well aware I need to buy gas and provide a receipt for it. I took pains to gas up at 4:45 am at the station nearest the ALB airpot. There was no Hertz returns attendant on duty that early so I enclosed the gas receipt in the envelope with the keys into drop box. Nevertheless ,they charged name for gas at 9.99 per gallon and they have not responded to my protest
Smaller operation because the airport is small but they seem to have a better than average selection of vehicles. Its quick to get to from baggage claim, no shuttle or anything, same goes for returning the car. We saw a charger, Camero, pickup truck, and a Jeep all available.
Excellent customer service. Friendly helpful staff. A very positive experience every time I visit this location. Always quick, easy access to vehicle drop off and return. They make it a a very positive experience. I would travel 100 mileage out of the way just to use this particular location. THANK YOU for making travel easier on the customer. 👍👍👍👍👍
I flew into Albany. Unfortunately, they are not set up with the usual Gold Member service. After having to stop at the counter inside the terminal everything else went fine. Vehicle was clean and filled with gas. Check in went fine with two associates standing there when I entered the facility.
I rented from Hertz just over a week ago because it was the best price for 8 days for a pick up in Albany and drop off in Boston. (Still, the rental was more than my flight from Albuquerque; car rentals are ridiculously pricey.) When I picked up the compact car upon my arrival in Albany at midnight, I did the usual inspection of the exterior to look for dings but because the light was low and it was late, I did not notice a few signs of pre-existing damage: the front right bumper had tape (yes tape) binding the bumper to the car in two places; and the back seats had water stains and serious wear and tear on the floor. Even if I had noticed these defects, there was no Hertz representative in the parking lot or when exiting to report it to. When I dropped the car in Boston I pointed out the defects, and was given a receipt for the anticipated amount of the rental. However, time will tell if somehow this damage gets tagged to me, in which case I will take it up with the right person at Hertz. One last thing: the car had more than 34,000 miles on it, which is pushing it. It also had Florida license plates, so obviously a lot of miles had been put on it from that trip alone. The car was not the usual spiffy rental with low mileage and free of pre-existing damage.
There change in policy was not communicated so if you have a debt credit card and no airline ticket they will no longer allow you to rent a vehicle. They lost my business and many in the Albany area. There new terms and conditions was not present at the time of me booking the rental. Im going off to their competition enterprise.
I frequently use this Hertz to get cars to go to Dutchess County after flights into Albany airpot. I frequently use it late at night, close to closing. The staff is still super helpful into the late hours. The car selection is good, and it is really easy to find Hertz and its cars once you have de-planed. I will certainly be using them as my go-to when I travel to Albany.
My husband waited in line 3 times because 2 of the checkout ladies had no idea how to help us. His last name changed after we were married. His maiden name is still on the card that Hertz charged. Even with a reservation number....they can’t seem to help us! REALLY! 😡
Almost as good as the hybrid I had booked, and good for headroom, as we are a tall family. The car drove well up and down mountains in Vermont, through huge rainstorms, ... but sounded like a lawnmower at one point. The lovely Moslem Hertz rep. in her peace symbol Hijab headscarf at the Rental Return in Albany NY was SO helpful and professional. Really made my trip pleasant and saved me from my poor packing and need to redo the bag. Her serene smile is my impression of Islam, not the hate of the recent atypical Orlando shooter who took advantage of too few gun laws and enforcement. 2nd Amendment is about regulating militias, and providing security for all of us, wherever we travel. Freedom to travel is essential for Americans. Most Muslims one meets are kind.LOVELY rental, cute red Acura, great handling on wet and cold Vermont roads. THANKS!
I am a Gold Club member and even spoke with Hertz the night before my arrival at Albany airport to confirm. To my dismay when we arrived and checked at the Hertz desk ( you cant just walk out to your waiting car like at other airports) there was no pre-printed packet with my keys. The agent had to manually enter all the data and print the ticket and search for the keys. Not a good showing for Hertz in Albany.
Worst customer service and experience. The lady at the counter hid the $45 underage fee from me when I asked her why the bill has gone up this high. She is not helpful, so I called customer service and they are not helpful too. This is my first and last time renting from Hertz
This place does not deserve even 1 star, 3 incidents in 1 day. Went to Albany airport to exchange the car because the car they gave me in Albany fro lodge st smelled horrible. Once i reached the Albany airport to exchanged the vehicle I was treated bad by a gentleman name MIKE. I told him i need to exchange the car and he asked me if i had a agreement on me, i told him its in the car and he said I need to have that on me all the time because if i get pulled over i can be detained Really? is this how you talk to customer? Then he advised me to go to a garage and pick up the car. I saw cars parked so i decided to park behind other cars, My car was the second one. Once again MIKE approached me and said this is not a parking place, Move the car I told him if he can just watch his tone which was loud and rude, And instead of apologizing to me he said WELL ITS COMMON SENSE THAT YOU SHOULDNT PARK YOUR CAR THERE THIS IS HOW HERTZ TREAT THERE CUSTOMERS. I CALLED TO COMPLAIN 4 TIMES AND REQUESTED IF THE MANAGER CAN CALL ME BACK, AND HERE I AM STILL NO CALLS YET. ITS BEEN A DAY. CLEARLY THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CUSTOMER SERVICE, EXTREMELY RUDE. OUT OF 4 CUSTOMERS MIKE DECIDED TO COME UP TO ME AND TELL ME I HAVE NO COMMEN SENSE. I TOLD HIM I DO NOT LIKE HIS APPROACH AND ALL HE SAID WAS I DO NOT CARE ITS UNFORTUNATE THAT I HAD TO GO THROUGH THIS.
This location has gone downhill unfortunately. I rent here quite frequently and I’ve rented from this location for many years. I have too many things to say. I’ll be here all night trying to tell all that has happened. Just don’t expect excellent customer service :( and do expect ridiculous rates !

2022-04-28Great experience! The “check-in” process, so to speak was a breeze! Same goes for the checkout process. Both employees were awesome and were very understanding and good when it came to answering questions or getting the job done. I rented a 2022 Chevy Suburban Z71(“Extra large SUV”) as a President’s Circle Hertz gold rewards member. The truck was clean, well-equipped and practically brand new. Very satisfied with the overall experience despite what some of the reviews say.

2021-10-12Never will I EVER rent from Hertz/Dollar car rentals again. Upon getting to our hotel 200 miles away we opened the trunk to find maggots, yes maggots all over our luggage. I had no time to get a new car rental so I had to clean out all the trunk space so our items would not be soiled. Utterly disgusting and poor service when talking to hertz about the issue.

2022-06-140 Stars! When they checked my vehicle back in, they entered the incorrect airport, incorrect vehicle, and incorrect date. I have incurred toll fees and speeding violation fees which was automatically deducted from my credit card because one of your associates made a mistake when entering the return vehicle. Nobody from customer service or the Albany International location has assisted to resolve the issue. Each time I try to call the location, I get transferred to a voicemail. Once a guy answered, yo. Then realized I was a customer and hung on me. Extremely frustrating to continue to call around for help but nobody is willing to resolve it. Will never rent at Hertz again!

2022-06-07They dont tell you up front that if you dont have a flight, you cant rent a car here with a debit card. This is their rule...yet the manager couldnt give me a reason why this was their rule. It doesnt make any sense and is ridiculous. On the app, it said the deposit would be 200. At the pickup location, they said the deposit is 500. And they wont take a debit card... HAS to be a credit card for whatever reason (they dont care if you dont have a credit card). They wont take a debit card which is ACTUAL money linked to my bank- a credit card is not real money. And I assume they wouldnt let the car go if the charge didnt go through anyway so theres no reason for this, but trust that Hertz is the worst!! One of their moving trucks hit me years ago and they denied my claim before even assessing the damages and didnt do anything to rectify the situation until I blasted them on facebook so here I am again.

2022-06-05I will NEVER rent from Hertz again!! Car needed an alignment, the rear view mirror kept shifting- I had to keep putting it in place, there was absolutely no navigation, music didn’t work via aux/Bluetooth etc. Just a horrible experience. The staff are lazy as hell and rude. Not to mention- the car was filthy from the outside to inside. NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! I do not recommend this rental company to ANYONE! Family & Friends discount or not, I won’t be renting again from Hertz!!!!

2022-04-03Very impressed with Chris the manager at MCO international airport Hertz car rental, he saw the size of our family and all of our baggage he upgraded us to a nice size minivan. We had a very long drive back to Upstate NY since our flights had been canceled thru Frontier when we were at the gate😡. I was so impressed by Chris and how he treated us!!!! Great guy so polite and made us feel so much better about our situation.

2022-05-17THIEVES! Zero stars if possible! I had a prepaid rental which I had already paid for prior to pick up. When I arrived, a gentleman who was on his phone while helping me messed up my reservation, put me on someone elses reservation which created a whole mess. I was given an upgrade as a sorry but things got worse. Upon returning the rental, there were 4 employees, 3 of them standing around on their phones while one was helping customers. I then received an invoice for $400 - charged 99 cent per EVERY MILE. THIS IS STEALING, my agreement states UNLIMITED miles. Very unprofessional staff, Hertz as a company are a bunch of thieves. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!

2022-03-17The agent at the counter never mentioned about fuel options when pickup, then charged the fuel after return.Filled up the tank full 5min before arriving the rental car return. When calling the local customer service, she said the tank is not full, lying for the money, will definitely dispute the charge and never rent from Hertz again :)

2022-04-12TLDR; I was FORCED to drive a car that has no HONK, bad tire, with my two kids, in the night!!! I lost the whole trip going back and forth to hertz and car shops, that I planned for 6 months with my brother and his family, who came to visit us from UK!!! I got reimbursed the rental cost with $50 discount on my next rental.Worst experience ever, not just rental cars. I rented a car from Albany, NY, a ford suv, to visit Niagara. After an hour, our passenger-side back tier started loosing pressure. So, we had to take several stops to refill the tire, costing us our first day plan.Next, after reaching there, i called the emergency, asking for help, either to change the tire, or help us change the car. I spoke with “Quiedra” and “Carman (1082)” at 1 in the morning. They said there is no spare tire (!), and I have to go to the nearest hertz and exchange the car. They assured me that the nearest hertz (Buffalo airport, NY) will be keeping a car for me, maybe not a suv, at 10 am.Next morning, I drove 1 hour to go the buffalo airport (refilling tire pressure, it was flat). The manager there said, they do not know anything about it, there is no car for me!!! The manager asked me to come after 3 hours to exchange the car! This time, I asked her to write down her name, and that I will be receiving a car when I return (attached). After 4 hours, I called hertz, some “other” manager picked it up, and he said there is no car coming today, and he doesn’t know anything about such requests!!!So, I went to the nearest Firestone to fix it by myself. The store didn’t had any tires of that type. What is more, they found out that the HONK WAS NOT WORKING!!!I had to get back to Albany. So, drove that car, without Honk, refilling air pressure every 2 hours, with my kids!I arrived safely. After talking to the manager at Albany, they refunded the whole amount (thanks) and said sorry.
