Rented a car from here was a horrible experience. Dirty filthy not COVID ready taillights not working Was told could not exchange nothing they could do drove to Florida bring pulled over twice for lights. Came back spoke to owner he wanted to do something for us next time never followed thru. I have been texting and calling with no response won’t ever go back to this place
I have been to multiple Hertz locations, and this has to be by far the best one. I travel from Brooklyn about an hour and a half while there are other Hertz locations much closer because of the service I receive. Sherif, the manager of this location, was very professional, respectful, accommodating, and, most importantly, honest. I left an iPhone wire in the car when I returned it accidentally, and he called me to let me know it has been put on the side for me to pick up. I would recommend going to this location.
The manager at this location- the Egyptian guy- and the other employees treat people very well and do their work with excellence. I wish businesses all around the world learn customer service techniques from these people. I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to rent a car. Herts Huntington!!!
What’s with all the hate they’ve been nothing but great to me. I rented about 8 from this location last year and three box trucks. Never had a problem. My family was down a car and we needed to rent one each weekend for about 8 weeks. Customer service was kind and respectful and always willing to drive me home after the rental. We had one small problem and it was taken care of swiftly. And they gave me an extra day AND A nicer car because of it. So that was cool.
Its the best location i ever had by hertz, the staff there are vary nice guys - great service, they help out with every problem, they have good cars, clean and fresh for reasonable prices, it was a great experience with this location, I would definitely recommend to rent a car by this location, especially with sheris who gave WHITE GLOVE SERVICE! With a friendly smile!
Worst customer service ever.. No professionalism. Guy at the counter was changin his socks when he was talking to me!I rented Large sedan car and paid extra for that online , and they gave me a tiny buick, when i explained him the situation he said that he has nothing to do about that while he had 6 other big jeeps waiting outside...Cars are dirty and wondering why no one was wearing a mask there!!Bad management! Never again!!!
Staff was very friendly, not sure about the negative reviews on here but had a good experience. I reserved my car online, when I came in to rent the car they marked on a sheet the dents/scratches on the vehicle already. Returning it was just as easy as the renting process, everything went smoothly and didnt have to pay more than what I was told I owe for my reservation. Again staff was great!!
ThesePeople are unprofessional and there cars are dirty also the $1000 hold is Ludacris, I am still waiting for my money after 9 days after I was told 5-7 days, if they didnt use the Hertz name I would call thes folks scam artist,Their phone line is a Joke , please stay away go to avis or enterprise.
These people are terrible... The manager Richard is unprofessional and offers no explanation for his employees actions. Rather he says, I cant speak for them and does absolutely nothing remediate the situation. My father-in-law tried to rent a car and was quoted an amount for 6 days. We went to pick up the car and decided that he will only need it for 4 days. They initially tried to be sneaky and hand him the paperwork with the same unadjusted price (because there is a language barrier). Once he noticed, they then refused to adjust the price stating that it will be the same EXACT amount because the weekly rate is cheaper than the daily rate... Really?? Seriously??? So we decided not to take the car and they said they cannot provide a receipt indicating such. Instead, that he should see a refund in 3-5 business days... So we should just sit and wait. A bunch of crooks! Absolutely disgusted.
Pleasant staffers who just cant seem to get the job done. Car had a safety issue and when advised, they claim unable to swap it out, try their other locations...unless you want to pay a upgrade fee of course... for several days of attempts...mind you im already paying a daily fee to walk away in case of damage to the vehicle but one does worry about innocents being hurt while tempting fate and trying to get a replacement vehicle....RUN dont WALK away from these people.
Abide by these rules and heed my warnings if you rent from Hertz from this location. There be perils and pitfalls within.1) Negotiate your rate in advance before you sign anything. Once the rate is entered into the computer, the computer will lock your rate in. Returning with a discount code later is futile. The computer has spoken and the rate you accept is the rate you will pay.2) Do not sign the electronic pad. You are deceived into thinking its just an ordinary pad which captures your signature for the credit card. It is not. When you sign the pad you accept the rental agreement which you have not read.3) Ask for a printout of your contract before you sign. Look for the daily or weekly rate. They will write it as a cryptic rate code. Ask them to write the dollar amount on the contract, not some encrypted code which could mean anything.4) If you are unsure about your return date, give them the minimum number of days you will have the car. The computer can only make extensions to your contract. The computer cannot reduce the number of days of the rental. If you tell them 1 or 2 days, then return the car 23 hours later they will charge you for 2 days. The computer can not be changed. It must then go through the manager. Tell them you may need to extend your contract if you are unsure but always tell them the minimum you will have the car.5) Get your pick up time and return time in writing. They might tell you the computers are down or the connection is off line. Bring your offered rate in writing. Visit the website in advance and print out any prices which might be less. Ask what discounts are being applied. Leave with your dated return receipt in your hand. Be prepared to fight the charges and keep copies of everything. Be prepared to go elsewhere.6) Your cell phone has a camera in it. Use it. Document any dents or cracks in the glass. Take the business card of the person signing our your car. Take a picture of them if they left their cards at the other location.7) On top of all this, learn how to rent a car - know what the insurance waivers are for, what are your gas refill options, your rate for mileage, can you take the car out of state, etc. Assume your car is tracked with GPS and a microphone so all your activity is recorded.
Needed to Return the car early, Asked about a credit or refund, No willingness to help. Told me to call corporate after more than 1 hour on hold told me that only the local branch can do it. When I called back the local branch they refused. I am a gold member rented for many years all over the world but they just do not care.
Like others have said, look at your bill before leaving they will add stuff without suggesting anything. They will lie repeatedly, car was not ready at the reserve time and after waiting an hour they try to screw me with additions on the bill. After I caught their scam they try to blame me saying I had reserve all the additions, when I clearly had the papers that said what I owed.

2022-06-25My small business uses Hertz’s weekly and Peter Manager at Hertz’s Huntington has gone over and beyond to ensure our van is ready weekly for pickup, clean and on time. The transaction weekly runs very smoothly that allows me to focus on running my business. His team provides great customer service and I will only go to Hertz even for my leisure rentals.

2022-06-27I rented a cargo van to move some furniture last week. I noticed the rear tire was nearly flat and asked the attendant to put some air in it. Apart from being filthy inside, I drove off thinking it would be fine. Unfortunately I had to stop several times to put air in that tire which was extremely degraded by tire rot. In was an extremely unsafe vehicle to drive, especially for a cargo van. Very disappointed. I would not rent from Hertz again knowing their vehicles are completely neglected and not maintained properly. The supervisor was supposed to call me and never did.

2022-07-01This is just a joke we traveled from ct spend about $250 to get a rental this place aint give as a email cancelation or something to said we dont have the cars available any more , no a call or heads up , very horrible place and the guy nasty and kick us out

2021-06-11Good customer service nice people until i turned in my vehicle and it was time to pay my Bill. They refused to honor an advertised promotion. I called first to mention it never received a call back had to call multiple times. The person that I first spoke to never bothered to contact me back or address my issue.

2021-04-27So I rented out a car using the uber driver program and it told me that I can use this location. The staff was helpful in answering any questions I wanted to know. During the winter storm I used to car with no issues for 4 weeks ( which is the max ) . I paid my $770 and life went on. Two months later Hertz charged my credit card for another $711 in plate processing fees for the time I had the car in my possession ( plate processing charges your card if you go over a bridges and toll.)I never not once ever used any bridges or tolls . My proof is the uber driver program documents where and when you work . Honestly if Hertz can charge my card with inaccurate information what does that say about them as a rental company. It’s a shame I can’t post or upload my proof so people can see why you shouldn’t use them as a rental company .

2021-12-13This is absolutely the worst place I’ve ever rented from before. They have so many hidden fees not to mention they billed me for someone else’s tolls I had to email them several times before they even took care of the problem. Absolutely horrible customer service. Do not go there unless you want to pay for someone else’s tolls

2020-06-23Thanks god that I didnt read the reviews before I reserved. I have no idea why they got only 2.8 stars in overall.I picked up my rental today, Jamal who served me, made sure I get a car I am satisfied with, was extremely nice and went out of his way to make things work despite an issue with the rate plan.I see that many of the complaints listed in the negative reviews are corporate related. This specific location is an excellent choice to rent from!Will definitely come back!

2019-07-25Rented this car for less than 48 hours. They charged me for 3 even though they acknowledged checking the car in at 8:54 before the opening of the 3rd business day. Seems like an easy fix, right, as the auto was clearly not touched by me the third day. The manager explained that that I was charged calendar days. But again, I explained she just told me the car was checked in BEFORE the store’s day of business.Not only that, they now had the ability to rent out the same car that day, making twice the profit. Clever scam ....The manager, took my info and said she would look into it and call me back. Over a week and a half later, I called back since she clearly forgot. She simply stated again that I can charged by calendar days. Complete apathy. Lesson learned, Hertz blew me off at this location, at the managerial level, but also via corporate in email. They’ve lost all future business from me. Hope the extra day was worth it.The corporate office may be addressing the issue.
