I have came to this place since I was little, I’m 20 now! I now drive an hour to eat here. I have tried many Chinese buffets in different locations and I still say this is by far the best one! They have amazing food, the sushi is fresh and that’s rare to find at a buffet and the service is great
This restaurant has always been one of my favorites. Whenever I have gone there, the staff from the waitresses to the management have always gone above and beyond to enhance my experience. My boyfriend and would dine here frequently before the Pandemic and have ordered take out during. Their protocols regarding the pandemic have put customers health first. There was even a time pre-pandemic where my boyfriend and I came in rather late, and they offered to cook all fresh food even though we were probably the last customers of the night. Love this place.
This all-you-can-eat buffet was cleaner than many. It was a split on enjoying the food. My husband did not like it, I thought it was good add my daughter was in the middle sharing that some things were really good and other things werent as good as other places weve been.
Place is called habichi house buffet due to covid you would of had to call for them to order buffet special for takeout .... not the first time I ordered him I just attempted to order for takeout and the guy says we dont do that anymore you can come do it yourself...well sorry lol didnt mean to come off wrong but food is decent just have to be very specific will not be going here again they just lost a satisfactory customer all cause common sense never really ran far with the mindsets of these workers should be embarrassed to call yourself house buffet 😅 WE DONT DO BUFFET TAKEOUT WHAT !!! ???
If it was my choice I would have put a 0 rating because the food was cold bad english and could not understand them they would point at my daughter and i and and it got to the point that we barely understude that they were talking about us and after the first plate of food that was on a paper plate with plastic forks that was also cold they tried to give us a bill we got the manager and he had offered to microwave our food and they had put plastic rap over the pans with the food on it and it made the food dry out and turn cold and the had placed us in front of a big trash can full of trash and to me I do not believe that it is sanitary and we had to where gloves when we were up getting are food and when we were eating.and ignored us when we first asked for the manager and no Im not a karen I just prefer my food warm and not cold and they had also expected us to pay full price for the food and drinks after all of that this is really not the place that you want to eat at and they are disrespectful.
Food is good. Sometimes the staff are rude. Already been treated badly two times. The next time I go with my family I am going to ask what is there problem? Also, the staff tend to sweep up the dust and dirt from the rug as your eating. Sometimes you have to wait for drinks and be sure to tip properly. I used to enjoy going in the past and it has done down hill in customer service. You have one or two plates and your check is on the table. Then you see the wait staff waiting for you to leave. Checkout isnt too friendly.
This used to be our favorite place to go for lunch. The last few times we have went the quality of the food seemed to decrease, today it was absolutely horrible. All the food was cold crunchy and and the waitress was extremely rude and basically threw your drinks at us and no they were not busy. We will be going to mt. fugi for now on.
Our first time here and we were impressed. Everything looked clean, there was a large variety, and I enjoyed every dish I tried. Thats saying a lot because I usually try a little of everything and find a few weird dishes at these sorts of places. There was even a good selection of sushi I wasnt familiar with. I really liked the seaweed salad egg pocket things.
My favorite Chinese place. On weekends it is busy so the food is always fresh. The sushi is very good for a buffet and the service is decent. For the price you just can beat it. I only ate lunch there once and it seemed like they were serving reheated leftovers from the night before... So stick to dinner on Friday or Saturday for the freshest selection.
Horrable experience! My son cut his mouth on an improperly cut chicken wing bone. Shrimp was so drynitveas hollow. Gen. S chicken was orange chicken. Everything was overcooked. Like leftover. We left without eating more than a Few bites. Waitress was rude son was Cashier.
Was one of the better buffets but has gone way downhill over time. Tonight just tipped the scales and made it where the trip to Albany is worth it. I have never seen be so rude as tonight. My kids wanted to go out for my birthday ok great they were not busy but grom the lack of plates being taken from the table you would think the place was packed. They put ice in drinks that should have no ice, they did not refill any drinks, but hey they only came to the table after seating to bring the check so even with my son trying to get their attention for a refill was a waste of time. My one daughter did not eat anything she drank half of her soda and I asked if I had to pay for food she did not eat was told well you didnt tell the girls so you have to pay. Ok fine I will pay for food that was not eaten, but when you ask if I left a tip for the girls are you kidding me the service was awful, the food was either cold or not refilled, the whole dining experience was not worth what I paid and trust me with 6 adults and 1 child my Bills are never cheap. My recommendation go to Albany get better service and tastier food. Not sure what happened to this place but definitely not for the better.
Some food like the dumplings was under cooked and other food like the hibachi chicken was so burnt that I could not ear it. When I brought it to the attention of the staff two different people told me that was how the Habachi chicken should be. When I showed one of them they smelled it and said well that is too burnt but then did not even bother to change it out. My fiance ended up getting sick off under cooked dumplings. I have been here many times and the flan for dessert was great but very disappointed with most of the other dishes. This was my first and last Tuesday going to the restaurant.
The homie at the vape store down the road suggested this resturant.. He deff hit the nail on the head when i asked about the best place to eat around here because this place is the bees knees. 5 out of 5 stars because i cant put 6 out of 5 stars. Definately comming back.
I went there the other day and I went up to get a meal , And the chef behind the counter refused to make one and tried to shoo me away, I persisted he made me the meal I asked for, because this is his job, and he then told me to shut up. Long story short I got the manager to come out and I got my meal, but overall the staff are rude and I do NOT recommend this restaurant, the food and service is not worth $25 per adult.
This place discriminates against people with disabilities who are partnered with Service Dogs. Ive dined here repeatedly through the years with no issues with my guide dog and diabetic alert dog, until recently. The last several times I was there with family/friends the waitress tried seating us in a far back area away from other patrons. Today was the last straw. My niece and I both spoke with the owner/manager and he basically laughed and said it is a courtesy that he lets me in with my dogs in the first place! He said dogs not allowed and said it was a courtesy that he lets me take my dogs out from under the table at all and go near the food. I told him its not a courtesy, its the LAW ... he cannot segregate me/my dogs from other customers. The Americans with Disabilities Act protects my right to be ANYWHERE in the restaurant where other patrons are welcome, that includes walking up to the buffet to get my food with my dogs with me. Its sadly very common with Asian-run restaurants that this ignorance of the ADA law exists, but ignorance is not an excuse! I tried educating this man but he just laughed and would not listen.
This was the second time dining here and compared to the first time we were disappointed with the quality of the food on the buffet. The General Tsos chicken tasted funny, the coconut chicken or small hard crunchy pieces, crab rangoons where overcooked, there were some delicious small clams that were cooked deliciously. The buffalo chicken wings looks good but tasted different due to some kind of seasoning or marinade. The Boneless BBQ ribs were delicious along with the fried rice egg drop soup and the mussels. The fried dumplings where are rubbery and very chewy. The tapioca pudding on the dessert bar came from a can and tasted so and also the ice cream scoopers where in containers with water that was dirty from ice cream without being change frequently enough. Not sure if were going to return that soon due to having to leave a lot of food on our plates unable to eat. The tea was good.
Service sucked got there at 8pm with just three adults and most of the food was gone and they werent refilling anything they waited until we made plates and just stirred around the food by the time I got to the table and sat down food was already cold and I mentioned it to server and she say oh sorry place really false advertised on there website more like a wack Chinese buffet nothing great tried for the first and last time.
The Hibachi House Buffet offers a very nice sushi buffet, lots of room at the tables, with music that while it wasnt very asian inspired was still very interesting. The staff was always there to take your dirty dishes away, bring refills on your water, tea and/ or soda. The plaza this Chinese buffet is in is currently going though some renovations, which will hopefully bring them more attention as it seems they are never that crowded no matter the day or time.

2022-06-17Chinese buffet was not bad at all! Overall, I thought it was a 7/10, but definitely clean and some of the dishes were very good. Highly recommend the coconut shrimp, Mongolian pork, and green beans. There is a good selection of food; 5 “buffets” of food. Seafood included were cold peel-and-eat shrimp (shrimp cocktail), raw mussels on the half shell, and mini clams. I avoided raw mussels, but the other seafood was fresh and good. The buffet also includes sushi and maki rolls - I didn’t think the actual sushi fish looked fresh, so I avoided it. But the rolls were all cooked, except 1 tuna roll, and all of the rolls were very good. You can also order seafood boils for a separate price, including crab legs! They also have an option to make a custom fresh rice or Lo mein bowl/dish, and that is included in the buffet price!Staff was very nice, and were cleaning throughout the time we were there, keeping buffet stations clean and food refreshed if needed. Our waitress refilled our drinks appropriately, and actually offered to take our bill up to the front for us, which I appreciated. I left a good tip.Fresh fruit, and a few dessert selections are available on the buffet. Also 8 hard ice cream flavors to choose from! For $15.99, definitely worth going on occasion. We will come back!

2022-07-18I came in at 11am. The food was all ready and they had a nice selection. The restaurant was clean and well kept. They did offer Salmon for lunch. $12.95. The Sushi chef seemed very experienced and put out a very colorful selection. I thought I would take pictures while no one else had come in but the manager told me not to.

2022-07-22If I could give no star I would. The carpet is in DESPERATE need of deep cleaning or replacing. A small group of us (5 total) came in for early dinner/late lunch. Most of the food available was dried out due to being there since lunch rush or the trays were just empty. I told our waiter that I wasn’t going to eat, I would simply just sit and drink my soda with friends. Well the check comes and sure enough, I was charged for eating. So I brought the check up front and said “I didn’t eat anything because what I wanted wasn’t out. Also, the check needed to be split.” (We were all paying separately and told the waiter when she got our drink order. Strike 2 in my book). It only gets better… I brought the check back to our table and we began counting out payments. Some of my friends needed change back. We sat patiently and waited for the girl to come back with their change. She never did. I pulled her aside and said “excuse me ma’am but we didn’t get our change back” she replies in a NASTY tone “oh we took as tip, time for you and friends go now”. At this point I’m down right MAD and I don’t regret telling her “Welcome to America. When we over pay you bring back the change. THEN we decide to leave you a tip.” In total she took about $10… which we would’ve given her that anyways but she was probably worried a group of teens wouldn’t pay tip well. My friends and I will not be back.

2022-05-05I was very excited to find a Chinese buffet in Amsterdam with such great reviews. Unfortunately the food did not live up to the hype. I was appalled at the meager selection of stale and greasy offerings. The meat was stringy and full of gristle and the rice and vegetables were both cold and congealed. I left hungry.

2022-04-05I really enjoy this place. It is my go to place for eating out, they have a nice variety of both hot and cold food both Chinese and American. They also have a great Sushi bar. So glad that they are open again.
