We stayed in the permanent RV Trailer for two nights in order to be part of a wedding at the party house. We had an excellent experience staying here. The grounds are beautiful with lots of trees and wildlife in and around the water. There is a small playground perfect for little kids. Theres also a pool. The trailer we stayed in was clean and very well equipped. The staff was helpful with all of our needs. We will definitely come back if we are in the area again.
The staff were all very courteous and very warm and welcoming. The whole made a great venue for my friends wedding, and the food was superb! Its restrooms were accessible from both outdoors and indoors and were very well kept.
If you dont golf, this is very overpriced for a campground with almost no amenities. The pool is nice. You have to walk 2k feet to get to it. There is one playground. It is very far from most of the sites.
We were here for a wedding. The lake setting was breathtaking and was a great outdoor venue. The building for the reception, however, was unbearably hot and humid when it was only 75-78F outside. The cash bar option was also extremely overpriced; a 3oz glass of wine, so about half an actual glass of wine, poured from a $7 magnum bottle was $5.
The infrastructure necessary for the campground was not in place when we stayed there. The office was not too helpful in directing us to our site. Also, the service and food from the clubhouse linked with the campground was not too good. When I mentioned infrastructure, this mainly refers to toilets and showers.
Sour cream was left out too long and made me sick. The meat was not cooked properly. Usually the food is great. Two at our table were just getting served while the rest of us were getting our dishes cleared.
Just spent the Memorial Day Weekend, Had a great site so when we got settled in went to the camp office and booked same site for the weekend after next, paid cash & got a copy of confirmation. Had a nice weekend even know there was no WlFi in the new section & the new bathrooms were not done or useable. As soon as we got home today we had a voice mail from Hickory Ridge that they had just booked the site we had paid for to a permanent camper and we will have to pick another site. We will not be doing business with someone that has that kind of business ethic! CAMPERS BEWARE!!!!!
Attended a wedding at Hickory Ridge. The foliage and stream on the property were a beautiful backdrop for the fall wedding. The food was just okay, typical buffet food. That being said, the bartenders were wonderful and the overall experience was great.
Attended a high school honors dinner. Pitchers of soda at the tables. Food was served buffet-style, servers called tables up quickly and efficiently. The food itself was great. Good venue for a large group event.
We didnt stay at the RV resort. We played the golf course. It was very well-kept. The snack shop was out of our first choice, but what we had was good. It was an enjoyable day.
Were staying at the campground here. Its nothing like the pictures on their website. We are pretty much in the middle of a parking lot. The posted speed limit is 5 mph but is not enforced and the folks on golf carts fly thru the place.
Had an awesome season here in 2018. I have already reserved for 2019. Friday fish fry , golf, nice pool. Staff extremely helpful. Other campers are friendly and respectful.
We love it here. Close to family and friends. We have learned to use satellite TV as cable requires going to get a box and wifi that is listed is rarely available, that is frustrating. But, quite, clean and friendly staff.
Was at the hall for a wedding. Set up very well, good lighting and a veryargw fireplace. Food was good and whole event was very well run. Would recommend this Hickory Ridge for an event

Nice size sites freindly helpful staff willing to go the extra step to satisfy. Good food for Friday dinners. A definite go to place hoping to be back again before end of yr.
Terrific golf course with plenty of variety and challenge! Holds up in terms of play with courses that are far more expensive! Love 17! By far my favorite hole as it has a bit of everything!
Sites are very nice size. The quiet wasTwas relaxing. The office was very helpful. Had lunch at the clubhouse and it was excellent!!
The food was decent but the staff was spread too thin for brunch. Has plates sitting in front of our party for some time and water was refilled once in over an hour without my going to the bar myself.
Quiet campground, easy access, all full hookups. It has a large lake with fishing and boating. The pool is well-kept but a bit small. Tons of liability waivers to sign.

Played a charity event on thebeautiful 18 hole course. 4 man best ball. greens were well kept and staff was very pleasant.
I was only there checking out the lodge as a possible wedding venue. The water right behind the lodge is beautiful, and with a few updates and renovations the lodge could be a 5 star destination.

Hickory Ridge RV resort and golf course is a great spot to get away to. The course is in great shape and the campsites are great and provide full hookups for campers.

A few years ago it was $18, huge sites, full hookups & included 18 hole golf with cart. Wow

2017-07-02Attended a wedding reception last night. Everything was lovely. The lights strung up on the ceiling were so pretty. The tables were nicely decorated with the chairs covered and tied with bows. The food was very good as well. Staff was attentive and close by if there was an issue or need. Very nice venue for a medium to small party.

2021-05-31The staff are amazing. Quiet, clean RV park, with nice, level, well appointed sites. If there are any problems or concerns, the owners are helpful and they are very friendly. The restaurant and bar are an added amenity. Great food and good times with occasional live music. The golf course is decent and fun to play. We come back several times a year!

2021-10-18Beware of cancellation policy. My husband golfs and stays here every year. We planned a fall family weekend this time and had to unfortunately cancel 5 days ahead. We were told we would be charged the entire amount for not being there. The nice spots we booked will likely fill before the weekend comes and in that case they are double charging for the site. Never heard of such a strict policy in our years of camping!

2021-06-07Pretty place, we came here last year and enjoyed golf package with camping, the pool and little play set for kids.. But this year, pool was not open yet in mid June, play set torn down and no golf packages. It was close to 90 each day and with no pool or shade it was not worth the $50.00 they charge per night. Wont be back.

2021-08-05Great little campground. Didnt use any of their amenities, but everything looks very well kept. Bathrooms were kept nice and the cute little store was very well kept. Staff was very friendly and we had a wonderful weekend!

2021-07-28This is the worst campground to go to hands down. Ignorant staff, store use to open at 8 now its 11and they say they cant answer phones or do the store because it takes 3 hours to open the pool. Biggest waste of money. Golf course was great though

2020-11-09My wife and I had our wedding there in July 2017. We did a Christmas in July theme and the staff was exceptional! Wendy, Lisa and Cindy were amazing and helped so much to make our day be so wonderful and memorable!!! The food was fantastic and compliments to the chef.

2019-06-21Very difficult 18 hole golf course with a nice pro shop! Multiple banquet facilities for weddings, reunions, etc! They have a nice bar with decent prices and a patio that also has a bar/ window to order drinks from. They offer Fri evening dinners cooked by a top notch chef.èo If youre looking for a weekend getaway, they even have an RV park.

2018-04-25I attended a dinner at the hickory ridge resort. The setting was beautiful, parking was ample and the food was delicious. The serving staff was very attentive and friendly. The only problem I saw was the lack of lighting in the parking area. I would highly recommend this resort for any function.

2018-08-16Was there for a work related lunch. The venue was beautiful. Rustic, yet elegant. However, the food was mediocre at best. No real imagination. In addition to blah, the wraps that were served as the main part of lunch left a lot to be desired. They ran out of ham and cheese wraps, so I opted for the vegetarian wrap. It was soggy and tasteless. I certainly wouldnt recommend this place for food.
