Delicious breads/pastries are all baked in-house in their basement bakery. Dinner is delicious — recommend the salmon entree and the labne dukkah/flatbread appetizer to share. Service is super nice / attentive! Get a reservation for dinner hours.Go for brunch (earlier if you don’t want to wait) and order the Bodega Breakfast Sandwich (eggs, cheese, sausage, chipotle mayo all on the most incredible homemade biscuit, served with the freshest deep fried breakfast potato wedges).
I really enjoyed breakfast here, so Ill have to come back for lunch or dinner sometime soon. The pastries really stole the show, and I cant recommend the black sesame Kouign-amann enough! Of course the pistachio croissant and cinnamon cardamom roll were both fantastic as well, and well worth the calories. We also tried the Jersey Girl which was delicious, and even gave me a pang of nostalgia for the porkroll/egg/cheese of my youth (but this was much more... elevated).
Quite good new American food. Loved the duck with cranberries and kale. Steak frites is coated in an addictive salty sauce and frites w/ Old Bay seasoning. Order the bread and butter. Unbelievably good warmed fresh bread baked in-house served with honey butter.Bread to go is wonderful as is their pain au chocolat.
With restaurants like High Street on Hudson, who needs Per Se?Seriously, absolutely everything at this place is fabulous. I had the best roast beef here. Scratch that, it was the best beef of my life. The only bad thing I could think to say is that the Shishito plate had too many Shishitos on it.
Ordered the potato and artichoke pizza. Food was tasty and service was great!Went back the second time a few weeks later. This time I was with my toddler nephew who was being a bit fussy during the meal. The staff was so kind and accommodating and they made sure we were take care of. They even offered warm milk to my nephew. I was very impressed with their service. Again, the food was exquisite!
I had the “Jersey Girl” sandwich. It was very good, but a tad too salty. The egg was done properly and the bagel bread was a bit chewy. The service was very slow; I waited no less than 20m for a reasonably simple sandwich. As anything else in NYC, this place is a bit price-elevated.
If you’re going to spend $90 per person on dinner, you want great food, good service and a nice atmosphere. One out of three is disappointing. The food is really good, all the appetizers and mains we had were delicious, and the cocktails well crafted. The service makes no sense. Every server is friendly but each has responsibility for every table so you are asked multiple times whether you need anything, often within 60 seconds of the last server asking you. You end up feeling pestered. And the room is meh, it signals more of a fast casual vibe than fine dining, and there is music apparently only for the staff in the open kitchen, it does not carry through the restaurant itself. All in all, a shame because as I wrote earlier, the food is delicious.
This is the sister restaurant to the popular High Street on Market in Philly. The food feels classic but with a fresh spin. Breakfast here is amazing, and if you come early you can beat the crowds. The egg sandwiches are a good way to go since the bread is baked in-house daily and is excellent. Theres a takeout counter inside for to-go orders, where you can also pick up coffee and a selection of pastries. Great atmosphere and great food!
Came here specifically for the Bodega sandwich. It was good, but not great. The sausage, egg, and cheese part was cooked to perfection but took a backseat to the biscuit, which was slightly dry and far too heavy on the sage. Also, service could be improved. The host appeared to be highly inconvenienced by my request for a table for one, despite the fact that they had a completely empty bar and several open tables, and my server looked like he’d rather be eating dung than interacting with me. Not a particularly pleasant brunch experience overall, but will probably stop by in the future for their excellent pastries.
Came here for brunch with a friend. The service was attentive without being overbearing. The burrata salad with grilled peaches was OK. The peaches aren’t really in season any more so weren’t great.Mains we had were the fish tacos and spicy chicken sandwich. The fish tacos were pretty stingy and the cabbage was shredded so finely than it was more limp than crisp. The sandwich was decent but nothing special.Drink pours there are also on the lighter side.Overall while the atmosphere was pleasant for a catch up with a friend, the food left a lot to be desired for the price point.
The food was great. We sat outside and the service was attentive. It only lacks 5 stars because that day they ran out of their house-made bialy, and they only told me after my gazpacho came. They made up for it by bringing me some other bread on the house, along with some sweet house-made butter.
What a fantastic place to get pizza and brunch! We went last week for dinner and had such a great time. It was a cold and rainy night and this place was exactly what we wanted, a nice cozy place to get some delicious pizza! Definitely coming backing again and again!!IG @traveleen_gurl
This place was a great find for a cozy brunch spot to celebrate my mother’s birthday. The staff was great - especially the Corrine, the hostess! Would recommend visiting. While the food was good, the ambiance was better and felt clean and located in a great place on Hudson street in West Village.
The discrimination we received at the door was so shocking its quit funny actually. There is no one outside at the time, not a dog, not a fly no one ! My colleague and I proceed to see if we can get a table to have a quick bite. The waiter comes out with his handy dandy tablet and proceeds to tell us if you eat outside we will need the table for 6:10pm. Which leaves my colleague and I less then 45 minutes to eat. How is that possible ? no one is outside at the time ? I didnt know trying to eat at a restaurant has turned into a game of musical chairs. The tone of the waitress starts to change and he is very condescending and proceeds to tell us there isnt no other options . There was a open reservation that my colleague made right in front of him and he is still giving us less then 45 minutes to eat. I politely tell him thank you and proceed to go to another restaurant. I just came back from one of the biggest NYFW shows and wanted to discuss a business matter. How embarrassing to treat people like this not knowing how well connected myself and colleague was. You would think restaurants would know how to treat potential customers after loosing thousands of dollars during the pandemic. What a disgrace to the neighborhood and city of NYC .
Sat outside on a nice day, and the outdoor seats are quite nice, especially with some shade or a breeze from the river a few blocks away. Was a fairly good brunch, with some unique menu items. Bloody Mary was ok, and my friends Rose Prosecco was good, but a bit of a small pour.
When we asked the waitress to clean the egg stains on the table for the second time, her response was that she’ll put a plate on it. Then we had to keep our hands off the table to avoid getting stains on our cloths while we waited for about 20min to just get a bread board. Disappointing experience.
Stopped in last minute with family at 9pm. They were able to seat us at a quiet table in the back. We ordered one of everything because we were a large group...everything was delicious. I would also recommend adding the wine pairing! A nice surprise in an area with many dinning choices. We will definitely return.
The restaurant is really known for their Brunch, but we reserved a table for 4 for Dinner on a Thursday night. The Appz and Entrees were excellent. This is our second time at this restaurant and without hesitation, we would recommend the Chicken Liver Mousse and the Skirt Steak. The bread at this place is amazing, all made in-house. To top off the whole dinner, we had the salted caramel chocolate and the raspberry/coconut sorbet. It was packed with so much flavor, both desserts. The service and staff was very attentive. The restaurant was laid out with an open kitchen, so you can see the chef/cooks prepare your food. Very cool!
Ran into this restaurant on a Saturday night with 2 friends. They quickly accommodated us to a comfortable table. The menu was simple and had every option possible for a well rounded American dinner. The food was fresh, flavorful and yet simple. I ordered the chicken and it was so moist and perfectly crispy on the outside. I can’t wait to recommend this restaurant and come back in the future.
Closer to 3.5 but we couldn’t quite give it a 4 mostly based on value for money. Came here because it was a bib gourmand selection but I don’t think it’s going to get a Michelin star anytime soon. The service was good, server was knowledgeable, friendly and unpretentious (although he just recommended a lot of pasta). Food preparation was solid but lacking in finesse (everything but the endive salad was slightly too salty). Rye flour fettuccine was over cooked but the idea of using smoked flour in the pasta to compliment the smoked lamb ragu was a nice concept. The ricotta gnocchi was puffy and light, combined with the nuts/toppings made for a very interesting texture balance which we hadn’t tried before but again ruined by the saltiness. We kept having to order more food as well, just had a hard time getting full.
9.16.17 - Pretty good and the service starting from the hostess to the wait staff was great! The grilled macn cheese was almost there, but we compared it to the Ace Hotels grilled cheese, which was amaze-balls. We ordered the Bodega, which had a great flaky biscuit and a nicely cooked cooked. The meat patty was nicely done as well, which made everything come together per bite. While waiting for our table, about 15 minutes, they were kind enough to serve mimosas, which was a nice unexpected touch, so I have to give it to the staff for showing how much they care about their customers. All in all, its a good brunch spot and well have to come back to try a few more things on the menu.
This is a good solid meal. I might have even given it a 5 star review but I tried one of the bagels that people are all about these days and wasn’t wowed. It was a good bagel but it wasn’t quite right. There are other bagels in NYC that are a great consistency, great flavor in the dough, and great flavor fo the type of bagel. I just thought this one was fine. My friend and I came for lunch during the work week around 1:30PM. There were many tables full, but plenty of tables to sit at which was nice. They asked if we had a reservation, which we didn’t have and didn’t need but I imagine more towards noon, dinner time, and on weekends this place gets pretty packed so I recommend doing that.
Stopped for a light dinner and we were really pleased with their olives and wonderful fresh baked bread. As a main we had the Japanese style mackerel which was delicious. Wine was equally delicious (went with a dry Riesling) though somewhat pricey. Have to say that’s probably the only complaint though.
This review is for a brunch experience, their dinner is better. 18$ avocado toast: fresh multigrain bread was very tasty, everything else on the dish was not: way too much onion in the avocado, too citrusy and the egg was overcooked. Asked for a fruit side and got a bowl of about 6 berries. $6 for that one. One of the most overpriced places in West village for brunch compared to what they offer. Service was good.
Our visit on April 13, 2018 was a five star visit! Great waiter, excellent cocktails and superb food and detail. Our visit on January 12, 2019, was a two start visit. Waitress couldnt make one cocktail due to lack of ingredients. (Take it off the menu or tell us about it when you hand us menus) food was ok, nothing great. Mushroom pasta was cooked well but lacked flavor and the mushrooms were too big for the dish. (I know that sounds pick but it ruined the dish) fried chicken was weird. Overly crispy skin and underwhelming temperature in the center. Well definitely be back but maybe not until spring.
The breakfast sandwiches were the best. Theyre different from your typical sandwich, they reminded me more of a hamburger. The flavors are very distinctive, everything is prepared with lots of core. I cant compare this to any other sandwich Ive had before. The portions arent too big nor too small, but for sure, theyre super tasty. The atmosphere is very nice, the place is clean and the service is friendly. The pastries look great, but I didnt get to try them, yet. Gets pretty full on Saturday even before they start serving brunch.
What is the deal with this place? I had read an article about their bagels on Eater and figured Id give them a shot. What a terrible decision that was. It took forever to actually get the bagel, and when I finally did, it was so disappointing. The bagels are tough and chewy and the chive cream cheese was full of old chives. It definitely doesnt stand up to Murrays or Brooklyn Bagel. It tasted more like some Midwestern interpretation of a bagel---definitely not a New York bagel. Also, the pastries were a let down. The cinnamon cookie was dry and not worth the calories, and the croissant was flaky, but lacked flavor. I dont get the hype. There are so many better places to get bagels and pastries, so I dont plan on returning.
Amazing food: bagels, pretzel croissant, fried potatoes, and brunch!! However, the wait created by poor hosts/hostesses is disgusting. We ended up waiting for ~1.5hr!! The hostess said only 30min and buzzed us back to say our table was ready after 40min....just so that we could wait another ~45 min in the crowded restaurant.
Excellent service from the hostess and waiters! They are friendly and professional. They will not seat a party until at least half of your members are there so make sure you time everyones arrival- especially since hot items like the baked goods and gluten free options sell out before noon daily. The actual food is simple with tiny portions but excellently seasoned and filling!Try the chocolate croissant and you will not be disappointed.
I like the atmosphere here as well as the food. Their poppy seed buns are very tasty.Servers can be a bit slow. I was in a rush to get to the airport and it took a lot of time until they started serving me (~15 minutes). Once service started, everything was quick. Food came out within 10 minutes and the check was even faster.
Staff is knowledgeable, accommodating, and well mannered. We had a baby with us, and all was very comfortable and attended to. The varied food choices on the menu are interesting. Plates are medium sized -- order multiple and share. Big wine selection. Visible, open kitchen space.
Highly recommended by friends. Im going to make it short.A DISASTER !! Party of 4 outside at 7pm on a quiet Tuesday night . The waiter came a 735 pm to take our order. To apologize for the wait he offered a croissant or a cookie! Appetizers arrived around 8pm. Then waitress came to clear the table and asked us if we wanted coffee or desserts. We told her we were actually waiting for our main courses. Later, one of us had to look for her inside to order more wine because she was too busy laughing with her coworker. In her defense she told us he was helping her bringing her anxiety level down!! The main courses arrived around 845pm. When the check arrived she told us that her coworker had generously comped the bread and butter! They usually charge 6$ for it. We got a good deal, I suppose.Staff and management (if there is one) are CLUELESS. We will never go back. The food was ok.
No wait on a Sunday morning, however some of the seats for two were literally on top of each other. The waiter was attentive. The food was great but my boyfriend and I started not to feel well after eating it... sorta like the feeling after you eat chipotle.. you know. The Forager ($13)- 4/5 This was quite small for $13 but it still satisfies. Everything was perfect- the cheese and egg was the most delicious part though.Old Bay Fried Potatoes ($5)- 3.5/5 They put sauce on the inside of the bowl but I could barely get any taste of it. I would have preferred it if they had it as a dip. These didnt taste much like potatoes though, they tasted more like crunchy fried stuff, since the pieces were so small.
Like the feel and decor and general vibe. Hostess great, seated promptly. Waitress was very nice but room for improvement. Gem salad and squash were both terrific but the fish for our entree was undercooked and a little bland and the sausage broccoli rabe pasta was soupy and had teeny bits of sausage. Well be back to try again but they could definitely do better.
Great food, bad service, such a shame! Dishes looked great and were very tasty, I would have given 5 stars on food alone. Waitress was nice and polite, but definitively having a off night. We didnt get plates picked up after appetizers and when the food came it got messy. We asked for more water and she brought bread, which of course was added to our tab even when we refused it. Furthermore, we sat on the last booth close to the kitchen, it got hotter and hotter as the evening progressed. By the end of the meal I had a burnt neck and I was sweating! I would give them another try, the food was that good.
The pastries here are out of this world!! Get the Kuign Amman and you wont be disappointed! Bagel platter with whitefish salad was delicious! Only downfall was that they didnt have English Breakfast tea. I have had the Earl Grey/Espresso/Honey drink and it was very good.
Came here with family for brunch. They have a laid back atmosphere with outdoor seating, the decor is rustic, homey. I had the Forager which was very good, with fries and two glasses of mimosa, and a latte at the end. Each one of us had to pay about $65 per person, which seems ok as we had a good amount of food. The service was ok, although they did forget the eggs one of the person I was with ordered. The waiter was very nice, but seemed very busy. They gave us a pastry on the house, I guess to make up for forgueting the plate mentioned above. Overall not the best, but also not the worst. I liked the food and the service was ok. Try it one time and see how you feel, especially in warm weather when you can sit outside.
I had the Bodega sandwich with a side of Hash browns. The jalapeno infused bisket used for the sandwich was great. The sauce complemented the sausage and eggs well. The hash browns were cooked to perfection. However they left more to be desired. And didnt feel like they were worth the 6 dollars. The staff is very attentive and works hard to make sure you are satisfied.
What a big disappointment! We came because a friend of mine told us its one of the best place for brunch in town. We expected to have a real brunch with a proper service. But yeah, what a shame, we came in at the door and had to order quickly then pay before we can sit down. We already felt like we are at Mc Donald or Burger King. Food was very average, 0 service. So at the end of the day, I dont understand why this place is so over-rated. There are must better places in town.
Love this place. Friendly staff and many options for brunch. I always tend to get their poached eggs with seasonal veggies and agua frescas. Never a disappointment. Has become my go to during the day for lunch and afternoon coffee since it is the perfect place for those that freelance that need to get work done. Id come more if parking wasnt such a pain (meters during the day and side streets).
Review is for breakfast.Breakfast, you order & pay upfront and then seat yourself. I had the Bodega breakfast sandwich ($13) which was too salty/spicy (only ate about half) it came with more hotbsauce on the side and they made me a custom lemonade, which was great but $5.That being said, the place and people were nice, baked goods all looked amazing, and there were a lot of people there who lived/worked in the area.Just dont think Id be a regular.I would go again though and try a different item, maybe the lunch menu.Update: Their management cares about customer service and food quality. +1 🌟
I came here for a party and it was a group of about 20. We took up the entire center tables which were counter height. The downside was the lack of space between the tables and the seating behind us. Everytime someone in the party stood behind their chair, they had to move aside for the waiter/waitress to get through. The food was really good but a lot of bread. Another downside was their bathrooms. There were only two bathrooms that are unisex restrooms. I would come back to try their lunch menu. The area is also really nice to be around in.
Good food and cute restaurant but with an open kitchen that will make your clothes smell like your cooking! The food was definitely enjoyable and the service showed class. I would recommend only eating her if he doors/windows are open, or if you don’t care about your clothing smelling like butter and steak.
Ok so I hosted a bottomless brunch event here today and it went very well until the end. One of our guests asked for a bandaid and was denied one from the manager (lady in a green dress). Then at our last 15 min our glasses were being removed and not refilled. So when I asked for a final round just for 6 people out of 20 people in our party, I was charged 80 bucks after. This place is horrible. It wasnt our servers fault but the mindless managers. I saw our server ask the manager about this and she shrugged her shoulders and basically said who cares. When we do bottomless brunch we always ask for our final round for our table. This place sucks. Food was amazing but the fact that I had to pay for a last round for a quarter of my party and no accommodation for any misunderstanding was unprofessional and very disappointing. I have never experienced such service. Our reservation was at 2pm and ended at 4pm, at 345 we stopped being served or even approached. So when I asked for my final round why did I have to pay?Should all customers yell to be served a final round? Should we just expect to over pay for half service?
Our group of 4 ordered the sourdough, Labne, brussel sprouts, gemelli, bucatini and skillet chicken. It was almost too much food for us and we all thought the brussel sprouts, labne and chicken were the best options. The pasta options were a little uninteresting, specifically the gemelli it needed more flavor or spice. Overall, we had a great experience.
So apparently I pocket starred this a one star. It was completely a mistake. It is a fantastic place for brunch. Great service. The everything bagel was everything along with the fish. Sorry for the pocket review - but I fixed it. Yall might be one of my fav spots weve been while in the city. Happy Pride.
Great Atmosphere. Ruben, our bartender was so friendly and accommodating (we showed up close to the kitchen closing and they didnt make us feel at all bad about it). The Cocktails were so well made and the food was so delicious. We accidentally came across this place and so glad we did!
The high reviews online did not really represent our experience. We were first asked to order and pre-pay at the counter near the entrance before taking a seat. A bit weird but ok I guess... The sandwiches we ordered were just ok. Good quality ingredients but average execution; taste was a bit bland and dry. Service was extremely poor, virtually non-existent, waiters hardly acknowledging us, asking if everything’s alright or checking in if we would’ve liked a dessert or coffee, not even a goodbye upon leaving the restaurant after our meal and leaving our tip. I feel this place is trying to be something it clearly isn’t, bordering on being pretentious, and in my opinion overrated based on my own experience today.
The menu here not only looks good on paper but it also delivers in reality. The food is creative but still so very comforting. Each element is flavored well and when combined will make your tummy so happy. The hash brown is crispy but still so potatoe-y. The biscuit is has a nice crunch but so tender inside. The sausage is savory and just exploding with flavor. And all of this deliciousness is served with a smile.
Sadly a real disappointment after reading such good reviews. Perhaps a one off bad day.Service was slow and inattentive from the get go and the food (both had the Meatpackers) was a let down, bone dry bacon, bone dry ham, more bone dry ham (ran out of sausages), bone dry bread, giant bowl of roast potatoes.Oh and it took about 25 mins to get coffee.Could do better.
Had dinner this at restaurant multiple times and loved most of them , but recent experience was a major disappointment ..While were having our appetizers our guests realized our waiter never served bread so we asked, his reply was: Oh do you want some more?He also kept on asking if he can take our plates away while were still eating , a major NO .I dont understand the rush when the restaurant was not even half full.Food was ok, could be better.Whats with the LOUD music?Bad service. The only pleasant experience was the Maitred , shes very friendly and accommodating as always. Not sure If we will consider recommending this place anymore and wont be coming back in the near future.
Amazing service and food. The staff are so welcoming and engaging. I love the focus on American wines and recommend the Albariño and Dry Riesling. The food is spectacular with great flavors. I highly suggest the tempura broccoli, brussel sprouts (stracciatella), bread & butter (Yes! The butter is fabulous), octopus, and carrot cake for dessert!
Overall we had a great time. The food is really special, I like the family style dinner, where you can try a little bit of everything. We were specially impressed by the steak tartar and the seaweed pasta. Just a small setback: My husband and I came with a reservation for an early dinner during a blizzard in January. We had a reservation for 5:30 and we ended up arriving around 5. We couldnt take a walk around the neighborhood to kill time and come back later because of the inclement weather so we had to wait standing even though the restaurant was empty. I understand that the staff was still preparing the room for dinner time but almost nobody made it to honor their reservations and well, we were there. Not even sparing a couple of chairs or stolls (we were having tea at the coffee shop area) seems discourteous to me.
5 stars for High Street! The food had so much character and the pastries were a must have. I repeat - DO NOT LEAVE THIS PLACE WITHOUT A PASTRY. Our server Beau was as sweet as can be and made it feel more like breakfast at home than a bustling brunch in NYC. Definitely recommend!
If you are looking for breakfast or brunch in New York, High Street on Hudson is definitely the place to go. This place has the best egg sandwiches. My personal favorite is the Bodega, which comes with malted breakfast sausage, spicy coppa, roasted broccoli rabe, old bay fried potatoes, farm eggs, on toast. It is wonderfully prepared and so filling. The bagels here are also top notch. I recommend going for the beet cured salmon bagel. I can not think of anything negative to say about this place, other than that you may have to wait 20-30 minutes to be seated. This is the best hangover food in the world. Everything on the menu is hearty, greasy, and massive. You will definitely want to take a nap after eating here.
Pros: there was nothing bad to say about breakfast sandwich I got. The kale was done perfectly, neither woody nor mushy; the mushrooms were succulent; and the bun was somehow both ethereally fluffy and substantial.Cons: that sandwich cost $13.If youre willing to drop the bucks for a good breakfast/brunch, thisll do.
Related to the High Street restaurant on Market Street in Philadelphia, High Street on Hudson was a pre-concert destination for four of us. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The space - pleasant. The wine list - different and interesting (we had a noir gamay blend). So far, so good. As for my food, a mixed blessing. High Streets take on fish and chips (they aint fried, folks) - interesting. The crispy broccoli - nice. My porchetta (pasta)? Pieces of the pork were so salted that several bites went to my napkin, rather than my stomach. Disappointing.
High Street on Hudson is known for their baked goods and just moved to NYC territory to claim their fame. While the baked goods taste good, I feel it is priced higher than usual. The to-go counter is a little cramped and uncomfortable, so its best to really take it out and eat on the run. The restaurant looks like a cafe space, no-frills and they are still ironing out pretty much everything.
Man, I really want to rate this place highly hut they brought me the wrong food. They were so busy with Sunday brunch that my first opportunity to tell someone came ten minutes later and I was too hungry to wait for the right dish to be cooked up and brought. Im not rating them down for that, Im rating them down because I didnt like my sandwich, pastrami and corned beef hash. (I dont like pastrami in general, which is why I didnt order it in the first place.)
I cooked for this company at our Philadelphia location High St. On Market and I couldnt be more of a fan even after my time with them ended. As a customer Ive never felt ignored or disappointed when I eat at Hudson. Great to know that the quality expands across two cities.
Came here for a work lunch. Theres not much option on the menu. Just about everything is made with an egg as the protein and thats it. I mean it was so frustrating to find something I could actually eat. I was surprised at the good rating, seeing as how many choices NYC has and how average this establishment was.
HS on Hudson mixes fresh preparations of vibrant vegetables and fruits to offer a really diverse menu of unique dishes - one of the most inventive dining experiences in NYC, especially at this price point. I suggest leaving the decision making to the kitchen staff for dinner, if you have the time (and they will make substitutions if you like). Favorite items on the menu include: The Breads & Spreads (not to be overlooked), The Smoked Gnocchi, and the Happy Valley Beef.
Well, not really what I expected. Maybe if you are asian you would probably like it. Its was not my taste, the sandwich was hard to bite on, the rice bowl was cold, the bloodymarry hat too much horseradish. The only thing was good was the mashed potatoes. I wont go there again.
Table for three, and we shared three different appetizers, pastas, and main courses. (We all elected the three course pre-fixe.) Tops for us were the octopus as the appetizer, duck ragu for the pasta, and chicken for the main course. Will definitely return to try the other dishes.

2021-12-18Very good French Toast. Nice bread, fresh red fruit. The only complaint I have is the coffee. Not much option and the coffee was almost burnt. Otherwise the food is fantastic. The service was excellent and the place is very cozy.

2022-02-06Had Saturday brunch here with my brother, we had the mushroom omelette and the homemade biscuit sandwich. I thought it was pretty good, but not my favorite

2021-10-05Come for the cocktails if youre in the area, but I must admit I was very disappointed by the food :-/ My friend and I were excited to try this place, cant wait it was all that great. Its a pricy Chelsea place, but unfortunately the food was a little stingy for what we though we had. The tacos were underwhelming...coated with a mayo, unripped single slice of avocado and nothing to write home about (or pay the Chelsea price). And my friend got the chicken - again, underwhelming and floating in a salty sauce. Im not one for writing poor reviews, but given the hype and price and they usually have a good brunch, this was not their best dinner.

2022-05-22If I could give less than one I would… food is not the greatest. The service is much worst and inattentive not to mentioned they don’t really care who they’re serving. Extremely disappointed to come here instead of the other restaurants in the area. The overall rating is overrated in my opinion…. will not be coming back to this place in the future.

2022-04-24Food was great. Service exceptional. Tuna tartare was the highlight. Would definitely go back.

2022-05-26Surprisingly better than what the menu looks like! Menu is not very creative, very standard (boring?) fare. But the execution is much, much better, leading to this place being excellent value for quality. Amazingly had to book for a 10:00am Sunday, but indeed it was full by 11:00, so beware. Coffee machine was broken down so cant comment on coffee...

2022-02-16We came for happy hour. The waitress said beers were $5. We were charged the full price of $10 per view. Unfortunately we were in a rush to get somewhere else and we did not take the time to look at the bill and just signed for it. I called high street on Hudson but I could not leave a message. Who has time for this?

2022-05-12I selected this restaurant for my fathers birthday based on a recent article in Time Out NY. Nothing in the article was there. No bread service and to boot, we got a brunch menu which means if you dont want eggs at 3 p.m., then slim pickens for you. Staff was excellent however.

2021-06-10Perfect little cute spot for adult beverages and snacks. Super comfy outdoor seating. Moscow Mule, oysters and guacamole and chips hit the spot after walking around the West Village on a hot and humid summer day.

2022-04-10Came here on Friday evening and it’s crowed. Reservation recommended if you don’t want to wait. The NY strip steak medium rare is cooked to perfection! The branzino filet is good too but I usually prefer the whole fish. Grilled octopus is good also but small appetizer plate.
