Charging people $12-$15 for a bacon egg and cheese is highway robbery, I never paid attention to the price I pay because we always order so much but I ordered one sandwich, and it was that much. That’s ENTIRELY TOO MUCH. We won’t be back, and I’ll be telling all my friends and family we referred to no longer go here. I could’ve sat down at a local diner for cheaper and it would’ve included a tea, juice, home fries, a meat, eggs And toast. UNBELIEVABLE
Nice people, but the bagels are not that big, don’t give you that amount of cream cheese where you need to scrape it off on the parchment (quintessential LI bagel), and the veggie cream cheese is basically all red pepper which is disgusting. please focus on the bagels & cream cheese before you start dabbling in cereal and unicorn bagels.
Very impressed with the cleanliness and neat looking cafe. The service is attentive an the coffee is brewed fresh. I will be making this my go to breakfast and lunch place.

Amazingly delicious bagels. I moved out of state and brought a bunch back to Texas with me after my last visit back home. Stuck some in the freezer and when I defrosted them they were still perfect! So grateful and glad to know about them! Everyone that works there is super friendly and helpful. Plus, they ship!
Donezo. Two weeks in a row I come in and spend 30 dollars on breakfast. I ask simply for the hungry man to be cut equally in half as my 2 kids share it. They cut it way off like 70/30 and I have a fight on my hands two weeks in a row. I called and tried to speak with someone. I went in mad that after I asked again, they did it again. The owner met me with hostility and told me he cannot cut the hero In half that is not how the hungry man is made. Im born and raised here. I know how it works. The owner came out and took pictures of my plates after I said I would review him here. Scary!! He also got in my face and screamed in my face charging towards me. Im totally shell-shocked. I was only ever nice to everyone here. To give a Mom such grief over this is insane. Never ever again!
We stopped in late to grab a bagel and this place was such a nice surprise. I am assured that the bagels are grade AA (Im not from the area and dont understand what makes a bagel good.) and restaurant is clean and comfortable. The staff were all incredibly kind and helpful and my burger was fantastic. I am now under orders to stop and grab bagels on my way home whenever I come through here for work.
This was our first time ordering from Hilltop Bagel Cafe. We ordered a bacon, egg and cheese hero, home fries, and the French toast bites with cinnamon sugar to share. The food was excellent and the prices are reasonable. The French toast bites...OMG!Update: Best olive cream cheese ever!
Great place great people. Food is really good. I know someone mentioned they are still closed to the public walking in but they have a large parking lot and are really quick with the curbside ordering. Call on your way and they will be ready by the time you get there they run it right out to the car definitely hassle-free.
This is my first stop in the mornings, they have great customer service! Very nice people, we definitely recommend. Weve had interactions with a really nice funny guy who we think is the owner. Always makes us smile.
You will find High Quality, Fresh Food here. Tuna Salad and Chicken Salad are Delicious. They have the most Unique Flavored Cream Cheeses you wont find anywhere Rainbow Cookie & , Pistacio with Macaroon are just examples . They change them daily so you would have to call. My only regret is that I didnt try this place sooner.
If your going to order from here call your order in. Was left waiting over 30 minutes for two egg sandwiches. Unfortunately cannot say these egg sandwiches were worth the wait
Major update: since my initial review I have gone to hilltop at least a dozen more times. Customer service has gone downhill, its non existant now. Wait times when no one is in there have skyrocketed. My order has been wrong almost every single time. I really wanted to like this place based on my first visit.Went here for the first time. Place is obviously on the newer side due to it being gorgeous inside. Very clean. Great customer service, extremely quick for how busy it was. Bagels were good. Breakfast wraps while on the smaller side were still good. Will be my go to breakfast place now.
Hilltop deli is a small deli that is just not my cup of tea. I went there with big expectations since it was a best of LI winner. The selection was very small and none of the dishes were enticing. I got the breakfast taco and a BLT special. The taco was a dry pancake and the eggs were ok. Nothing to write home about. The BLT was ok. The bacon was crispy and lettuce was ripe. Roll was a bit stale. And coleslaw was nit great. Overall this was a disappointment. One of the other things that was a disappointment was that you had to order from your phone or a staff member would come out to you and take your if they are free. So you have to get out of your car to look at the menu which is a few pictures that are small and taped to the window or the place. Het back in your car and call them. The staff members were very nice but they never knew who got what order. Maybe it was an off day for a Saturday morning at 9 am. However there were not many cars that were there. I will skip this place next time.
I had ordered through DoorDash just a salad and egg sandwich. The driver delivered my salad but left the store before getting the sandwich. I had called Hilltop just to have them credit it for the next time because I felt bad having them drive back out to me just for one thing. They instead came and delivered not only my egg sandwich but a free bag full of bagels which completely made my day! Hilltop’s food is always awesome but they really went out of their way for me and I appreciate it more than words!

The food here is absolutely incredible. Honestly probably the best breakfast sandwiches weve ever eaten.... on the off chance that they get your order right.... and youd be lucky to get your food within an hour of ordering...
I had to have my bagels delivered to Kentucky and they came next day. They were fresh, delicious, and huge. I made a wonderful lunch with their poppy seed bagels and because they are so thick the balsamic vinegar and juice from the tomatoes didn’t make the bread soggy. I highly recommend this bagel cafe.

Decided to try this place out, but terrible service and girl who took my order was very rude, instead went to bagels &co in Farmingville, better service.
I have tried Hilltop a few times and their curbside pick up is not efficient. You call to let them know you’re there and 9/10 no one picks up. I’ve spent 5-10 minutes just trying to get them to answer. When you get a hold of someone, they ask what car you’re in but employees just end up screaming the order names so you’re stuck waiting about 15-20 minutes. I had to ask an employee about my order to finally get it. On a seperate occasion I witnessed the owner yell and belittle one of the female employees while he stood there for 10 minutes having a smoke break and talk to a friend without acknowledging any of the other 3 cars in the parking lot. Hopefully they figure out their pick up system!
Don’t come here unless you want to get disrespected and laughed at and I found out nobody could read in there either don’t come to the store unless you’re ready to get disrespected by this clown
My cousin told me about this place and Im so glad I went. I just got back and needed to share what a great experience I had. Its beautiful inside, so clean and so cute! Everyone is so friendly and kind, and my bagel is delicious. Highly recommend!

The thing I love most about Hilltop Bagel Cafe is the customer service and feel of a neighborhood place where the owner knows me and is thankful for my business. Love that there are high school kids here showing school spirit and that our community is represented here! Great to have you in our town Rich!!!
New in town from the city and went here to get breakfast. Took a little bit longer than I would have liked but the young ladies were very kind and attentive and I guess I should have expected the rush on a Saturday but the cream cheese selection was out of this world. Great stuff and great kind owner Rich amazing guy!

Ive been coming to NY to visit for the last few years. i I get bagels everytime I come from different places and this is the best place Ive tried. Their food tastes so good and the service was amazing. So friendly and welcoming. This will be the only place I go from now on when I come to NY.
A wonderful place! Its a little hidden, but worth it. Its not just bagels, lots of sandwich choices, and they just started serving burgers, the bagels here are wonderful, and the owner is ultra friendly. A great place to stop for a bagel or whatever else you hunger for.
This is my favorite deli for sure. Rich is great and the girls are nice. My only thing is everytime I ask for honey maple Turkey, I end up getting regular lol. Its all good though still come back every weekend.

Im a bagel lover. The bagels taste GREAT, but they are a bit crunchy and hard. Should consider maybe a new method to soften up the dough a bit. Friendly staff and clean establishment.

Went in here randomly, not from the area and noticed an older guy screaming at one of his young female workers. Guys name was Richie, whether he’s the owner or just runs the place it was embarrassing and hard to watch him just steam roll his workers and speak to them the way he did with NO regard to who was there watching. The food was less than impressive and the place was dirty. That man should be ashamed of himself. Would give it ZERO stars if I could.
Order a 3ft hero, wings, and baked ziti for the super bowl which also came with two salads, a bag of chips and a 2$ liter soda all for a very reasonable price, everything was delicious!!!!! have close to no left overs. would highly recommend to friends and family.

Great find, bagels are tasty and enjoyed cooked eggs at 2pm. Met the owner who was personable and fared about my visit. Mollers is my go to olac ( for 25+ years) but they are closed temporary. I will go back to Hilltop.
OMG just came from Hilltop. I love heros, I asked Richie to make me something special they made me the best Philly Cheesesteak ever on Long Island. All the food I ever have had from them has been great. Even if you live quite far trust me its worth the drive. All the people that work there are very pleasant and they DONT keep you waiting like some places. Trust me when I say you wont be sorry you went to Hilltop FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY.

I called a few days before Christmas Eve to order mini bagels. I told the girl i needed 12 assorted but she was in such a rush to get me off the phone when i picked them up they were all plain and they couldnt do anything about it. This is my go to bagel store but not anymore. Very disappointing!
Went there for the first time today. Had no clue where the line begins or ends. Asked one behind the counter and she told me where i had to go. Waited on line only to be skipped right over. Bagels are very good tho. Just beware there is zero line organization and pay close attention or you will be skipped over.
Went to get some bagels. A beautiful young lady asked me what I wanted and I got a few bagels and some cream cheese. The bagels were still hot and delicious. Will be w frequent buyer.

Called this place twice over a few days in an attempt to have something sent to my family in the area. Left my information both times with no call back. I cant comment on the food, but I wont ever be eating there. I dont understand why they cant at least call me back.

Friendly owner, other staff not so much. Bagels themselves are good, cream cheese amount went down, and when I asked for four of my bagels to be toasted, they were burnt black. There was also some additional fee on the check.

2022-01-05This is my go to breakfast spot from now on. We recently moved into the area and have been searching for a place that actually cares about the customers and my my my have we found it. The food taste like it was made with time and care 😋. Loved the festive attitude and the atmosphere is of a grab and go happy place. Thank you so much for the time and love you all put into your craft. See you all soon. Im unique I always order a western omelet on a hero toasted with American cheese and bacon and now that we have tasted the home fries that will be part of my order from now on. Not to mention the ice tea is to die for. Love every bit of this place. Peace love and blessings to all.

2022-03-13Great local spot! Bagels are good, and the make some more unique flavors than other shops. Owner is hands on and staff is efficient and friendly. Breakfast is always delicious. Sometimes you even get an extra bagel or two! Overall this place is great to have nearby! My wife and I grab breakfast here at least once a week.

2022-03-25Stopped in a few days ago. Food was great. The ladies at the counter were helpful. Prices were a little high but thats everywhere. The sandwiches looked like they were wrapped by a little kid though. Presentation matters and ensures returning customers.

2021-11-09I eat here every day. The service is absolutely excellent. The bagels are GREAT. Its hard to find a good bagel places these days. Ritchie is personable and always greets me by name. Every employee greets with a smile and gives superb service !! The sandwiches are deliciousness and product is ALWAYS fresh !! TRY THE GREAT VARIOUS cream cheese flavors !!!

2022-04-03Hilltop has always been my bagel spot but the last time I went there is was all chaotic and unorganized. When I called my order in they explained it wasnt complete and had to wait. Waited for 20 minutes until I got asked what I was waiting on. Manager didnt even apologize for the wait. VeryDisappointing for bagel place we use a lot.

2022-02-14Do not support this racist place. The manager there is racist to black people. my boyfriend was there to pick up a doordash order. before he was even able to walk in the door, the manager was completely rude. my boyfriend told him he was there to pick up a door dash order and he refused service to him. he told him “you’re not picking up anything“ and grabbed my boyfriend by the arm and pushed him out of the store. It is so disgusting to see this kind of behavior especially coming from a grown man.

2022-03-12Hilltop is a bit of a hidden gem in Farmingville. They are worth a detour or a trip from a neighboring town. I can say their breakfast sandwiches are excellent. The bread is soft without being mushy or crusty. The eggs are exactly as ordered and they use patty sausage which is a big plus for me.Absolutely a must try if youre looking for a daily breakfast place for coffee or food.
