Hilton Club The Quin New York in New York
This was a terrible stay. My first room did not have any air conditioning. The second room had a view of the back with pipes, brick, and roof top debris. It was ugly. The bed was hard and the pillows were mush. This is supposed to be a 5-star, but was really a 2-star experience.I cannot recommend that anyone would stay here.
Such an amazing stay. The staff were super nice and accommodating. VERY clean. Loved the modern aesthetic to the rooms and all, bathroom was great. Starbucks and a market nearby, plenty of dining options, and central park was like barely two blocks away. Honestly made for a great stay in the city and would definitely stay there again!
Overall, this is a very nice facility by HIlton Club. Loved the location in mid-town, super accessible to great food and to Central Park. Our room was pretty nice and overall felt clean. Had a little trouble getting onto wifi sometimes, but once we did, it worked great. Staff was very friendly and nice. The gym in the hotel is also very nice. We would be delighted to stay here again.
The Quin is an amazing property in a prime location with a top-notch staff to provide any assistance one might need. It is walking distance to several amazing New York attractions and you can easily access multiple subway lines to get anywhere in Manhattan that you might want to visit! I mean, what else could anyone possibly want??? Absolute Perfection!
We had an excellent stay at the Quin. Very clean room each day, friendly and attentive staff, and close proximity to restaurants, Central Park, grocery. Easy to move around the city from this central location. Would stay again and recommend to friends. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Has not measured up to the Hilton standards I have been accustomed to. No restaurant, no bar, no room service. Would have stayed at the Hilton down the street had I known this location had very limited service. Also, a Diamond Medallion member, not offered upgrade. View of chill water cooling system....not really a view at all. Will not patron this location again.
Hello. My name is Jiwon Choi. I stayed at your hotel in March 2020 and left behind my scarf (brown colored with a check pattern) when checking out from the hotel on March 9th 2020. On the next day I made a call to the hotel and found out that my scarf was kept at the hotel. But unfortunately the hotel was closed right after I asked to send my scarf. I have contacted fhe hotel via email several times last year but the staff repeates saying that the hotel was still closed. When I found out that the hotel was reopen I sent another email to ask how to get my scarf back, but have not heard back yet. It would be much appreciated if you could check out whether my scarf was still kept at the hotsl and how I can take it back. For your information, I live in Seoul, South Korea. Thank you!
Whatever you do, when you check in, ask the person at the front desk if your room will have real windows, or frosted glass windows. Ours were frosted, which means that you couldnt see out nor could you get an accurate sense of weather. I think it had something to do with being on a lower floor, which I dont really understand given that were Hilton vacation club owners. It was a very gloomy experience and I wouldnt repeat it.
Very lovely hotel! The staff was excellent. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was gorgeous and the room was well appointed. The attached restaurant was also quite good. The hotel is in a great location. The only downside is the room with a king bed was quite small, but that didnt bother us.
The hotel is completely surrounded by scaffolding and there is no possibility to look outside the windows. There is always jut 1 elevator functioning; the other one is 24/24 under repair. Rooms are as small as one can make a bedroom: just enough room on both sides of the bed to shuffle sideways in your bed. Two out of 4 nights my room was not cleaned when returning to the hotel in the evening. Staff is arrogant, does not help support with problems. At prices of around 650 dollar per day I advise to take ANY other hotel than the Quin.
Elevator is secured, need key to get to your floor, but it failed to scan my keys almost all of the time. (usually had to get staff to scan to let me up, and even theirs had issues.) Room had a nonfunctional electric outlet and coffee maker. Staff kept an item that I left behind instead of turning it in to lost & found. Not coming back.
We chose this hotel to celebrate my Birthday and my Wife’s first time to New York. The first thing we noticed was the scaffolding around the whole hotel. There is no warning of construction work on the hotel. Our room was small and I can understand, but everything else about the room was Terrible. The carpet was stained and dirty. The a/c and heating unit sounded like a train going by. It would wake us up every time it went on. The mattress was horrendous. I’ve slept on roll away cots that are more comfortable than your beds. One of the worst parts was the windows were fully blocked and you could only open them about an 3 inches. The room would be completely dark 24/7 if you didn’t have the light on. I will not be returning and the staff can go if it’s up to me. Asked to move rooms and there was nothing they could do. When we checked out the staff just said sorry about our stay when I voiced my frustration. ****Complaint filed with Hilton Honors.
This hotel is chic and stylish and located in the heart of Manhattan near Central Park and Columbus Circle.I loved the rooms - modern and comfortable with plenty of plug points for charging devices. However, as a business traveller, there was no work station which made it frustrating to remain productive. Also, a false fire alarm went off twice during my stay, once at 8pm while I was in deep sleep after a 16 hour flight, and again at 5am the next morning. Both instances werent handled particularly well by staff. Generally, I felt staff werent very helpful and sometimes grudgingly courteous. Sarah the concierge was fantastic though, despite getting to work late. For the price point, there are better options in NYC.
The room was spacious and the location is great! Other than that, the overall experience was HORRIBLE. There was no hot water the whole 4 nights we stayed. The T.Vs in the lounge and bedroom did not work correctly. There is no room service at this hotel. We called for extra coffee and water, they took 1 1/2 hours to bring it to the room. The front desk personal was impolite, really didn’t care to help in anyway. We asked to store our bags and they told us to wait until the bell man came back to help us, when there was 5 people standing behind the desk doing nothing but gossiping about another guest. I guess it “wasn’t there job” to help with bag storage. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Prices should reflect the service they provide of $200 a night not 650$a night.
Huge disappointment. Prior to this wonderful boutique becoming a Hilton, it was a perfect 10. I have stayed here more times than I can count. Service was impeccable, rooms delightful and clean, great room service, fully stocked minibar. Fresh brand toiletries . Always remembered my name and often provided an upgrade. Not to mention a plate of macaroons. That is ALL GONE. It you want sparkling water you literally have to put on a coat and walk to Duane Reed. If you want a glass of wine I suggest bringing your own. The only peanuts you will find might be under the bed. Total rip off at this price. Sadly they have lost my loyalty after 10 years. So sad to say goodby to a great friend.
It is a great hotel. I stayed in a Premier King room which is a large room, more than I needed. The construction obstructed my view. There was a construction elevator right next to my window so during the day it was strange and affected my privacy, hence the 4 star review. Fortunately, my stay was on the weekend and I was gone most of the time during the day. Location is great and walking diatance to Central Park, Columbus Circle, Broadway, and Times Square. My friend stayed in the corner king and had a great view in both directions. We noticed some inconsistencies in the roomkeeping. It would be nice if there was hot coffee available in the morning or all day actually other than a machine in the room with paper cups. Bathrooms are very nice and the hotel is very clean; comfortable bed and pillows. Angelos Pizza, next door is excellent - more than just pizza, I highly recommend.
I stayed here a little while back and my entire stay was amazing. The rooms were really nice and clean, the decor is stylish, and the staff was nice and attentive. If I had to say one bad thing, I would say it was the view from one side of my room. There was another building directly blocking any possible view, but the window on the other side of the room made up for it.
Hotel is undergoing construction, the whole building is covered in scaffolding. Ok, no problems. But they’re actually doing construction at night too. My wife and I were awake from 1am to 3am listening to someone cutting metal. When we complained and told staff we wanted to move rooms, they basically ignored the request - no call back, nothing addressed. The solution the next morning was to throw a 15% refund or 50,000 points at me - woefully inadequate. While waiting for my car, we listened to multiple people complain to the front desk. Essentially, this hotel knows what they’re doing, and knows there will be complaints - they just don’t care. Given the cost for a 1 night stay, completely unacceptable. I can’t wait for my canned response from Laurie Del Sole to this review! Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else in the area.
Such a great hotel! This was our first trip to NYC and I am so glad we stayed at this hotel! The staff were always kind and considerate of our needs and the housekeeping staff do an amazing job of keeping the rooms and common areas clean! We did have an accidental charge on our room from the mini bar, but guest services took care of it immediately with no questions asked! Will be back soon!!
The Quin Central Park should probably change their Name to the Quin Hotel on 57th Street. Uber couldnt find them and Central Park may have been close, but there were no rooms with views the week we stayed there. Yes, COVID-19 was a variable, but other hotels in the area had opened up and were providing full service, not the Quin.
Love it. I have stayed in other hotels in NYC, but The Quin had checked every point on my list. Friendly, atmosphere, location and staff. Definitely would be staying here again. Room size was decent, I have stayed in a Deluxe room. Had an incident at the hotel, management were there to help and accommodate.
This is a very solid 4-star hotel. Dont kid yourself, its not a 5-star though. Here is a quick pro/con breakdown to explain myself.Pros.- Great location, right next to a metro station and Central Park.- Beds are very comfortable.- Provided youre on the right side (and high up as I was), the view is awesome.- The staff is very friendly.Cons.- Rooms are small, and their configurations vary greatly even if the room is the same in theory (Ive stayed here 3 times and all 3 times I got to same room. The configuration and size was different every single time).- The smart home panel is buggy. Forget trying to raise your blinds with a single press. You need to fidget around with it for 5 minutes to do anything.- Be sure to ask for a real shower, not a bathtub-shower in your bathroom. The bathtub-showers (like the one I had on my most recent stay) only has a very small pane of glass separating you from the rest of the bathroom. Because of this, you freeze and get water all over the bathroom floor if youre not careful. Now dont get me wrong, this is a very nice hotel and definitely worth staying at if youre looking for somewhere well located and comfortable. Everything is very clean and well kept.
Avoid this hotel at all costs. It’s undergoing mayor construction and most rooms have scaffolding on the windows. We made specific arrangements to avoid such rooms before we booked. Despite this, we where placed in one that had construction happening on the floor above. We were woken up at 6 am with power tool noise and heavy hammering. It should be easy for them to predict when and where construction will happen. This was a very disappointing experience.
This was an OK hotel, the location is wonderful but the room itself, upgraded was SUPER small. The windows were all blocked off completely making me very claustrophobic. Not sure if the windows are always like that, with film so you cant see out, or because of the massive construction outside of the window. This construction was LOUD though only during the day, at night you could however hear street noise when the very noisey though helpful to some degree ventilation wasnt running. I wont stay at this hotel again because of the windows, size of the room and noise, the hotel itself had a great location near the park, subways and Carnegie hall. For the price they charge Id rather stay a little further out and be able to actually see out the window.
Loved staying at this hotel. The penthouse suite is amazing. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Beds are very comfortable and the showers are fantastic. You get electronic control modules at your bedside to operate the shades and lights as well as the AC. Although you cant turn it on or off from these modules you can adjust the temp. But the ad module to turn it on is within reach from your bed. The attached restaraunt the Wayfarer is really nice. A bit pricey but the quality is top notch. The gym is very good. 24 hours access. There are plenty stores nearby including a 24 hour Duane Reade Pharmacy.
We had a wonderful stay at The Quin. An even more amazing experience happened once we had arrived home. My daughter had left her journal from our trip in the lobby and the hotel contacted us to let us know they had the journal. We were ecstatic to get the journal from our trip back. Thank you to the staff for a great first trip to New York for my daughter!!
I just took by 5-year-old granddaughter to the city for the first time. She was filled with amazement and had a wonderful time. The Quin was a key component of what made the weekend so enjoyable. It started with a warm welcome as soon as we arrived. No pretentious behavior like many 5 star hotels, but doorman and counter associates who were warm and welcoming. A nice touch was the door bell ringing shortly after we checked into our room with the offer of a stuffed animal for her to have! Since the staff knew from check in why we were in the city, several of the employees made a point to ask my granddaughter how her day was going or what she had seen. I would highly recommend this hotel. A great location just two blocks south of Central Park, made it easy to walk around mid-town. The room was clean and well kept up as you would expect. We would certainly stay again and be happy to recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller boutique hotel with great service.
Nice place to stay at, close to Central Park close to Time Square. Beds were very comfortable. When we arrived we met a guy named Mathew who was the greeter. The Quinn is very lucky to have a guy like that working there. I heard other guests bragging about how awsome he was. Other then that the hotel was decent. Nice and clean. Nice Gym.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Quin. The service is simply amazing. Our room did have a few issues but they attended to them right away as well as personal emails to make sure everything was addressed to our satisfaction. They even gave us an room to crash (because we flew in red-eye) -never had that kind of service before. The hotel is really charming, amazing location and we had a great stay over the holidays.
The service was extremely professional and seemingly ersonalized - my little brother received a free stuffed animal, and we also got cookies and a personalized card from a staff member. The rooms are very nice if not expansive. The room we stayed in had two queen-size beds, and was one of a few of its type among hotels in the area. The shower was in the style of a rain shower and the water pressure and heat were quick to respond. The location is practically in Central Park, and has a subway station on the same block. 5/5 stars
Honestly! I’ve spent the same price at better hotels in the area. The only thing that this hotel has going is the location, otherwise I will never stay here again. Upon booking it was not addressed that the building was under construction and it does effect views of majority of the rooms. Not only was it an inconvenience, but it was loud all day from the early morning hours to late evening. When we checked in, I noticed that our room was located in the centre of where the scaffolding was. They blocked all windows and you weren’t even able to open them. I complained to the front desk and they were not helpful at all. So much for rest, the AC’s in the room sounds like there’s a train in the room. The room was always hot because it was too noisy to keep the AC on. The rooms weren’t cleaned thoroughly especially the bathrooms. A simple Kleenex box wasnt even provided! I spoke to management to address my concerns. They only provided a 20 percent discount even though I booked two rooms! No worth it at all!!!
With my AMEX platinum account I was supposed to get early check-in and a room upgrade. Neither were available. The only area of the hotel that had exterior scaffolding just happened to be outside of my two windows so I had no view. The rain was so small that I had to use the doorway to put my pants on. There were some good things like the staff and a comfortable bed but when the fire alarm falsely sounded on my last night that was it. Thumbs down not, coming back.
Stayed there last night. What a nightmare. First we picked them because they had room service. When we get there after an evening out we find out we cant get the room service we were so looking forward to. The building is surrounded by scaffolding needless to say there was noise all night. Didnt get any sleep. There are so many other beautiful hotels near by Im sad we picked this place. Also this room was not cheap when we spoke to staff about the issues we had they seemed like they didnt care. I will definently not be returning.
This is a beautiful hotel with the most accommodating staff in a prime location. Nice gym, free morning tea/coffee and a fabulous restaurant (The Wayfarer). Its also walking distance to Fifth Avenue and Times Square, to name just a couple of spots. Would highly recommend this hotel if you want to feel like a pampered New Yorker for a few days! The staff even left cake and wine in our room for my sisters birthday. Will certainly be returning.
Nice hotel. Room was smaller than anticipated. When I first arrived to check in went to room, but it wasn’t ready. The front desk upgraded to slightly larger room and brought up complimentary champagne and a snack. They also serve complimentary drinks in the lobby in the evenings for ~an hour.
Our stay at The Quin was wonderful from the moment we arrived (after midnight due to a delayed flight) to the day we left. Great service all around, but reception was by far the best. The room was impeccable with all the amenities youd expect and more. LOVED the bathroom design. Will definitely stay again when we return to NYC.
My room was cozy and comfortable and the check in staff were friendly. After I have gone to bed a clanging noise began that seemed to be coming from the heating system. It started off gradual and then got more and more frequent. After it died down the first time, I went back to sleep. 30 minutes later, it starts again. The front desk was helpful and allowed me to switch rooms in the middle of the night. The gentleman at the front desk explained to me where the noise was coming from and that he was sorry for the inconvenience. He put me in a room that, according to him, did not have this noise. While I am certain that he did not hold the power to do more than he did, I feel like the hotel management should strive to fix the noise or not put guests in the rooms that have this clanging noise. This is a 5 star hotel, and paying the price to stay here should guarantee a quiet restful night.
Great location next to Central Park and walking distance from Broadway shows, Times Square, 30 Rock, and other attractions.Room with 2 queen beds was good for a family of 4.Service is very good. Concierge and doormen were very helpful.Only issue was AC unit...although set to auto, the fan was constantly on high (noisy).
Arrived for a whole week to stay at a deluxe room. Was early checking in the morning and was surprised to get the room at 9 AM. Unfortunately the room was noisy since construction noise was coming from a building being built behind the hotel. Immediately after complaining to front desk we were upgraded to a better room at the top floor.Service is polite and immediate. Location is superb. Will stay again at the Quin. No doubt.
Great service, excellent luxurious accommodations, beautiful decor. The quiet room, nice linens, and comfy bed gave me one of the best nights of sleep Ive had.5 stars for over the top service and helping with a quintessential new york experience. Small things made the difference like the cool technology and awesome shower. One of a kind hotel that I would recommend to anyone!
This used to be one of the BEST hotels in NYC as far as Im concerned but its gone downhill. Taken away many room amenities, weathered furniture, soiled rugs, little hot water for shower, TV remote not working well, even taken away window sheers. Basically, they are converting to a Hilton time share so not putting any effort to the existing place before they convert. Problem is that price has not changed which means poor value for money. BEWARE!
I came last year for our anniversary and my husbands bday as well. The customer service was fenomenal. The gave us an upgrade on our room and we had chocolate cover strawberries and a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the room. Besides that we came during winter and the room was nicely warmed for our arrival. Really recommend this place. Oh almost forgot the restaurant downstairs and bar were absolutely delicious and not badly priced for the area. Would go back every anniversary if I can.
I truly believe this is one of New Yorks hidden gems. I come to New York almost every other week and have stayed in many hotels in the city. The Quin is always reasonably priced, rooms are brand new, bathrooms are a 10. The staff here is amazing. Most recently I was a little sick. When I called down for room service the woman asked me how I was feeling the second day. She remembered! She even gave me an extra scoop of ice cream. The house keeping brought extra accommodations for our little dog right away. The director of food and beverage thanked me for my business. Even when I checked in, upper management in nice suits grabbed my bags from the car because the regular bellmen were too busy. You never see the upper management pitch in like that. Not to mention the wayfarer restaurant in the hotel is a 10. Amazing hotel. Ive stayed here 5 times and will stay 5 more.
I have only stayed at Hilton hotels on a few occasions, including Hilton London Park Lane and Hilton Conrad Tokyo. On both occasions Id left feeling like I had received a very standard service, and so my expectations of the Quin were already quite low. The decision for choosing the Quin was the reasonable price for the time of year and location. I had paid £1833.85 (£431.71 per night) for four nights. In early December you will find all hotels in New York are at least 25% more expensive and in some cases double their standard rate. For comparison the Quin in January is just £240 per night. The hotel facilities were very basic. No complimentary bottle water on arrival, no cutlery or glasses in the room, no mini bar and no in-room dining. The staff on front desk were on the arrogant side, although I found the hotel porters and room attendants did a good job at making our stay as comfortable as can be. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations so is mostly covered in scaffolding. Fortunately our room was not obstructed. We had the deluxe room but the size felt like a basic room, with barely enough space to unpack. Overall, I found the hotel poor value for money and would not recommend staying here. The Hilton Quin is called a luxury hotel but compared to every other hotel Ive stayed at I couldnt see what part was luxury. A message to Hilton hotels. If youd like an example of luxury Id suggest looking at hotels like Corinthia, Langham and the Savoy.
Although located perfectly in the heart of Manhattan near Central Park, the Hotel doesn’t look in real as in the photos. The customer service is way below expectations, no Room service, no mini bar (just an empty fridge like the 3 stars hotel could have) . Definitely a 3 star hotel rather, with good marketing (and impressive reception&lounge) with high prices
The location of the hotel is really good, that’s the only positive point of this hotel.Anyways avoid this property. The person who checked me in, was really rude. It couldn’t be worse. The rooms were not clean and the rooms were really tight. The service was very slow and the picked up the phone after a long waiting time. The view from my room was not existing, instead of that I had a construction fence infront of my window and no one told me about that. Even though it was not written on the Hilton website. The entry of the hotel has also a construction going on, that was also not mentioned. On the base to be a 4 or 5 star hotel, it has nothing what us worth it. Even in the elevators I had 5-10min waiting going on, at 2am it’s 5min and no one is using them at that time. It is not worth the price, keep away from it. Especially as a Hilton gold member you don’t get any benefits!!! I mean really no benefits! Just a recommendation for you, leave this hotel and go to the London NYC which is just a couple blocks away to it. They give good upgrades and have an awesome service. All in all it’s old, tight, ugly and overpriced!
Nice helpful staff for the most part, except for when it took almost an hour for them to bring us cups that we asked for. Room was tiny, but thats to be expected when staying in Manhattan. The room itself seemed old and paint was cracking. The curtains were a bit stained and there were cobwebs on one lamp, which also had a dead bulb. The bathroom wasnt cleaned properly, there was dried urine on the seat. When we told the front desk they sent someone up to clean it and were very apologetic. The room was ok for a lower category hotel, but at that price point it was a huge disappointment. Do not be fooled by the pictures on their website.
Everything about our stay at The Quin was exceptional. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We were celebrating our honeymoon and Ring helped make our stay extra special by providing champagne. We used the concierge service to make reservations to a great Italian restaurant. Its rare to get such nice products, so we were extremely pleased with the Fresh products provided. Its also at a great location in Manhattan. We were able to walk down the street to Broadway shows. I would highly recommend staying at The Quin.
The hotel offers a superb location, as we are just a stroll from the Central Park, subway stations, 5th Ave most classic and luxurious brands, excellent lunch and dinner options in the surroundings. The facilities are also exceptionally clean, comfortable and secluded from the city noise. It is pricey but worth every penny.
My family and i had a great experience at The Quin this past week for spring break, stayed 5 nights. Our room on the 16th floor was a nice size and we didnt feel like we were on top of each other. All of us slept well and couldnt really hear the street noise below. Had breakfast at restaurant and it was good. Room was clean and had a nice modern renovated look. There were plenty staff around the lobby and all were very professional. It was also close to all the adventures we had planned while in New York. Would stay again.
It’s Just Okay. I was deciding between 2 different hotels and I choose The Quinn for the reviews. To be honest, this is our first hour here but I paid $776 for a “premier” queen room which is on the 3rd floor (I expected higher but no big deal). Already disappointed but still okay, and although it sounds petty and perhaps it is, we only have one glass in the room (my husband and I wanted to split a bottle of wine) and I called down for another glass and they told me they had no more glasses but could run up some cups. $776, 3rd floor, 1 glass. I have to say I am very disappointed but maybe this is just New York??? I’ll update tomorrow as we got in late and haven’t experienced the location but I had to express my disappointment.
The Quin was fantastic! The entire staff at the Quin was very eager to earn my patronage and loyalty. My room was spotless (very important). The staff was courteous, competent and very eager to please. There are always a couple of staff at any hotel that are good. However, at the Quin you can feel that the staff behavior is systemic and top down, that it is a matter of the managements vision of service. The location is great... one block from the foot of Central Park.I have stayed at many places in NYC. The Quin is my new favorite. This place just opened in Nov of 2013. Make guess is that they will not remain a secret for long. If the Quin can remain true to their current vision, that have much success in store!
My son and I stayed at the Quin last summer. It was an excellent experience. I ended up having extreme tooth pain and the hotel connected me with a dentist on Madison Ave. Within 3 hours I had a painless root canal with a fantastic specialist and continued with my vacation. The staff was amazing and the hotel was 5 star. We will be back.
Awful experience in the Quin Central Park New York.Reserve for 3 nights with 3 adult. In check at First night, give the wrong room with only two bed and said sorry have no way to change the room. Hence, my daughter had to sleep on sofa. The manager promises to exchange to top layer(17th) VIP room. However, when second day evening, after whole day activities in city and dragging a tire body back to hotel, just find the room is on 6 floor and find that new room is even much smaller than original one. Disappointedly then, the sofa bed is not set ready and after calling, it took more than 20 minutes to come, moreover, the sink is blocked and only two slippers instead of three. The hotel is just totally not reliable and I will not have any interests to stay again.
Had a blast here seeing the art they have in the lobby! The current exhibition is themed around the present blooming springtime, with vivid colors and imagery in the form of paintings, sculptures, and a magnificent video art installation. The attached bar is also super nice, with a lot of really tasty dishes! Definitely worth stopping in to have a look and a drink if youre near the bottom of Central Park!
We recently spent a weekend in NYC for my wifes birthday. I had planned the trip as a surprise, but my wife surprised me a few weeks before and told me she was pregnant. I decided to call and upgrade our room to something that would be sure to be comfortable for my wife, and after chatting with Glovina at the front desk she offered to upgrade our room for free. We were given a very nice room, a Terrace Junior Suite, on the top floor with wonderful views to enjoy -- we were thrilled! The Quin is doing things right -- its in all the details from the handwritten welcome note and treat that awaits you when you get to your room, to the maid thoughtfully leaving a bottle of water next to the bed where my wife had a half empty glass of water. The food and service from Room Service was excellent, we enjoyed both breakfast and a late night dessert on out the terrace. From the service to the room to the location, its all there at The Quin.Ive found my favorite hotel in Manhattan.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel a couple months ago. In my opinion it is not deserving of a 5 star rating. Its not that theres anything overly wrong with the hotel; It just is not nice enough to deserve a 5 star rating. The room was about average for the price point (ours smelled like smoke, but I doubt thats normal) and the attached restaurant is okay. The hotel also charged me twice for the room. Eventually one of the charges was reversed but still not something youd expect for a 5 Star rated hotel. With so many hotels to choose from I recommend looking elsewhere.
An amazing and perfect wedding anniversary getaway at The Quin in NYC!Upon our 1 pm arrival, we were greeted immediately with a warm welcomes. From the bellman, who quickly gathered our belongings, to a very professional staff at the front desk. Mirjana cheerily congratulated us on our 35th anniversary and to our surprise upgraded us to a beautiful suite. Our luggage was immediately tagged and taken to our room. The check in was short and easy. Our suite 907, where the living room and bedroom is separated and the bathroom equipped with bathtub and shower, were all very spacious and comfortable. The room was contemporary decor, clean, equipped with state of the art technology, plenty of bottled water, along with bath robes and slippers. The bed and bedding were extremely inviting and most importantly we had 2 wonderful, quiet nights of sleep. The Nespresso coffee/espresso machine was an added morning treat. Delicious! The location was unbeatable. Within steps of Central Park, Rockefeller Center and the subway, making it easy to get around the city quickly and easily. The Concierge was fantastic. After initially booking our room we needed assistance with planning our itinerary for our three day stay. Erika did a fantastic job. She outlined options for each day of our stay, along with recommendations of places to eat and things to do in the areas we were interested in visiting. Once we decided, she finalized everything by making reservations, giving us directions, as well as informing us of the right subways to take. Everyone was very thorough making it very easy for us to get around. When we arrived back at The Quin after our first day of excursions, we were surprised to find a nice bottle of chilled prosecco and chocolates in our room for us to celebrate—a very nice touch by the hotel team.We didnt get an opportunity to try the restaurant in the hotel. We were also very thankful for the complimentary late check out!My husband and I were extremely pleased we selected The Quin Hotel for our special occasion. We look forward to visiting again in the future. A big thank you to the whole team at The Quin for a memorable stay. I would highly recommend this hotel—all in all a great experience!
This hotel is a complete rip off. The management team makes false promises and NICK in accounting does not even bother returning phone calls. I had stayed at this hotel in Aug 2016 and was charged $587 on my credit card by mistake. The hotel was booked and fully paid online. I now have been chasing after a refund for about 6 months and been promised more than once that the refund will be processed. I have spent hundreds of dollars on long distance charges (calling the hotel to get my refund) and several hours of my time. I will gladly provide my information if the hotel responds to this google review. Save yourself the hassle and stay at a real 5 star hotel.
A fantastic hotel not far from Radio City Music Hall which my husband and I visited to see a show and not to mention right around the corner from Central Park . We had such a wonderful visit to New York. after an exhausting day of touring we came back to relax and did just that! the beds are very comfortable, staff was amazing ,friendly and very accommodating . I will stay here again for sure.
Quaint, beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of NYC. Unfortunately, they gave up our reserved room because we were running late to check in since we were driving all the way from FL & got stuck in traffic outside of DC. Therefore, we had to cram 7 people into the single hotel room they had leftover the night before Thanksgiving. Do not trust them to hold your reservations for you. We even called several times to let them know we were in traffic, but were on our way. They still gave our room away. They also refused to Valet park our car because it was too big even though it was supposed to be included with the price of our room & they never mentioned restrictions on size of the vehicle during the booking process. We had to traipse around NYC at 1am to find a place to park our van because they were so unhelpful. It was a nightmare.
Clean, with a strategic position just at the southern border of the Central Park. Times Square in 15 minutes walking. Plenty of services around. But do not use the central remote control in the room for deactivation of the Privacy Flag. It can activate but not deactivate it. Our room was not cleaned one day because the flag remained activated although the RCU showed it deactivated.
I have multiple food allergies and have so much trouble finding restaurants where I can eat (even in New York) that when I travel I bring extra food so that I dont have to go hungry. Prior to booking my reservation, I called the hotel directly with 2 specific questions: Do the rooms have refrigerators? and, Do the rooms have microwaves? Without any hesitation, their representative answered: All the rooms have refrigerators. We can provide a microwave if you request one with your reservation. It turns out that neither of these statements were true.1) they have beverage coolers. These are small mini-bar refrigerators that utilize absorbtion technology - they are not refrigerators that use compressors that most people would think of. The problem with absorbtion refrigerators is that they are not designed for perishable foods. They will make beverages cold, but will not maintain a constant cold temperature necessary for perishable food. The second problem is that these refrigerators are very small - adequate for a few beverages, but not large enough for a hotel guest to store anything more than a very modest amount of food.2) Upon arrival they informed me that they do not have microwaves available, nor did they make any effort to obtain one. This is a very expensive hotel. They did not remedy the problem nor offer me any compensation for my trouble. While many guests would not consider these to be significant issues, they were a big problem for me.
Had an amazing weekend stay at the Quin. Hotel is beautiful and the staff is fantastic. The room is well appointed and has wveryrhing for the discerning traveller. Locatiin is also a huge plus as its just a block from Central Park and the shops of 5th Avenue.I would recommend anyone to stay here and have the quintessential New York Experience.
The Hotel was great. But after I checked out they charged me without my authorization $2200 and I still dont know for what.I paid for the entire stay 4 nights + taxes on checking in.I called them up but they couldnt give me an answer with regards to this unauthorized charge. This is not Okay with me and I will take action.
Stayed here for nights in May of 2014 and it was a special treat. Top notch, friendly service, an unbelievably comfy bed, Fresh brand amenities and high tech room controls. We also had a very good dinner at the Wayfair restaurant downstairs and Betony is a couple blocks away (fantastic). Right by the F train and 2 blocks from Central Park. Highly recommended and well worth the price.
My first time to stay here. Rooms are nice . All automated . Bed ver comfortable . The room is not big and there is still a smaller room so i would avoid that . Staff are very friendly . Location is fantastic . Gym is hi tech but small . All round a very good hotel . Highly recommended
In a storied beaux arts building once frequented by famed artists and musicians, this posh hotel across the street from Carnegie Hall is less than 2 blocks from Central Park and the subway.Luxe, cozy rooms have Italian linens and Nespresso machines, plus minibars, flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Suites add separate living and dining areas, and wrap-around terraces; some offer city views. In-room dining is available 24/7.Amenities include a personal attache and a 24-hour fitness center. Theres also a fine-dining seafood restaurant with an elegant cocktail bar, and a drawing room off the lobby thats equipped with Apple devices.
الغرفة صغيرة وايضا السرير متهالك وغير مريحThe room is too small and it needs maintenance from the wallpaper to the bed which is not comfortable at all!! and sink drainage need maintenance too, the water drains very very slow which is really disgusting!! I dont know why I gave them 4 stars!! Maybe for the free Wifi &water?!
The location was perfect to get to Times Square, Central Park and 5th Avenue shopping, the amenities in the room were super posh, the bathroom was luxurious, the staff were attentive and genuine, the feel of the whole hotel was elegant and prestigious, perfect for an anniversary getaway.
Spacious room..65 smart TV...location...great staff specially Holly Breuche - Thank you for making it a great experience. We stayed at the The Quinn for 9 nights. excellent staff that and made it feel just like home.. room service called and asked if there is anything specific we would like done and did everything we asked for.. we usually stay at The Plaza but because we were staying for 9 nights it was a huge difference in price so we decided to stay at The Quinn. We are very happy we made that choice.
Honestly it saddens me that they’re using the name of a currency I did not enjoy my stay here there are a lot more bad things I want to say about the hotel might as well call it a motel because of what it’s called I’ll let it go just do you self a favor and go somewhere else

2022-05-28I was very impressed. To the point hotel. Check in was great. Service was awesome, all smiles all around from everyone.Room was large and comfortable and clean! Especially for a solo biz traveler , the location was spot on for meetings etc.surprisingly, the gym was top notch. The equipment was new and super clear. You get more value than the cost of the hotel.

2022-02-15Lovely Hotel. Would gladly stay here again. Close to trains, not too close to Times Square but close enough and Central park is right around the corner. The room was very clean and Im glad to see a hotel work on being more economic with its water use. The gym has just about everything you need for a quick workout but it is a little small and no smith machine. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

2022-05-12This was my third and last stay at this hotel. First two stay were before the pandemic, with good experience, and my last one in April 2022 was a different story. Things have deteriorated.Overpriced, good location but paying full price for a dark room on third floor without even a real window, not even a desk, a mattress way too soft, a noisy fridge and a wifi that is so slow you better use roaming. This is not a great experience. And nobody in the hotel asking if everything is fine with your accommodation, it does not show a strong customer care. Some other hotels in the same area are way better.

2022-03-21Positive: The location! And overall attentive service while still engaging with everyone individually made for a great stay there! Negative: Not in particular, even with the half marathon taking place during our stay, the roads which were blocked off were fairly easy to navigate.

2022-01-24The beds were super comfortable, very modern design with great technology (electric blinds that block out all light and great nespresso machine). No noise woke me up, and the employees were very accommodating and friendly. 10/10 recommend

2022-04-25This trip was my first time visiting New York. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It is walking distance from Central Park, Time Square and Broadway! The hotel was extremely clean and the hotel staff was professional and courteous. This will be my go to hotel each and every time I visit New York.

2021-12-28Dont stay here if you plan to work in the room - wifi is intermittent and unreliable. I spent hours with staff and their provider and the issue was never resolved in our 6 night stay. We were told we would receive points for our time dealing with the issue that were never issued. For a high end hotel, what a disappointment that I needed to waste so much time dealing with this.Hotel is brand new. Bed is very comfortable and bathroom in the 1 bedroom unit is large/very well appointment. Unlimited Nespresso packets and bottled water available. Unfortunately they use the standard Crabtree & Evelyn Lavender toiletries; I was hoping for something higher quality and less scented. The daily housekeeping is fantastic and they are very friendly.Overall, not bad location and room but I wouldnt stay again due to the wifi issues that could not be resolved.

2022-01-16Beautiful, spacious rooms in a great location near Central Park. Comfortable and quiet even in this busy part of the city. Highly recommend this location if you are visiting museums, Carnegie Hall or Lincoln Center.

2021-12-11Good location only. As a long time and former Diamond Hilton member had requested high room with a view. Received neither. Hotel had no restaurant or bar. Front desk staff not friendly. Would not recommend or stay there again.

2021-08-22Uneven experience. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms look nice. Very comfortable bed. Service good overall. But in our first room the AC wasnt working and the temp got up to 76. Thankfully they moved and upgraded us but we had the opposite problem with the temp getting stuck at 64 even tho it was set much higher. The showers are very poorly designed, especially in our first, smaller room, which had no storage space in the shower except for a bar of soap. (The upgraded room had a shower bench at least.) Good luck shaving your legs or bending down over and over again for your toiletries. Its also impossible to use the shower mat bc the low shower door pushes it away, and no matter what you do the shower leaks significantly onto the bathroom floor. The restaurant/bar looks permanently closed and is visibly deserted. Of course, the midtown location is pretty great.
