Recently stayed at this hotel for a work trip, and after checking out realized I forgot my AirPods after receiving the notification from the FindMyiPhone app that theyβd been left behind at the hotelβs address. Called them a couple hours later to let them know I left them in my room and to mail them to me once found, however they claimed to be unable to find them. I can see their location on the FindMyiPhone app, and somehow the AirPods ended up in Island Park, NY despite βnot being found.β
Great location! If youβve been to NYC a couple times and youβre tired of staying near the major tourist areas, this is a great place to be. The hotel is very nice, and itβs in easy walking distance to really cool areas like West Village, Chinatown, 9/11 Memorial, and a lot of cool stores, coffee shops, and great restaurants.
Rough around the edges and in serious need of an update. The location is a plus as the subway is located right underneath. The rooms are adequate but small and dated. The attached restaurant leaves a lot to be desired, a 3.9 rating on Google wont have people flocking. A decent place to grab a drink at least. The breakfast looked sorry and even though it was free for a Gold/Diamond Hilton Honors member we passed on it.Hilton should focus on improving this hotel when evaluating their NYC footprint.
I enjoyed my 3 night stay. Great location, a few different subway entrances close by. Itβs hard to complain about anything with a $137 per night room. Good size rooms, staff was friendly. Room was clean and well appointed. Bed was comfy. But if youβre doing things right, youβll be way too tired to care by the time you get back to your room. Viva NYC.
Disappointing. Good location and rooms size⦠but the hall carpet is dirty and wrinkled mess. Coffee service in room a positive⦠but no extra cream. Very nice staff at the front desk and engineering. Tv small but fine. Owners need to invest in the fundamentals to meet Hilton Garden status.
The penthouse suite is beautiful if youre lucky enough to get it. The other rooms are dated but adequate. The front desk staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is easy to get things delivered. Quiet despite central location off Canal street. Very satisfactory place to come and visit our NYU student.
Staff was always friendly and helpful. Room was clean and we ended up with a jacuzzi tub which was a surprising perk. We used the parking service which was a little more costly than we were told it would be originally but hotel handled situation professionally. Would absolutely stay here again.
Look I know Tribeca is super expensive, but come on. I paid like 500 bucks to stay one night with parking, and that was the special AAA rate. The hotel itself is fine but feels like if it was anywhere else it would be 75 bucks a night. And the parking garage is like 5 mins away and the people at the garage are super grumpy (and even tried to tell me that they were full and wouldnt park my car even though I already paid when I booked my room). In short, theres nothing wrong with the hotel. I know its an expensive area, and I know its just a pain in general to park in NYC. But the combination of the price point and the overall experience was plainly out of whack no matter how you add it up.
Do not stay here if you dont have to!The amount of minor inconveniences made my stay awful. Its clean, has friendly staff, and is centrally located, but thats the end of the positives.Intermittent heat, intermittent hot water in the bathroom, a TV that randomly goes dark, flickering light bulbs, the smell of cigarettes bc of smoking in the stairwell (where the butts were there to meet us the next morning), faulty outlets, a college dorm fridge that isnt cold, and raggedy closet doors on top of a quite dated facility are at the top of my list of reasons for never staying here again. Its been 7 days of misery. I do not recommend paying for such a lackluster experience.
For my experience in new york the worst ever! the AC unit broken kept me an my family waked up all nite for the fan noise after a long trip from europe! the room was not good for a Hotel at 500 usd per night also was assigned for me whit no view when we pay for one with a city view , not even a bottle of water in the room how could be , not even the soap or shower bath !! what a shame am completely speechless luckily the manager she understood the frustrations and probably will rembourse the fee for the first nite , but still absolutely out of mind compared to other hotel at same level
DO NOT BOOK DURING COVID. This hotel is very inflexible with bookings during COVID restrictions. Our trip was cancelled due to COVID restrictions changing in our home country as well as the state and city of New York, preventing our trip to the city. The hotel refused to work with us on a solution, be it cancellation, a hotel credit, or even paying a change fee in order to move the dates by a few months. I imagine their customer service is not much better than this in non-pandemic times. Would recommend going elsewhere.
A conveniently located hotel with a pleasant staff. However, Im giving it only two stars because sometimes people have early morning flights and like a hot shower before trekking to the airport. The first morning I was there, I rose after 6:00 and there was plenty of hot water. On the second morning, the morning of my departure, there was no hot water at 4:00, not even after running the tap for fifteen minutes.
Rooms are small and very basic/minimal for what you pay for, The AOA restaurant inside the hotel HAS ROACHES, I legit seen a baby roach on my 2nd day there, lost my entire appetite and had to leave β¦ I had a βDo Not Disturbβ sign on my door, yet my room door was manipulated when I returned to me room β¦. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ROACH MOTEL
I was extremely disappointed with this hotel compared to other hotels I have stayed in in New York. The location is convenient; however, it is at a very busy intersection and the street noise is unbearable. I had to check out early to get some sleep elsewhere. The hotel should replace the windows with sound proof ones or, at a minimum, provide ear plugs by the bed. The furniture was old and dingy and felt more like a motel. The property needs a serious upgrade. Also, the check-in experience was not the most pleasant with no recognition for diamond status.
Is a decent hotel when you first enter the lobby its quite large and has adequate seating and amice fireplace. The receptionist was very nice, s he checked me into my room and before knew it I was on the elevator. for my room I was impressed by how large it was. It could use a little uplifting not anything is broken or tayered.i cant really complain about anything I was on the third floor and I wanted to take a shower I had to wait about three minutes maybe six or seven minutes before the hot water was available. Its very quiet and it was really nice location and as soon as it came out of the canal St location the hotel was there.
If you are looking for spacious rooms in a central location, choose this Hilton Garden Inn located right next to Canal Street.Β This hotel is literally 10-15 minutes to everywhere in Manhattan.Β I absolutely loved my stay from the moment I checked in to the time I left and checked-out. The hotel rooms are huge for New York City standards and have all of the amenities you would expect, including mini fridges which I found hard to find in NYC hotel rooms. There windows are large and allow you to get the perfect amount of sunshine in before or after a long day.Β The beds are super comfortable.Β The bathrooms are efficient and have bath tubs for those looking to soak away some of their stress.Β More importantly, the hotel is near some of the most fabulous restaurants in NYC. If you are a runner like me, then you will be very pleased because there are lots of places to run near by.Β I was able to run along the water and all the way to Wall Street.Β Overall, this hotel is excellent, clean, spacious, and has friendly staff who want to ensure your stay is awesome.Β They even send you texts to see if you want recommendations for anything!Β I loved that touch.
This hotel is my favorite for when I have a fight with my girlfriend. Great location and absolutely wonderful beds (get a king if you can.) Receptionists are sort of like subway booth operators, but happier because their jobs arent awful. Competent, and theyll totally chat if you want.
This hotel is perfectly fine. The location is convenient for many subway stops; its primary draw to me. That said, its clearly showing a bit of age and there is a lot of deferred maintenance here. I talked to one of the maintenance guys...there is 1 on shift at a time for 100+ rooms. Thats not enough and indicative of a larger problem. Until they hire more staff, I expect the little issues to continue to accumulate and the overall quality to worsen.
I had to change my flight to a redeye and ended up getting into NY much earlier in the day than originally planned - 5am - but on the same day that my stay at HGI Tribeca was booked to begin. Like any reasonable person would, I went straight to the hotel. I offered to pay full price for a room at the previous nights rate, just so I could catch a few hours of sleep. The lady at the front desk refused, even though she admitted they had rooms available, citing ambiguous corporate policy. A hotel down the street was willing to rent me a room so I could catch a few hours of sleep before coming back to HGI to check in later.
What a lovely, warm, welcoming staff at this sweet Garden Inn. I was so impressed with the kindness shown to me when I made a terrible mistake booking through some kind of rip off online booking service (get a room) because of my hurried grab/slam/get it done stupid rush to get the booking done. This hotel helped me through, recognized the situation for what it was and made everything good for me. Not only did they situate me in room I needed for this quick trip with my daughter, but they also went above and beyond and assigned us a beautiful corner room with a view. The room was one of the most spacious, pleasant, Ive ever obtained in NY - the location was fabulous - close to the best of Tribeca and Soho -- all within easy walking distance. The staff at this hotel was such a comfort in every way for a whirlwind weekend through a January weekend in NYC - I will never forget the comfort of the hotel nor the staff. Thank you so much!
Clean rooms, friendly staff, but little misses. The rooms were clean, clean sheets, and large windows. my room had a stain in the carpet, and the bathroom door and entry door were so close they would bang into each other. Would absolutely stay here again. Fair price and trusted hotel.
Great hotel and friendly staff! The restaurant inside the hotel has awesome friendly workers too. They will help you choose a great meal and are helpful with questions about the city. The front desk was always welcoming you as you walked in the door and asking how your day was. They went above and beyond. Cleaners did a great job and are also extremely friendly.
Only stayed for one night. The room was pristine and everything was set up nice. The maids actually gave us extra shampoo and conditioner - which was very kind. The hotel is right above the ACE lines of the subway, so its really easy to get to the rest of the city. Its situated in a good area with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby
Great staff, excellent location. The hotel is set up for business and pleasure travelers. The rooms are equipped with all one would need. The beds are comfortable but range in the soft side. Great restaurants all around and the in house restaurant is also pretty good!
The location is great! The staff were very accommodating: we had an issue with our room - it was in between the elevators and stairway and very loud - and the hotel staff were able to move us to a new room immediately. The rooms themselves were fine, exactly what we expected.
Service at this location was good, everything was clean and in good order. Tea and coffee in the rooms were nice and the staff provided more upon request. The only reason were giving 4 stars is because of the noise. From our room we were able to clearly hear a conversation in the hallway - they werent shouting, just talking at a normal volume. We speculate this is because our door wasnt quite flush with the frame or the sound proofing just wasnt great. Luckily the other patrons didnt talk for long, but it could have been a problem. Overall it was a great experience.
Great hotel in a fantastic location. Loads of good bars and restaurants close by. Right on top of the A C E subway and close to the 1. Maybe getting a little tired around the edges and in need of a bit of attention. Free tea and coffee in reception in the morning and cookies in the afternoon. Main downside was the refuse collectors were very noisy in the middle of the night, so soundproofing could be better.
Wonderful front desk employees. The bed was a bit hard for me. I am 70 years old and everyhing bother me. The window unit heater was not able to keep me comfortable. Either to hot or to cold. Resturant were close by.Room was a bit small. That Mahattan Hotels for you.
Hotel is clean and has the expected room amenities, in addition to offering valet parking and a good location. However, hotel staff were unable to accommodate a reservation made months in advance due to another guests late checkout. As a result, we were put in another room (when we specifically asked for a certain type of room).
I LOVE this hotel. It has a great location and the rooms and public spaces are clean...but its the staff that keeps us coming back. They have all been there for the two years that I have been a guest which means there is very little turnover...that is really rare!! From the front desk staff and managers to the bellmen...they are all 5 stars. I wish I could remember their names to thank them personally!!Highly recommend this hotel!!
We had an excellent visit to Hilton Garden Inn for our trip to NYC. The staff was incredibly welcoming and kind, even with my 7 year old in tow. Though I booked a double room, they upgraded us to two king rooms, so my sister could have her own space. Amazing! The air conditioner kept us nice and chilly after a long day of summer heat. This is very important :). The cleaning staff was excellent, and they even arranged our various pillows and stuffed animals nicely on the bed. The location is excellent- Tribeca is pleasantly posh, and close enough to uptown to not be a hassle to get anywhere. Highly recommend this location.
Extremely friendly staff from their front desk (Stainley) to their valet parking staff. Convenient location. Close to Chinatown and elsewhere. Room was clean and fully met my expectations. Value equation was great, too. I definitely recommend this hotel and plan to stay here again.
I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Tribeca very much. The hotel staff was polite , and courteous. It was within walking distance of many local hard and restaurants. Nairobi at the front desk was especially helpful in coordinating my travel back to the airport, and I felt she went above and beyond what I would expect. The rooms were a bit smaller than I expected, but I wasnt there to sit in my hotel all day. Room was relatively clean, no major issues. The time I spent was during a higher rate, and it wasnt necessarily worth the high rate $300+, when it is normally closer to $200. Would consider again
2 problems:1) Ive stayed here twice and have gotten a total of 1 caffeine coffee pod. Even if you use the one regular pod, they will inexplicably replace it with tea or a decaf pod. They dont even have them down at the front in my experience.2) The elevators are incredibly slow, it will always be faster to take the stairs, even on the upper floors.Other than those, good hotel. Good housekeeping and convenient location for me, Ill absolutely stay here again (though I may start bringing my own coffee).
Great location. No frills high-end hotel in the heart of Tribeca. The staff is unfailingly polite, engaging & warm. I did notice a few hairs on my bed cover near the pillow. The parking is hard to find. Turns out they park your car for you. You just need to navigate treacherous Manhattan streets & confusing tolls to get there. Go behind the hotel, theres an alley, turn slightly right, park on the side street with blinkers on. Go inside the lobby & let them know. Theres no visible parking garage.
Not a fancy or charm hotel but pretty well located; good internet service and close to everything. Rooms are big and bed is very comfortable. Amenities from Neutrogena were a good surprise for the hotel. You usually dont get well know brand amenities in hotels at this price. Good option for a business trip or a stopover before a longer flight
This is one of the best Hilton hotels that I have ever stayed at, if not the best. The staff is exceedingly friendly and always willing to help out with anything. The accommodations were always clean and welcoming. The, excellent, breakfasts are served at the AOA Restaurant, that is attached. If you are looking for a hotel in lower Manhattan, this is definitely the place to stay.
This hotel was great. The location was perfect for us driving in from the Holland Tunnel. Subway right out the door was convenient. The staff was incredible. Edward was fantastic and super helpful. Clean rooms. Everything we needed. Priced right for the location. Free wifi.We would stay here again.
Very comfy bed and pillows. Got a room with a view of brick building next door. Clean bathroom. Plenty of storage/ drawers. Valet parking $75 and received the car in one piece at the end of my stayπ Concierge very nice. Area is nice with tons of places to eat. 911 memorial walking distance. Subway is just a 2 minute walk.
Great location. Subway entrance is right outside the hotel. Close to Holland tunnel (easy to get to New Jersey if you drive). Within walking distance to Soho, Chinatown, and Tribeca with tons of eateries to choose from. Rooms are a bit dated but prices were cheap when we stayed there. So no complaints.
I live a few blocks from here and my parents stay here everytime theyre in town to visit. Its a Garden Inn, so nothing is too fancy, and I dont think theyve ever had a room with a view, but its normally reasonably priced and the staff is always terrific. They always say hello and goodbye when youre passing through the lobby, they resolve issues quickly and err on the side of making sure that youre happy, and after 4 or 5 stays over the last 2 years, weve just always commented on what a great job they do.The breakfast is hit and miss... Food is decent but it comes and goes. There are moments of plenty and then dry spells. They recently started charging extra for the omelets in the complimentary breakfast (if youre Hilton Gold) and this isnt advertised anywhere or mentioned until the end of your meal with an oh by the way... which I found quite shady. Luckily, when we spoke to the front desk about it they said just to charge them to the room and they took care of it.
Just got back to England after our 5 Day break in New York staying at this hotel. And It was lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable. Free coffees in the morning to warm us up and the head of receptionist Mark was very kind and helpfulAll staff are lovely and the room was perfect. Thank you. Kayleigh and Tom xx
Friendly staff, amazing location. We chose this hotel because its two blocks from where the Bolt Bus drops you off in the city. Which made everything extremely convenient.Being this close to the two Canal Street subway stops meant that we were a direct subway line from almost anywhere we wanted to go in the city. And, especially because it rained one day we were there, one of the subway exits/entrances is about 50 feet from the entrance to the hotel. We got checked in no problem and they even allowed us to check out an hour late because it was closer to our bus departure time. Our room had a great view of the street and a ton of natural light. We could walk to the Hudson in 15 minutes to pier 25 and to the WTC in about 15 minutes, too. The Avenue of the Americas (6th Ave) has some great sight lines, too, so you can see a surprising amount of the city.
During our 3rd stay here last weekend, we experienced two security issues. We locked our room and left for 4.5 hours. When we returned, our door was ajar and held open by the deadbolt latch. It had also not been serviced by housekeeping. When we brought it to the front desks attention, they had no explanation. They offered 15,000 honors points for our trouble, which we couldnt care less about. We would like our hotel rooms to stay locked. Secondly, when we retrieved our bag from the lobby storage closet, it had another bag hanging on the extended handle which was not ours. We easily could have left the hotel with some elses bag since there was no verification of name or ticket number. If there is a bag storage protocol, it didnt seem to be in effect. These security issues will prevent us from coming back.
I was expecting a little more out of a Hilton. First the good. The overall cleanliness was great. decor was nice.Room was a great size, and it was quiet! Concierge &house keeping were very friendly and willing to help or answer questions! the hotel has a great location, super close to little italy, china town and all the subways headed uptown, literally right outside the front of the hotel. Its nice that it wasnt in the midst of the chaotic city, Tribeca felt more relaxed which was nice after a full day of crowds crowds and more crowds. Now the bad ...Bed was a memory foam which i personally am not a fan of but my daughter loved, i sank in and my back was hurting every morning. Front desk staff had a major attitude, and seemed very annoyed when you approached the desk. I was told there was no laundry service when there was. the restaurant connected to the hotel was overpriced and the food was awful! we ate there twice because everyone has an off day. nope. it sucked! and they charge you an extra 20% for room service! call from your cell and pick it up if you eat there to avoid 20% fee! but do yourself a favor and if you order in, order from china town or little italy, i did and it was delicious! Overall i think i would be back because of the concierge and the location i just wish the front desk would have a better attitude.
So far a very good experience. No actual complains; complementary WiFi, working air conditioning, good room service. The pillows are too soft and the mattress is a bit too firm. The pillow I slept on is stained with sweat all over but at least there is a clean pillowcase over it. Overall a good experience otherwise.
So many 5 star reviews which really surprises me. For work I stay at a lot of Hiltons and yes its in NYC so its not cheap but no mini fridge, not even a coffee maker in the room? Tiny didnt even begin to describe the room we were in (single queen room). The lobby is big, very nice. The location is excellent. The downstairs restaurants are OK, lots of great food in walking distance. If it wasnt for the location and the lobby its 2/5. Theres a lot of options, check them before booking.
Terrible customer service. The manager of this hotel is very rude and non-accommodating. Hotel is nice and in a good location. However if you dont value customer service as much then this is a good place for you. If your a Diamond member forget about it. They dont treat you any differently, even wouldnt provide extra water when asked.
Good value for money. The hotel is super well located. Walking distance to Soho, Nolita and Wall Street. The rooms are spacious and clean.Cons: aircon super noisy (extremely noisy) and the price for the water and drinks at the counter. I understand NY is expensive but makes no sense to have a different price at the coin machines located on each floor and the main desk.If the price is good, we would come back again.
I went with five friends for a dinner meeting. The food, drinks, and service were excellent. Our server Raquel was very attentive and every time u looked up either she or someone else was picking up something or dropping off something. Also, there were very timely requests to know if we needed anything else or inquiring as to our overall satisfaction with everything being offered. The food including appetizers were much better than I expected for bar food. Even the hummus and pita was excellent. The AOA Bar & Grill is a great spot for a quick drink and sports score update or a dinner with your partner.
Pristine hotel right by the subway station A and C take you straight to times square in 15 minutes.Very lovely area in Tribeca within walking distance to many attractions like world trade center and ghost busters fire station.Service is amazing. The rooms are clean and the beds are the most comfortable after a day of walking around the city.Definitely recommend.
I would like to share my experience staying in Hilton Tribeca. I stayed in hotel for 6 nights and I had horrible experience. The service and itβs quality is not up to the level of what they charge for each day. They kept water bottle for first day but they didnβt make any arrangements for next 5 days. It was usual for Them. The cleaning was good enough but they didnβt manage to provide toiletries properly. Lady used to forgot most of toiletry stuff.Room itself was right next to street which remains full of traffic through of the day as well as night. Noise is very loud and It used to make me awake sometimes. They donβt have proper blinds or curtain for the large window and itβs transparent. It never gets dark in night and will always see the police siren red and green light.Their room service has extended hold time and even with proper order, waiter brought the wrong food. The room remains dark as they donβt have any additional lights apart from the bedside lamps. They donβt have full curtain option to be put on window.Overall I would not recommend this place.
Convenient location near subway, Chinatown, Little Italy. Bar/Restaurant in the lobby is hopping on the weekend. Room was clean and comfortable, staff was very helpful and friendly. One of the few hotels with available 2 Queen beds during our stay, so it made it a no brainer choice for us.
Clean, nice size room & large bathroom for NYC (has a counter with space to use your toiletries). Breakfast buffet available in the bar is way better than Hampton (but you pay) and not nearly as nice as Milenium Hilton (where you pay way more), but it will do. Could use a refresh, but good for the price. Good location for exploring lower Manhattan.
Hiltons hotels are remarkably consistent. Each brand has their own little perks and differences, but the general experience always seems to be the same. Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable accommodations. This hotel is unique in having nice LED light bulbs instead of the harsh compact fluorescents most Hilton hotels have. Also, this garden inn has some sort of non-powered adjustable mattress. I like a firm bed, so I doesnt bother me, but this beds adjustment goes from firm on its softest setting to granite on its firmest. Some guests may find that rather uncomfortable. I also have the same complaint about this hotel as I do about every hotel Ive ever stayed at - houskeeping: please dont touch my toiletries, specifically my toothbrush. Otherwise, reasonable rates for NYC, and a decent clean hotel.
Would stay away from this Hilton. The rooms are dirty, several things were broken in my room, the elevators are very sketchy, and the housekeeping staff was very rude. There were blood stains in the carpet when I checked into the room, which was slightly alarming. Wallpaper was peeling off, anything metal was rusting in the bathroom. The housekeeping woke me up at 8am every morning with them screaming across the halls to each other. I politely asked them to keep it down, but they ignored me.
Im going to say honestly that this review could have went very badly. When I arrived my friend was already there and apparently one of the staff members had treated him in not a nice fashion. I would hope that this was more a social issue and not a racial issue so thats all Im going to say about that. Also when I got there my check in time was for 3 p.m. for the Penthouse Suite and my room was not ready. And like I stated this could be a nasty and negative review but it will not be because the staff there were absolutely wonderful and very helpful and very kind. Aside from that one staff member everyone else was very professional very courteous and very nice. From the manager who I believe was named was Joe, wonderful and really considerate and understood the frustrations of not being able to check in to your room until a good 45 minutes later and even offered me a discount towards my bill. Secondly there was I believe his name was Kevin at the front desk. He was so professional and so kind and so sweet and I appreciate his service also he apologized for the way my guest was treated by the fellow staff member who I will not name because I do not want this to be a negative review on the strength of one person. Lastly I most definitely need to shout out the wonderful and very very pretty Nairobi also at the front desk. She went above and beyond she even gave me breakfast buffet passes because she understood how unfortunate it was for me to be delayed on my check in time. She also helped Google direct me to a store when she didnt even have to do that. I didnt even expect her to do that but she did it out of the kindness of her heart and it was very very very sweet of her. I hope the Hilton Tribeca knows how wonderful their staff members are because like I said this review could have been very negative but because their staff was so professional and so kind and it was so aboveboard that I couldnt possibly write anything negative. But I do want to state to that one staff member who was very negative to my GUEST because maybe he didnt look like he deserved to be in a Penthouse Suite that you cannot judge a book by its cover. You dont know who has what and who is doing what with their lives and let that be a lesson to you Period. My room was absolutely fabulous I love the penthouse suite with the whirlpool tub. They are one of the only hotels in the city who even off of whirlpool tub and I absolutely loved it . I loved the big 50-inch screen TV I loved that the penthouse was on its own floor I mean who wouldnt love that. The restaurant in the hotel was lively and very chic . Hilton Tribeca was a wonderful spot to relax In. And the continental breakfast was delicious. All in all we had a wonderful time and we will definitely be returning to the hotel
My husband has stayed here multiple times in the last couple years, great location, price and staff, up until our most recent stay this past weekend. We stayed Saturday night at the hotel for a short NYC trip, before checking out on Sunday morning, I saw a cockroach on the bathroom floor right by the toilet, dropped some towel over it and ran into the bedroom. When my husband tried to kill the insect, it crawled behind the toilet and disappeared. We called front desk asking someone to be sent up to look at it. 15 minutes later, their staff came and looked around/under the sink and declared thereβs no roach and left, did not even bother checking behind the toilet where we told them the insect probably crawled into a crack.Upon checking out, we asked to speak with the manager about the incident since our biggest concern was that the insect might have laid eggs on our stuff in the bathroom/room (probably silly fear, but thought itβs worth confirming). At this point I was pretty shaken up, having never seen a cockroach in real life. When we spoke with Lisbeth Santana, who was the front office manager that responded to our earlier phone call, her response was more upsetting than the incident itself. βIβm sure your stuff will be fine, we have never had a roach incident, and you do not have a picture of itβ I asked if sheβs saying we are lying, she responded βI have never encountered a roach incident since I started working hereβ, and gave us her business card to follow up if we had any questions, no apologies. We were dumbfounded, but decided not to let it ruin the last bit of our trip or delay us catching our flights and left the hotel. In summary, if you do not want to risk coming face to face with or being treated like a cockroach, do not stay at this hotel, room 430. Hands down worst hotel experience in my entire life. Probably will never stay at another Hilton again.
It was an ok stay. The receptionist wasnt all too friendly upon arrival. The rooms were of normal size but the bed couldve been more comfortable. The valet parking is overpriced, you are better off leaving your car at one of the parking lots while paying early bird parking rates.
Great location with easy access to the subway. Prices are much better than other areas of town so If you dont mind a little subway ride, its a good deal. The staff was amazingly helpful and the downstairs restaurant is convenient and really high quality food. Easy walking distance to things like the Whitney.
Great location on Avenue of Americas, very friendly staff, clean rooms. We asked for extra pillows and coffee pods for the in room coffee machine which they brought up to us. Skipped breakfast, but the lobby smelled like blueberry pancakes - almost made me regret sleeping till 11 because of the generous 12 checkout time. Almost. Would recommend.
I have stayed at this hotel many times on business, and I have to say it is one of the better business traveler hotels that I have stayed at. While everything in New York costs more than where I hail from the value this hotel provides is worth every penny. Everything is clean, the water is hot, the bed is comfortable, and the Internet access complimentary. The staff is friendly and and the bar and restaurant provide a good value, even though I think the drinks are overpriced.
Stayed her with my husband for a couple of days. This hotel doesnβt take Covid seriously and is a Covid hotspot. All the guests were crammed onto one floor and the room we were assigned was a room where a 1st responder had stayed the night before. They are located close to a police station with lots of high exposure to virus Police officers as guests. I would stay away from this hotel, they do not adhere to the 2 nights between guests recommendation by health officials.
The beds were not comfortable. I am came for one night to pick up my daughters graduation tickets from NYU. My sister who is 6 months pregnant also came along ...no one got any sleep because of her level of discomfort. There was actually like a sinkhole in the middle of her bed. The room was clean, the concierge was very hospitable and the OTO restaurant had good food!
Room was a little rough around the edges but fine for one night. Service at front desk and guy at the desk near the door was great. Was in room 421, view if the city and far from noise of the elevator etc. Great location for visiting Tribeca area and easy subway access. Check in and out was super easy.
Many problems with this hotel. When I got to my room I had to iron my shirt. The iron in the room ended up being covered in grease and ruined my shirt. When I explained this to the desk they were smug and unapologetic. Had to work online in the evening only to find out the wifi internet only works with droid devices. People at the desk were unable to fix this problem and at first made it seem like it was a problem with my phone but after asking a few more questions I realized they basically just dont have working wifi. Rooms are ugly. Views are ugly and hotel was a big disappointment all around. Will never stay here again.
I already gave this hotel a very good review on Expedia, but in driving home today, we have ants all over the car! My sonβs Land Rover app had alerted him that his car was unlocked & had a window open, but we just thought it would be ok, assuming you parked it in a secure location. We paid $75 each of 2 nights and have ants, because the window was left open. We had no food in the car.
Off the start, the hotel lobby worker was so rude. His name was Michael S. I was waiting for them to valet my car, I was told to park off to the side in which I did. Michael comes running outside all mad because he wanted me to back up 5 MORE INCHES. It was not a big deal at all and couldβve been handled in a much more professional way. Also, my friend paid their hotel in cash and got charged on their card as well!!! They told me valet was $65, and charged me $78. Clearly this hotel just wants our money. Do not go here
Stayed Sunday night, 8/13. Woke up and within 6 hours, these bites started showing up. Contacted the GM via email, no response. Contacted Hilton Honors Guest Assistance, they opened a case and connected me to the front office manager. Promised a call back within 2 hrs. Never called. Meanwhile had to seek medical attention due to the reaction from the bed bug bites. Dr agreed, on the type of bites. The next day, the hotel closed case without contacting me at all. Once again I had to call Hilton Honors Guest Assistance, who were awesome, and took care of the issue and then some. Avoid this hotel at all costs. This all could have been avoided had the hotel had the common decency to call me back. They chose not too. Game on.
Convenient location at 6th and near Broadway, youll good rates here along with nice sized rooms (especially for NYC) with refrigerators, microwaves, Keurig coffee makers, etc. The hotel restaurant has a decent selection of drinks, too, but I didnt eat there. Housekeeping also kept up with my room daily, restocking and cleaning as expected. The only thing you wont find here are nice views - its 5 stories tall so youre mostly at street level.
Donβt stay there. It is not worth the money or the rate. The rooms is less than motel standard. It smells and is loud. The door does not close up and the corridor light can be seen. The Staff is unfriendly - specially the Operations Manager. They donβt care if you donβt like something or have problems. This gentlman does not even know the word thank you or good morning etc.... very arrogant! Should not work for a brand called Hilton or in the hospitality Industry. The bed is very uncomfortable. Hard and somehow bulky. It just does not support to fall asleep.Watch out if you send something to this hotel cos they are charging you literally 10$ per package.Charging 6USD for a bottle of water in a self service fridge at Hilton Garden Inn is hefty which you are actually forced to pay as the room does not have clean water or neither provides 1 bottle.
I really enjoyed this place. It was my boyfriends and I 5th anniversary and they gave me a wonderful upgrade and a bottle of wine with a cute note. It was really a wonderful stay... Oh and the food at the restaurant is really delicious. 5 stars all day!! Thank you HGI!!
Excelent service at front desk, always friendly and helpful. Good location close to Soho and Wall St., great value for the price. I really liked the detail that they usually put coffe, apples and some snacks for the customers at the lobby to enjoy. One always appreciate a coffee on the cold or an apple when you hadnt had a fruit in the day.
Rooms were small (stayed in a King Evolution?) and didnt have a good view as it was the back side with little light exposure. The room was not serviced even though we didnt put out a Do Not Disturb sign. Overall an average experience with a few minor pains that prevented us from giving it a 5-star rating/review.
I booked a room here w a jacuzzi at 9:34 February 14,2019 and I was told somebody else took the room I booked like are you kidding me. One lady came she told me somebody else had book it the same time I booked it and a different lady came right after her and said is a maintenance issue. What a big liars! Miscommunication between the front desk ladyβs I guess. Unfair business. I would not come back here. Plus no offer smh π€¦ββοΈ Iβm done. Next time be more organize. My advise to yβall
Probably one of the worst customer service experiences Iβve ever had at a Hilton property. Next trip to nyc wonβt include this Hilton location. Rooms are nice and clean but front desk staff are rude, short and donβt follow through on tasks. Front desk staff need to be retrained on hospitality.
Great hotel which nicely located to 32 Ave of Americas. The bar and grill connected to this hotel has very good food for the price, also has a good selection of screens for watching sporting events. This is my go to hotel for any time I need to be at 32 Ave of Americas.
Convenient Tribeca location. Rooms are not large - its New York! - but clean. Staff is friendly. AoA restaurant is very good. Breakfast costs about $16 but is hearty and good. Rooms with Tribeca View also get street and subway noise, but noise is not obtrusive. Other rooms are more quiet. Subway station adjacent to hotel. If youre driving (expensive parking!), access to Holland Tunnel via Canal Street is good. Good value for money in NYC. Have stayed three times and will happily stay again.
Well kept hilton in a great spot! The blue route subway spots directly outside the hotel and theres lots of little shops, restaurants, and bars to check out in the neighborhood. The rooms were comfortable but pretty basic. Obviously when you visit NYC youre not there for the room, its all about location and this spot didnt disappoint
The manager kept me from my room because I did not have $50 for incident al s which would have been given back at the end of my stay anyway. I had to sit in the lobbyinstead of go to my room and get a rest. It was highly disappointing because I displaanyway?d my wallet and I assured her I could take care of it in the morning, but why when I would get it back an
Im rating the front desk service. When I visited on Sunday 9/11 around 6:30 PM, there was only 1 gentleman at the front desk; they have a little help yourself botega next to the check-in desk for small food items, drinks, etc. The service was very poor...they should always have 2-3 people @ the front desk to assist guests, as well as visitors.
The Hilton Garden Inn in Tribeca was in a lovely location. The housekeeping staff was beyond gracious and kind, and the room was very clean with a large window. However, I must say that the reason I am writing this review is due to the disrespectful treatment of the guest that was staying with me by the hotel manager Teana. Although everything was in order for my guest to have her room key replaced if she lost it (as ensured by the kind gentleman who checked us in and asked for all of our contact info), Teana was unfriendly and unhelpful to my guest who simply needed to get back into her room for the night, even though my guest was nothing short of respectful and considerate of Teana and the hotels policies. Though there is not much you can do about someone being rude, I think it is important for people to be held accountable for their actions towards others. I would hope that the Hilton Garden Inn administration might care about the treatment of their guests, and will take into consideration the importance of genuine kindness in customer service as they evaluate their employees.
Highly disappointed you would only refund me 1 out of 2 nights for my cancelled booking through Priceline. I had a medical emergency heart surgery. I booked Delta flight through Priceline and they had no issue waving the cancellation fees due to the circumstances and issues full refund. After Priceline and myself attempted to get a full refund you still refused. From the information I gathered this was clearly a situation where Hilton lacked compassion and understanding. I will no longer stay at Hilton in the future.-RJ
This is exactly what you would expect from a Hilton Garden Inn. The decent if not small room and the staff is helpful. This is NYC, so get a high room away from 6th Ave. and it will be quiet. Probably the best feature is the location of subways. The A, C, E line steps are literally right in front of the building. If you take mass transit (the Q70 bus to the E line), you get off right in front of your hotel. Not bad for $2.75. My only regret is that I didnt buy an unlimited subway pass because the 1 line is across Canal and other lines are just a few blocks away. Adult tourists: skip Midtown West and stay because TriBeCa and SoHo nearby.
This hotel is a whole lot better than the reviews would lead you to believe. I have passed this Hilton Garden Inn dozens of times, in years gone by, without giving it a second look. It is located in my preferred area of New York. Since 1990, I only stay downtown; Soho, Tribeca, Battery Park, The Village, Nolita, The East Village, and the Lower East Side are the only options. You wont see me midtown. Aint going to happen. In the past I have stayed at the Soho Grand, the Tribeca Grand (The Roxy) The Smyth, The James, The Thompson, Hampton Inn on Watts, The Trump Soho, Duane Street Hotel, The Conrad, etc. Yes, I have stayed at a lot of hotels through the years. Hotel prices and hotel taxes in New York have gone up exponentially. The pricing can be ridiculous. The Hilton Garden Inn Tribeca is in a fantastic and safe location, walking distance to the Village, Soho, Little Italy, Chinatown, the East Village etc. The day time personnel are great, but beware of the weekly, night time staff. They can be surly. Rooms are small, but clean with good water pressure, excellent AC, and our room was quiet. Bathrooms are also tiny, but everything works. When the Tribeca Hilton Garden Inn is $60 or more per night cheaper than the other hotels in the area, that is irresistible. Just think what that can buy, or the great meals you can have with the money saved. This will be my #1 go to hotel on future trips to New York. Hopefully, Ill save a ton of dough.
Staff are lovely, rooms good size, usb charging good,, free wifi good, shower good not the normal heavy dribble you get in most hotels here.. So why the 3stars... The heating in the rooms is the fan in the ac which sounds like hair dryer right next your head, so turned that off and you still have the humming from all the other fans in the other rooms.. You can sleep but its very irritating. And the hair is very week.. Also I brought some snacks from the pantry that would normally cost around 10dollars but cost me 37...rookie error
Really enjoyed my stay in this hotel! Stayed for 10 days and spend Christmas and New Year days there. Amazing location in TiBeCa wich is a hip, calm neighborhood far from the masses that jam the downtown but just a few metro stations away from Union Park, Greenwich Village, Brooklyn and a lot of awesome places to visit. I recommend it. Best place to stay in New York if you donΒ΄t count on a big budget and donΒ΄t want to risk at Airbnb or similar.

2022-06-20I had such an amazing experience! The front desk staff was so accommodating, and they made my stay even better than I expected. I would recommend this hotel to anyone I know, and will definitely stay here again next time I need a hotel in NY. One of the employees stood out. I forgot her name π« (it starts with an A), but she deserves a raise!

2022-07-09Very disappointed and expected more. I have stayed at Hilton hotels all over. I checked in today to find the room basic but needing updating and a paint job. The air con didnβt work. Had to sit in room and wait for βrepair guyβ. He Walked back & forth and accomplished nothing. Told us to wait again. Then decided to go to desk since no one answers the phone In-house. The girl changed my room which meant packing up my stuff in the one room to another asking her for and upgrades which the girl at the desks told me she was looking for one. Our new room was oddly shaped and for a person with special needs. Two towels? Yup 2 towels! TV? Smallest Iβve see in hotel in a long time. Oh, and NO DRESSER!! Really? If I would lose my monkey I would stay at the Roxy Hotel.Very disappointed. I would think for a hotel in Manhattan Tribeca, it would be nicer. Again, very disappointed

2022-01-26Stayed for about 20 days then extended for 20 more.Great and actually helpful staff, awesome location close to tons of vibrant restaurants, shops and a nice riverside park. Pretty quiet even with windows facing 6th Avenue. Big rooms, old but clean. My only issue was the air conditioner making some noise showing its age.

2022-06-22Only good thing is locationHotel itself is really terrible for the price. They wont give you water .... Like really?? I asked for some toothpaste which was also not provided took 3 hours for them to bring it up. The lamps in the room does not work one cant be turned off and the other you cant turn on. The wall sockets are falling apart. The telephone microphone doesnt work properly. The room was at least kind of clean. Still has hair from the previous person in the bathroom tho

2022-06-14I DO NOT recommend this hotel. I checked out a day early because when I got back to my hotel room the night before, my door had been left open because the deadbolt was engaged. Itβs not clear how long it was left open, by whom, etc. This was quite alarming, especially as I was traveling alone. When I checked out, I was told the manager would be in touch immediately. They never called. I called back again to ask what happened and to inquire about getting a refund since I checked out a day early and well before check out time, but radio silence. My credit card company even has reached out with no luck.Steer completely clear of this place. There are far better hotels that wonβt treat a complete breach of safety as not their problem.

2022-01-02Aside from inconsistent Cable signal (couldnt watch TV without constant interruptions), an AC unit that would keep blowing warm-air when I set the thermostat to blow cool-air, keycard/digital keycard issues, my stay was great.Front desk staff is excellent at what they do, and they are really good at multi-tasking too.My stay was smooth and the location is great with great access to fun stuff to do downtown. Would definitely stay here again.

2022-02-21Clean room with amazing water pressure in the shower. Affordable rate and friendly service (except for one of the overnight front desk workers). Overall, nice stay.

2022-06-16Overall good experience. Small enough to be recognized by staff and appreciated. I would say it was well worth the price being in a great location near downtown and ACE subway station.Main downside was that I would like a darker room in the morning.

2022-04-25There was quite a few issues with our room - broken equipment - limited hot water (none in the early morning) - no one to clean or make up the room or remove trash.... In lieu of this we got a trash bag to do our own removal of trash! For the cost of the room this was not acceptable. One of the worst hotel experiences and we have had many. I have always trusted this chain but not this time. The site advertises parking however its blocks away in a garage that opens with their own policies so if you need an early start for a flight you could be out of luck!!!

2022-04-22Great location for where I needed to be (Ghostbusters HQ, of course), good room size for Manhattan. I did find a used drinking cup under the bed, so room service was perhaps not as thorough as one might like, but if thats all Im complaining about, this wasnt all bad. Will stay again.
